VF called me and offered me a deal that seemed to good to be true if I switched my broadband to them from Sky. Alas it was too good to be true! Every night, despite theoretically paying for unlimited BB my broadband either goes down all together or becomes very erratic. I paid £6.99 for a NOW TV Sports pass tonight and the connection dropped after 9pm. Pricks

Recommend going for another broadband than Vodafone, a f you go for Vodafone, you'll regret it, playing online, disconnects all the time, that's even with a wired connection, and it took about half an hour, just to send this, via my iPhone, as Vodafone, useless, my EE data runs faster

I signed up for Fibre 76 with a promise from the shop of 1 pound connection fee and a download speed of min 62 and max 76. A letter arrived from Vodafone welcoming me with the statement 'This letter and enclosed booklet make up your agreement with us,....' the letter states that the connection fee is 49 pounds and the speed is min 33.5 and max 45.41. Clearly these were not the terms agreed. A complaint using Vodafone's only available avenue which is e-mail has produced no response although the website promises a reply within 2 days if possible or 5 working days maximum. So far the period is 7 working days! A call back to the Vodafone shop was met with indifference, comments that everyone had the same complaint and that replies to complaints could take 7 MONTHS to get a reply. Having today received a text message from Vodafone welcoming me I rang the freephone number provided for queries, the polite English speaking call assistant explained lots of people were having the same billing problem and he could not comment on the download speeds promised, regarding the e-mail complaint not being answered he suggested I contact the complaints department by the only available means ie by e-mail to complain my complaint had not been answered - that seems a exercise in futility. NOT GOOD SERVICE VODAFONE - NIL POINTS

After being approached by Vodafone offering free line rental, we were tempted away from BT (who had consistently deliver 50mb+ without ever having an issue) purely as a money saving exercise. We like many rarely use the landline so free line rental made good financial sense. I opted for the 76mb premium service from Vodafone, this guaranteed 50mb. After install, we noticed that simple things like streaming Amazon and downloading from sky often wouldn't work due to poor speed, not some thing you'd expect with a promised 50mb. On checking, at best it would make 20mb, often as low as 12mb. We spent hours on the phone to tech support trying to resolve it for the 6 months we've had it, new routers,Ethernet cables, firmware updates, still never getting above 20mb. After a while Vodafone would go quiet on me and I've have to constantly chase them. So after the 4th BT open reach engineer visit I have given up, it appears BT are providing however it is getting throttled back by Vodafone and they simply can't / won't provide me with the promised / contracted speed I am paying for. They have offered me early release from contract and £49 compensation as they claim they are providing me with 76mb and it's not their fault that by the time it reaches me it is only 20mb. Essentially Vodafone are advertising and charging for a service they simply cannot provide. Shocked and appalled by the lack of customer service. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I am going to eat humble pie here. I had a terrible experience with a Vodafone Store at Braehead (Glasgow), and I was extremely vexed by the lack of any response to an online complaint I had raised with Vodafone, within the 5 day window that Vodafone promises. I was on the horns of dilemma with cancelling an impending Vodafone Fibre Broadband connection despite the risk of losing a market leading offer on telephone and broadband connection. I gave vent to my feeling here on this site a couple of days ago. However, I decided to hold my nerve and go through with the switch over from BT, which happened yesterday night at midnight. Yesterday I got an email from Vodafone asking if I would ring up a number, which I did today. After taking a few more details, they confirmed that they had carried out an investigation around my complaint, and wanted to apologise for the poor service in this instance. As a gesture of goodwill, they waived one month's SIM charges.

As for the Broadband connection, I called up Vodafone to let them know that I was struggling with getting online even though the telephone line was working perfectly. It was explained to me that an engineer from Openreach would have to physically connect me up at the local cabinet, and to tide me over the short delay of a maximum of 1 day, I was offered 50GB of complimentary data allowance to tether our devices to. On the 4G network, this was blazingly fast enough. Earlier than expected, I've now got connected up within 9 hours of my morning call, and the speeds are properly eye watering - 74 Mbps download and 17 Mbps upload.

I am taking the trouble of correcting the record here for the sake of my own conscience. Good service is hardly ever reported, and bad service is hugely overrepresented in the feedback reviews. If my current experience with Vodafone continues, I would urge everyone to be sure they have good reasons not to move over to Vodafone. Their prices are simply too good to turn down.

