    Utterly woeful service.

For the past 4 months their WiFi goes off around 6 times a day.

Nobody is interested in trying to resolve the issue.

3 engineer visits have been arranged yet no sign of them - causing us to wait in for 4 hours at a time.

    Promised calls are not made.

Ridiculous suggestions have been made for the reason for the outage, such as my Apple Watch - despite it being 200 miles away.

We’re consistently unable to watch streaming channels, and both my children’s exam revision has been significantly disrupted, along with a negative impact on my ability to work at home.

Undoubtedly the worst consumer experience of my life.

Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy wasting time chasing them to fix problems

0 Star, Broadband cuts out every 10 mins and the customer service is just as bad they keep you on the line for hours and then tell you they can no find any fault with the line, asked them to send a engineer out they said it will be a £50 charge.

    AVOID TALK TALK

This is my rating for moving house and staying with Talktalk!!! As you can see, I do not rate them. I have been waiting over a month to have a connection. We waited for an engineer but had a text to say the account is cancelled. This was on the day the engineer was due. I had to phone up Talktalk to find out why, I was passed to at least five departments none of whom could explain properly. I was put on hold and messed around and the call had to last 1hr 20 mins before I got told that it would be connected at the end of Feb16. Still no guarantee this would be up and running properly. A waste of space and the worst customer service I have ever come across!!!!!

Agreed to switch from virgin media to talk talk. Took 2hour on the phone at the time. A date was set but the engineer did not turn up. I got a text to say that I was now a talk talk customer. To cut a long story short. The engineer never switched, inspite of my frequent calls, they kept telling me that there was no problem. Finally after weeks an engineer from talk talk came out and told me what I knew, that my line had not been switched from virgin media. Ringing talk talk is harrowing as you have to start from the beginning each time and are put through various departments and have to start explains yourself over and over again. Each call can take 1-2 hours at least. And talk talk is still billing me even though I am not their customer. There is no star rating for them. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

I cannot even rate this company as it is so bad, i Wanted to write this review to safe anyone ellse having to go though the suffering we had to go through using this company.
It’s cheap but not worth the troubles. The customer service is the main problem it was so bad that we canceled using the. Company. Over 6 hrs on the phone trying to resolve issue. Very unprofessional the staff who are superficially polite but never resolve the issues simple , everything turns into fiascos, waisting so much valuable time .

absolutely useless, inept, rubbish, shambolic. I've had phone calls to their 'customer services' that should have been shown as a Monty Python sketch. Undecided if I should laugh or cry but definitely think they should be avoided.

If you wish to have your internet service constantly cut off and have to speak to rude and unhelpful call centre staff (when and if you actually ever get through to them) then talk talk is the provider for you. Not even worth a one star rating.

First month. Abysmal. I do not use land line or free view, just wanted decent broadband for work.

I'd get better wifi connection on a bus. Constantly dips out and when it doesn't it's unbearably slow, the staff just read scripts saying everything is fine or try to "upgrade" your account for more money but no guarantee of better service.

Waste of time. Waste of money. Waste of energy.

Things stated off fine but after a few months the dropouts started until it became so bad I phoned customer services. The worst service I've encountered, passed from one department to the other, all trying to blame my equipment. They even sent an engineer to check my gear for the cause of the problem, but all was ok.
Have terminated my contract at no cost thank heavens and am in the process of changing my ISP.
The worst provider I've ever encountered. Stay well away.

Absolute shambles. This company is a joke. Takes you forever to get a connection with a adviser. Couple of times they just have up and put the phone down. Connection is slow! Just altogether a really awful service. Would not recommend to anyone. Oh and to top it off with all the issues, a multi million pound company could only offer £5 voucher against a bill. I mean really!

DON'T DO IT!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
I have recently moved house and upgraded my package where I recieved a quote for £31.65/month. The calls have been recorded and the package has been confirmed by the agent. After setting up everything the agreed package were not supplied. The agent gave my a missleading quoatition and I am very fustrated that after making the deal with TalkTalk I am not supplied with the agreed package. After talking with the Manager who was not able to help me I was considering to leave them forever as a customer, but even that i have given 30 days to change my mind they wanted to charge me £600. It is absolutely unacceptable what TalkTalk is doing and left me with no choice but to go to the ombudsman.
    Don't go for TalkTalk guys!!!!

My landline has been down since pre-Chritmas, a crucial time for communicating with friends and family . Only managed to get the online chat once with the talk talk service center and was told would see into the problem but nothing has been done or heard and couldn't even get online chat again as none of their their advisers were available for days. A message popped out telling callers to call the service center, but my phone line was down for crying out loud! Plus the so called broadband is running intermittently at a tortoise speed.

