Do not get vodafone broadband. The signal is weak and cuts out as soon as there's a hustle of wind. We've been without Internet for several days and it has taken 3 hours and 4 phone calls to get them to finally agree to send an engineer and even then they booked the wrong day. I'm not asking for the world, just for them to do their job!

I am afraid that I struggle to think about a company more rubbish than Vodafone. Unprofessional - despite agreeing to pay a final bill toward which I had complained, they still haven't removed the negative note on my credit report. please don't make my mistake and STAY AWAY.

I've got the deal for a broadband on 23rd of March. It's 21 of April already and the optical fibre haven't yet been connected. Since then two visits of city fibre engineer had been scheduled. On both of the visits no work was done. The first engineer did show up, yet prefer canvassing instead of the work he supposed be doing. The second engineer missed the appointment completely. Both time I was required to take my time off work and only just to be ommited by the engineer. Each time I've raised a complaint and new timeslots for engineer visit were proposed. I've told myself to give it a try for a third time, however I learned that my order get cancelled, thus I would be required to go through whole process one more time. I don't care enough to just stay with Vodafone (I've been Vodafone client for 4 years) and will not tolerate this any longer so I'm going to look for the other priver offers as I will recommend my friends to do likewise. Worst experience ever.

The big problem here is the very poor customer service. I've spent more than four hours on the phone and using their chat service and still haven't resolved the issues.

Since broadband was installed 3 months ago we have had next to no service, it drops out all the time. I have made numerous calls to Vodafone they keep getting me to reset it and after 24 hours it will be fine. Speak to different people each time half of them say they can't find the notes regarding my previous calls. My daughter was here last Friday, she is more tech minded and told the guy we needed somebody to come and check the line, he said City Fibre would contact us within 3 working days, that didn't happen. I rang Vodafone again yesterday, lady told me she could fix it and some of my equip was on 2.4G and some on 5G. I've only got 2 things on it. She would resolve it remotely and within 24 hours all would be good. Came in tonight, no Internet and now also no landline.... Another call to Vodafone, had to reset it AGAIN has told me it will be working in 24hours. Not holding my breath. Wish I had read the reviews. Would definitely not recommend Vodafone for broadband. Absolutely useless customer service. I am going to try and cancel my contract although that doesn't look very hopeful, how are they able to get away with it.....

AVOIDD!!!The worst services ever!! The worst customers services. Even Talk talk are far more better!
I would give less then one start if possible after such bad experience with them. I made a contract for home broadband after using them services for many years for my mobile. They made the contract lying and saying they will provide the best services ever and even a consistent present. The present was just a lie as after 4 mouths didn't received anything. Anyway ...they lie to me again about the live day for the internet keep postpone that. Finally the start internet arrived and waiting for the green router light witch even after 3 mouths and a half failed to come. I spent daily hours and hours with them on the phone all off them promise to fix it. I asked them to cancel in those 30 days but they keep lying assuring me I will finally have internet 3 mouths like this....after so much waiting my sister who lives at the same address as me, tired of waiting made new contract on her name with different provider. I didn't know at that time that one contract cancel automatically the previous one because of just one phone line assigned per house. Suddenly Vodafone remembered about me and sent me a 218£ bill for cancelling the contract. Paying 218£ for nothing as THEY FAILED to provide them services and ignore my calls (for 3 MOUNTHS) for witch the contract was signed. I start calling them again daily each of the UNTRAINED customers services employees kept me on the phone for 2-3 hours saying they can not wave the extra charges. I made numerous complaints every time they promising special team will contact me as priority ,2 weeks still waiting. PLEASE try to avoid them 'services' AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!!!

