Absolutely awful. Completely disgusted at their service, always keeps hanging up in the middle of the conversation. Everytime I call, they hang up. Service is so slow, my kids can't even watch a three minute video without stopping it to let it buffer atleast 180 times. Doing their homework on this awful internet is hopeless. Utterly disgusted.

Took out a 24 month contract and regretted it almost immediately, terrible and infuriating communication, and pretty much terrible service throughout.

I cannot (without swearing) give a rating for this company as all ratings would require a negative star rating so go figure !!!!!

Awful. Broadband spped is pitiful - can you believe a upload speed of 300 Kb/s ( yes, I do mean Kilobits ) and download of anywhare between 4 Mb/s and 10 Mb/s ?
Customer services is based in India and some personnel are impossible to understand. They send text messages saying that they will ring at specific time slots and then they don't call.
Absolutely APPALLING. I can't wait for my contract to end so I get some other provider.

I give them 0 ratings for everything coz that's what They deserve.
Got a call a month ago saying "yr internet will go off in 2 hours coz yr internet is being hacked. So follow these instructions on yr laptop, then type in Teamview" ( then they will be able to control my laptop remotely) I cut the call when I realised what they were trying to do. Since then I've been getting these calls every week & I cut the calls while they're still talking. Def terminating my contract.
The WORST customer service I've ever experieced!!!! Very rude and clueless. Does anyone from Talktalk ever read these complaints.
    Stay away from Talktalk.

We’ve been miss-treated through a case of ‘slamming’, multiple phone calls later and accumulating over 6 hours of call time and there is still no response or rectification of the matter, we have logged and documented all the phone calls we have made with no response from your poor customer service team which have hung up on us on two occasions. Both our telephone and internet connection has been cut, our new phone line no longer belongs at our address and we rely on both our phone line and internet connection for our business. We accept that we have been miss-fortunate but the annoying factor is that not one member of the Talk Talk team is willing to help the matter. We have paid our line rental up front for the year as well as paying £11.50 a month which is also up to date so we have absolutely no reason to change provider which is absolutely ludicrous, it has been done without our consent and has caused major inconvenience for our household and our business. If the matter is not immediately rectified we are fully prepared to write numerous letters to Ofcom and take the matter further, we will also use various social media channels to make others aware. This is by far the worst case of customer service we have both witnessed. We have spoken to the occupants who now ‘obtain’ our house number and they stress it is extremely inconvenient for themselves.

All we ask is to be re-connected to our phone line and internet and to speak to someone that is actually willing to help. I will say again, we have not changed service provider and have been miss-treated, it is definitely a case of ‘slamming’, somebody somewhere has made an error. A comprehensive response would be much appreciated.

Disgusting customer service.Managers that lie to you,dis connect the call on purpose,no help with signal dropping out all the time.
I waited a full month after a talk talk engineer diagnosed a fault on my line.
No help whatsoever and after all the lies told to me by this company I urge everyone to boycott this scum of a company, never spoke to the same fault manager after ringing daily for a full month. They will tell you anything from pre scripted lines drilled into them.................JOIN AT YOUR PERIL !!!

So awful. Used the online chat to register for broadband and the advisor couldn't keep information straight. I'd ask a question and get one answer which meant I was happy to proceed then later in the conversation they'd go back and say that the earlier answer was completely wrong and act like they had no clue where I'd gotten the information from even though you could scroll back up and see the whole chat. The advisor that day said I would receive a confirmation email and a second email to set up a password for my online account within 48 hours. Then that a welcome pack would arrive within 3-5 days. Been over 4 days now and the only email I've had is an automatic one with direct debit terms and conditions. Speaking to another advisor by online chat and all previous information was wrong, no apologies just the attitude that obliviously I shouldn't be complaining about not having received anything yet. This advisor says they won't look into why I haven't had a confirmation email until its been 6 days (much more then the 24-48 hours advised before) and that the online account can't be activated until the broadband is live so at least 2 weeks once I've received my router in the post etc. Last advisor has said I could use my online account to track the order but apparently I can't access it until the order is already delivered and the service active. In the same conversation with the same advisor I've given 3 different dates for when the same service would be available, completely insane that these people are meant to be providing information and are able to sign you up for services. God knows what I've actually been signed up for and whether it is what I agreed to. No idea how long the welcome pack with all terms and conditions is going to take to come. Given your ability to change your mind about the service without incurring costs is dependent on doing so before the service activates it seems like they are trying to hide the terms and conditions long enough to stop them being reviewed before charges start. Just been told that there is no error or issue despite the fact they have 'sent' an email to the correct email address but it has not arrived to my inbox, spam etc. and obviously based on this success I should have complete confidence that the welcome pack will arrive. And been told its just something that sometimes happens, not all customers receive the confirmation emails despite them showing as sent their side? If it wasn't such a well known name I'd think the whole thing was a scam and be calling the bank/canceling the payment card because the whole thing is run so awfully

