Their technical broadband team is a bunch of scums. Their service is con. Their prices rip the pocket of even the rich clients. Their advertised speed is a scam and only, tv and broadband can enjoy the service. AVOID SKY CON SERVICE AT ANY COST.

Took three weeks to get connectivity from the initial expected go-live date and involved over 240 minutes of my time on the phone to their customer service desk. I had to take two full days off work to be home for techs to visit (both of which were pointless visits as the fault was not within the property - tried multiple times to communicate this to Sky as when we moved in the previous tenants had connectivity fine -but they wouldn’t listen), the fault was at the exchange as suspected. Took three weeks to resolve something that probably could have been resolved very quickly if investigated properly. Kept getting text messages saying the problem was fixed when it wasn’t - all in all a really frustrating experience. No compensation provided except for a £20 discount which doesn’t even cover a month’s bill or lost earnings. Now it’s set up, it’s passable but slow. Will move when I have the energy to deal with this all over again with another provider!

Been with Sky for a few years, the speeds were awful and it's really expensive. Their owned supplied routers are terrible and they limit using 3rd party routers. WE have recently switched to post office broadband and noticed a big difference in speeds, at it's about half the price.

I have been with Sky many years and recently switched to Sky Q. The new routers they supply are absolute garbage, unreliable, constantly dropping connections and variable speed.
I have had two now and both failed within weeks - in the end I switched back to the old router I have had for over 4 years now. If you are a new customer and don't have that option it must be a nightmare. They really need to sort the router quality out.

they offered me a refund of £24 for total denyal of service 5nov2018 until 20dec when their own customer service representative had stated £8 per day compensation.they then increased their charges to negate the compensation and attempted to charge me more than 100% of what I had signed up for. AVOID SKY AT YOUR PERIL, they lie and rob you.

Useless. We have had sky for 2 years now and for 2 years we have had to reset the box and mess with the filter etc nearly every other day. Complained and all you get is it’s prob the box or your phone line, I know it’s not the line as we have had the same prob in our last house and I’m pretty sure we are on our 2nd box. As for the speed, we are lucky if 2 people can browse at the same time without slowing it down.

Worst broad band I have ever had. I currently use Virgin and have used EE plusnet and can honestly say Sky is the worst. It comes to something when you cant even stream a standard low def video on YouTube without it having to buffer everything couple of minutes. I used sky a few years ago and it was absolutely horrendous. My parents have had sky installed recently (even after telling them how bad they are!) and after spending the weekend visiting them my opinion is still the same. Avoid at all costs

Do not get sky as your isp they are completely useless and a waste of time and money. One day the internet will be decent and then the next day it is terrible, it’s like every week at least half the days I can’t use my xbox at all to play games as it’s unbearable to play with such a high ping. I just thought it was because I’m quite a long distance away from the router so I buy a WiFi booster, that has done a decent job but then there is still days where I can’t use it as it’s that bad. The download speed is the worst part, a 10 GB game would take about 8 hours to complete and it took me 2 full days to install a 80 GB game and it was only done in 2 days because I had to use my mobile data to speed it up. I did one of those speed tests and it came out terrible, it’s miles below the uk average and its down in the bottom 1%. If you are looking to use sky for your internet don’t waste your time they’re rubbish look elsewhere.

I was with Sky for two years and had persistent problems with my connection. The connection was always slow and cut out completely regularly (10’s of times per day) before I switched provider. Sky customer service advisors were always pleasant and would eventually send an engineer out after following their troubleshooting instructions, however, the visit would not fix the issue and Sky seemed unable to offer any other solutions except sending an engineer out again. At the end of my contract, the payment nearly doubled without them notifying me and this was the final straw for me switching. I know people who have had a decent experience with Sky bro’s and, however, I certainly wouldn’t recommend their service to anyone.

too many times my new fibre connection has let me down. Living in a house with 3 gamers might not help but for the superfast fibre broadband to only give me just over 3mb of download speeds is pretty poor in my opinion. think its time to switch Virgin!

Internet keeps dropping, if I've watched a few programs on my smart TV the next day my internet goes off...if I use my Sonos speaker for a few hours ..my internet goes off. Like Sky are metering your use? Then the usual switch off and on, unplug wire....it's a fault outside your home- engineer came next day it was broken again. You can't get any tech support before 9am! Just rubbish, I regret getting sky broadband.