Decided to take out the broadband after being a mobile customer with Vodafone for 15 plus years, biggest mistake of my life, after being told i would not have to pay for the install I was charged the £118, after complaining and requesting a call I had with the call centre be listened back to prove what i had been told no one ever got back to me, 14 months later and a further 3 complaints not one of the Vodafone staff have been in contact to resolve this matter, hands dowm worst broadband provider i have ever had in over 10 years. once upon a time i had a really happy life til a frightening nightmare called VODAFONE broadband came to my life. trust me with this and believe me I AM NOT JOCKING, still i have nightmares about their horrible service. i am now relieved a released from this horrid company as i paid the termination fee and ended my sorrows. THIS IS FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO JOIN THIS SHAMBOLIC COMPANY. PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED BY THEIR CHEAP PRICES AND SPECIALLY BY 5 STAR COMMENTS AND REVIEWS YOU SEE HERE. i suspect most of the 5 star reviews are from VODAFONE itself. i confess that i was fooled by these 5 star reviews and ignored the critical comments about vodafone broadband service. if you really care about your internet status and SPECIALLY YOUR INTERNET SPEED, DO NOT EVEN THINK YOU CAN GET IT FROM VODAFONE. if your work online, stream online, need fast download or even chat online, trust me signing up with VODAFONE will be your worst nightmare. if you have kids who watch on amazon, netflix or any other online streaming websites, DO NOT GO WITH VODAFONE. you will get most of the times as low as 3 mg download speed. it does not make any difference what package you have. i was on 76 mg package and i was still getting 3 mg speed. final words, a big 0 star all around to VODAFONE broadband service from customer service to INTERNET SPEED.it is the biggest scam i have seen as they charge you for something they would never give.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM VPDAFONE BROADBAND

I left BT to go to Vodafone after shockingly poor customer service. Little did I know that Vodafone was equally as bad! Their customer service team all seemed nice guys but none of them knew what they were talking about. I was given incorrect information by the operative I signed up with which would have cost me more money unless I hadn't recorded our call and could prove she had mis-sold their product. I had further calls to quantify emails that they had sent to me which gave conflicting information to each other and no one could explain the emails they sent to me. Calling their customer service is not a quick procedure and each of my calls lasted between 30 and 75 minutes - not in queues but talking to advisors who didn't know what they were on about or needed to get further information from colleagues about elements of their products that they knew nothing about. I am still in my 30 day "cooling off" period, and believe me I am leaving straight away. I have never encountered a service as bad as there one I left at BT but Vodafone are well up there with the worst! Don't even bother unless you like to get stressed out by emails they send which suggest they've signed you up for that you never requested and unless you can afford to spend hours on the phone to operatives who do not know what they are doing. You have been warned!!!

One of the worst providers. Speeds are slow in the evening, connections keep dropping, router keeps disconnecting and restarting. Customer service keeps coming up with a different story every time. Awful service.

I chose Vodafone because they were the cheapest provider and also as I thought they are a big well known brand they should be OK. When I first got connected there were some teething issues with the speed up and down but after maybe a week it was fine u get about 70mbit via wired, wireless is lower maybe 35-50 depending if I go from 2.4ghz to 5ghz. I wish it was a bit faster on wireless so I think I will get my own router configured as I have heard the router is the issue with wireless speeds. Can't complain really all streaming etc works without buffering.

DNTWABP. had a week. On first day it went off after an hour. Took an hour to get through to call centre, then They could not resolve issue. Called back the next day, another hour on the phone. Told them to cancel the contract. Got home from work and it was working, so another hour to get through to tell them to leave it on instead which they said they would. A week later and they disconnected it themselves. Another hour on the phone, a half hearted apology and told they will "email" their connections team
And switch me back on in THREE days! Three days later and it was still not on so just waited 2 hours for a call back and been told I shall have to wait another 3 days. Almost a week without internet. The customer service is shocking, the advisor was patronising telling me it was my fault for asking to disconnect. I told him to re-read his notes and that it should not of been switched off. Rather than apologise the advisor decided to get in to an arguement with me. Horrendous company, with long call queues as they will not pay to staff the call centre. Staff do not know how to treat customers like customers.