Problems from day one. Very slow speed and constantly drops off and cuts out altogether. After one review they called me and promised to fix but never called back on the date promised and never fixed issue. I want out of contract as I have had enough. Spoils my movies and can't play games as too slow.
Never sign up. I would not even if it were free

Don't touch them, sorry I left BT.I had phone only and added Broadband. Received letter 29th Dec advising changes would be no longer free calls to 0845 or 0870 or Voicemail. Received Bill Jan £63.50, £44.62 for calls! She said because I wasn't advised I no longer get free calls would knock £20 off. If I want free calls will have to take TV package,no way. Now I have to pay £7.50 per month for free calls. My friend has same package as me, Simply Broadband, and pays £29 odd per month with free calls, I will be paying over £36 for same package. If I want to cancel contract it will cost me £150. Don't touch them they are liars and con merchants. Been on to Trading Standards to see if they can help me.

Where do i begin ... Took out TalkTalk in May 2016, from being with Sky for 6 Years only changed due to increase in cost with Sky.
Took over 3 weeks to be upgrade to Fibre from Broadband was told several different reasons why it was taking so long ie my line wasnt compatible (althought we used the same line as sky and that was fibre) - there was a bug in the system to wouldnt allow us to have fibre as it wasnt available although it was available the day we took out broadband. TV couldnt be installed on the day of appointment as there was a problem with our aerial so we re arranged the engineer didnt show up. Complained to Customer services after two weeks or going round in circles I escalted my complaint to the CEO office were I was given a result - fibre was installed 10-15 days later approx - the TV box turned up finally. However we are supposed to have 30mb we are lucky if we have 10mb and upload well thats none exsistant. The TV box has now started freezing .. I have tried to cancel several times but get no where and the cost increased as the contract goes on, surely this should be the other way around. I now have escalted to Ombudsman and its under investigation...

I moved to a new apartment and I have NOT been able to connect to the Internet since 11/12/23, I correspond in WhatSAPP, Messenger and with the manager on the TalkTalk website, as a result I remain without the Internet until January 3. Even though I don't use the Internet, I continue to pay the bill. I am sure that at the end of the contract I will change to another provider!
I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!

Omg I advise anyone looking on here deciding whether or not to join talk talk not to do it !!! I joined 16 months ago and have never been as stressed in my life. From the beginning it was so bad, buffering constantly to the point where I had no Wi-Fi at all. This went on for the whole 16 months to the point where I literally had about 1 hour a night when I got in from work. I rang so many times and got no where every time " let's go through these checks

Absolutely Awful.if i could leave zilch stars i would. One is too worthy. Dont know where to start but overall I have had the same issues as many others. Signed us up to the wrong deal, charging more than we asked. Raised a complaint . Broadband constantly dropped out and very slow like dial up days slow. Took the opportunity of a pay increase for the amazing service to leave, spent ages on chat as i didnt want to spend hours arguing why we wanted to leave, got offered a new price but as I didnt reply within one min ( and I mean one min) they ended the chat!!! So tried again, repeated no close my account about 20 times ( i have the printed transcripts to prove this ) got final bill, paid said final bill. Had no internet ( which is no worse than what we had) for a month waiting to change to sky and now recieved a normal monthly bill for Dec from talk talk !! Seriously stay away

My neighbours use talktalk with no problems. Offer was good and since I'm a pensioner it was good to secure the price for24 months.
BUT OMG. Customer services were appalling. Initial phone call by me was useless with foreign call centre not understanding and speaking far to fast. Even when i asked "kim" to slow down. I said i didn't wish to proceed. This was ignored. I kept repeating. Please do not proceed. No thank you. Cancel. Kim would not take no for an answer. I hung up.
Kim's boss immediately rang me. Trying without listening to me to obtain my bank account details. I refused. I said don't want your broadband. I kept on in this manner but i was just spoken over. I repeated that i was a pensioner as the manager was getting very insistent.
I told her that since she had rung me that i would not give her my bank account details. She then got very threatening. Tried not only to tell me that since she had run a credit check against my name then she had a right to my bank account details. She then said that if i did proceed with the order i would have a black mark on my credit history and this would go against me in the future.
I cut off the call. She rang back. She repeated the above. I cut off the call. She rang again. I rejected call and blocked the number.
I'm worried for others with tactics like these. Would other people be scared into signing up by the threats.
I don't know how my neighbours cope. The would be savings are not worth it. Still wondering if it was talk talk or a scammer because woman became very threatening. Did "kim" just pass on my details. Stay away unless you like abusive phone calls.

