We have been a SKY TV and Broadband customers, for >15 years. The SKY TV is in my wife's name, and the SKY Broadband and telephone is in my name, because I needed to claim it as a business expense. Since I retired, SKY say that they cannot combine the two accounts. And that is all I ever get from SKY; what they can't do.
I'm currently researching an alternative provider, but it would appears that there aren't any good ones, especially subsequently providing an acceptable Customer Service.
Every pound that we pay SKY, has to be perfect, and worth 100p. But they don't seem to be prepared to provide anywhere near a 100% service.

Have used sky for about 1-2 years now, and I can say this has not lived up to its expectations. The insanely slow speeds are driving me crazy and we have called many sky employees to fix our internet and nothing has worked. I highly consider changing to virgin media as i will too soon.

It's ****. That's all. Never buy Sky, BT or Virgin Media are much better and they still get you sky cinema and basically all tv channels. I was promised more than 50 mb/s everywhere around the house with multiple devices connected wireless, but just for the 3 of us at home we all get below 10. Ping is good however, the packet loss is insane and as a gamer is very hard. When we used to have Virgin we would get more than 50 constantly all around the house, however, Sky doesn't even reach some rooms and our house isn't even big, it isn't even 2 floors. I will admit that in my village not much can be done, but if Virgin can do it, then so should Sky, but they don't. I think my best Christmas present this year would be going back to Virgin Media.

Sky is the worst service provider ever. It is impossible to contact Sky to speak to or email and contact is often required as the service is dire. Broadband speed is the lowest and watching a program in it's entirety is impossible as the signal drops constantly. If you think of joining Sky, do yourself a favour and think again.

Absolute rubbish and over priced. Once your offer period is over the price rises to almost £36 a month but the download rates are almost zero and all they do is press you to buy Sky TV endlessly. DO NOT GET SKY BROADBAND there are so many better providers out there who aren't just using poor service and poor broadband to upsell TV

at the same address have been with talk talk which is rubbish with bt it was ok with sky it is great.
constant connection on a very very little amount of drop off and the speed as promised.
never had an issue in more than 2 years
so I can not comment about customer service as since two gentlemen came an connected my sky tv and broadband and that's it since then never have had an problem

Their customer service is a joke. I ordered my broadband to be set up on a specific day, but the engineer didn't turn up. I contacted them immediately and was told that the employee I talked to mistyped my address (which I wrote down to them correctly, they could have just copypasted it). I explained to them that I am disabled and cannot make phone calls, so broadband connection is essential for my job and also for my everyday life, and I asked them to fix the error as soon as possible. They promised me to fix the address in their system in 72 hours, but it took them a whole week to do it, and then they expected me to wait two more weeks to get my broadband set up. I was left without internet and all my job related and moving home related stuff needed to be reorganised. I was not even compensated in any way for their mistake. Avoid them at all cost if you're looking for reliable internet and professional customer service.

Awful broadband customer service. Tried to join sky but they failed to get an engineer round on day of installation. Repeatedly called over 3 weeks but they wouldn't get another one out. Eventually they said only way to get me broadband was to cancel the service. Obviously I went with another provider.
However they still debited me for the broadband, and it took weeks to get them to refund it.
Not only that, they are now trying to charge me £122 for early exit fee! Joke.

We were promised and quoted no less than 30MB/s internet speed when entering this contract and it has not once gotten higher than 10Mb/s. This doesn't sound that awful until you then realize that the average speed we have actually received is 10-50Kb/s which is just ******* absurd.so naturally we have tried to cahnge provider early out of the contract and due to the contract having failed on all sides we were promised a refund for the last 3 months and no cancellation fee, excellent i thought. Turns out what they didnt tell us was that isnt something they do and are now trying to charge us £700 for leaving a 12 month contract 3 months in. we are still only getting 50Kb/s at peak times for a family of 4.
DO NOT GET THIS INTERNET IT IS THE WORST PROVIDER OUT THERE.

Products arrived on time but broadband didn't work. Diagnosis indicated I needed an engineer which took three days, then the engineer cancelled 30 mins before the scheduled 5 hour window, after i'd taken the day off work. Next appointment is 4 days later requiring another day off work. 1 hour wait time to speak to an agent

Bad bad scam company. Charging way more than was told and their fees are worked out by some monkey. Always getting told a different price to what I actually pay. Speeds are inconsistent. Really avoid these jokers at all costs!

Just cancelled a 10+ year sky subscription been a fully paid customer, they've switched off all my recordings and purchased films.... judging by the reviews on here there are more dissatisfied clients than happy ones. Let's hope this profiteering, zero customer service company is finally heading to its demise.

Ever thought of switching your interest broadband provider? Don't. ANYTHING is better than sky. I cannot emphasize the pain I feel using this internet, I'd rather be on Plusnet. I'm not entirely sure what they have done to this internet because if you use a speed tester on your phone you will get decent results, on or above average the promised speeds. But as soon you get off the speed tester and actually USE the internet it takes 4-5x longer than mobile data and it regularly detoriates to even slower speeds. When watching a video the quality will change in accordance to the poor level of internet and will buffer often. Loading simple games, websites and apps takes minutes and at times the WiFi will just loose connection to the internet temporarily for a few minutes which is very frustrating when doing online based tasks. Since taking the contract I have majoratively used mobile data on home and even my hotspot is faster. The overprotective security setting that it comes with means that almost everything is blocked till 9 and even if you call to get it removed it will take 10 years because the customer service moves as slow as their wifi. It'S like a mortgage bond, high rates but full of ****. Never buy

Sky was great when we had an expensive package but we wanted to remove the TV package from our deal (when it expired) and 2 weeks later they turned off our WiFi! They said it got turned off when removing the TV package and this is rubbish as it has been 2 weeks since the TV package worked. Been told I had to wait 1 week til Internet could be reinstated for me (I have sky Q) because they had to set me up again and I had to wait til then with no Internet and no effort to retain me as a customer. Not good enough considering it's apparently their error and they aren't fixing it. Cancelled and moving!!

