    Cannot even rate this company, sadly have been with them for years!When i went with Talk Talk it was for broadband and telephone line, when fitted it tuyrned out that i cannot use my phone at the same time as my broadband due to terrible interference. I contacted Talk Talk only within a couple of days only to be told its not the broadband but my telephone line and that i would need to call an engineer out which would cost me!! Funny that everything was okay prior to having Talk Talk!! Also trying to get through to them was a complete nightmare. I cannot use the two together which i actually pay for. STAY AWAY from TALK TALK they are an awful company to deal with!!!!

    Absolute rubbish , also worst customer service ever. Sooner we can leave talk talk the better. I would give a big zero for all aspects of the service and would certainly not recommend them to anyone.

    The worst service ever!!!!
    Since I've joined them I've had to call them at least 5-6 times every month sometimes more because of the dreadful Wi-Fi connection. The connection keeps connecting and disconnecting, there's not a single day where I don't have problem with the Wi-Fi. I need to restart the router everyday just to make it work. On top of that the speed is extremely slow. When I call them because of the problems I experience they make me go through the same process every time which doesn't fix anything at all. I end up having the same problem again after a few hours. I was on an 18 month contract so when I told them that I want to leave them before the end of the contract they told me I have to pay a cancellation fee of over £200. They then sent an engineer in who just wasted our time and did not fix the problem at all. After arguing back on forth on the phone they finally agreed that I could cut of the service if they could not fix it within 28 days, So now finally I am leaving their service and joining a more trustworthy and better service. However, now that they know that I am leaving them it seems that they're giving me even worse service. Take heed from my experience with TALKTALK and NEVER EVER join this revolting service!!!!

    BEWARE!!! I was a customer with TalkTalk from 2010 to 2015 using their broadband and telephone package.
    During this period, I was an extremely good customer, who always paid my bill of approximately £25 on time via direct debit.
    In September/October of 2014 after chatting to another customer who advised me that she had been awarded a free YourView box (for being a good customer) which can record and provide on demand etc, I decided to contact TalkTalk to ask if I could have the same deal as I had also been a good customer.
    On speaking with a member of the sales team I was advised that unfortunately I was not eligible for the free YourView box however I could have it for an extra cost of £10 per month and they would have to send me a new router for free as the one I have would not be strong enough. There was nothing wrong with my current router but obviously I was taking their expert advice. I was told I would have these 2 new items and be up and running within 1 week.
    The new router eventually arrived some days after the expected date and then I had to wait some more days for an engineer to attend which caused a great inconvenience.
    2 weeks then passed and no YourView box or any updates regarding the box or apologies sent to me. Every time I called I was met with unprofessional, inexperienced staff that did not seem to know what I was talking about and just kept advising that the box came from another company therefore it was nothing to do with them. I asked if I could just cancel it and they said no I should just wait for it.
    3 weeks passed and still no YourView box. I then received my November bill and was shocked to discover that TalkTalk planned to take £45 out of my account when my bill has never been any higher than £25 as I only ever used the calls when I was home during the free period of evening and weekends. I was being charged for the YourView box I hadn’t received and for the new router I hadn’t requested or required.
    I called TalkTalk immediately as they never reply to emails via contact us on their website. I advised them that this was a terrible way to treat customers and was spoken to in the most rude, impolite and professional way. They told me that it was not their fault that I had not received the box and that I should still pay. I advised that I had cancelled my standing order due to monies being charged that I did not owe but would happily make a debit card payment over the phone for the amount of my original broadband and telephone package. This offer was refused and I was told if I didn’t like it I should go to another provider. I then followed this instruction and contacted Sky who were appalled at the way I had been treated by TalkTalk.
    Over the next couple of weeks I made numerous calls to TalkTalk asking to speak to managers, the MD and so forth. I also asked numerous times if I could pay my original payment for telephone and broadband package. All of my requests were refused. I also made it clear to TalkTalk that I was disgusted with the way I had been treated after always being a good customer and always paying on time and that I would be cancelling my contract free of charge as TalkTalk had breached their agreement. All I was told was ‘fine’.
    They also said that I should pay for the new router but I was told this would be free as it would be needed for the YourView box to work. I didn’t request the new router, nor did I need it and I asked numerous times how I should return it but was not provided with an answer.
    I was then harassed by TalkTalk and the credit referencing agencies that were appointed by TalkTalk. Due to busy work commitments I found that making an appointment with Citizens Advice etc or a lawyer was difficult. This has caused me great upset and stress and I feel that TalkTalk are bullies who are only out to con people and provide a poor service. I originally chose them as they came up as best value on a compare site but had I looked through their company reviews beforehand I would not have proceeded with them at all.
    I am currently pregnant and will be looking to move out of my small 1 bedroom flat and purchasing a larger 2 bedroom flat. I carried out a credit check with Equifax and was horrified to see that my credit history is poor all because of TalkTalk. All my other payments to other companies are all great, paid on time etc and I have no idea how I’m going to rectify this. I will have to seek legal advice which is a huge stress and strain during what should be a happy time. I think it’s therefore safe to say that TalkTalk can actually ruin your life.