Change your direct debts tell u one price n take a lot more! Customer services wouldn't even bother! A £22.90 a mth package has left me in 400 debt all because customer service didn't understand me asking to set a a direct debt up"! So now app I owe 3 mths which is 165! Yes 165 that's on a 22.90 package not got a levels in mths but by my adding up should only be 68.70 ! I explained I had rung serval times to set direct debt up and they'll have records as all calls are recorded for training. Nobody on customer service speaks or understands English .this isn't my fault !I have arranged to pay 30 a mth off the bill off 165, plus 24.90 for the package.Been told unless I pay the bill off they will be no service! So I said I want to cancel the 2 year contract as they miss sold me it in first place.can do that but I have to pay 369.48! So either way I get a massive bill n they'll be cutting my package. Fuming isn't the word! I have put a complaint in to talk talk. Am also writing to the ombudsman.

My contract with TalkTalk after 2yrs has ended, I have notified them within the 30 day period at least 9xtimes, they have totally ignored me, and I wonder why. Yes I was right, they responded on the phone by telling me I was in a new 2yr contract because I fail to notify them. Recently I phoned again to confirm the end of my contract, as soon as I mention it they cut me off 3times. Still Im off to the states for 3yrs. bye UK and BYe Talktalk, you are a con and your customer service is the worst.

I ordered a free broadband package with telephone in september 15 online, they were quick enough to set up a direct debit in hours but unfortunately no letter ot router appeared after two weeks, I rang and after being put on hold for what seemed to be an eternity I eventually managed to speak to someone who reassured me it was on its way, I waited another week then they rang me to ask if I was enjoying my broadband. At this point after receiving nothing but a direct debit set up by me I decided enough was enough and I told the man on the other end of the phone to cancel my order. I should have learned by my mistake as I had talk talk a few years ago and had lots of problems with them . No stars at all

This is Talktalk: they call you to tell you you've cancelled your direct debit. When you query this with your bank, they tell you that in fact Talktalk have set you up with TWO direct debits. So you cancel one. But it's too late - Talktalk have already taken two lots if money from your account and then also had the audacity to charge you a cancellation fee for cancelling the extra debit they set up!! Then they deny it all and say the bank must have set up two people with my account details. The bank do not, and cannot, set up a direct debit for you - they told me Talktalk did it, but without my permission.

You can't complain to Talktalk as they don't understand and don't care. When I had technical difficulties, the person who picked up did not understand the word engineer. Literally.

    Hi,

Been with TalkTalk for a while now and I can confidently say that this by far the worst ISP in the UK. I could wrap a plate in tin foil and stick a fork in it and get better service than TalkTalk does.

I would rate it less than 1 stars if I could.

I was with TalkTalk, they signed me up to a contract they could not fulfill, min Fibre broadband speed on the contract was more than the line could actually provide, lived with bad speeds then managed to agree to cancel the contract for the broadband only, so I thought, they have now ceased my landline without any notification, I have had my phone number now for 25 years and the property has had the number for over 60 years, yet after 5 months of TalkTalk they have now 'lost' the number after ceasing it yesterday, even though they never once advised me of this and I told them I wanted to retain the number and another provider was going to take it over, they must be the worst provider ever, their Customer Service is useless beyond belief, they get no rating at all because they are so incompetent and useless. Now I have to speak to the Ombudsmen to try and see what can be done but I believe I have now lost my number. Never ever use TalkTalk, how this company manages to stay in business is beyond me.

Avoid this company like the plague!! Worse service I've ever had from any company in my life! Call centre agents hardly understand English took them 6 months and probably over 100 phone calls to sort out my internet problems, after fighting for compensation all I got was 3 months free internet!!! When I told them that is ridiculous and demanded to end their services they told me I would have to pay the remainder of the 18 months contract plus pay for the TV box they were happy and sarcastic while they were telling me how much I had to pay! I was completely infuriated!!! I then moved home and was told I had to start all my contracts over again because of the move!!!! I've had no choice but to start all over with a company who are dishonest! Terrible service and don't really care! And don't understand the english language!

Terrible customer services, had to keep ringing them because the call keeps getting cut off when on hold and once I finally got through my call was cancelled half way and then on another day I was told the systems are down and asked to call back later. When I called back the customer services people did not seem at all bothered and unhelpful; keeps taking you around in loops.
The internet speed wasn’t great either, kept disconnecting from my laptop. I would strongly discourage anyone from using them.