I find the internet is unstable and inconsistent. When I ring sky they say it is due to how the internet is set up... which they were responsible for, I put up with it now because we are due to move house and once we do Sky will never be an option for us as the internet is absolutely horrendous. They over charge and under deliver.

Awful customer service. Whenever there is a problem, you can never get through to an actual person to help you. Instead they put you on hold for ages while playing recorded messages trying to get you to solve the problem online. Which you can't because either you can't get online, or the issue you're having is not in the pre-canned list. Then you get disconnected. What a complete waste of time. I am switching to another provider as this service is totally unacceptable.

I couldn't even get onto the website to make a complaint with the internet, I had to use my mobile data and I cant even sign into my ps4 because the internet is so slow. Horrible network company.. they told us they will takr £27 each month and for sim £10, they are taking £64 for sim and £41 for net.. i don't even want to give half start. Now for cancellation sim they want £60 for each sim.
My advice is never contract with sky,

Absolutely awful! Signed up for sky broadband. Had a letter saying thankyou and had agreed for a technician to turn up and install it. After two weeks no such thing happened. Called up customer service spoke to two rude people who just didn’t have any idea of customer service and sounded like they wanted to go home and didn’t care in the slightest. Found out I was reported for fraud!!! How is that even possible I just want internet!! Yet sky couldn’t be bothered to tell me and alert me and wouldn’t tell me any more information..........yet they’re happy to take your money! Absouloutely horrendous!!! Avoid like the plague!!!

had fast broadband for 8 months then it went down hill from there. slow and speeds are up and down all the time sick of it i should of stayed with EE never had a problem with them.sky did send out there own engineer out a thew times then bt a thew times did make it much better but only lasted a thew days back to square one again!..my line is perfect i was told so it con only be bt or sky crap router! will look else were next time!

Please don't buy Sky. It has the worst customer service. For home change request, it has been 2 weeks and I have not got an update. I tried calling their customer service and waited for 1 hr in queue but they didn't answer. Any ways I can disconnect this stupid connection? The post office broadband provides much faster service than this service. They even increased my connection amount from 18 to 20 £ without informing and on asking told they no longer have the service. They even disconnected my contract and put a new contract for 18 months once again

Sold a Sky TV and broadband package - told the property was listed as 'Sky-ready' and that there would be no problem switching from current provider. I could even try it for a period of time and cancel with no issues as there is a 'cooling off period'... wait for it...
Sky engineer arrived for install and said it wasn't possible to run the service from the property. Cancelled subscription the same week. Cancellation letter confirmed cancellation.
Now I've been charged for a service I'm not using and trying to get a refund for being falsely sold to. Been on phone 53 minutes to customer service and it's still not resolved and I've now been told to call back in a week due to their 'system being able to process the information'.
They are saying I need to pay for a month for a service I've not even had!!
AVOID. Seriously - avoid.

The sky guaranteed speeds we were given our from our router to some sky server that maintains consistently higher speeds than are actually achievable to a website. Even basic images on websites struggle to load. But because of their weird guarantee rules I can't cancel before the end of the contract even with a product that doesn't work.

Had an automated phone call this morning informing me that my WiFi is about to be disconnected and to contacted my provider to have a new one installed. Tried to contact sky by text, live chat, email via their site but found it impossible. Tried phoning and repeatedly got the “we are extremely busy at the moment, waiting time is currently 20 mins” that I seem to get every time I ring them. Disgusting service. Don’t have anything to do with them - I wish I hadn’t. And this is only a few weeks after the last disruption in service.

We have moved the house, so i contact sky to transfer broadband in new home
They said moving home is for free but have to pay £60 for sky hub, i just told them 2 months back when i bought their broadband i payed already so i can't pay again £60 for installation, 1 of the team said you people will keep on moving and we can't install for free i just told them this was 1st time we moved not evrytime, i told them i cant afford to pay £60 so they gave me 3 option :
1st option: to pay for installation
2nd option: to give them broadband hub back and pay £60 monthly instead of £34
3rd option: broadband cancellation and due to contract i have to pay £105
In all these 3 option its just loss for me
Staff is saying you agreed with the broadband 18 months contract i have to decide from any 3 option if i had knew we were about to move then i would had never went for broadband.

Speed varies by the hour, the basic broadband package is rubbish , so you have to get a more expensive package to supply multiple devices. But even that isn't stable. Trying to talk to a remote call centre is totally frustrating. They make Virgin look good!

Shocking, wr moved house and couldn't get Virgin so had to change to this mob.

The internet was in general pretty average (slow to slightly faster - some disconnection for no reason), but service customer was terrible. A call every month to try to sell us new products, even so we asked them every time to not call us anymore. Processes for starting their modem were far from easy, and cherry on the top of the cake was the way made everything complicated for ending our contract. We are not going to another provider, not even moving house, we are leaving the country !! That should be super easy, and all logic should be that we don't have to pay fees for that, as we don't have choice than stopping our internet provider... Have been leaving in a lot of different countries, that the only time in my life I'm asking to pay fees for cancellation while I'm leaving the country, that is non sense...
