Im totally disappointed and dissatisfied with Vodafone and wishing I've never moved over to them. My Broadband is slow, the signal is ridiculously poor, I have a so called super wifi box but this keeps failing as the signal from the booster is so poor it drops off even thought it's only 3m away! I only live in a small house so shouldn't need a booster. But even when I had the booster working i still had dead spots in the house. And then there is the non existent technical support. I have called for hours and then the phone drops out and on the online chat again I waited for over an hour to get to the front of the queue for the chat to complete before I'd even had chance to start chat,I rejoined the chat to wait over 1.5 hrs for them to decide it was hometime when I had gone from 15 to 2 in the queue.so I still have got through!

They disconnected my old broadband on switchover day yet there's would not activate "until up to midnight" meaning I was without internet for the day and couldn't work from home. I rang to ask why they couldn't have requested my old broadband to switch off the following day instead and he would not answer me, instead repeating his script and passing the blame.

Vodafone is never to be reliable. Speed is not fast as hyperoptic or Virgin media, but it keeps on and off no services. Every time need to wait a week to fix. Even they can compensate to you, it’s not worth at all.

Before you consider joining Vodafone please read this!
My mum has been a loyal customer of Vodafone for 17 years. She has renewed a contract every two years and when I was 11 bought me my first mobile, a pay as you go with Vodafone. These phones eventually graduated onto contracts with mobiles as part of the payment plan. My Mum has degenerative spinal disease so cannot work and is tremendous amounts of pain every day. As I got older and started going out more both me and Mum decided that we needed reliable phones so that if I went out and Mum had a fall she could easily reach me. They are essential as I am now her full-time carer.
In January 2016 the contract was renewed and we got shiny new Samsung galaxy S6 edges! As Mum was a loyal customer and had been with Vodafone for a long time she received a discount on the plan, the total for both phones was £43.52 a month. This discount was supposed to remain in place for the 2-year contract. In other words, up until January of this year.
In November of 2016 the direct debit got cancelled by the bank, possibly due to lack of funds as Mum is disabled and cannot work. Normally if you do not pay your bill Vodafone restrict your service, yes? In our case they didn’t. From November of 2016 up until April of 2018 no payments were made and our service wasn’t restricted. We had no reason to doubt that the bill wasn’t going out as the phones never got restricted. Vodafone never sent a text, letter, email or even made a phone call to notify us that the bill was adding up.
In addition to this the line rental increased from £43.52 for both lines to £43.50 for each line, £87 a month in total. Unfortunately, I have no idea when this was changed as Vodafone’s online billing records only go back 12 months, however in August of 2017 this change had already been made. Again, Vodafone failed to inform us of this. When we finally discovered this in the April of this year, the bill was around the £900 mark.
My mum rang up to find out why this had happened and why Vodafone hadn’t notified us of the failure of billing. She was instantly blamed by Vodafone for not paying the bill and told that it was her fault. Our lines were also restricted. It was finally agreed after many hours of fighting that we would keep our phones and pay £45 a month. £14.25 per line rental totalling £28.50 a month. This is bringing the bill down by a whopping £16.50 a month. We are also now on SIM only contracts and with two and a half year old phones that are beginning to break down.
After a lot of arguing we were finally put through Customer Relations and began speaking with a lady named Sheetal. She has since agreed that the discount was removed prematurely and has refunded us that money, £171 (she claimed it added up to), however I cannot find a refund of this amount on the account anywhere, instead one £130 in March (which is before we even found out about the bill) and one for £66 in May. When I asked Sheetal if she had compared the data usage of our phones against the months where there was no payments made she said she didn’t have the statements and that it would take 48-72 hours to get them and that she would ring us back on the Saturday. That was a week an’ half ago. We are still waiting for a return call from her.
As of the 17th of August 2018 the bill is £707.59.
Despite Mum paying the agreed amount of £45 a month we have had our mobile service frequently restricted. This happens at least twice a month. It has also happened while I’ve been out and heartbreakingly my mum had a fall, which in itself is not that uncommon, and normally she can reach me but since Vodafone had restricted our service she couldn’t call anyone and was stuck on the floor where she had fallen for over two hours. This left her in agony for several days and made me feel extremely guilty. I have since stopped going out in case it happens again.
Two days ago, our service was again restricted despite the payment being made and again we rang up and had an argument with customer relations. Eventually our lines were reconnected and we were told we would receive a call from Sheetal today (30/8/18.) Instead we got a phone call from a man called Asif Shekh. He asked for Mum to pay the bill of over a three month payment plan, £200+ a month (forgive me for not working it out.)
When Mum tried to explain what the she was disabled and that she would never be able to pay over three months he abruptly cut her off and very rudely said ‘Yes, I know that and your daughter helps you. I’ve read the notes.’ If he had read the notes, then he must have read that £45 is all we can afford a month. Why after reading that did he ask for a three month payment plan? When she explained again that she couldn’t pay that much and that £45 is all she can afford he threatened her with our phone numbers being deleted and being taken to court. This left my mum in tears fearing bailiffs. We are now waiting for Sheetal to ring tomorrow (hopefully.)
Ultimately my argument with Vodafone is that they will not admit they made a mistake in failing to either restrict our lines when the bill stopped going through or send out a letter, make a phone call or send a text to inform us. It isn’t about the bill anymore, I just wish they would admit they were wrong and take ownership of the suffering they are putting my mum through.
My advice to any potential Vodafone customer is to run to another company as fast as humanly possible. As if this is how they treat loyal customers I can only dread to think of how they would treat new customers.