    I've spoken to 6 different people to say I don't have wifi and I was told a new router was getting sent out in 3-5 days that was 3 week ago and then I recieved a bill for a service I want even receiving total joke of a company

    I am on Talk Talk's basic broadband and phone package.

    When I first phoned them to find out how much the monthly costs were, their indian sales staff lied by giving me a much lower quote than the actual broadband costs. I signed up, thinking I was getting a bargain.

    When I found out a month later that the bills were higher than the figures they quoted, I phoned them but was basically told it was tough luck and fobbed off.

    The broadband has been generally slow - almost unfit for purpose. Some days nearly non-existant. On the best days, it can just about play HD video, but buffers a lot. Websites take ages to refresh and there is a general inconsistency in the speed from day to day. Extremely poor, overall.

    Last month they charged me premium rates for calls which should be charged at UK standard landline rate - without informing me. This drove up my landline bill considerably, taking it into arrears. They ended up cutting off my phone so I could not make outgoing calls.

    This, in turn put my account in considerable arrears and a couple of weeks later they cut off my broadband and demanded I pay my arrears in full before reconnecting me.

    This company is disgusting. Nothing they say can be trusted. No doubt all their customers feel the same way and are jumping ship. So Talk Talk are obviously clawing as much money from their few existing customers as they can... By creating extortionate charges and fleecing customers while they still can before they go bust.

    I will be cancelling all Talk Talk services as soon as possible.

    This company has no idea how to conduct business in civilised society. The sooner they die a death, the better for all of us.

    Avoid at all costs. Dont be fooled by low prices. Complete disaster, my worst customer experience ever. Order cancelled 3 times due to incompetent staff. Mis-informed and arrogant customer service advisers. had my land line cut off for over 1 month and ended up with a £100 mobile phone bill after having to repeatedly call talk talk to try and rectify.... AVOID AVOID AVOID

    Broadband continually cuts out, had a new socket fitted, new router, engineer reset system which recovered my speed. 1 week later- broadband continually cuts out blah blah, spend yet another hour on phone while they say no fault- just utter rubbish.

    I was a victim of identity theft and every person i spoke to from talk talk told me it is impossible for anyone to do this against me, they are the most useless weasels i have ever come across in my life. There customer service leave you on the line for hours on end. I will never ever voluntarily use TALK TALK, DO NOT USE THEM, TERRIBLE SERVICE. Hours and hours of wasted time on hold!!!!!!!!

    No rating from me worst customer services anywhere great when they want to sell you something. I have not even gone to the go live date and sent my modem back and stayed with my current broadband provider. Avoid talk talk like a rash they get everything wrong and the customer services are just a joke you never get answers to your questions passed from one adviser to another I lost the plot the other day with them as it gets beyond frustrating dealing with scripted idiots AVOID AVOID.

    Can't rate this service nor do I intend to. This lot are basically a bunch of liars! Told my husband that an engineer would call on the 4th January, two weeks after we reported the fault. We rang every day as the broadband kept dropping out to be told yesterday that there was no engineer appointment booked.... Only to be told today that there is and engineer booked for the 4th..... So frustrating. Very very unhappy and will never recommend this service to anyone. Have now switched service provider......

