    Talk talk what a load of rubbish . After being on the internet on chat to them for two hours to try and sort out why our phone would stop working after a couple of minutes and broadband . They said they would send a bright sparks engineer out to fix our problem but would cost £50 . On the chat they asked if the box inside the house has BT on it we replied yes . Ok we will send him out . The night before the appointment the bright sparks man phoned and asked if it was a BT box we replied yes again . When he arrived at my house the next day he looked at the box and said I carnt touch it it belongs to BT and went . After a big argument with talk talk I have now cancelled what a con .     Absolute disgrace. I have been with talk talk for 3 years on my home phone and broadband. applied 8 weeks ago for new broadband line in garage conversion we have - simple so one would think !!!!- your couldnt' be more wrong. The frustration, countless calls, and total incompetence of talktalk customer services beggars belief. Simple task which i informed them from the start of the order was that BT Openreach had to do a survey before they could even put a line in. Time after time after time, they totally ignored this with poor communication, lack of response and understanding. The sooner they move their call centre operation back on the UK shores the better - at least we have escalation process and standards that deals with this type of thing and i'm sure it would not have resulted in the pain and agony i went through. In the end after arguments for non-deliver and breach of their contract to me - i cancelled the same after threatening to take legally if i needed too and knowing all calls are recorded they admitted they had far from delivered anything but agony to me. They agreed in the end and now im off to place a brand new order with a UK based operation. At the end of my other Home contract - they will loose this custom too - so from what should have been an easy additional broadband line they have now lost my customer for good - i don't care how cheap they make their prices - their operation is a disgrace and for me Dido Harding couldn't run a few meters never mind a company - STAY CLEAR, STAY AWAY, AND KEEP YOURSELF SANE! - a true review from an honest ex-customer.

    Broadband is so bad. Sometimes it randomly turns off and we have to wait for minutes to turn on again. Sometimes, like now, it is just crippingly slow. When I asked customer service they tried to help and said it was an issue on my end

    Problem plagued internet connection, the same goes for +TV, worsened by cheap unreliable equipment. Outsourced incompetent low-grade customer service, who are only capable of escalating your issue to uk staff, who are even worse to deal with. AVOID.

    As a long standing customer of Virgin I'm now being forced over to Talk Talk as Virgin exit the ADSL market.

    I suspected that the move had taken place when the speed and bandwidth totally collapsed literally overnight. I now recall the horror of dial-up speeds! Using a speed checker reveals a download speed of <0.5MBS during evenings and weekends - I'm getting up at 6am to do larger downloads (e.g. update Firefox, not films). Both the speed checker and a call to Virgin confirmed that my migration onto the Talk Talk servers had occurred.

    Suffice to say I'm off, no way is this speed acceptable especially when Virgin did so much better on the same infrastructure.

    I have not called Talk Talk as at this stage the MAC can be provided by Virgin so I have no experience of the Talk Talk service experience but feedback from others doesn't bode well.

    This company is the worst company in UK, the management is completely rubbish they don't know what they doin, it took them 6 months to install a business line and when installation happened it did not work. Our previous line went down for 7 days, ended up finding new supplier and lost more than £3000 worth business Please don't make this mistake find any other company but not Talk Talk. YOU WILL REGRET GOING WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

    TalkTalk is the worst service in the world. Their broadband is constantly not working and the customer service is the worst I have ever met. They also won't cancel your contract if you want to. Our internet service is not working for the last 2 months, they were unable to fix it and now they don't want to cancel it. STAY AWAY!

    I have had Talktalk for some years and they are cheap ...... for a reason. Line speed, faults etc.seem about what I can expect from other providers but if something goes wrong, their customer service is truly dreadful. A call centre in India with agents whose accent I can't understand reading a script they don't understand at the behest of management who couldn't care less about customers. I have stood it because of the hassle of switching but I can't stand it any more. I'm switching. If you are considering becoming a Talktalk customer, I suggest you reconsider.

    The best speed obtainable with BT was 0.5Mb and that was on their Option 3 tariff. Having swapped to TalkTalk earlier this year I was amazed that I immediately was getting speeds close to 3MB and I have never experienced any loss of service. However, the TalkTalk customer service is laughable, they are simply not capable of resolving any issues, no matter how simple. Nevertheless, providing you are an experienced computer user or know someone who is, then for the speed and reliabilty alone TalkTalk is a good choice.

    I had no internet for days, I called them to cancel service, they refused, I called them again month later, they refused again with same reason which was: "system problems"

    The worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Cannot help via phone / app / text. Speaks over me 24/7. Asked to change payment date and they charged me 2 late payment fees. Broadband speed is the worst ever and hardly works yet they can’t do anything about it. When my contract was up I was going to cancel but they had already started a new contract for me so I cannot get out of it and could not do anything about it. Disgusting! Can’t wait to leave them id rather have no broadband than be with them

    Worst company I've ever had to deal with. Poor broadband, the TV service is terrible, they kept putting the bills up, I cancelled and have had nothing but trouble and constantly sending me all sorts of bills for things I haven't got and haven't done. I can never get a decent person to sort anything out its been nothing but stress.

