Wow. I can not comment on sky's broadband speed as I'm yet to experience that joy but I will say save yourself the headache save yourself the time most providers are run through the same bloody line so just go with one that provides actual customer, just call the provider you want on a number you find on the internet not the one they give to sale you the product and see if it is possibly to be put through to a human. Let me save you time with sky it is not oh unless you want to message them through Facebook messenger and than repeat yourself a 1000 times and be sent emojis like your talking to your girlfriends and not a business. You've been warned.

Pure waste of time i have been with sky now over 11 years, got the new sky hub broadband and never had anything but issues, today i rang them to be told the advisor would call me back in 10/15 mins..!! hour later i ring them there closed.
I pay easy £120 every month and ends up costing me more when everyone in the house runs out of data because the service i pay sky for does not work..!!! It’s a pure joke, i then get a text to say new router that i ordered is on its way? i didn’t order anything i’m waiting on a call back..!!! Fair to say i’ll be leaving sky tomorrow.

Let's begin by moaning about the overall broadband connection. let me start by saying that it I said a miracle that I am able to access this website online. Wizardry I tell you. We have calculated that the broadband speed is running at around 0.75 thingys which compared to the 30-40 thingys that are neighbours and close friends are getting, it doesn't sound all that marvellous. We have been having problems with our WiFi connection since May 2017. Since then it has been off and on constantly. We contact the useless people who live in the Sky call centre and ask them for help. It seems that all they are capable of doing is sending round an engineer who arrives around one week later. I genuinely believe that every single Sky engineer has visited our house. It gets worse.
I can tell you exactly what the engineers do:
First they identify the router box and wiggle a few cables around. Then they try turning it off and then turning it back on. Then they declare that they have done everything within their capability and call for a BT Openreach engineer who tracks it back down the cable to the big green box at the end of the road. He then declares that it isn't his job and that the Sky engineers should be able to fix it as it isn't within the household. Then a Sky engineer comes round and it all happens again.
Our grief doesn't end there. The people who are on the other end of the phone are frankly rude and disrespectful. All they do is ensure that they are not at fault. As a matter of fact, one of the people told us that we had to go out to a pub to use the Sky Hub that they put there. WHAT?! We pay nearly £80 a month for Sky services and get nothing in return. To quote my nan, Sky can shove their services up their jumper.

After 2 years with Sky I moved to another provider. The internet was not any better than the cheaper providers'. Connection usually dropped at 8pm and took 5-10min to recover, speed was very slow, streaming series (Netflix, Amazon, BBC) was never good quality, often stopping for loading.
Moved to another provider, all confirmed and set 2 weeks before last payment. It didn't stop Sky to prepare the bill for next month and they even took the money from my account 2 weeks after I left them. I called them straight away, they promised a refund but said that it could not be processed until the 12th May (another 2 weeks later). Of course the refund never went through so I waited for the day when they normally take the monthly payment. That day also passed and today they sent an email saying that they owe me almost £40 which will be transferred to my account in the next 10 days. Overall they took my money and failed to give it back for two months. Disgusting, they never even apologized.

By far the worst broadband i have ever had. Drops out once every 5mins cant handle more than 1 device, have to be in the same room as the router, support consists of none technical people, clueless about broadband telling you to restart your router. Best thing about sky is theres a 30 day cancelation period which i took full advantage of. Stay well clear of sky broadband!

Broadband is an absolute joke. We have been having issues with it for 4 months now. They have sent out engineers 3 times but still can't figure out what the problem is. We have replaced the hub with the new one thinking the old one had a problem. Every time we are having to phone them to reset it over there and it works for few days and it's completely off again. Worst broadband ever!!!!

Horrendous company! My tv, broadband and phone line deal ended and the price doubled. I called to discuss a new deal and there wasn’t much they could offer. So I terminated the contract. I was then sent a letter with a great deal. I agreed to the deal online and then I got an email through after with an increased price! I challenged it, and after loads of calls and been passed around I was told they wouldn’t honour the deal! I should be happy as the increased price was still a great deal?! I’ve never dealt with such incompetent and morally bankrupt people!!

The worst internet and service I ever experienced. When we moved in we applied for internet and tv. Noone came to set up tv and after 3 months when tv already was canceled even not tried, they suddenly say that we owe them for tv. Now internet is not working few days even if it's paid. We tried to reconnect and reach for their help. But their chat is unbelievable. They disappear in the middle of the conversation. Better to chose something else, because even when internet was working, it was unstable, very slow. We are only two users. Very disappointing.

