Should have read the reviews before joining vodafone broadband... 4 days without internet.
Started contacting Vodafone on Monday. So far I have made 13 calls - each on hold for between 40 minutes and 1hr 5 minutes... after 1hour 5 minutes you will get a message to say no ones available and they will cut you off.
Raised 7 complaints- which vodafone day they will get back to you within 48 hours.. but haven’t.
Also they have immediately over charged me by £19.50.. they’re good at that.
So .. I’m paying more for nothing and I can’t do anything about it.. steer clear of Vodafone.
As an aside.. I phoned their sales team to try and sort the issue because I couldn’t reach anyone else.. got through in 3 seconds, but they obviously weren’t interested in the problem because as far as they were concerned the sale was done - they’re happy taking the money!

Worst broadband experience of my life. Avoid like the plague. It may be cheap, but you get what you pay for at the end of the day!! I've been with them 4 months so far and experience constant internet drop outs. Like watching episodes on BBC iPlayer or Netflix? well forget it, unless you're prepared for CONSTANT interruptions. I pay for the 76mbps, and promised/guaranteed at least 44mbps, but generally get no-where near this. Their customer service is also a joke... I cannot wait until the contract ends. Left BT due to their constant upping of prices (to subsidise BT Sport which I never watch), but at least it worked, unlike this garbage.

I just left a 2-year contract for Vodafone 35 Mbps speed on full-fibre (FTTP, Openreach fibre network) broadband. Coming to the end of the 24 months period, Vodafone removed the “discount” from the monthly fee making my 35 Mbps broadband as expensive as current Vodafone 100 Mbps. A message started appearing In my online account inviting me to check the special offers Vodafone had for me, currently a client. The problem was that the link did not work: an error message stated that it was not actually possible to show me those offers right now and I had instead to call a Vodafone agent.
I instead filed a complaint for the website not working and I received a call back from the agent handling my complaint. They could not understand why I wasn’t shown the options within my account and could not fix it. They put me in contact with another agent for the renewal.
Before talking to the agent I checked what FTTP speeds were available from Vodafone: Full Fibre 100, Pro II Full Fibre 500, Pro II Full Fibre 900. Way above my requirements but open to consider 100 Mbps for the right price. The agent supposed to keep me as Vodafone customer didn’t know what the Vodafone Full Fibre options were. While on the line they went and asked but received the wrong information and were then convinced that “Full Fibre 100” was not compatible with my setup. They therefore proposed “Pro II Full Fibre 500”, an extremely expensive overkill for my needs.
I was left with no other option then to switch to another ISP, to a 100 Mbps contact by the way.
I wasn’t unhappy with Vodafone but the incompetence of their sale service made it impossible for me to stay with them. I’m annoyed by the fact that I have now to recycle a perfectly working THG3000, the Wi-Fi router Vodafone supplies, which is a superior device than the router provided by my current ISP.

Wish I'd seen these reviews before switching to Vodaphone. I was getting reliable 45+ with Now TV & despite paying for "guaranteed" 55 with Vodaphone I'm lucky to get 15 when it's not constantly dropping out. Avoid.

I am moving home in 2 days after exchanging. Trying to get through to the home broadband department absolutely disgusting. Was on hold for 35 minutes this afternoon when my phone cut out, the same happened again this evening, trying for a third time where I have been on hold for 48 minutes so far. I have had chats where no one can help and said I have to ring the number which I have been on all occasions! No other way of contacting them. On hold for over 2 hours in total. A complete Joke!

Supposed to be getting around 35 MB, a year ago we were getting 18mb which was enough for our needs. Now dropped off to between 9 and 10MB. Connection will randomly drop off. We are getting a discount every month due to the slow speed, but just waiting for the contract to end so we can leave! Avoid!!

Vodafone router is not compatible with Sonos, clearly they don't mention this in a sales pitch. After 2 days of trying to connect my Sonos I found a long forum stating it's a know problem with the Vodafone hardware and still no fix after a year. Vodafone customer service were fully aware and advised me to leave while in my cooling off period as could be a very long time before resolved.
Wi-fi connection also unstable. They only state they are a wired broadband service and don't support wi-fi. Certainly not up to date with technology.