Hands down the worst fibre broadband I have ever had.
I went for the "Superfast2" option, it constantly drops the connection when multiple devices are connected so it's not suitable for an average size family home, decent enough speed for 1 or 2 devices but that's it. If you have a few X-boxes, phones, Netflix, etc running at the same time then stay well clear of this company, you will be left severely disappointed and counting the days down until your 18 month contract runs out.

When you start asking questions about the poor quality of service you will be put through to the technical team who's first response is to inform you that your connection is syncing at the maximum speed ~63Mb, why this is important I don't know as the actual data throughput from this connection is woeful.
They will then "help" you diagnose the quality issues you are experiencing, unplugging filters, cables, reset router, etc. Ultimately this results in them sending you a new router which makes absolutely no difference what so ever.
At this stage its then just a case of wash, rinse & repeat every time you contact them, I think I was on my forth router by the time my contract was up.

Switched to a new provider advertising the same speeds as Vodafone and the difference in quality of service, primarily download speed and throughput is day and night.

I was concerned by all the negative reviews I'd read, but my experience has been great.

I switched to Vodafone after my previous provider increased the price. As a Vodafone mobile customer, they offered me 38mbps fibre for less than I was already paying for standard broadband, which was a great deal.

They cancelled my existing provider for me, which made the switching process very simple.

The switchover wasn't seamless as something went wrong on the scheduled day and the issue had to be referred to Openreach. But, as a Vodafone mobile customer, they gave me 50gb extra mobile data (with the promise of more if the problem couldn't be fixed quickly) so I could use my phone as a hotspot. This tided me over nicely until the problem was fixed in 4 days, without the need for an engineer visit.

Since then, I've been really impressed. I consistently get download speeds of at least 32mbps (despite my previous provider citing the phone lines into my building as an excuse for slow speeds). The connection has been very stable too.

The Vodafone router is a vast improvement on my old provider's. The Wi-Fi now covers every corner of my home, eliminating some annoying blackspots. Their app for controlling the router is really handy too.

I realise others have had worse experiences - but, based on my own in London, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vodafone.

Moved to Vodafone 76mb package from BT Infinity 2. BT's obfuscated billing drove me away. Vodafone package is £30/mth for 18 months, no additional line rental - simple! Switchover was seamless. There was a little variation in sync speeds initially, but this has now settled down. I have a slightly slower sync than I was getting with BT, but never any disconnections. I am using the supplied router for DHCP and modem purposes only, everything comes in through a separate wireless access point. Some people have reported that the Vodafone router can't handle more than a few wireless connections - I have had no such issues. I contacted Vodafone customer services via live chat to get my authentication details, which they will provide if you quote an Openreach-approved router that you want to switch to. Now I'm using the Vodafone router as stated, this is no longer required, but good to know you can use your own equipment if preferred. Happy customer so far.

I cannot comment on their speed I'm afraid as you'll soon find out why.

Fibre has recently been activated in my area and in February I found Vodafone had the best fibre deal around. I went through all of the application process and was told my activation date would be March 1st.

On March 1st Vodafone successfully shut down my old Internet provider however did not activate their connection. I contacted them (Online Chat via my phone as you cannot get through on their phone number) and was told everything was OK and that it could take until midnight to activate.

March 2nd, still no Internet. Now they say it is a port problem at the exchange and they said an engineer could not get to the exchange due to the weather (Beast from the East) even though they had three weeks in which to prepare the "port". Now I'm told they will contact BT Openreach as it is down to them to carry out the work... "contact us tomorrow for an update"

March 3rd, I get a text message saying the Internet will be activated in 2 working days.

March 5th, still no Internet. I'm told (online again) to wait until midnight yada yada.

March 6th, still no Internet. I'm told (online again) that an engineer is being scheduled and that I'm on the critical list. It'll be fixed in 2 days (yet again)

March 9th, still no Internet. I'm told (shockingly online again) that my activation date is now March 23rd but I'll not be charged any fees until i'm fully online... how gracious says I. What about the work to be done on the 5th and 9th, says I? It's all BT Openreach's fault.