    I am absolutely disgusted with Talk Talk. I have been a customer for several years. The broadband lately has been dropping in and out, the tv box keeps losing signal and my pin number never works for fils etc. I have tried calling on numerous occasions with no help whatsoever. One individual even suggested unscrewing the phone box with a knife when I said I didn't have a screwdriver to fit. I have now cancelled and gone elsewhere only to find they have invoiced me for a further 1 month in advance even though they know I have cancelled my contract and they have disconnected it. They said I had to pay and then apply for a refund...this is not happening, I would never get the refund as their customer services is awful. Would never use them again. If I could give minus for review It would all be -10

    I would avoid using talktalk fullstop. I am a brand new full fibre customer (since 13 Jan) who was promised upwards of 150 mbps, which was achieved the first day I switched so is achieveable. Since then I have been unable to work from home 3 mornings and not had Internet at least 5 evenings (in a matter of weeks). When I am lucky enough to actually get Internet is has been as low as 20mbps.

    I then have the pleasure of having to spend well over an hour EVERY TIME I call (and this is only because I have now worked out what I have to do to be given the privilege of getting through to a human) with a 'technical support team' who's skills don't go any further than the script they are reading from. You get asked the same questions multiple times (that you have already answered) because of their script and their lack of training, knowledge and ability to understand the issues and what is being explained. When I have asked to speak to a manager, I get told I have to go through these checks again first and give yet another hour of my time to get absolutely nowhere. Disgraceful doesn't even cover it.

    Can not stress enough how terrible this company is! If they try and push for you to join them, close the door! They lyed to me about my leaving fee with my current provider and made it so difficult to cancel my order with them all they caused me was stress! When I tried multiple times to get through to the complaints team I was left on hold for over 30 mins untill the eventually put the phone down on me! So so rude and terrible customer service.

    Diabolical company , cant get the simplest thing right .cant even communicate with them properly . starts off looking cheaper than other companies but you can be assured you end up paying far more in the end ,they scam you and take money from your account and if you try and query it you get nowhere re the communication problem absolutely appalling stay well clear ,they are infuriating i am reporting them to ofcom .

    Absolute disgrace. I have been with talk talk for 3 years on my home phone and broadband. applied 8 weeks ago for new broadband line in garage conversion we have - simple so one would think !!!!- your couldnt' be more wrong. The frustration, countless calls, and total incompetence of talktalk customer services beggars belief. Simple task which i informed them from the start of the order was that BT Openreach had to do a survey before they could even put a line in. Time after time after time, they totally ignored this with poor communication, lack of response and understanding. The sooner they move their call centre operation back on the UK shores the better - at least we have escalation process and standards that deals with this type of thing and i'm sure it would not have resulted in the pain and agony i went through. In the end after arguments for non-deliver and breach of their contract to me - i cancelled the same after threatening to take legally if i needed too and knowing all calls are recorded they admitted they had far from delivered anything but agony to me. They agreed in the end and now im off to place a brand new order with a UK based operation. At the end of my other Home contract - they will loose this custom too - so from what should have been an easy additional broadband line they have now lost my customer for good - i don't care how cheap they make their prices - their operation is a disgrace and for me Dido Harding couldn't run a few meters never mind a company - STAY CLEAR, STAY AWAY, AND KEEP YOURSELF SANE! - a true review from an honest ex-customer.

    Our broadband is terrible. Very weak and unreliable. It just keeps cutting out and disconnecting . We changed from BT to Talk Talk thinking it may improve but it made no difference.