Broadband speed is low for download and almost nonexistent for upload. Connection also keeps dropping off, we have had an engineer visit a couple of times who has replaced various parts of the line but still having issues.

I placed an order with Vodafone but cancelled it within the 14 day period as unfortunately my house purchase was delayed. I spent an hour on the phone waiting for a service advisor. I was told the order had been cancelled but then 2 days later received a text and email to say the service would go live the following day.
I called up customer services again and had to wait 2 hours to get through to anyone that could help. I was then told it was a system error that caused the notification.
I doubt I will use Vodafone again for broadband when my sale does go through

VF were great when I first moved to them; then came the random 'drop-offs'. Didn't realise price would rise by £5 at end of contract (also coincided with a dramatic reduction in broadband speed).
In all honesty, I think a snail is quicker (just checked speed & it is 4.67mbps) - it's a joke at £34.95 a month.
Currently looking for a new ISP.

Appalling customer service. They do not value customers at all and treat you like you have to be grateful if they provide you with their service which we pay for! I made an appointment to have the line activated. I took a day off and none came to the property. I phoned and, as if nothing had happened, I was told that the appointment had been changed to a different date. Not only they did not inform me of the changes but did not apologise for my lost time and money and did not make any effort to give me an appointment that suited me. I had other similar issues with dongle broadband. Vodafone communication with customer should be rated 0. Expect the line to be cut off without warning, explanations or apology. Because t them the customer is always wrong! Pay someone else to get a proper service. I cancelled all my deals.

The speed of the broadband is great when the line is stable... Since we took out the contract with Vodafone 5 months ago we have had 4-5 dropouts a day and maximum of 3 days with no dropouts! Their support is friendly but repetitive and goes around and around with tests that just don't work but they refuse to try anything new, replace hardware or let me talk to the next level of support. Unless you enjoy spending your time on the phone being told the same thing over and over please avoid for your own sanity!!

Terrible customer service! I ordered an upgrade to Full Fibre broadband back in Dec for a January installation but the engineer never showed, I was not contacted and had to chase to find out what happened.

I have then spent the next 3 months trying to get connected, never being contacted and having to waste hours contacting customer service, each time being told that they had not resolved the issue yet and would contact me with an update. After 3 months of waiting they have now contacted me to say they cannot provide full fibre.

All the time I was being told I had to wait, I was told that I would be compensated £5.25 for each day that I had been delayed but now after 3 months they are cancelling the order and paying no compensation.

Terrible company, useless customer service, the normal broadband is pretty terrible and my devices connections drop out all the time.

I am now cancelling my normal broadband with this provider as you just can't trust this company to deliver what they offer.

    DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER

Been with Vodafone since July after being conned into getting it we was told we would get a minimum of 60mbps but the highest we get is 40 we was told we wouldn't have to pay for instalment but we got charged the internet speed goes up and down all the time with it dropping out completely at least 5-6 times a day the wifi range which we was told is one of the best on the market doesn't work if your more then 10 meters from it and it can only support one or two devices at a time when we phoned up to complain all they said was the guy who sold us the deal shouldn't of said any of that cause it's not true when we asked about leaving they wanted us to pay the full 18 months up front so now we are stuck with this terrible internet

Stay away! After years with Sky Broadband and TV Package, we decided to cancel the TV and look around for another provider! Vodafone had a good deal on at the time so we went with them.
Since then, we have struggled to get any reliable service during peak hours. Devices taking multiple attempts to get connected to the WiFi, Netflix and Amazon Prime refusing to load and when it does and we navigate to our program of choice, it fails to play. Our mobile phones don’t download the images on websites we are browsing etc.
I have no biased for Sky, there bungle became to expensive after some initial offers expired, but we never experienced anything like this! It’s nothing short of appalling!

The customer service is absolutely appalling. To be a Vodafone customer you need hours and hours to spare sat on hold and then when you do finally talk to someone they will promise you all sorts that will not materialise and you will never speak to them again. I would not recommend anyone uses Vodafone.

