Having been trying for 3 weeks to get the service connected. BT have checked the line and all OK. Utility Warehouse staff have all been very helpful and polite but cannot resolve the issue. Talk Talk are denying any responsibility and refusing too help - a complete waste of space.

I'm on standard broadband which is averaging about 4-6mbps for ethernet, quite normal for ADSL connections, however on wifi the broadbands atrocious. The speed In the mornings is usually under 1mbps and 2 in the afternoon. The wifi can go down at any given moment. On the rare good days I get 4-5mbps. There are better options out there for broadband.

The internet is decent , however this is the most expensive internet I've ever had in this area . I only went with utility warehouse to test it out as it sounded good with the other packages . But this is just a joke/scam price wise . Avoid !

Our Household have been with UW for nearly 3 years now, and I am not satisfied. They have sorted phone problems a few times, but the bill payers are regularly stung with unexpectedly high bills, which are not itemized or adequately explained. All they can do is promise a temporary reduction, followed by a later Hike in Bills.

The internet is terrible. Regularly freezing and cutting out. Just today we were fitted their shiny new Router, and so far no fewer that two apps on our Smart TV have stopped working. BBC IPlayer won't load at all and ITVPlayer cuts out in the Middle of programmes and won't reload.

All I can assume is that the router cannot cope even with basic streaming. Dread to think what it will be like with Amazon video.

I have spent months working with UW to try and correct an error they made with our Meter readings which resulted in a significant overcharge. They have had numerous opportunities to issue a correct bill but have failed. They have since cut off our mobile and broadband services and threatened to refer us to Debt collection agencies. Due to their error we are now without broadband access as we try and sort out their mess. Great when we work from home! UWs response? If you don't like it go to the Ombudsman - obviously we have! Never been treated so poorly by a Utility company before...

The broadband is pretty appalling. I've struggled for it to work properly even when sat right next to the hub. As for any adjacent rooms well there is no luck. And I live in a small ground floor 2 bed apartment.

Ive had a done a connection scan and it always feeds back with a way below average speed check for home internet. I would just avoid the broadband all together.

When it works it’s fast but it’s so unreliable. When first installed the 2.5 and 5 were combined which meant our security gear which only used 2.5 would not work. That was then separated so we now have the choice. But it was still unreliable and they claimed it was incompatibility with my kit. First it was then wifi extender then my Sonos sound system and then my VPN. It would log on but with no internet connection which was extremely frustrating. So it was all my fault - not recommended.

We were really hopeful of UW and cancelled our reliable broadband, however UW broadband couldn’t get to a second room. When I called they suggested my walls were too thick and sent two boosters out, that didn’t help either. Said it was my issue as signal to router was great, but even a device 2 foot from it dropped in and out. They were good cancelling it and everyone I spoke to was nice, but the actual broadband is shocking.

Well, it seems i'm not alone with the terrible broadband i receive from Futility Warehouse. Six months now, of internet dropping and background static on the landline. Every time i call them its the same conversation. Reset your router, try another handset, we'll send you a new microfilter. I'm sure you are all familiar with it by now. Then, when i say i'm going to another broadband supplier, they hit me with the threat of an £84.00 charge because i signed up for the Gold package. More like old, because that's the service i'm getting, like the bad old days of dial up! Well you know what, hit me with it, because i'm gone. Worst ever!!

Appalling service currently. 0.1 Mb Varias between 0.8Mb at best to nothing! If I lived on the top of a mountain it would be understandable but I am just 4 miles away from a major town in Powys. BT have installed a pole opposite my house with cables already for Fibre-optic broadband but will not connect until July 2017! Broadband is worse now than the old system !

This is by far and away the WORST WiFi I have ever had the displeasure of being connected to, you can’t even watch a simple YouTube video in 480p without it buffering, I could do that with a doddle when YouTube was invented!! It randomly goes on strike every few hours and completely cuts out, absolute disgrace.

Awful internet in terms of speed and reliability, I've had it since Tuesday and at least twice a day it will drop out and say to check the router - despite the router saying the internet is connected. Half the time it can't even load basic gif pictures. Dial up Internet from the 90's/early 00's is faster and better than this. (Not spoken to customer service which is why I ranked it as average). Avoid at all costs

Appalling speeds - today getting 3.61 download. Always on and off. Unreliable in the extreme. Keep trying to get me to upgrade, promised 11 mbps at present, as I say getting 3.61. 4 years of poor service. No problems with distance from router, not a high traffic area. Despite security settings on router, lots of people piggybacking. Change router reluctantly if I pester them.