Like most people i have experienced nightmares. However none of the were equivalent to dealing with TALK TALK. It was without doubt one of the worst experiences of my life.

My wife an I were with TALK TALK for many years, then being as we were about to move addresses we made the terrible mistake of trying to end our contract with TALK TALK. Folowing rthe payment of our final bill we thought that was it, all done and dusted. Not so. TALK TALK does not give in that easily. We then faced three months of pure hell. Despite providing TALK TALK with a copy of our final bill and proof of payment, we continued to receive weekly threatening letters descibing what they would do to us should we fail to pay the bill again. Eventually threatening us with legal action and bailiffs.

TALK TALK are very clever indeed, as demonstrated by the following.

    1. It is impossible to phone them the phone just rings and rings. If you are fortunate enough to get through to them, they ensure you cannot get any further unless
you are fluent in Indian or Punjabi.

    2. TALK TALK only gives out box numbers, they are too cowardly to give you a an address where you can talk to them face to face. I was most disapointwed about this as i would have paid out a substancial amount of money to meet the person who was making our life HELL. My three sons were eager to meet them also.

Eventually TALK TALK suceeded in what it was striving to do, it made my wife vwery very ill. She ended up dreading the post coming through the door.

Eventually we sought the help from the Citizens Advice Bureau. A little bit of extra information here. TALK TALK are NOT The Citizens Advice favourite people. It appears the Citizens Advice has frequent complaints about TALK TALK every week.

In fact they were so well known, the member of staff listening to our story could acually recite their phone number off by heart. Once the lady had heard our story and examined our paperwork, she advised us to get ourselves a couple of cups of coffee as this phone call she was going to make could take a very long time.

The first thing the lady did was to make a note of the time, I found this a little odd at first, but all would become clearer later. She then proceeded to telephone TALK TALK, Then sat back and continued with her knitting whilst the phone rang and rang and rang and then rang some more. My wife and I finished our coffees and then fetched another. After about fifteen minutes the phone was answered, I'm unsure as to who was the most surprised my wife, myself or the advice lady.

The lady dealing with our problem was totally unable to unable to comprehend that the employee was trying to say in English. So, she asked the employee what her name was. Again being unable to understand her name she asked her to spall it out in English. The employee was unable to do so. So, the Citizens Advice lady requested to speak to an English person. We then listened to Beethoven,s 5th synphony for the next ten minutes. The lady from the citizens Advice centre said that this was quite normal, as perhaps TALK TALK were hoping we would get sick of waiting and put the phone down. clever, very clever.

We were then passed from department to department until eventually being put through to a Supervisor. The lady from the Citizens advice department explained who she was and who she was representing. She explained the problem and gave all the relevant details. The supervisor then said, can you give me a couple of minutes to look into this. A short time later he came back on the line and said, Well I'm confused about this as Mr & Mrs Naylor dont owe us anything. Their final bill was paid up months ago. he then stated that he would make sure we were not contacted again.

my wife was so relived she burst into tears.

The Citizens Advice lady then noted the time. it had taken her 53 minutes to talk to an english person, and 3 minutes to solve our problem. When my wife and I left that office we felt like all our Christmases had come at once.. Such was the relief.

Both myself amnd my wife being driving instructors we have ensured all of our customers are made aware about TALK TALK. We always finish with, " Dont take our word for it, accessthe internet and see ex- TALK TALK customers have to say about them.

Hopefully our customers have listened to us and have gone elsewhere, costing TALK TALK a lot of money. For us, it is a small price to pay for what they put us through.

Appalling customer service. Internet is constantly cut-off for 6 weeks now. All they do is blame Openreach and say to wait for it to be fixed with no compensation or any idea when we will actually have internet. When trying to end contract, cannot even make it to the terminations department as customer service simply does not put us through to them. Stay away! The worst experience in my memory with customer service

Have had nothing but problems since join them for phone, broadband and TV. Have had to have a new router for Internet as it failed, have an engineer out twice for the phone and twice we have upgraded TV packages and not been able to access them for days. It is now 17 days since we took out our last package and we still can't access any of the channels despite 5 calls to their customer service and technical departments and 3 promised call backs within 72 hours none of which have happened. Today speaking to their technical department manager I am told they are still investigating the issue I told them about 17 days ago and I have to give them 28 days total to sort it. The customer service is a joke promises of your problem had been esculated to the relevant department who will sort this ASAP. 17 days being charged for channels we can't watch and when I tell them I want to leave get told its £240 as we are still in contract. Yet they are not providing the services they are contracted to do so. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy let alone family or friends. I can see why Ofcom voted them worst Customer service provider to do with Internet and home phone.