March 9th, cancelled my contract within the 14 day grace period as I don't trust a word they say.

Good luck to you if you try to join Vodafone!

Absolutely rubbish , 8th of February was my original set up date , I received my broadband set box there was no confirmation about an engineer coming he just turned up and still no broadband working, after going through the conversation with the robot on the other side for over an hr I decided to ring them they said keep the broadband box switched on it should go online , nothing happened after 24hrs so I rang them again , they couldn't find my account so finally they found it and told me the old box will have to be cancelled and a new one will arrive and another delay of 10 to 14 days to be online, the box was booked in to come between 12 and 1pm that day , I received an email and a text message to say my broadband and engineer had been cancelled for no apparent reason , the box arrived on time that day, I rang them again they didn't have a clue that the box had been sent out and a engineer booked , they were going to send me another broadband box so I would have had 3 by the time it was set up , I'm still not online it's the worst service I have ever experienced , I've probably spent 5hrs in calls and messaging a robot , absolutely disgusting service and very stressful ....

Avoid this company at all costs! I'm disabled and they've hounded me for money I don't owe. They've spoken to me disgustingly, treated me like dirt...Nedd I say more. All they care about is money and they don't care who they hurt in the process. I was told to take equipment to a shop because i waited nearly 2 weeks for a return label which never arrived. This was just a scheme to get more money. Bunch of inconsiderate morons who prey on the vulnerable and disabled. Stay Away At All Costs.

very poor equipment, very slow speeds, constant wifi dropouts and customer service based in India that will drive you insane( how many times do they have to do security checks!!!!). Takes forever to try and get anything done, but they always do the bare minimum, usually not solving the problem. If you like tv on demand buffering, constant interuptions/breaks during skype and whatsapp calls.....then vodafone is worth considering!

vodafone offered to change my contract from BT to themsevles, taking care of everything without any down time at all, i'd never be left without connection were their exact words.

My business has now been without a telephone or internet connection for over 48 hours and I am nearly 3 hours into my calls with them (they conveniently disconnect) and they still haven't found the problem.

Avid at all costs!! I have lost untold amounts of money because of them.

I signed a contract and one day ahead of my broadband service going live with them I still hadn't received the promised router. I contacted them and was told my contract had been cancelled due to an issue with Openreach transferring my landline (that I don't use or want). To sign up again would be a two week wait. How bad does your customer service have to be for you not to contact the customer and update them!? Fortunately I was able to stop the cancellation with my current ISP and negotiate a longer term contract that was only marginally more. Vodafone you suck!

promised 55mbs , after 5-6 oclock till midnight down to 2-3mbs . customer service is a merry go round of people reading from a script who all say the same thing. far to many layers to actually get to the person you want. spent more time on phone either waiting in ques or being passed to someone else, who would then tell you to do same thing. and if you email complaint if you have not got vodafone number it wont send. so atfer 10 calls ,an engineer visit who said nowt wrong with line . im off to pastures new. dont touch with barge pole. look at vodafone community first.

Had BT broadband for years but the internet package crept up over the years from £25 to £65 which is a ridiculous price.
I chose Vodafone broadband as it seemed the best deal for me. I’ve had it running for a fortnight now and never lost a connection and the speed is on par with BT. I live in a very rural area so was quite worried about the speed but really nothing to worry about. What’s more my neighbour who can’t afford broadband is connected to mine and she can get a connection anywhere in her property so the router also has a really good signal… no booster needed.
So far it’s been excellent but I guess time will tell.

Vodafone Broadband is very unstable always cutting out, struggles to play videos on you tube on the 30mb fibre swapped from BT definitely not as good, cancelled in the 30 day cooling off period worth paying a bit more and getting Virgin I would say.

Transferred a year ago. Looking to move on asap.

