Signed up for 100mb/s download speed and pay a fairly reasonable price for it. That is, if the wifi was anything like the 60mb/s guarantee. Every time I have run a speed test in the month since I got it, the speed has been more like 10mb/s and that's without the constant cutouts

I have been with TalkTalk so long it used to be Tiscali. I am very satisfied with the service I get from them. The new chat on customer support may be slow to respond but you get through to someone almost instantly.

Speeds have usually been above what they say. I pay for 76Mbps but usually get around 79 to 80.

The only problem I have ever had was the Router started to play up after about 2 years. It kept disconnecting or going very slow. so I bought a new one.

Moving home was a perfect experience too. you tell them when you want to cancel at your old address and when you want it to start at the new one.

The engineer came round and connected a socket and tested the line and was gone in about 15 mins. Then a couple of hours later everything was up and running. Speed was up and down for a couple of days but no problems since then.

I would definitely consider buying your own router for the VDSL as a good one from TP-Link has many more useful features.

Again talk talk webmail down, not for a few minutes but for hours, been with tiscali and talk talk for a few years now, service just keeps getting worse. Lost my services again not so long ago for several days, got£15 refund after a lot of complaining. This company is appalling, every issue gets the same via India service, same questions time and time again. I've got to change my service provider soon, really had enough.

TalkTalk Business left me with no phone or broadband during my busiest period. I asked them to set me up with a temporary call divert to stop me from loosing business and they couldn’t even get that right. They eventually got it working after two weeks and when I put in a complaint the offer I got was this” Dear Robert,Thanks for your reply.
I would be happy to credit 2 weeks loss of service which would be £18.30.
Please let me know if you are happy for me to apply the credit and I will apply immediately before closure.”

Do not deal with TalkTalk Business they are an absolute joke!

Had another issue with talktalk again this week. Giving me a customer service charge for a late payment when I actually paid before the deadline. The customer service agent who I spoke with regarding this issue even tried to convince me that a £5 reduction on the service charge was a gesture of good will. The customer service agents on call can't even understand English and have no interest in resolving situations. It's not the first time this has happened and I cant wait for my contract to end and be rid of this broadband company for good.

I am writing this review up stairs in my bedroom using my 4G data on my phone as my talk talk router cannot seem to find enough power to send a signal up thirteen steps.
Over the last week my service has dropped out four times, when I tried to resolve the situation I was told that if an engineer has to come into my property to see if the problem is there I would be charged… charged for fixing a problem caused by talk talk and their unreliable internet.
This was at 2pm on the 23/06/22, the engineer was meant to come out on the 24/06/22 between 1pm and 6pm, when I told talk talk no one would be in the house till after half past three they said they couldn’t guarantee a time and that if someone turned up and I wasn’t in I would be charged £65.
So I decided to cancel the engineer, to which I was told that I had now past “the point of no return” this is when openreach have been booked. Despite me booking the engineer at around 3pm I was told that you have to cancel before 12pm at least one day before your appointment… can anyone tell me how I’m supposed to do that when the booking was made at 3pm the day before the engineer was due to come out?
Subsequently as I had missed “the point of no return” I would now get charged £65 for cancelling the engineer because I didn’t have the ability to time travel back to 12pm on the 23rd to avoid the “point of no return”.
I was then told, after some discussion that a note would be put on my account to say that I attempted to cancel the engineer, and that when the £65 showed up on my bill I had to phone back to see if I could get the £65 removed from my bill, something the talk talk agent openly admitted would probably not work.
By this point it was nearly 5:30pm I was no closer to getting my shoddy internet connection fixed and was potentially looking to get a £65 fine for my inconvenience.
I asked to make a formal complaint and was told over the phone, by text and email that someone from complaints would call me the following day between 4pm and 6pm… I am still awaiting the call.
These texts and emails were then followed up with another set to say “we can see that an engineer has been out to you and has fixed the problem, however you may experience some drop out in your connection as the signal adjusts, we are monitoring it”. Honestly talk talk this felt like you were attempting to cover your backs in case I contacted you again to say my internet had dropped out… “oh but Mr Davis an engineer has been out and we informed you this might happen”.
Do engineers normally get to you ten minutes after speaking to talk talk the day before they were supposed to? If so they need a medal for efficiency.
Sorry to ramble on but long story short, DO NOT use talk talk, their service is unreliable and when you do try to fix it it will some how become your problem that you will have to pay for and god forbid you should reach the dreaded “point of no return” that you’re not informed about until after booking an engineer

No stars, in fact a black hole! 18 months of on going faulty broadband, spoke more with their call center over the last eighteen months than with my mates. I am hoping this latest venture into faulty land will allow me to leave them without being penalised for cancelling the service I haven't had. Awfull company .