I couldn't believe the mad conversation I had with customer services over installation of my phone and broadband. my mum kindly bought me the package for Xmas online and I had it all confirmed that it would be installed on the 5th jan. I needed my phone Asap and asked if that could be installed first.... No was the answer. I then noticed that my mum put number 11 instead of 111 on the account, so I called to get them to change it. They said it was all done but when I checked the account it was still at 11. I called again and they said I would have to cancel the order and re order it to change it as it was ordered online. That would mean I would lose the installation date and would have to wait later on in the month for the next free one. I told them how desperate I was for my phone so I don't want to cancel it as I can't wait longer. They were adiment this couldn't be done, then I asked if it could be treated like I was moving house, they said yes they could change it but after it was installed..... So they are going to install it to the wrong address to then uninstall it to move it up the road!!!! How does that make any sense!!! I asked the women if she thought that sounds mental and she thought it was completely acceptable. So told them to shove the whole package and I've gone with EE who could fit it all in the same week to the right address that I could change when I liked!! Lovely thank you very much. Talk talk.... You suck.

Firstly of all talk talk is unreliable. While I am making this review, the connection fell to one bar and I am right next to the router because of Talk Talk i lost all my work i was doing. For the people who are considering buying this I plead you not to. I find this experience dreadful. I had to use my phone data to use the internet and to do my work. If you mostly doing work through internet don't get Talk Talk.

Lorreta offer 1/2 price call plan but when the bill came in it was 4 times what we agreed. They are not honest all the comments written here by other reviewers are true I've experienced most of them. First bought this broadband in May 2014, and it's bad, bad, bad. I asked for fibre and they said they needed £500.00 to install a fibre broadband on my location. The speed is terrible. Disconnects every 2 minutes. I have to write this really quickly. IT'S A FRAUD. DO NOT TRUST THIS. THEY MANIPULATED ME INTO BELIEVING 60 mbps download speed and it's below 600 kb now. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.

Each time I called them I was put on hold for min 40mins. I spent 2h on each phone call and problem not resolved.
Many times requested to speak to the manager. They refused.
Any changes you want to make to the account the contract has to be renewed for 18months!
Internet speed between 0.2-3.5 Mbps because I am 2.5 km away from the receiver. Ridiculous and frustrating

I ordered the best available broadband from talk talk and after one month of poor broadband speed contacted them to be told I needed to upgrade at an extra 5 50 a month
I then have to wait almost another month to get connected
I specifically said at the start the cost wasn't the issue I just wanted the best broadband speed available
When you speak to them on the phone it's very difficult to understand them and obviously they don't understand clear and concise instructions

Awful experience. The broadband kept dropping out. It’d take almost an hour on every web chat conversation with someone. Web chat sent standard messages unrelated to my query. When I logged a complaint, I received an email to say they’d tried to ring me when they hadn’t. I never received a good speed with them even though I paid for fibre broadband unlimited and it dropped out lots.

My contract for talk talk line rental, broad band and calls is fixed until June 2017.
I moved house this week and going in to temp accommodation for 6 months, was planning to suspend service and then continue with the service in January 2017.
Horified I was unable to do this and had to pay £177 to get out of contract.
Due to this after care service I will not be touching talk talk provider ever again.
This is after being with talk talk at the same address over a period of 9 years. They seem to forget that we were one of there first customers who helped to built the empire they have.

Absolutely diabolical service, do not use talk talk, you get what you pay for with broadband and these guys are terrible, Iv been with them a year of a 24month contract, tried to escape but can't without paying £150, always had slow speeds on broadband and router they send is terrible, wps doesn't work on it, I asked for this swapping in the first month, they sent an engineer who came out and said "theres nothing wrong with your internet", no joke? I didn't even ring for this I rang for the wps button issue, to fix this would be a new router, I gave up after this and lived without my printer for a year, Contacted them last month to cancel thinking I was in 12months, turns out its 24month so rather than cancel I thought il upgrade to fibre see if that's a bit more reliable and see if I get a better router, took the deal on £30 something per month, told router would arrive in 5-7 working days its been like 12 and its not here so I rang today on my activation day to chase it up, I was told "we decided not to send one as its the same router you already have" that's rubbish as my friend has fibre and its a different router, if I'm paying for a service I want the latest piece of kit with it, regardless of that or specifically said I need the router as this one doesn't work, in the end managed to get one sent, should be here before the 13th a full month after I picked up the phone and upgraded to fibre. On top of this todays activation day and the broadband has been switched off but the fibre hasn't, so I'm now stuck with no Internet, I rang once again told them I have no connection to which theyve said they'll send an engineer out in 24-72hours, so I could be up to three days with no internet, kids are off school, wife doesn't drive and we have no other form of watching telly that doesn't require an Internet connection. I will most certainly be seeking compensation from talk talk and speaking to the financial ombudsman if I get no response, shockingly awful service and they just don't seem to care in the slightest.