Never went live !!!!! Waste of my time and money, they have agreed to cancel and I have even had emails confirming cancellation to then see that they are still charging me for a service which I have never had !!! I’m so annoyed can’t believe how many times I have called and how many hours of my life I have wasted on this company. I am also a mobile customer and will now find a new supplier for that also. Hate that a company as big as this can get it sooooo wrong without apology and no actual knowledge

We get an overall good service with Vodafone. The router is fine and they will provide you the PPPoA password if you want to get a better one.

Support has been fine. They have both phone and online chat support.

Speed is expected and in line with what Openreach is available on the line.

Overall a good, cheap and reliable ISP

Just appalling. I have changed to Carphone Warehouse but still with Vodafone. 8 days later and numerous calls later - each time being told it will be resolved quickly I am no further forward.
I just don't want to have anything else to do with them but have to as I want to keep my number. Presumably that is why they just don't care about their customers. I suggest that you use any other provider apart from Vodafone.

Awful. switched from Sky and the broadband Superfast 2 is awful. kept dropping out.Wifi terrible even with extender and speeds are not what they claim at all. Never had any trouble with Sky previously. Asked to be released from contract for breach as they aren't providing what they claim but of course they claim speeds are ok, doesn't drop out, oh and they can't predict any drop in wifi. Avoid at all costs.

Line slow and dropping. i.e. Was a ping of 14ms and speed of 60 meg. Now a ping of 30ms and a speed of 35meg
Used the vodaphone diagnostics tool which diagnosed a problem.
Received a phone call from an 'engineer'who said my problem would be solved by pugging directly into the bt socket faceplate.
Told him I'd done that three days ago.
He then replied my speed was not below the minimum contract so they would do nothing but to ring them if I was still having problems.
So they rang me because they knew there was a problem and because it wasn't an easy fix they will do nothing.