I have had appalling service since joining talk talk after months of bad broadband they promised me fibre would be better I joined up for fibre and same problems. They don't want to send of engineers without requesting £65.00 charge and I have been very polite but I'm at the end of my patience as the customer service people have the same answers to all your problems. I know they are very sorry for my problems but nobody fixes it at the time. Then every time you get through on the phone you have to repeat same phone line checks and the same questions are asked. Very bad business practice and the customer is always at fault unbelieveable.

Guaranteed 41mbps; never hit it once. Just did a speed test on here and was told I could get faster speeds...by paying for the next tier of broadband up... You know, that same plan that I've been paying for for A YEAR already and still not getting. Been trying to leave for three months now and they refuse to let me out of the contract, saying they required 30 days notice! So it's no wonder their internet speeds are a freaking lie; they can't do simple maths. So you might think they're offering a great deal, but they just lie through their teeth on what speed you'll get, effectively making you pay MUCH MORE for a crappier service. No deal TalkTalk can come up with will make it worth dealing with their $!@$^"&

Paid for the fastest speed. Constantly dropping out. I was promised 100+ mbps and whenever I did a speed test it was typically < 3mbps although would occasionally jump to around 30 (that’s if it was even working). At one point the power supply for the box decided to fail. Customer service quality was heavily dependant upon who answered the phone. More than once I contacted and was hung up on for no apparent reason (it was not call failed, but call ended). This was after being polite and friendly so it wasn’t like I was doing a Karen on them. I ended up having to pay out for my own power supply. I strongly recommend you avoid talk talk. Lesson learnt, I will not be purchasing broadband from them again.

TalkTalk informed by email on 4th August 2022 that FullFibre Cable would be installed on 19th August. I immediately placed a phone order for their Fibre900 package. The installation went fine, but the link did not switch on. After 6 hours of calls to TalkTalk, it was finally switched on. However, it was to my existing Fibre65 package. Over the next 6 days, I phoned and used their online chatline to get this fixed. Twice, I was told that it'd be done within 24 hours. Lies. Finally, on day 5, I was told that they had never received the order - so how could anyone promise that the requested package would arrive within 24 hours? More lies. I tried to put in a new order. TalkTalk told me that I, the customer, had to contact City Fibre and get the RFS Code changed from 4 to 1 or 2 to enable the service. City Fibre assured me that it was TalkTalk's Tech Support people who had to request this of them. Tech Support claimed not to have the power or knowledge to do so. I'm currently on the chatline waiting for the FullFibre section to reply. I'm seriously contemplating action in the Small Claims Court. TalkTalk are liars, incompetents, and don't give a damn about their customers. DON'T SIGN UP WITH THEM!!!

We got the 18 month deal for tvb/b telephone on three seperate times the engineer advised me that i needed to get my tv aerial checked which i did on friday and the outcome was confirmed at a cost of £98 that there was nothing wrong with tv signal. Talk Talk provided me on second engineers visit with a 4g filter which was actually pulling down my tv signal My tv aerial guy provided me with an up to date filter BUT i have found out it is not 4g,tvsignal NO it is the box which is faulty When i spoke to talk talk on two occasions they refused to compensate me in anyway they siad it was because the tv was FREE in my deal so why was my bill listed for telephone broadband and tv which i was paying on direct debit TERRIBLE SERVICE I HAVE CANCELLED MY DIRECT DEBIT AN DO NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH RUBBISH TALK TALK SO BEWARE IN FUTURE ABOUT THE SLAP HAPPY SERVICE

Disgusted and appalled with this company ! Got talked into upgrade to fibre after upteen faults , openreach engineer turned up to install.
When he left I noticed my card reader was not working in my shop , (the master socket for broadband and phone is in the staffroom )the engineer had called the cable to the card reader in the shop thus unabeling us to except card payments ...
Talktalk after numerous noncence phone calls just asking for an engineer to come out and fix what he broke ?? Your answer was .. and I quote ... " THATS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN " with a smug attitude !! Wtf
If I can't take card payments without embarrassingly asking customers into the staffroom as opposed too the till ( in the shop ) err talk talk err business ? .. think I will be seeking action .. loss of earnings etc....

I have Talk Talk as an email provider, by default. I started out as a Gateway customer, then that was taken over by Tiscali, which is now with Talk Talk.
I find their service for email appalling, compared to any othe email provider. Half of the time I cannot get into their site, either because it is busy or my log on details bounce back as not valid ( yet this is picked up automatically by my system). And even when it is accepted I often get timed out as their site does not open up, so I have to go back again through the log on details.
And quite often, it will not even let me open my inbox or let me open and read an email.
It such an unreliable and unacceptably slow service. I am only grateful I have other emails with providers that are far more robust or never have these problems. These problems are unique for Talk Talk.