My experience has been poor. Customer service inform uouabtheybwill check lines and get back to you in 7 days. They. Ever do and when you call them they have no details of your original issue. Happened more than 1p times. Internet slow, constant drop outs. Drops teams calls around 3pm every day. Unreliable. On plus side coverage when working is good in all rooms.

I found it shockingly difficult to speak to anyone who knows what's in the package I signed up for. Everyone I've spoken to about an item which didn't arrive in the post fobs me off to a different department, then i'm put on hold for 10mins in between each question. eventually they explain I have to wait 10 working days. Just another way to stop me trying to resolve the problem for a while.

    Avoid like the plague!!

This company is nothing but full of time burglars!
Cannot manage the simple task of processing an order from broadband. Cancelled my order for reasons beyond their own explanations. No customer service is available. Refuse to answer simple questions. Data is also not safe as my account details were hacked/changed without my knowledge from those used in the attempted order process.

Additionally they send the router but refuse to give you a returns address. From reading other forums this is standard practice but the next twist is that they then demand £72 for non return of the router that they refuse to tell you how to send back!

If you value your sanity and have better things to do with you time then simply avoid at all costs.

On the other hand if you have nothing better to do than spend time trying to negotiate with people who make reality tv stars look like members of Mensa then be my guest.

Just pray nothing goes wrong with your Voda broadband. Our router failed after 2 weeks (at least that is what they say the problem is). The WiFi keeps dropping out and we only got reception standing right next to the router and then only on some devices. The major problem with Voda is their customer services. To sort out this issue I have called them 4 times. Twice I had to wait for over 1 hour, once 24 minutes and another time about 3 minutes before they answer. An absolute joke.

Purchased Superfast2 broadband from Vodafone due to the promise of 60mb+ speed. It's been 2 years since I became a customer and our speed has never been faster than 32mb. I have brought this up with their customer service but all they could offer me was a 15% discount.

If your looking for 60mb+ service in Southport, Merseyside I can honestly say don't use Vodafone. Try another service. You may have more luck that me.

Do not take up any contract with Vodafone!!!!!!!
I took the superfast 2 deal with prommises 63Mbps. In the first week after installation the speed was rubbish and connection from devices using wi-fi kept dropping. On my first report to them they replied that my promised speed was in my contract letter and it was on 49Mbps . (that is correct but not what I wanted to buy - sneaky letter comes after you make an agreement with them for the service you want to buy and it is advertised).
I complaint on chat and was told that it would take a few days for the new service to settle.
I didn't' complain again until a couple of months after since nothing had improved. After a long online chat with a customer service who guided me through lots of setting that ended up messing everything even more I still didn't have any improvement on speed on wi-fi.
I called to complain that I was paying the superfast 2 and not getting more speed than the superfast 1 deal and was not at all offered the promised refund of the difference stated in their conditions/ advertisement.
On a third complaint they said they did not have any logged complaint , and tried to guide me to fix the issue myself. After a bit of anger they decided to try to solve the problem by somehow giving me two channels for wi-fi. So when I connect my potable devices i have to use one channel and when I connect any standing device to a second channel. This is ridiculous because every time the connection gets cut I have to retype the f+++g long password to reconnect. And when i run a speed test even adding the speed from both chaneels I am not reciving the promised speed.
I was very angry and disappointed with the bad service and even more appalling customer services and wanted to cancel my contract. Still no solution was offered. Instead I was told by the attendant that I can complain to Ofcom if a wish but they will not resolve the problem, they will only record the complain and keep record of it. Cheeky !!!!!
And proceeded to ask me what I wanted to do?
I asked to terminate the contract which still about 10 months to go, they said it will cost me over £150.
Another attempt to solve the issue failed when I reported it for the 6th time while asking for the transcript of my Online chats as proof of complaints to forward to Dispute Resolution or Ofcom and he tried to concince me that the right speed is being provided to the hose, the issue are the wi-fi concections, it must be because of walls..... LOL. I do my speed test with my laptop or mobile sitting half meter away from the router. How can it possibly be a wi-fi signal issue. And if it is what is their solution for me???????????????
DO NOT USE VODAFONE BROADBAND !!!