Moved propertys almost 4 weeks ago changed my adress with the tobi helper.... comes to activation day no Internet. Calls the team apparently was cancelled, I spoke to 3 diffrent people each and every one of them got my new adress wrong changed it eatch and every time, so it comes to this morning.. gets call from open reach they have booked it to the wrong property. Id recommend either giving your staff drugs tests or employing someone who knows how to run a job because right now between your broadband team and tobi, I wouldn't trust you to even run me a bath please do not switch to Vodafone if you are reading this. My partner works at home and now she is 2 weeks in wages down. Cheers Vodafone

    I do not recommend
I first ordered Vodafone home broadband several weeks ago. I was informed I would receive the router and hear shortly re my installation but all in all it will take approx 2 weeks . After 3 weeks I had not heard anything so I rang to chase and learnt they had cancelled my order due to the sales agent not processing it properly . They actually cancelled my order 3 times . I received an apology and 1 months free line rental and was told the would now expedite the installation . A couple of weeks went by and not heard again so again contacted Vodafone to learn appointment booked in and I needed to be ther but they hadn't booked it with me or let me know . Anyway I took the day off work , lost income only for them to not attend . I am fuming . I have contacted them but it is another 2 weeks . They had rescheduled without my knowledge . This has cost me dearly . I have also just learnt that they have not credited my account the 1 month as agreed even though two separate agents confirmed they had , obviously lied. and not willing to try and get them out earlier . I was dumped through from department to department , lied to and kept on hold for 2 periods in excess of 45 minutes . They do not care about there customers . I understand John Lewis now offer broadband and they are very customer focused so probably would have been a better decision to of chose them

I tried to sign up for broadband with Vodafone. We had an installation date given. I checked the status of my order the day before installation as I hadn't received any equipment only to find that Vodafone had cancelled my order! No-one had advised us of this. I contacted them to find out why it had been cancelled only to find out that they couldn't transfer our landline number, so instead of contacting us to ask us if we were happy with having a new landline number, they didn't and just cancelled it without advising us. We were supposed to have a dongle in the package as a broadband backup, and throughout our order process we were sent texts to advise that it was out of stock and would be sent soon. I've spent the last 2 days trying to get hold of someone who can help me because as of today, we will be without broadband and a landline as our original contract was swapped. So far I've been transfered 9 times and counting....... They are telling me now that my original plan does not exist and that I would need to pay £4 a month more for the same service. AVOID VODAFONE AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Having read reviews on here, it was with some trepidation I decided to swap from BT Infinity to Vodafone. That said I think all the broadband providers, including BT, have just as bad reviews.
We swapped on 16th June and one month later have now received first bill. I can only recount our experience which has been faultless. I actually can think of nothing whatsoever to criticise. It all happened as it was scheduled to, our speeds are just as good as before, reliability is probably better. The bill was exactly as expected.
We have been Vodafone mobile customers for some years so get the lower rate. Now saving in excess of £400 per annum.
So 10/10, thank you Vodafone you got it right for us

Half way through a 18 month contract and multiple engineers later. We are still getting less than half minimum speed if it even works at all!
Vodafone keep telling me there is a fault between the fibre box and the router. I know this to be false as technicians they have sent have tested the line with me there and shown me the results as they receive it. These results show as NO FAULT ON LINE!

Vodafone Wi-Fi is the worst Wi-Fi I have ever used, the range is rubbish the reliability is rubbish and the way you have to go through the chat bot to get to an advisor is a complete waste of time.

Absolutely rubbish , 8th of February was my original set up date , I received my broadband set box there was no confirmation about an engineer coming he just turned up and still no broadband working, after going through the conversation with the robot on the other side for over an hr I decided to ring them they said keep the broadband box switched on it should go online , nothing happened after 24hrs so I rang them again , they couldn't find my account so finally they found it and told me the old box will have to be cancelled and a new one will arrive and another delay of 10 to 14 days to be online, the box was booked in to come between 12 and 1pm that day , I received an email and a text message to say my broadband and engineer had been cancelled for no apparent reason , the box arrived on time that day, I rang them again they didn't have a clue that the box had been sent out and a engineer booked , they were going to send me another broadband box so I would have had 3 by the time it was set up , I'm still not online it's the worst service I have ever experienced , I've probably spent 5hrs in calls and messaging a robot , absolutely disgusting service and very stressful ....