AVOID SKY... I received a call a couple of months back offering me deal to switch to Sky from BT. I was promised that even though I was in a contract with BT all would be taken care of and I wouldn’t need to pay any money.
It turns out BT weren’t contacted and a new phone line was put in so I am now paying for 2 separate TV/broadband packages. The cost to get out of my BT package is £340...
MYSTERIOUSLY, the recorded phone call can’t be accessed which would prove that Sky messed up, and I am now out of a lot of money whatever happens. Even if I cancel my Sky package, BT will be charging me to sort out the phone line again. On top of that I will need to pay for a new BT router as my old one was disposed of.
Also the Sky broadband connection is very poor. It consistently loses connection and frequently have to use 3G connection on my mobile devices.

terrible service, problem after problem after problem. Each time i'm told its a fault outside your home then hear nothing, internet flakes off all the time max speeds of around 6download 0.5 uploads but its mostly 1-2 if any at all, its infuriating and has been going on for years, tell me I can leave but have to pay termination charges. Avoid them at all costs

Ok I am not a customer with Sky but I just used their website to see what service I could get into a property. I was asked to phone a tel nos and have just spent half an hour listening going through what is clearly mostly about marketing eith future or now and when we finally get to the agent answering the question: there is no Sky BB service available. I assume Sky knows this but just wants to sell me something. Any Sky reps monitoring this - I know Sky TV is available at the property but on the basis of this interaction alone I will not be signing up.

Worst internet service I have ever used! I had dial-up in the 90's that was faster. I left virgin as I was told I would get up to 200Meg connection speed at a lower cost. Not only was the cost a lie but the fastest speed I have had to date is 6Meg. It constantly disconnects and customer service are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Avoid them at all cost!!!

Every aspect of my sky broadband is sub standard. We live in a small mid terrace but struggle to get any signal upstairs. The speeds are so slow we cannot even stream a programme on tv, constantly interrupted by buffering. When opening web pages on both the pc and smartphone, we have to wait noticeably for them to load up, some more complex pages don’t load at all.
Spoke to customer services for around 45 minutes, told you get what you pay for and there is no solution to my problem.
Please don’t use sky broadband it isn’t fit for purpose.

TV signal is intermittent & has been for weeks. They are recommending an Engineers visit at £65. Surely this is their issue & shouldn’t be a charge?

I pay for Sky because it is cheap, and I get very little money, so I only spend under 30 a month. But it lies, I am only meant to get 15mbs, and whenever I check it on their website it says that it is constantly at 19mbs.What BS. I have spent the lazt 2 hours, trying to watch a video that's not even in HD, and is only 23 minutes long. It buffers every 2 seconds. I am not convinced it is ever at 19mbs, and believe Sky is a scam. I like in a two people household, and the only other person who is on the wifi, is my partner who is just on his phone. Regret my choices but I am on a contract.

I don't even know what to write without getting unreasonably angry.
We've had "fibre" (FTTC) for nearly 2 years now. For the first 2 months, didnt work and our phoneline was dead. Kept reporting it, kept getting told either "nothing was wrong" or "it'll be working soon". just as we threatened to take things further, it started to all work again. Since then, spotty internet with speeds anywhere between 5mb and 15mb and a noisy line.
For the last month, our internet has been down to less than 1mb (when it works). Again, complaints to Sky do nothing as they keep saying "nothing is wrong, thats the speed you've always had". Ridiculous. Contract is now up, so we're changing to literally ANYONE else.

Having had a conversation with sky about a black Friday update to sky Q,we were told that our internet would change to super fast on the 5th of December and the sky Q on 24th December.
5th came and went with no notification,we rang sky and then told the 12th.The 12th came and went(again no notification)
On the 13th we noticed we had no internet or landline.
Subsequent conversations with sky means now we are expected to be connected on the 6th/7th of January, all this meant over 5 hours on the phone.
I find this totally unacceptable and very frustrating,I have a house full this Christmas, plus I subscribe to Amozon prime and Netflix which now cannot be viewed