Broadband problems for months since I switched from BT. Three new routers and two visits from Open Reach and Utility Warehouse are still saying it's not their equipment that's at fault. I've spent days on the 'phone going over and over the same solutions and nothing has worked. I'm buying my own router and will be saying Goodbye to Utility Warehouse

Very poor indeed. Completely unreliable. Internet often just drops out. If I can get through a Zoom meeting without interruption or break in service it's a miracle. Very, very poor. Forget trying to download programs on Sky. Part- recorded, record failure and so on. Stay well clear.

Unreliable broadband provider. Slow and unstable dropping connection constantly. Customer service is decent but unable to resolve issue. Due money back as speeds unable to reach minimum guarantee they provided at the start of the contract.

The customer service was good but the speed, reliability and satisfaction isn’t. We first lost our Wi-Fi randomly, we paid all the bills and the light was still the right colour. However it did not work. It takes forever to turn back on and it randomly cuts out, leaving all of our family without Wi-Fi for a long time. This is very slow and annoying especially for people who need the Wi-Fi to work at home or whatever. I think it would be great if it stopped randomly not working without showing any signs to why and the reliability was a lot more trustworthy.

Broadband is forever cutting out. When you call the customer service team all they suggest is getting a new router every time. If your connection fails between Saturday 16:30 and Monday 7.59 then you're completely buggered because they are closed, no out of hours provided.
We upgraded to ultra last year and no difference than before.

I don't know why but twice a year the phone line gets noisy and the broadband becomes painfully slow. Sometime they send technicians from BT to fix this other times they can fix it from the street distribution boxes.
Overall the broadband connections is very slow anyway with download speed of about 8Mbps and upload speed of about 0.5Mbps. Last time I checked we were in 2017... not 2005.

I have been with Utility Warehouse since 2011,i thought they were good in the first 4 years but the last 2 years they have been rubbish,my monthly bills would average around £26 for homephone and broadband then they went up to £32 and on one month they hit £52 I am only a moderate user and I have long waits to get through on phone and they keep changing there contact phone number,so I e'mailed them and it takes them over a week to reply,i was put on a cheaper line rental and they gave me credit on my next bill proving they had overcharged me,check out this company, they have a lavish state of the art office in London, they regularly treat there staff to lavish parties and give fancy cars away in incentives to staff to enrol sucker customers like me,AVOID,they will drain your bank account, there rip off merchants.

I have been a Utility Warehouse customer for over two years, during that time, I have had many problems with my broadband and phoneline.
Recently, I experienced constant internent drop outs, and phoneline interference, for a period of 3 months. I was constantly told by Utility Warehouse technical support, it was a problem with the internal wiring in the house, as the tests they did on my line were all OK. Eventually, I lost connection of phone and internet completely. I arranged for a BT engineer to investigate, Utility Warehouse would not do this.
The BT engineer came and found two faults on the outside cable leading directly to the house, and detected further problems between that cable and the exchange, which he could not fix. A second BT engineer arrived days later, and in his words, found multiple problems with the connection to the exchange. The BT engineer found no problems on the internal wiring of the house. I was completely without connection and phoneline for a week and a half, I have still not received compensation or refund for the loss of service over two months later.
There was still a problem with the broadband dropping out, this was eventually diagnosed as a faulty router. This was replaced by Utility Warehouse as an exchange unit. The postage of the old unit back to them was paid by me, this was supposed to be refunded, this also still hasn't happened.
For two months, connection was OK, though some internet dropouts were still happening.
Now, just over two months later, I am experiencing the same problems once more, consistent internet dropouts and phoneline noise.
My advice, stear clear of Utility Warehouse broadband service, they are without doubt, the worst internet provider I have experienced, with extremely poor technical support. I am investigating changing to another provider ASAP.

Have just joined Utility Warehouse 3 weeks ago, have had no internet connection since joining up. Could not connect to internet so went through troubleshooting with them, but did not work. They sent me a new router but still does not work. Went through troubleshooting again but still no luck. They have now advised me to take my computer to a computer shop to get it fixed. There is no problem with my computer, I am currently using it at my parents house and can log on to their internet absolutely fine. Plus the computer worked perfectly until I plugged in their router. Am not happy as I have been made redundant and need to use computer to look for a job but cant do anything :(

Since I have Signed to Utility Warehouse, the Broadand internet has been near enough useless. I never had any problems with Sky and wish I hadn't left them. Utility Warehouse staff try and help but it turns out they gave you a useless router when you first sign up, and you need to upgrade it for a better one for a further £50.00 at your own cost. Fibreoptic is not available in our area.