I don't usually review anything, but I Vodafone have driven me to this. 6 Months into the contract I can't wait to get out, the router needs rebooting weekly, service often drops out and the speed is 16mbps vs 24mbps I had with BT. The router is garbage compared to BT's with short wi-fi range and customer service just tell you to reboot, no more help than that is ever offered. It will cost me a couple of quid more but I'll be straight back to BT in 6 months.

I switched to Vodafone due to their promised broadband speeds. I received my router and after a hitch eventually got set up. Over the first month my speeds were shockingly slow. After several online chats i got a technician out to fix my phone line. The following month i kept losing my internet. After several online chats i was promised a new router as mines was allegedly faulty. After two weeks waiting i still had no router. Online advisers denied any knowledge of promising a new router despite me keeping screenshots of conversations. I then had to call an advisor and again was promised the issue would be resolved. Vodafone will give you the runaround so keep records of conversations. Im far from impressed and definitely wouldn't recommend Vodafone to anyone...

Failed to connect service on time.
Failed to correct fault when service wasn't operational once they claimed it had been connected.
Refused to refund payment for the first month of contract when the service had been available for zero days due to their mistakes (unavailable for 5 weeks in total).
Failed to provide the welcome gift offered with package.
Ignored requests for welcome gift that should have been received with package.

    So once connected all's good...

    Well no....
Service repeatedly fails with no explanation
Service slows to a crawl for days or weeks on end (so I end up using my mobile hotspot - thankfully I have unlimited tethering but often means no internet or TV for others in household when I'm not home)
And despite having switched off their 'content controls', I'm still repeatedly referred to and blocked from accessing everyday sites because it's trying to redirect me to their content controls page which then fails to load leaving you with no way of accessing the site.

    Overall, a total fail.

I'm counting the days until I can switch provider. You should not even for one second consider switching to this one. No deal they can offer (and subsequently ignore) is worth the risk of their inevitable total failure on every single measure of service provision, customer service, technical capability and honesty.

Dont bother to get any service from them. I read a lot of bad reviews, but I said to myself that cant be that bad. They will lock you into a 2 yrs contract, adress every complaint with some money, just to keep you dealing with the same issues over and over again.
Stay away, im going back to sky

Moved to Vodafone from Talktalk just over a month ago, loads of issues since when for years I had no issues. Previously got 43Mbps consistent every day and when I joined Vodafone it went up to 50Mbps all speedtest verified. After the 14 day grace period was up my speed fell to 21Mbps as proven by their own app, they sent a engineer out to fix it and he did a good job and the speed went back up to 50Mbps

That is until a couple days ago when the speed went down to 32.5Mbps and it stays at 32.5Mbps, I complained again as I am on superfast 2 and guaranteed 55Mbps or a discount, they said that there is nothing wrong with my speed as openreach confirms a minimum speed of 31 to my area, they also say that they are not throttling my connection

I think its clear they are throttling my connection and trying to use a BT guarantee as a way to do it, entice customers in with good prices and high speeds and then hope they don't notice or lack the tech brain to know the speed has dropped and they wait until after your contract grace period has gone to do it

their service is the worst ever. Drops out all the time. Have to change channels. Once you get your box etc its past the 14 days when you can cancel so your stuck in your contract. Good speeds when working

Had Vodafone for a while now, broadband as well as 2 mobile contracts, never had a problem....until last month. The speeds dropped to 217KBPS on my ps4. online chat is useless, reading off sheets and constantly telling you to change the frequency channels and it'll improve after 24 hours (it doesn't). phone up to get passed from department to department, honestly folks...dial up is faster. currently sat looking for a more reliable provider. just avoid them.