My internet was dropping a couple of times a day. The tech support guys tried to help, but eventually said there was nothing they could do and that a couple of dropouts a day was normal and caused by "active line management". Luckily I'm out of contract so I'm moving to another provider, and am actually going to save money.

Disability discrimination rife at Sky!! I am fighting for my life, on chemo like treatment & have been lied to, ripped off & let down so badly by Sky. The prepaid MasterCard £50 is a con, twice I never got sent it & then told it was too late, as deadline ended! I applied in time.
24 hour call back for a Customer Service manager = NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I say that as a professional who hired & fired.
Sky have cost me a fortune. They lied from the start & said my line had been connected & there was a fault with my phone socket (I had to pay someone to change the phone socket). There still was no connection for 6 wks! Then they sent an engineer out & it had NEVER been connected!
From start to finish the worst experience ever & very unprofessional. The CEO needs removing, as he obviously does not care, after reading these reviews.

Come on Sky, sort your Customer Service out!! Please!
I’m debating whether to just pay £150 to get out the contract. As the stress affects my ill health.

Absolute joke is the only way to describe it, DO NOT under any circumstances USE SKY AS A BROADBAND SERVER. I'm a university student who needs wifi connection for research and assignments, the Sky broadband is so unreliable its pathetic. My laptop continually disconnects from the wifi during internet use and despite the fact that Sky have visited the house countless times to try and resolve this ongoing issue (which gives us the usage we expect for around a week after the broadband has been 'fixed') then the problem continues to occur on a regular basis. we are switching from Sky and would advise anyone else to do the same!

Took them over three weeks to activate the line - they were 1 week late, without any explanation. Did not let us know why it was taking so long or when it would be activated - even calling did not change a thing. Would definitely avoid and try an other provider next time.

Such a waste. Terrible. Switched from normal sky broadband to max fibre six months ago and never had a day of good internet since then. Discussed the problem with sky several times and each time all they did was to say their tests show no problems. I have pictures of the router admin page that shows the broadband is disconnected but they come up with useless solutions like move the router away from this or that. Useless.

After 3 years a couple of weeks ago I decided to cancel my account. Broadband speed had been always a problem and prices for TV packages are normally expensive if you want to get a few worthwhile channels. But the worst thing ever is the costumer service; while being a costumer they treat you as everything is fine, there’s a solution for every need. Today I called them and the lady shouted at me and interrupted me few times. Her answers completely changed. A couple of timed she said things like you have to...
Even worst is their treatment to the environment; I said I want to send back the equipment and they said it is mine and so it’s my problem now...do they never heard the expression from cradle to grave? At the end of the day,I’m still don’t know what to do...A really shame!

The worse broadband I have ever experienced. My neighbours get around 30-50mbps with other competitors whereas we are on .5mbps most of the time and will be lucky to get above 1.
The connection drops for around 1 min every 10-20 mins and I can't even stream videos at low quality. Same thing happens with phone calls after about 30 mins. Customer service is shocking (the woman on the phone bought my wife to tears) and the overworked engineers they send out (late) don't know anything as they are used to setting up sky boxes and dishes... (the engineers told us this themselves) they will also cancel appointments without notice so you take a day off work and wait around for nothing. I have now cancelled and BT have set us up with a guaranteed 50mbps connection with great customer service. I implore you to NEVER CHOOSE SKY FOR PHONE OR BROADBAND I KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. NEVER HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE WITH A COMPANY.

I am incredibly disappointed with this service. I could not recommend it less. Firstly, the earliest instalment date was 2 weeks on from when I booked the wifi. This was frustrating but I accepted this and joined the queue. I would recommend a better service as this is very off-putting to customers.

Having waited for two weeks with no wifi, at some extra costs:
    - A man to sit in out flat for the day of the 23rd, as someone has to let the engineer in.
    - All three of us have had to extend our 3G packages on out phones bills
    - And one of us, who should be working from home, has had to pay to work elsewhere.

The engineer arrived on time, thank you. However, he was unable to fix the wifi - he did not complete his job. I was never rung by anyone, no one told me what was happening. They just left the flat. Since then I have had no communication other than three texts delaying the instalment by another 10 days.

There is still no wifi, one flatmate is still paying to work elsewhere, our phone bills are almost double what I should be paying, and we will have to pay for someone to fit in our flat yet again.

I would like someone to be in contact with me as soon as possible. This service is shocking. How are you going to compensate for this?

Everything is terrible. Fibre broadband speed never got above 5Mbps (five) always noise on phone line. Customer service are rude, arrogant and it’s never their fault. When I left them I got letters in for addresses in England (never lived in England) demanding I pay someone else’s bill. Would never ever recommend them to anyone. I would go without if I had the choice of sky tv or nothing.