Talk Talk?! More like No Talk. Their customer service is the worst thing in the entire technological world. I was promised a call back from an advisor within a few minutes because her computer was being slow. I waited 30 mins for a call back. Rand the helpline again; the second advisor dropped the call! The third advisor then treated my entire query like it was brand new and started asking me the same questions, to perform the same tests I had done ten times over! I then got so frustrated that I demanded to speak to the manager. Who turned out to be worse than the advisors! Her tone of voice/attitude/lack of professionalism/lack of empathy left a lot to be desired. She treated our case like she was the one doing us a favour! She then resorted to booking an engineers appointment. At which point I said “if this doesn’t fix the issue then I would like to cancel my contract” - to which she replied “so shall I cancel your engineers appointment then?”

TALK TALK customer service is SHOCKING.
    Their WIFI is slow.
    Their response time is slow.
Their communication skills are non existent.
    They steal from you.
They talk to you like they’re the ones who are the aggrieved.
    WASTE OF MONEY.
    NEVER GO WITH TALK TALK

Finally got through to customer serviceis where I logged a complaint. And all I got was a “I’m really sorry this happened we will do our best to make sure it doesn’t happen again”.

My Mother is 87 years old and lives alone. Her means of communication with us and the outside world is her telephone. All she wanted was the Talktalk TV box. This needed the installation of a new router which once installed resulted in her not being able to receive calls ( for some bizarre reason her phone number had been changed). My Mother called every day to try to get the problem resolved, spoke to a different person each time, sometimes for several hours, and absolutely nothing was done. After several days of this I thought I would call in to try resolve the situation. The first person I spoke to refused to help me because I didn't know the password to the account ( neither does my mother!). After that I asked to speak to someone who would help and did manage to speak to someone, but again nothing was done. Rather than call again I sent an email, explaining in depth the problem, providing the account details, the telephone number and the number it had apparently been changed to. The reply I got was an email asking for the details I had just provided. This happened on another two occasions until I finally got a call from someone who said they would help. By now my mother had received a 'sorry you're leaving' letter and had been completely cut off. She spent a whole day waiting to hear from someone who said they would call back, but how could they when the phone line was dead? She spent two weeks without a phone when all she wanted was a TV box.
Since then I have received a call from the 'CEO's' office wishing to discuss the problem. As I can't provide the password they require ( the one my mother doesn't even know) they refuse to discuss the matter further. If I wasn't so angry about the whole experience it would be laughable. Who is running the show? A bunch of clowns I suspect.
I have informed them however that I've spoken to the Consumer Ombudsman and been in contact with Watchdog.

STAY CLEAR!!! terrible customer service. Call centres are full of foriegners, complete breakdown in communication every time you have a problem. We pay over £50 a month for TV, Phone and 38MB broadband, the broadband speeds were 38MB for the first month then quickly dropped to bellow 20mb. Forever seeing engineers out to our property and now they want to charge us £65 for a line repair that was installed less than a year ago! We are locked into contract until October otherwise we would cancel. Do yourself a favour and pay the extra £5 a month for BT themselves. Exact same package better service.

I have been spoken to like rubbish on the phone from a 'manager' as I was complaining about my bill as I'm contracted to £20.95 a month and my bill was £110, I then asked why and then they told me it was because an engineer came out and I was charged for although when I asked the engineer he said i wouldn't be.
Have nothing but problems with the company including there service phone/TV and broadband!

Having signed a years contract with Talk talk, I realised they were all talk talk, 3 or 4 hours on the phone is about average, talking to senior management is like trying to get an audience with the Pope, my contact was £23 20p this gave me broadband and unlimited calls to land lines and mobiles,i got this package for loyalty through 17 years with AOL, Carphone Warehouse, and then Talk talk, all were one in the same, that £23 20p has rose to £24 7p, so much for the capped contract with no rises for an 18 month contract, I would only take 12 months, they agreed as I was a long standing customer, then the boost I never asked for but was given free, it isn't, but I am like Goliath with them, they lie like there is no tomorrow, I keep tripping them up with there regular porkies, and the language problems are terrible, it is like talking to a Dalek, there favourite saying is "see your vendor", my Vendor lives around the corner, lol, so my comp is well up and hard wired. they make things up as they go along, they are bigger liars than our Politicians, and they are all Managers, I sussed that out long ago, they tell you to hang on, then that mindless music makes you feel like commiting suicide, then they want to know the far end of a fart, any slip ups and the dialing tone comes on, I have been screaming like a banshee at time, if I could get my hand through that phone I would strangle them, have you noticed they apologise for everything, even though I am screaming like a mad man, it is so frustrating, after 2 hours I am heading for a heart attack and still they apologise, if you value your health, do not join this Company, it could end your life.

The most stressful experience we have ever had with any company. Difficulties drag on for months. Have left for Plusnet.I would not recommend this company to anyone.Customer services are abysmal.
