I joined talktalk in 2016 and as has been mentioned was charged for new router £60.Recently reaching the end of my contract found trying to get a deal the same as new customers would be given extreemly difficult. As with most companies now having call centres based thousands of miles away makes understanding someone on the phone far more difficult than if you were speaking face to face.Having talked with them for a very long time and as other people have said, being passed from person to person saying that they could not confirm anything to me as the "system"was not responding, and i should call back later which i did and guess what after another very long conversation repeating everything that i had said to the previous agent he said the system was down nothing could be confirmed and i should call back later!I have now had more than enough of this nonsense so will continue my search for an ISP with call centre in GB.This will not be easy and they are very competative on price and the new fibre router is a quality product up there with the best of them.

1 week without internet at home and not knowing when it will get sorted. This has caused serious aggravations in terms of time and money to me and my wife as we both work from home.

The service support from Talk Talk has been the worst ever. Not enough staff available, so they never respond the phone and it takes sometimes hours to reply in the chat. The staff does not have any clue and they just repeat always the same protocols and questions ignoring all the precedents.

I have spent all along the week around 12 hours in the chat (not joking) without getting anywhere. The best I have got is the visit of an engineer in 3 days, that will be already 10 days without internet.

Avoid this company, their customer service is ridiculous and cero emphaty with the client

Cheap fix. When things go wrong is it the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. You’re better off paying a bit extra and going with quality and assurance.

This will be a long review, but stick with me.....One day suddenly, I lost internet connection. I called TalkTalk and spent 45 minutes chatting to a lovely lady in South Africa who ran several tests. There was a fault on my line and offered to book an engineer at a time when I would be working and no other time was available, told to call back the next day to book a mutually suitable time. Called again and the tests were run again, but this time it was a network fault, not my line. Told I would be contacted within 72 hours. Called again next day to see where it was up to and the tests were run again, and this time it was my equipment. A new router was ordered, would be here in two days. No router. Called again, and no router had been ordered. Another ordered, but due to the weekend it would be 3/4 days before it arrived. No router. Called again, router had been ordered, but rejected at the warehouse, didn't know why. Router ordered again. No router. Called again, order had been rejected. Given a 'case handler' who would personally sort out this issue. Case handler called to confirm she had ordered the router, but was on holiday now for 5 days. 20 days without internet, still no clue as to what the issue is, still no router, I called called Sky 3 days ago, and all installed and up and running. Think carefully before signing up, the service is woeful

One of the worst service providers i have witnessed in my life!! Switched to them from sky because they were the only fibre providers for my location and things couldnt have gone wronger! First before checking my line was active, they disconnected from sky. Then on my first call with them on the go live date, the mentioned that this is probably because the clock has not turned 12! And thats when my service was supposed to be active! Needless to say, it didnt work the next day for which the subsequent discussion with their executive resulted in a series of standard ( read someone reading a script) checks which confirmed that the problem was within the property and they need to send an engineer. Thr nearest date of the appointment was 2 days later and for which i could not go to work but as this was important, i bregudgingly agreed. Alas, on the day the engineer visited, he quickly confirmed that the fault is not in the property but outside and they need to reach out to BT. Now i amhave been told to wait for another 24-72 hours and see if this works. In a nutshell, please avoid this service as they are really poor! They mention the word compensation for providing money back on the days of service lost! What they should state is this is a re-imbursement for the service not provided and legally they are not even supposed to charge for an inactive service!! Moreover they threatened that i may have break penalty if i chose to switch back to sky! I had to read them their contract and mention that this is not applicable if I provide the cancellation request within a number of days! Therefore, be careful on what yhe customer executive states! They are just repeating the notes to that they can protect their own skin!

Absolutely disgraceful service. Customer service was so bad from beginbing to end. Didn't want the essentials box anymore (which was free to start with) they tried to charge me £100. Then they said they'd wave the fee if I posted the box back. Done that, heard nothing for about 4 months then suddenly I contact them to sort an issue and they tell me they 'never received it' highly convenient. They are now trying to charge me nearly £300 for a breakage fee after telling me when I signed up that the amount I would have to pay was no where near that. I would recommend that no one ever use talk talk. They simply want to take your money and it isn't just me. Couple of people I know have experience bad customer service and money grabbing. NEVER USE TALK TALK

We joined Talk Talk a year ago, for the last 6 months we have had broadband speed below 1mb and quite often only in to the kb. We have spent hours on the phone to them and get no where each time. They never send an engineer, they make us go through the same rigmarole each time. It is painful! The people are generally polite enough but they haven't been given the authority to actually help. You are wasting your breath.
