Signed up Home Broadband with Vodafone. It is supposed to go live on 13 Sept but didn't happen. After multiple calls with Vodafone, they top me up 50GB on my mobile, so that I can still use hotspot to work with my laptop. Vodafone said the broadband should go live after midnight. Next day still the same, no broadband. Call Vodafone again, the support staff said there was a technical fault on the line that OpenReach needs to resolve and it won't get fixed until 18th Sept!!!! So Vodafone left my family stranded without internet at all for another 5 days!!! The live chat staff ensured me that I can collect a USB mobile dongle from a nearby Vodafone store to plug into my broadband router for the time being.

So I went to a store to collect it. The staff said you can't get it free. They have to put a £20 charge on my account and sign up a new £30 monthly contract for that. Then cancel within 30 days after the broadband is fixed and get a £20 refund back.

Despite endless hours (and many more in the future) of trying to sort it out and none of this is my fault (well, apart from signing with Vodafone Broadband), THEY UPSALE MY PROBLEM.

All the customer service teams were trying to be helpful and polite but there solutions actually bring more hassle.

Since I am going from a normal broadband to fibre which I imagine it requires proper technical upgrade at the exchange box, I would recommend anyone to sign a 12 months fibre contract with the broadband company which actually owns the physical line and then switch to another cheaper fibre provider after that.

I was just after fast, inexpensive 'no frills' broadband and that's exactly what I got. I went for Unlimited Fibre 76.

No hassle, the change over worked when they said it would, nice router. No hassle and day one it was 4 times faster than my old sky instantly getting 65 mbs which I suspect will hit 70+ mbs once its settled in.

At last, a 21st century internet connection at a very reasonable cost.

Never had to call customer service, which is fine by me.

I'm not impressed easily but this has been a great experience (so far!)

Rubbish do not even think about getting these in. Organised setup for 8-9-17, its not 13th and still no internet. They had no problem cancelling my old ISP but getting this one working is not happening. After being on hold for hours (no joking) they try and fob you off with, its Openreach not us. Rang again 2 hours to be told my date has been changed to the 25th, well thanks for updating me on this and you can shove that date. Then was told the 13th is a go and I am so lucky!!! Not really when I should be surfing with a 50Mbps download right now but currently getting 0. I read the bad reviews and still gave them a chance and i'm sure tomorrow when its not working i'll be cancelling and trying Plusnet

I originally had sky broadband 17mb and decided to give Vodafone a try due to their deal on he 38mb broadband with a free £200 gift. I received the router in the post and plugged it in and was told my activation date was the 7/9/17.

Towards the evening on 7/9/18 the service was still not active so I called Vodafone. After waiting an hour I got through and the Vodafone person said just wait until midnight. The next day 8/9/17 I called Vodafone again as the service still wasn't active. I waited again for an hour and got through to someone who said he would need me to reset the router by pressing down the reset button. I did this and then he said it'll work in 30 minutes. Obviously it didn't.

So I again called Vodafone and waited another hour on the phone before being connected. The lady said that I needed to download the Vodafone app on my phone and then id be able to set up the router via the app. She then proceeded to say 'is there anything else I can help you with' at which point I told her that she will need to stay on the phone whilst I download the app as it takes an hour to get through to someone and so far nobody seems to know what they're doing. I then downloaded and opened the app which of course didn't work with my router. The lady on the phone said she will just need to check something and put me on hold. She then came back and said that actually you can't activate the router via the app. So in other words she was about to fob me off again. She then proceeded to set up my router from her end. After she did this she told me my service will be live in 1 hour. So I then waited an hour, and guess what? obviously it didn't work.

So then I called back again and waited again for an hour and finally got through to someone who then actually did activate the broadband.

The broadband was initially fast. I had the 38mb package and was getting speeds of 33mb. Towards the evening the speeds dropped to between 1 and 2 mb. The homepage (which is google) also stopped loading and occasionally all internet services would just stop.

So I called Vodafone who told me to change the channel on the router. I did this and the same problems occurred. That was their only suggestion and they weren't sure what else to do.

My previous broadband was with sky ADSL 17mb and I got 17mb as their router is fantastic. The Vodafone router will just drop off and the worst thing is Vodafone do not allow you to connect your own router.

The only routers they accept to be connected to their broadband are open reach approved routers of which there is a very limited list of very specialist routers costing around £500 each.

Luckily you get a 30 day cooling off period so Ive now cancelled Vodafone. I don't know how I would have coped for 18 months with Vodafone broadband. More than likely I would have had to just pay the early termination charge (which would have been massive) just to get a working broadband service.

Do not touch Vodafone. They are voted the worst company for customer satisfaction for a reason. Ive now moved back to sky who answered my call in just 5 minutes as opposed to Vodafones 1 hour. I'll never make the mistake of moving to Vodafone for any of their services again.

I am on a 78mbps Unlimited Fibre connection since mid of August 2017. I am quite satisfied with Vodafone. The minimum guaranteed download speed for my location is 55.86Mbps, and I have checked actual speed throughout the last week and the speed is consistently coming between 55 to 56 mbps (speedtest.net was used for checking speed). Upload speed is between 17 to 19 mbps. Earlier I was facing problem with Wifi and I contacted Vodafone regarding this at 9 PM, and my problem was quite competently solved by a customer service agent (Amit). The problem was in my computer itself. I wasn't expecting to get in contact with an agent so late at night, let alone getting my problem solved, but I was pleasantly surprised that Vodafone's 24/7 customer service actually works!

im moving again because of slow speed. The misconception that is going around it is the isp to blame for slow speed. It is the line to you're house that is the problem. You may be on 50 year copper that is not fit for purpose be connected other homes via a junction serving homes as well. This was my problem Openreach had to replace all cabling to the house including the underground cable to the cabinet. Result no change whatsoever. BT and Openreach claims of up to 76 Mbps are exaggerated and the companies that supply broadband have a sold a lot of nonsense. Time to force BT to uprade its infrastructure it is not fit for modern fibre use.

Moved to Vodafone 76mb package from BT Infinity 2. BT's obfuscated billing drove me away. Vodafone package is £30/mth for 18 months, no additional line rental - simple! Switchover was seamless. There was a little variation in sync speeds initially, but this has now settled down. I have a slightly slower sync than I was getting with BT, but never any disconnections. I am using the supplied router for DHCP and modem purposes only, everything comes in through a separate wireless access point. Some people have reported that the Vodafone router can't handle more than a few wireless connections - I have had no such issues. I contacted Vodafone customer services via live chat to get my authentication details, which they will provide if you quote an Openreach-approved router that you want to switch to. Now I'm using the Vodafone router as stated, this is no longer required, but good to know you can use your own equipment if preferred. Happy customer so far.

Haven't been able to use my wifi since 7pm tonight , conveniently starts working again bang on midnight. Vodafone have told us on a call that the fault is in our home line but never had an issue before & they never picked up on this 'faulty line' when they checked when selling us this awful service only a month ago. Their solution to this problem? Pay £200 for an engineer to come out & repair the line on a house we don't own and are moving out of in 2 months. They took an hour on the phone to come to this conclusion and we were charged £25 ish for the privilege. So now we are stuck with a line that drops out constantly, runs slowly & are paying for nothing until we move & hope this house doesn't have a 'faulty line' too!