I am actually quite impressed - so I was on Sky and was having constant dropouts getting worse and worse, with the useless Sky call centre telling me there was no problem, there was just traffic on the line, and no point Openreach coming out.

I switched to Vodafone and was obviously having the same issue, as I suspected it was a line fault. A few minutes on the webchat with Vodafone and they confirmed there was an issue, said they'd send an engineer round if they couldn't fix it virtually. Openreach engineer came round within 3 days, and seems to have found/fixed the issue. I'm impressed with their customer service, haven't tried the call centre but the guys on the webchat are helpful.

Currently having to use my mobile hotspot to work from home rather than using my Vodafone home broadband. Connection quality is absolutely atrocious. Multiple disconnects per hour, lasting from a few seconds to minutes at a time. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.

Tried switching as was a good deal. They then tried charging £60 installation fee even thought advertised for free so false advertisement. Change your advert to reflect real prices

Most reviews tend to be negative, because people need somewhere to vent. I know plenty of people who've had significant problems with Vodafone so they're obviously not perfect....but nor is any other company. However - I thought I'd share my experience of switching from BT standard to Vodafone 38mbs fibre.

Frankly...it was superb. Plenty of communication about what was happening and when. They dealt with BT and all I got from BT was "This is when you're leaving and this is the date of your final bill". On the day; BT stopped....Vodafone didn't start. I phoned Vodafone customer service (based in Glasgow for Broadband) and they were excellent. Ended up needing an engineers visit the following week. So, because i'm with Vodafone on mobile; they gave me 50GB of data to use my phone as a hotspot whilst I waited for the engineer. 4G tethering meant I had excellent broadband the entire time.
Engineer arrived (Openreach) and told me the phone line had been wrongly connected at the exchange (by Openreach). Took him 20 minutes to sort it out. Broadband kicked in within the hour and it's been consistently great since. broadband speed tests show I'm getting everything promised...and all for over £10 a month less than BT standard 17mbs.
So I'm a very happy customer and happy to share the experience.

I feel the need to write a good review after all the concerning reviews written for almost all of the ISPs! I was worried to get a really bad service after doing some research about any of the main ISPs. I recently moved and was with VM before but it wasn't available in the new building so I signed up to Vodafone Superfast 2. Guaranteed speeds promised around 50Mbit down/12Mbit up. When the engineer came he said I could expect around 50-60Mbit and the Router initially synced with around 63. That was 4 weeks ago and meanwhile the router gradually increased the sync speed to 76Mbit down. No reconnects, stable speeds even at peak time. 20Mbit upload. Effective download speed is around 9MB/sec = 72Mbit. Couldn't be happier given that is the current maximum for this type of line. Also the router is quite decent, has good coverage and a lot of configurable options in the web interface.

    Just a bunch of thieves,
I bought an internet dongle on a monthly pay as you go.
As they asked to sign a direct debit, I knew they will play this up and will try to overcharge me. On the day I received my device (29/10/23), I called and explained I need this line just for one month and no more. The advisor told me I need to wait to first direct debit goes throw so I can call and cancel. On the day of direct debit which was 14 days after I received my device (13/11/23), I called to ask for cancelation and they said the earliest they can cancel is 13/12/23 and they wanted to charge me extra 14 days. After nearly 2 hours on the line, I managed to spoke with a manager (Mr Mohammed). He went through my conversation on 29/10/23 and approved to my line to be disconnected on 29/11/23. Today again I received a bill to pay the whole month plus £5 extra which I don’t know why. Using their online chat and explained to the advisor, all I heard was “we are sorry but you need to pay”.

Do not use this company as they find million ways to take your money.