I will of course report back here should I experience any instability with the connection speeds, or other unforeseen problems

Terrible service always cutting out and no way near what they said we would get. Spend a total of nearly 6 hours onto customer services getting no where and no results. It constantly drops out. We even phoned saying we would rather just leave the contract as not getting what was stated but the said they couldn't do that because their end it states we are getting the top speed. Absolute joke never ever use them again and I would advise anyone to consider a more reliable and helpful company. We have had trouble paying credit cards and bills because of this and still they didn't care the lady I spkoke to on the day didn't care at all about what we were saying only what they thought we were getting.

Absolutely rubbish. the signal drops and goes off all day long. Do not get this service. There is nothing fast about this service look else where. I was with Sky and got lured into thinking it would be an improvement but it is awful. Now I want to leave Vodafone want to charge me £100 which is a joke because it never worked. Avoid like the plague.

I have yet to receive my Broadband in a couple of days. I've had a terrible experience with staff at the Vodafone shop who sold me the broadband prospect. They did that on the back of me needing a replacement nano SIM for my new phone. The SIM story goes as follows, and I produce the complaint letter I wrote to Vodafone through my Vodafone online account. Even though a response was promised within 5 working days, none has materialised to date.

"I would like to complain about the cynical and flippant service offered by the Glasgow Braehead Vodafone store. I was offered a nano SIM to suit my new phone, and was told my service would change over to the new SIM in one hour. 24 hrs later, it hadn't. So I returned to the store as advised by the website chat service, and was given another SIM, and emphatically told that the new SIM would come on stream in 24 hrs. I was also given a mobile number to contact the store should there be problems. Nothing happened. I tried to contact the store many times, only to realise the phone number I was given was effectively unattended. I contacted a chat adviser on Vodafone website, and he took the details of my SIM, and was given a cast iron guarantee it would become operational in 4 hrs. A week later, nothing had happened. Today, I went back to the Braehead store to report the situation. The man who dealt with me twice previously was Steven, and it was he who dealt with me again. He seemed totally puzzled by it all. This time, he used a different method of swapping the SIM.\.\effectively logged on to another web page to do this. 15 minutes later, the SIM had come on stream. When asked why no one had responded to my phone calls, he told me the phone was kept in a cupboard, and pointed to the cupboard. He apologised. At this stage, I felt a formal complaint was in order as clearly I thought Vodafone ought to know about my experience. I asked to speak to the manager. He turned up, and started to employ patronising behaviours and patter.\.\.he patted me on my back, stuck and hand out for a handshake, and sought to know what the problem was. He knew what the problem was, as Steven had repeatedly gone in to confer with him about my situation. The sheer facetiousness of his behaviour was shocking. I asked how I might complain, and he advised me he would type my complaint out into the 'system', pointing out to her terminal screen. At this point, I had had enough, and was unprepared to waste my time over yet another wool gathering round. I have made two needless trips to the store in Braehead from Wemyss Bay (50 mile round trip each time), and I've had a week of disruption to the use of my new phone. I would like to ask you what you are prepared to do to deal with this poor service from Vodafone. On my first trip, I was also sold the Vodafone Broadband service, and the router has now arrived at my home. I am not sure what to expect from that, given my experience to date."

Having read the abysmal reviews here, and the similarity of themes, I am now going to cancel my impending Broadband switch over. Even at half price, this deal is not worth the trouble.

Recently I purchased Vodafone home broadband, and I strongly discourage people from committing the same mistake for the following reasons
    1. Connection keeps breaking intermittently. I could have assumed this happening in first week of connection, but I'm now in second month of contract, yet the line is not stable.
    2. Speed which is promised yet to be experienced. Contract commitment says 31 mbps but I'm yet to touch that mark. Forget 31, I'm not exceeding 20 mbps.
    3. Engineer visit for any troubleshooting the problem is chargeable.

Utterly abysmal. They cold call offering exactly the same speed, and that they will put in a second line, and give you double. They mis sell, tell lies, and fob you off with excuses. The hub wifi is pathetic, it doesn't even reach 12 feet away. Shocking service, shocking speed of 3mbps, when you're promised 13 / 14mbs. And when you complain they are forced to tell the truth. I can't abide liars!!!!!