    It's a pity you have to put any rating to get on here. They don't deserve any. I am not a racist, and this is not a racist comment. But why would someone sitting in India care what someone in the UK thinks about them. The most unless bunch of miss fits I have had the misfortune to cross paths with. Internet been none existent from day one. The joys of waiting 50 minutes to chat to someone on your mobile network, to then be told , " I am passing you on please wait" and that's it, no can I pass you on, just wackenhut you are now in another question. I suppose their thinking is " This will get a few to hang up" They fail to fix problem and then tell you even though you have paid 2 months for no service, you have to give us 30 notice and pay us another months money. I go on chat under partners name, as it's done in her name. On one occasion I had one of them hitting on me.
    If you are reading reviews because you are thinking about joining talktalk. Run away, they are conveniently just taking your money and giving you nothing in return. They seem to be spending our money on sponsoring x factor. I can see why, their craft to. Run away

    Stay well clear. Been a customer for years and got steady worse. After many, many calls and about 5 engineers later I've finally moving to Virgin Actually I could do the call centre job from memory 1. how can I help you 2. we need to do a test 3 you are getting the correct speed for your area 5. we have to check your line please hang up and ring back from your mobile on this number ********** (you ring back) 6 your line is fine 7 we will send an engineer but may charge you £50 8. engineer comes out and everything is fine and he leaves 9 Start back at process 1 ....The last straw was being told to pay extra money for fiber and I'd be sure to get internet connection .....ermmm sorry is that not what I already pay for every month ????

    We are on our third wireless box in three months, total crap when you get in touch with talk talk they Palm you off with a load of guff. Our internet has just about given up with this lot and they do not seem to care about customer relations. It would help if the person you speak to spoke English, we have 18 months left on the contract and can't wait to get rid of these wasters.

    It's now March of 2022 ,and this is to anyone who is remotely considering choosing talk talk as a Internet service provider ,I've been with them for 18 months and the Internet connection has been lost and can take over an hour till reconnects at least twice a day customer service is as much use as a chocolate tea pot

    This service is basically rubbish, I purchased the faster broadband in January and since I plugged the box in the broadband speed overall has been so poor! I have rang the talk talk team on numberous occasions and explained I am paying for something that doesn't work to which I get we are dealing with your problem! I then inform them I can't answer my phone at certain times in the day due to my work and they ring me the times I ask not too, and because I haven't answered they've assumed my problem has been fixed and close the case! They don't listen, they don't communicate, they don't care! They won't compensate because yeh problem hasn't been fixed! They rang my ex roommate and asked how the broadband was and with her not living there she couldn't comment to which they said they would call me, and didn't! Again case was closed! I am disgusted how talk talk treat customers and don't resolve the issues and problems! Do not join with them!!!!

    Hi, I am not happy with service you provide, as then would like to terminate the contract with you. I have waited a month for the engineer to come to install the wifi which he didn't for some reasons and said we will send another engineer soon but it is been 2 week no one said anything. It is not even worth 1 start, wouldn't recommend for anyone, very poor

    Save your money. Don't use them. Daylight robbery. Punitive termination fees £61, below the average customer service, below the UK legal requirements broadband speed- only 5.6Mbps for a updated contract which guarantees 35Mbps. Incompetent. Greedy. Firm.

    I haven not had any internet service for 3 months and despite numerous emails to the company no response had been made to let me know what attempts are being made to rectify the situation, This company is the worst and i do not recommend this company to anyone DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

    Rubbish never got coneted yet they billed me for 145 then I rang them up loads of times even to cancel it which I done in the 30 days now I have changed provider but talk talk billed me 48 which I never had it contacted they were rude on the phone which was costing me more money from my mobile they said why didn't use the landline I said I told you that I've never been connected what a joke

Customer services is abroad they also feel it is extremely important they not only Lie to you and even have people sit and wait in for Open Reach engerniers to not only give direct information to Open Reach they keep you on phone pretending they our dealing with your account . Open Rent need to look at this company.

    Absolutely not happy with the service.Extremely slow Internet , not able to watch online TV from laptop,problems with the TV box ; the problems started immediately after the 20 days free cancellation period finished.When i called to ask why Internet so slow I was offered another 28 pounds to pay to increase the speed for Internet , as well as the tax what I pay for the package. I wouldn't recommend and would not continue with this company anymore. Just waiting my contract to finish.

    Absolutely disgusting. I don't have words to describe the company. Not going into details but I have never in my life had to deal with such a bad service. I never expect a lot and happy person with anything but this company is going beyond disgusting.