I received bill for phone number which I'm not own since 15/03/2017. I'm trying to find out about it, but not able, because online chat can't check my details, over the phone can not pass further where need to type in phone number, they says don't understand. To get in touch with manager no chance, agents online don't now how. Who can help, three days now trying to sort out bill but no luck. Looks like chat agents don't understand English. Worst service ever had. Stay away from company without any management.

They cheated on me since the very beginning providing wrong information, and never mitigating for *ANY* of their clear mistakes. They are responsible and reliable as a 5 years old lad.

The customer service looks fast and kind only when they are getting money from you; it becomes insanely slow and harsh when they realise you are not providing money but need real help.

You may end to pay MUCH more that you think for having a poor connection and blank customer service. That's a silly expensive joke, I suffered for the slowest fibre at the price of the fastest.

Absolutely disgraceful service. Customer service was so bad from beginbing to end. Didn't want the essentials box anymore (which was free to start with) they tried to charge me £100. Then they said they'd wave the fee if I posted the box back. Done that, heard nothing for about 4 months then suddenly I contact them to sort an issue and they tell me they 'never received it' highly convenient. They are now trying to charge me nearly £300 for a breakage fee after telling me when I signed up that the amount I would have to pay was no where near that. I would recommend that no one ever use talk talk. They simply want to take your money and it isn't just me. Couple of people I know have experience bad customer service and money grabbing. NEVER USE TALK TALK

A record - download speed this afternoon 30kbps.
Back to the heady days of the world wide wait!
And customer support by phone or by chat an absolute masterpiece - in prevarication. Appalling too kind a word to describe them. I’ve switched, but the words frying pan and fire run round my head.

called TalkTalk in May 2020 to report a faulty wall socket their team in Manilla who I could barley understand told me it was up to me to contact BT and pay for replacement /repair, called again still in May and they promised me a call back in 24 hrs from a manager now we are in November and still nothing.last time I spoke to them they put the phone down on me. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I originally signed up with the Freedom-to-Surf, ISP but they were absorbed by Talk Talk.
Some months ago, I started to get problems with losing sync on my ADSL modem, and this happened nearly everytime I picked the phone up. Talk Talk customer services said the line was absolutely fine, and it was 85% probable that the problem was with my equipment or home wiring. After many calls getting nowhere, I eventually replaced my modem/router and microfilter at significant expense. No change. Eventually they sent an Openreach engineer who confirmed it was wiring problems on the BT side of the Master Socket. After the BT engineer went away the sync problem was solved BUT I was back to dial-up speeds. More calls to customer services, and they said it would settle down in a couple of days. It didn't. More calls, and the equipment at the exchange was "manually reset". Since then I get 6Mb/s during the day, but in the evening the download speed falls off a cliff, and I cannot even stream audio without constant buffering problems. The download speed frequently falls as low as 0.5Mb/s.
Many more calls to customer services. First they blamed BT, then they blamed the fact that it was an old Freedom-to-Surf account and promised to move me to a hopefully more reliable account with 7 working days, and I would be sent new login details and password. After two weeks nothing had happened, except the service had deteriorated further, so I called customer services again, and a very brusque agent told me nothing had happened and nothing would happen unless I personally applied for a different account through their sales team, as what I had been told previously was not part of their business process. He did not seem to grasp the fact that their broadband service was faulty and it was their responsibility to sort it out! At that point I asked for my MAC code. This company are a complete shower. In my experience their attitude to customers is, quite honestly, utterly shocking.

Horrible experience with customer service. Would avoid at all costs.

Have been told that my connection would be live on the 13th, than on the 14th they said they need 5 more hours, that became 24 and then 48.

When that passed they booked a visit after a one hour call.

The guy did not called to confirm the visit and When i called to confirm they informed that there was no visit booked.

I requested to cancel the service as they said that there was no visit, and the guy comes.

They are not able to even check their own information.

It's a shame you cant put no stars the most horrific company I have ever dealt with the customer services called me a liar when I said the services didnt work she then tried to charge me £350 to disconnect my services. BEWARE a scam company once your out of your 28 days your services wont work and they don't care. AVOID TALKTALK!!!

Possibly the worst internet provider! We got promised 17mbps but we only get 0.7mbps and that’s on a good day! I have constantly contacted them regarding their low speeds but they’re absolutely useless! Nothing ever improves if anything it gets worse. They always try to fob you off and tell you that they will call back which they never do! I highly recommend to never ever go with TalkTalk.

Moved from Plusnet to TT and that was the end of my online gaming, outrageous lag, previously not had an issue with Plusnet with 71mbps and zero lag, with TT we barely get 60mbps, instead of sorting the issue they offered us to move ISP without penalty. Very poor customer service avoid like the plague