Dreadful I wish I had never signed up, when installed I was left without broadband and landline for a, they gave my number to someone else and I was waiting for the call for a transplant, they then had the cheek for months to try and charge me for calls to Spain ect that I never made, the speed over the last few months has went from the promised 66 to 11 at times the highest it gets now is about 20, I just want rid of them, I wish I had known before I signed the contract, nothing but trouble from day one

If your looking to spend hours and hours on the phone dealing with Asian representatives of Vodafone trying to resolve issues your having with the service then look no further, you have found your cheap broadband provider who at every opportunity will try their very hardest to heap misery on you. The old saying of “you only get what you pay for” is very true in this case, cheap broadband with bad customer service.
I managed to get out before I was tied to them for two years by leaving within the 14 days grace period of my contract but even that had its drama, twice I was threatened with a early termination fee, the Asian team thought it was ok to use this tactic to stop me leaving the service and then after I cancelled the service the broadband still remained and again I spent hours on the phone telling Vodafone that I had cancelled the service and wouldn’t be paying for a discontinued service which consumed my whole Saturday morning. Vodafone customer service is one of the worst I have ever experienced.

Took over a month from my go live date to actually be able to get online. Complaints made regarding this were ignored. When I was finally able to contact someone I had to run a script on one of my devices to be able to connect. No refund, or even an apology, was offered for the month of service paid for that I didn't receive.

Now it turns out that that script restricts what I can access online even when I'm not connected via their service - who knows what tracking cap is running too. And the page to change these restrictions - permanently down for maintenance.

If you want to pay for an ISP but not have one. Or like to have strict controls like some 90s workplace applied to your usage, then Vodafoney are your guys. Otherwise, pay a few quid more and go with some a service operated by some at least vaguely competent grown ups.

I have tried to set up broadband with Vadafone for almost a month now. Making my order over the phone, Vadafone put in the wrong address. When I phoned to tell them this, they pushed my order forward an extra month, despite it being their fault. I then phones customer complaints who were to phone me back at 4.30. They called at 2.30. I then called again and was garunteed an activation date for the 16/07/18, which I was happy to accept. (Bear in mind I was originally meant to have internet on the 06/07/18). I then received an email from Vadafone telling me I'd get internet activated on the 20/07/18. 4 days after I was "garunteed" activation my comaints. Terrible expereicne, no one seems to know what they're doing...

Connection constantly dropping cannot use WiFi for Internet calling. Tried contacting customer service as Internet not working for a week, live chat for half an hour then no longer able to reply to questions as no text box on page. £20 a month better maybe to spend a bit more. Definately will be be looking for new provider when contract needs renewal

Ordered the broadband and they said it will take 2 weeks. A week before, online chat with India's admin team and they said everything is fine. Checked and 2 days before activation because I had not receive the hub and then said everything will be fine. Only on the activation that they told me the order was cancelled and I had to wait another 2 weeks. Shocking. Went with TalkTalk instead.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I signed up with Vodafone Fibre Broadband believing they have the same standard as their mobile phone network, oh how WRONG I was!!!!! Internet keeps cutting off, not at all reliable when you are using Skype for Business for example.
I was tempted with one of their offers, but I am counting the days until my 18mo contract finishes with them. I will definitely pay slightly higher price for a reliable network. It's such a shame that a great mobile network provider allows this to tarnish their reputation.

Just awful. Avoid at all costs. If you can't get another company in your area, consider moving or living the life of a hermit because not having the internet at all is probably better than having vodafone internet. You can't even leave a complaint about how bad it is because a) the internet is so slow that you get bored if waiting for the page to load and b) the site is deliberately designed to make it almost impossible to find the complaints page and then actually follow through on it. I had more reliable internet in 2001 and I wish I were exaggerating.

Kept having issues with our internet, kept dropping in and out. Called customer services start of December, they updated our router via some tweeks remotely. Still kept having issues. I work from home and couldn’t even participate in teams meetings. Called again and they said again they needed to do some updates and they hadn’t been done for so long. Dispite them claiming the week before when I called they had done some updates. Ended up signing up for fibre with them instead and the promise of a new router. Router never came. Outreach installed fibre. But Vodafone didn’t send an ethanet cable so had to dismantle our cameras so we could connect to the fibre. I have now cancelled. Terrible service. Do not use!!