Switched to Vodafone Broadband in April 2022 and was given an installation date of 18/5. It didn’t happen and I was left without functioning broadband for 23 days. I had to escalate to a formal complaint; a) to find out what was happening and b) get a new installation date. Also c) go into one of their shops and beg someone to tell me what was happening and a back-up because I was desperate. The shop staff were great actually. I rely on broadband as I work from home.

All of this this because I was unable get any response from Vodafone through their customer service portal TOBI about why the service hadn’t been installed or to get a installation new date. They are impossible to communicate with though this portal. I eventually got compensation (I think) and they acknowledged their failings, but it was an awful customer experience and really inconvenient.

I hoped that would be and end to it - the broadband quality is very good - but I got a nasty surprise when my first bill arrived.

When I signed up for their broadband pro service in April it was because they were offering an attractive deal and I’d read positive things about it. My first bill this month showed I’d be paying almost twice the amount I’d agreed with them on the sales call.

I contacted their billing team through their TOBI webchat portal. I don’t know why I bothered. It is the worst customer service portal ever and achieves nothing. Took well over an hour of being passed around to advisers who had no idea, resulting in me feeling enraged and none the wiser, but evidently paying lot more than I thought I would be.

So I used the formal complaint route over email again. They responded quickly and I now have what I think is a satisfactory resolution, but there’s always a plot twist with Vodafone, so I’m still wary. They agreed to give me a fair price, but I’m furious that I had to bargain really hard to get it after I had taken out the original contract in good faith based on a price promotion they had offered me.

My conclusion is that Vodafone are fundamentally dishonest and an incompetent telecoms provider. They promote an attractive offer to you, and when you take it up, thinking it’s fixed for the length of the contract, they can decide without informing you, that the offer is no longer available, as it’s time bound. Even when it’s their fault that your broadband wasn’t installed when they said it would be due to their own serial incompetence. They don’t confirm anything about the price in writing either, something I should have picked up. It seems they can also withdraw an offer whenever they feel like - in any circumstances - so beware.

They acknowledged all of this, and the customer complaints handler who rang me was helpful, but they always are, and nothing ever changes. Now I think about it, I’m not even sure I’ve received the compensation for the first complaint. So many emails and confusion. I’ve lost track.

It’s astonishing that they are getting away with this. Ofcom really do need to step up.

The Guardian website 28/7 has an article by the journalist George Monbiot describing his experience of trying to cancel his mother’s mobile phone contract after she died. It’s a different part of the company but still the same appalling customer care. Many people have commented under the article about their experiences with Vodafone. They are an absolute disgrace. Do yourself a massive favour, avoid Vodafone. When my contracts end I will stop my custom. A long way to go but already in my diary.

signed up for superfast 1 but was signed up for superfast 2 when it all came through the sales guy must get more bonus i guess
so i thought i was going to get a faster service so i decided to live with it
after 4 mnths of speed issues and not even to be able to deliver their lowest guaranteed speed and regular calls to customer service i decided enough is enough
nothing has been fixed like they say they will do if there is an issue
i have now cancelled my contract
the minimum speed i should have got was 55 got 21 no where near what i was promised
the service didnt drop out too often
my advice is stick with what you know
the thing is they are all meant to use the same lines so how one can give slower speeds compared to your previous supplier i do not know
the only thing that changed was my supplier and when i did it was terrible
search for reviews for your new supplier on google before you sign up

NEW JOINERS BEWARE (AVOID AT ALL COSTS): After using Vodafone broadband for over a year now, I found that my internet regularly dropped to around 7 Mbps (made video calls painful and voice calls difficult) and sometimes as low as 0.12 Mbps (completely unusable) with the contract stating average speeds of 35 Mbps. After numerous exchanges with the technical team at Vodafone (who seemed like they didn't really care and gave cookie-cutter responses) I decided that by upgrading my internet may solve my problem. I contacted the Vodafone sales team (who was equally stand-offish) asking for an upgrade only to be told that I would be tied down with yet ANOTHER 24 month contract, THEY EVEN SUGGESTED I LEAVE AND PAY THE LEAVING FEE TO EXIT MY CURRENT CONTRACT!! I have never experienced such poor customer service in my entire life, let alone by such a large company.

