Download Vodafone broadband app for phone, go WiFi section, and change your channel to one no other person is using. That's where all the problems lie, all broadband companies are using the same channel numbers which causes interference.

Do not get had Vodafone broadband. I've had it for 1 week and I'm going back to bt. the speed is atrocious speed Ranges from 0.1 to 6mb and signal drops all the time router is not as good as bt hub 6 the range is dreadful. worst mistake I ever did cost me £60 to go back to BT and the £25 it cost to activate Vodafone do not risk it.

Most reviews tend to be negative, because people need somewhere to vent. I know plenty of people who've had significant problems with Vodafone so they're obviously not perfect....but nor is any other company. However - I thought I'd share my experience of switching from BT standard to Vodafone 38mbs fibre.

Frankly...it was superb. Plenty of communication about what was happening and when. They dealt with BT and all I got from BT was "This is when you're leaving and this is the date of your final bill". On the day; BT stopped....Vodafone didn't start. I phoned Vodafone customer service (based in Glasgow for Broadband) and they were excellent. Ended up needing an engineers visit the following week. So, because i'm with Vodafone on mobile; they gave me 50GB of data to use my phone as a hotspot whilst I waited for the engineer. 4G tethering meant I had excellent broadband the entire time.
Engineer arrived (Openreach) and told me the phone line had been wrongly connected at the exchange (by Openreach). Took him 20 minutes to sort it out. Broadband kicked in within the hour and it's been consistently great since. broadband speed tests show I'm getting everything promised...and all for over £10 a month less than BT standard 17mbs.
So I'm a very happy customer and happy to share the experience.

I switched in November 2016 with the promise that my broadband service would be better than my previous supplier and I had 5 months of shockingly bad customer service including Vodafone staff lying to me, not following through on promises and staff blaming each other for poor service. My broadband speed was much slower than I've ever had with BT or Sky and non existent on numerous occasions. Vodafone blamed it on so many things that I lost count and I spent hours on the phone trying to resolve it - they even blamed it on my computer and told me to take it to PC world to get it fixed ! I switched back to Sky and this morning after plugging my sky router box in no more than 10 minutes later my broadband signal is working perfectly again. I would not recommend switching to Vodafone broadband to anyone.

Got Vodafone broadband in November. Had service for a week theb cut out. Then I was told thw earlier it could be fixed is on Christmas eve. Then come Christmas eve they said there was a problem with the phone like. A week later had an gas engineer out who fixed the line and the internet was working. Lasted for 2/3 weeks then cut out again. When chasing it up I was told it would take 3 days as per the contract. 3 days later I was told that the line had gone down. Had an engineer come out 10 days later who said that the line was fine now and the number had changed. I didn't want my number changed. I was not reimbursed any money that I had paid for a sub par service.

The advertised download speed with my package is 38mps. I hae just tested it and it averages 21. I live literally 100ft from the exchange, so thats miles of fibre and 100ft of copper. When I call to complain they tell me the problem must be in my flat. The router is plugged directly into the socket on the wall, but if i test the speed using my laptop inches from the router there is no improvement. Customer service just say they are sending the signal at 40mps and refuse to send an engineer to investigate. It's not cheap, the customer service is awful and I can't even stream iPlayer or YouTube reliably.

I cannot believe I was foolish enough to believe that this amateurish home broadband service provider could provide the same or better service than BT.. I regret the day I signed up for this diabolical service. With BT I was getting anything between 38 & 52 Mbps for the whole year. With Vodafone I receive anything between 40 and 0.42 Mbps ..... yes 0.42 Mbps! The majority of the time it is between 26 and 12 Mbps! At the time of writing this review it is constantly under 1 Mbps! When we started with Vodafone in Sept 2016 we were receiving 50 Mbps then, about a month later it reduced to anything between 38 and 20 Mbps. It has gradually reduced over the months (now March 2017) to its current speed of under 1 Mbps. I have contacted Vodafone technical support who are blaming my set-up at home for the diabolical speeds. If this was the case, how was it that I was receiving 50mbps for around a month when I first started the agreement and the 'set-up' I have now hasn't changed from the outset. Also, why was I, with BT, receiving between 38 and 52 Mbps with the same 'set-up'? Let's face it Vodafone, you are going back to the same attitude you had with your mobile phone customers in the 'noughties' i.e. You're are with us now.... tough! If you are thinking about joining Vodafone home broadband I really wouldn't bother if I were you.... go for another provider and pay for the line rental...... it will be with it in the long-run.

I switched to Vodafone Broadband last year from Sky.

First of all, the switch was seamless. I received the router in plenty of time and the service was turned on exactly when I was advised.

Since then, I am pleased to say that the down/up speeds have been way faster than Sky giving pretty reliable downloads of between 35-65 Mb/s.

Last off, I recently had an outage caused by Virgin Media putting a spade through some fibre in the street and the customer service I received was excellent.

    I thoroughly recommend it.

Another tale of woe! How can Vodafone get it so wrong so often?

I had a nightmare trying to sign up online so in the end I phoned up. After 2 hours of messing around online it was all sorted in 15 minutes on the phone.

The good bits - the router turned up on time, the line when live and worked first time. I have 6 devices connected to the router and it hasn't fallen over yet.

The bad bits - they put me on the wrong package and when I told them, they denied it, said the slow speed was because of DLM....I am not that stupid.

Get to the online chat 3 days later and explain the problem, he says that I am on the 38mb package, so 34mb is quite good, shame I signed up for the 76mb package.

Then they want me to sign up for another 18 month contract to change my package, then they don't want to honour the £28 per month, including the £3 per month discount. It will also be another 2 weeks before they can change.

I reluctantly change and wait the 48 hours to get the email confirmation, I don't get it....I phone and they got the order wrong, it will be another 48 hours and then 14 working days.

Maybe I am the lucky one, at least it will only be 3 to 4 weeks before I get what I pay for....

I gave customer services 3 stars because they are nice people and polite and doing the best they can, they just work for a terrible company.

Don't switch to Vodafone. Went online to change providers because sky were getting to expensive (but I always received brilliant broadband with them) saw Vodafone, same deal but half the price. Put my phone number in & postcode. All fine nothing to be done. I got half price router at £25 so I was happy. Router should arrive in a few days & im good to go. Got an email saying they didn't have any routers available so I had to wait another 10days, not a problem still happy to wait. Then got an email saying there's a problem & they have been trying to contact me for 4 days & where I haven't responded they've cancelled my order. I've been a Vodafone mobile customer for over 10 years & it was all going through the same billing account so they got my mobile number & house phone both with voicemails, so no one tried to ring me. Any way rang them to see what was going on. They said they couldn't use my line & I had to pay £60 to get a new line put in & now I've missed the deal so full price for the router £50. By this time sky has been cancelled. So I refused to pay any more & said I wouldn't have left sky if I had to pay £110. They were good enough to honour the original deal at £25. Which I was pleased they did so thank you Vodafone. Anyway I've been with them over a month now & the wifi is terrible! On YouTube, a couple of seconds in it starts buffering. Any websites take ages to load, it's crap. Dial up when I was a kid was better. I've rang them 5 times trying to get this sorted. The 1st 4 people were brilliant, polite, easy to understand & very helpful. I never waited over a minute to speak to someone really, really good customer service. The 5th bloke was crap. Every adviser had put a note on my file of what they had done, what I told them. So each person in turn would know what's going on & save me repeating myself. The 5th bloke just said "all the others were wrong, wifi is a privilege. We only guarantee fixed line broadband so I should just cancel". I would have give them 5 star customer service but the last fella ruined it. Vodafone did exstend my 30day cancellation time to help me sort the problem.