A bad, time wasting and impoverishing experience. On moving house my account was not cancelled as requested. Instead I was told there was no need to cancel the broadband as I took the rooter with me. I was told the telephone line would be blocked. That left the TV for which I have continued to receive regular bills and demands.I have dealt with these on a monthly basis by speaking to helpful people who apologise and say it will all be sorted out,but then do nothing. I have a second Sky account which I am now cancelling as a result. I warned that I would do this but the helpful people appear not to care. Cancellation procedures with Sky are chaotic.
    Infuriating experience to be avoided.

We have been with Sky for less than 12 months and there is not one aspect of the service that has been okay. The installation was terrible, damage to our property and the engineer dumped the Sky box and router in their boxes on the floor and didn't set anything up.

The broadband has been the worst. You struggle to speak to anyone and when you do they tell you there is nothing wrong and basically that you are lying. The signal drops out all of the time and when it is working it's very very slow.

I asked to cancel but we are stuck for 18 months! I said okay but put a flag on the account so that it doesn't auto-renew and they refused.

I would strongly urge anyone to go elsewhere as the service you will receive for the expensive monthly payments will make you wish you had chosen Virgin.

    Awful company.

Awful. I agreed to an upgrade after trying to cancel. Nothing was as agreed. No Sky Q ultra HD no HD at all. No replacement dish. Cost would have gone up by £20 a month a few weeks into an 18 month contract. Would not honour the agreement pay termination fees with BT. PRINT all account information every time you look as it changes all the time even cutting you off form the account so they can change it. Hours of my life wasted trying to sort things out. Account now show as being charged £10 a month out of contract fees + £3 for Mcfree (never asked for it or used it ) even though TV is no longer in contract and I have no longer got Sky broadband (which was cancelled within the cooling off period). The sky Q box provided got so hot it was very pain full to touch so turned it off as a fire risk. The Sky broadband hub could not even reach a printer 8ft (no other hub has this problem) away in clear line of site and only has 2 ethernet ports. Wireless data transfer is so slow it was like going back to the 90s it would have taken days to download a game I have high speed fibre so not the line. They agreed refunds when no service is available, deduct the amount agreed then add it back on. Promise to call back and never do, useless and rude. The only option left to me at this point is contact a solicitor.

A complete waste of time! I would highly recommend virgin!
It’s customer service is terrible, it’s speed is alright when they’re actually available, and the reliability is outrageous!
Sky broadband is a complete waste of money and would not recommend! If you do have sky then my heart goes out for you <3

I have been with Sky for years. Broadband gets worse and worse. Takes hours to download a film. Their answer to upgrade! No attempt to resolve the issue.

I transferred to sky after using virgin for 10 years. What a mistake! The Internet was slow, and didn't work at all on my Amazon Fire. I joined up when there was an offer for £15 a month for phone and Internet. I paid £15 one month and then all sorts of amounts came out of my account. I called the call centre to query, and god knows what they were talking about. Then I moved home (unforeseen), so cancelled my account after just 3 months, gave my 1 months notice in November, and they were still trying to take ,obey from me in Feb! Even though when I called the call centre, they said my last payment would be the end of December. Then I cancelled my DD in early Feb so they would stop charging me, and now I keep getting phone calls from capital resolve to pay them £34.68, which I haven't got a clue what it's for, since they told me my last payment would be in Dec. I understand a fee is charged for exiting your contract, but to be charged in Feb when I gave my notice in November and was told my last payment would be in December is unreal. My £15 a month deal turned into £120 for 3 months, and for 1 month of that, the Internet didn't even work properly. Never again would I choose Sky, and to nobody would I ever recommend sky. I had no problems with virgin in over 10 years! Sky did model over any of the promises they made.

When looking for the internet speed divide the speed it gives you by a 100 and thats what youll get. Terrible internet barely above 3mbps.

Happy enough eventually. It just depends who you are put through. Casey had shown herself as professional. my price for same package went surprisingly down. and the speed is acceptable.

CAUTION - to all those that share flat/house. The account holder moved out 4 years ago. Phoned then, was told no need to cancel, can be made a full user. So i have come to move out. Had to find and contact the account holder to cancel, as a full user can buy more services but cant cancel the account.

Had paid for the month in advance only to find that the broadband was stopped the day after. Phoned to ask them to keep the money and just let it run till the end of the month. No luck.

No system setup to transfer password/ account holder priviliges without cancelling and waiting 2 weeks to be reconnected. The customer service is disjointed and unconcerned as well as have no interest in keeping a customer that stayed with them for 4 years. Will now try all the other competitor's before going back to sky or it's subsidiaries.