I've switched to Vodafone from a Sky almost a month ago.

From day one speeds dropped to 1/3 of a Sky speed, support was fairly easy to reach, but haven't proposed any help. After 10 working days (as they said that I have to wait till line will "stabilise") they organised BT OpenReach to come and check the line.

Unfortunately long story short, almost month later I end up without a broadband connection, without information when broadband will start working again.

For some reason Sky has worked > 2 years on a same line (with faulty line ?) and was fine, since Vodafone took over speed degraded and then dropped completely.

    Useless and extremely annoying.

    Avoid like plague !

I’d give 0 stars if I could. NEVER USE VODAFONE BROADBAND!!! Absolutely horrible, regret switching to them and now in a contract that I can’t get out of unless I pay £300+ !! Internet doesn’t even go into the other rooms at all. Bought 500mbps broadband and I don’t even get 90! Called and complained multiple times , given many tips which were nothing but USELESS. Was told by them to get a tp link to help with connection. Bought that out of my own pocket for them to now say the internet is bad because of the tp link! Horrible and Useless service.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO DEAL WITH. I didn't think one company could be as bad as Currys Pc World, but Vodafone has topped it. I am under contract with them with mobile and broadband. Cannot wait to be free of them.
Switched from BT, stupidly. The speeds promised are absolute rubbish, which makes no sense because in my area VF are using BT lines.
We had an engineer come out, nothing, hours on calls to "tech support" nothing. I am at my wits end with this company. AVOID.

I have been in really pain with talktalk for a year and a half. At the end of my contract I told talktalk I am leaving and they asked me what company are you transferring for. I told them Vodafone and I still remember when the agent told me vodafone is a beginner in the field of broadband and since you are using the same cable to your home you will still suffer from the bad speed. I said whatever. Today I want to say it was a relief that I moved to Vodafone because I never had any problems with the connection and they really have a better customer service than talktalk

I upgraded to fibre on January 10th2024, the openreach engineer assured me it will be up and running by midnight that day. It never worked. I spent hours yes hours to the Vodafone call centre (which is in Egypt now) who passed me from department to department with every excuse you can imagine. After two weeks of false promises and lies I cancelled my contract. I cannot claim compensation due to me cancelling my contract, if I ran over my two week cooling off period I would have been charged £113.00. Terrible service, no one seems to care. My mobile phone contract ends in March and guess what, yep I’m moving that too. Avoid Vodafone broadband like the plague worst service ever.

Switched from sky, I feel like I have done great mistake, never had a problem with sky broadband, Vodafone broadband is crap, dropped internet every 2 to 3 hours interval and even they can’t fixed it, so bad experience with with Vodafone I don’t recommend to people to join with Vodafone broadband.

Rubbish do not even think about getting these in. Organised setup for 8-9-17, its not 13th and still no internet. They had no problem cancelling my old ISP but getting this one working is not happening. After being on hold for hours (no joking) they try and fob you off with, its Openreach not us. Rang again 2 hours to be told my date has been changed to the 25th, well thanks for updating me on this and you can shove that date. Then was told the 13th is a go and I am so lucky!!! Not really when I should be surfing with a 50Mbps download right now but currently getting 0. I read the bad reviews and still gave them a chance and i'm sure tomorrow when its not working i'll be cancelling and trying Plusnet

Guaranteed broadband speed is just on paper but I've never experienced any close to guaranteed speed.
Reliability is far from minimum expectation as well.
When I talk to Vodafone they doing their own broadband speed test and saying that I'm in guaranteed speed limit when my broadband speed test shows 1/10 of guaranteed speed.
    Avoid, avoid, avoid.......

Awful, we made the move from Sky and have regretted it since. Then phone line lost dialing tone 3 months ago, reported it, still waiting for action, now broadband has dropped speed by 75%...but the Vodafone app says it's full 40mbps, independent app says 7mbps, can't load half the websites and resort to mobile data constantly. I want to leave but can't get through to customer services! 3 hour wait each time...AVOID

At the start of my order, Vodafone missed the connection date by almost 3 months blaming our exchange and said it needed work done on it. Considering I had BT Infinity for years before, I wondered what was wrong; especially as my neighbours, who have BT and Sky had no such problems.
Not a great start, but Vodafone was very helpful and provided us with free mobile data during that time.

When finally up and running, I noticed the speed was getting slower as time went on.
It started off at 69mbps slowly going to 55mbps, which I did not mind because it was enough for our usage.
When with BT I averaged 74.6 and only had the odd disconnection.

Recently disconnects started happening, and huge amounts of FEC and some CRC errors. I phoned Vodafone and they agreed an issue was there and arranged for a BT engineer to call out saying I had a RAIN issue. The engineer called out, said it was not RAIN, and proceeded to change my master socket faceplate and fixed some loose wires that he noticed were loose at the cabinet.
The issue still wasn't fixed, leading to another engineer visit to do a lift and shift at the exchange and some more tinkering with the wires coming into the house.

I left it for a few days, but things are the same. I am left with a connection that has disconnected 3 times yesterday and 14hrs connected today that I had to reset manually because the connection went stale. I phoned Vodafone support who insisted that no issue is present and took me through the range of useless tier 1 support stuff that was never going to check things. In the end, the lady agreed to raise another ticket with second line support who were to ring me back within 24 hours. Over 24 hours have now passed, and no return call.

The Router, as you would expect, is not great - poor wifi that cant cover my terrace house and lacking management features like QoS.

My impression of Vodafone is that there is lower speed than BT, never mind the shaky start, and now there is the issue of the unresolved fault that I feel Vodafone has washed their hands of.

I would never recommend Vodafone Broadband to anyone and even if they fix my issue tomorrow and it stayed fully working, I will still be leaving as soon as my contract ends.

These are my own opinions based on my personal experience.

I’ll do the positive bit first, compared to Virgin, who I was previously with, their broadband is reliable and fast. For 12 months it was perfect. It has dropped once and been a bit erratic occasionally, but nothing so serious where I needed to contact them. Just as well because now for the negative.

Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever encountered. They are also devious and dishonest. They left me without broadband for a month when I switched to them because they had a great deal (I’m a mobile customer) and I actually had to go to a shop and demand help because that useless chatbot TOBI is a waste of time and their call centre staff are incompetent. One idiot told
me the man was outside my house working on my full fibre installation (!) this was after they failed to show on the appointed date. Then they said that because my broadband hadn’t been installed during the deal offer I would be paying over twice as much as I thought I would. That wasn’t my fault and I signed up when the deal was still on. I resolved that after a lot of hassle, but then two months later they tried to double the amount again blaming someone for giving me the wrong information. I went as high as I could to resolve that one, succeeded but that was it for me. I vowed that when my contract ends, which is does next month, I will leave. Calling another provider tomorrow. I dread contacting them to give notice, but I’ll do it.

My advice, don’t even think about it. There are better ISPs out there. Vodafone do not deserve the custom.

My dealings with Vodafone have been nothing but disastrous. In the end I had to cancel my account before they even installed my Broadband because it was delayed for so long with no sign of any hope of any service at all. Absolutely DO NOT use Vodafone for your Broadband.

Moved house on the 6th January 2023, Vodafone confirmed an activation date of 12th January, this was delayed and delayed.. eventually it was confirmed for the 24th January and the BT engineer visited the property, did what he needed to do and all that was left was Vodafone to activate the line.. nothing for days, chased them and it was clear there was a fault with the router, promised an engineer would visit within 24 hours, nothing!! I complained on the 4th February and cancelled that day with them, went with Sky instead and the process was so smooth and I have broadband. Honestly the stress and upset Vodafone caused is unbelievable, I won’t even use them again.