    I always had a speed issue with talktalk, they said it was not there fault and they said BT would not be any better, well when i was with talktalk best speed was 8mb now with BT speed is 15MB would not recommend talktalk.

    Biggest mistake we made,stay away from these.Customer service-0,Broadband reliability-0.
    Honestly cannot believe how totally inept this company are,they really are a disgrace.
    Been with them a few years,all was good until 18mths or so ago,our internet is intermittent,we have had it “tested” by their technicians on the phone

    A turtle actually retrieving the information I need from the internet would be faster than any connection Talktalk could use.

    In fact giving it one star in any category is an insult to star ratings all over the place.

    When a younger family member was over I allowed them to use my gaming laptop to play Minecraft on. The wi-fi struggle with it. MINECRAFT for lord sake.

    Don't get me started on ping. My friend complained about having 50 ping, out of curosity looked at mine "Thinking, oh it won't be to bad" 300-500. 500 ping. 5.0.0

    After conducting several connection test, on average, our download speed was 1.3 MB and our upload speed was 0.7 KB. That's right, not even a MB worth of upload speed.

    Oh this wasn't at peak times as well, because I understand that the more people using it the more it's going to slower. This was at 2 in the afternoon.

    So go with Talk Talk if you want the aggravating experience of your wi-fi dropping out, games lagging to such an extent by the time you've loaded it the match is over and the hair pulling fun times of connection issues.

    My experience with talktalk is beyond words!!
    Vile telephone helpline impossible to speak to anyone when you do get through you’re put on hold or hung up on. The email service seems to be run by computer or apes that could not answer one question or acknowledge anything stated in emails. Charges added all over the place payment system that fails then charges you for late payment

    Horrid broadband service.
    The installation of the Internet was made on December 8, but it could not be finished. First, they informed me that there was an obstruction in the conduit to pass the cable, second that there was a data problem and finally, a month later they told us that it was necessary to cancel the contract and make a new one because the previous one was not well done. We were all Christmas without Internet service. We received messages saying that the service was alive. On top of this we received a bill informing us that they would charge us for the service. After several calls they assured us that everything was cancelled and days later the bank debited us the money. Now we are claiming the refund and without any answer.
    All this situation has caused several problems to my family, we have spent a month without Internet service, wasting time and money. We have been in touch with TalkTalk by email and telephone, however, nobody has ever contacted us. We asked to speak with a supervisor or someone responsible from the company, but they said that it was not possible, they cancelled the contract due to their inability to connect the service, they also charged us for the unsuccessfully service and now nobody answers to return our money. What other new thing could we expect if, beyond cancelling the contract, we continue wasting time and money.
    When are we suppose to have our money back?

    ABSOLUTELY AWFUL !!!! I've no idea what the broadband is like because 2 months ago the equipment was installed but we are yet to be connected. If you live in York please please please don't sign up. I've cancelled work today to wait in for an engineer who isn't coming. No courtesy phone call. I had to ring them to find out!!

    Disgusting Company - White collar robbery
    So me and my family were forced to change internet provider due to TalkTalk having absolutely awful download speeds and not being able to improve on them.

    We went through the cancellation process only to find out that TalkTalk had still been charging us! £40 a month. We called them and told them that this had been cancelled, however, the company has said, in order to cancel our broadband, we are required to get our new service provider to contact them to verify this change.

    I have contacted my new service provider, and this is an outright lie from TalkTalk.

    Pure lies from the company who have been a total nightmare for the years that we have been with them.

    I would not recommend this company to anybody.

    Over charged every month, promised refund never received it, billed for parts of package we were assured were free,they dont understand plain english when you phone up to complain about over charging absolutely dire company to deal with. Counting down the days until we can get out of contract

    Terrible, a lot worse than the wifi in my Year 1 accommodation. It's so slow, even when I'm the only one in the house. It often doesn't load websites properly and when I video call my boyfriend he says I sound robotic and my video lags. Can't wait to move into my new student house and use a better provider.

    Absolutely disgusting company, I had a complaint going through with them which they closed on their side without any further contact with me. They had my address, my email address, a landline and a mobile.

    I tried to cancel with these jokers only to be stuck with a ridiculous cancellation fee.

    Now don't get me wrong I understand cancellation fees, but theirs was extortionate.

    I ended up going through their complaints procedure for something different and all they did was harass me.

    I repeatedly told them the best times to call me and they called at everytime but those times, leaving countless voicemails which were barely understandable.


    My complaint was in regards to their service and how I thought it was disgusting and wished to leave their company sans the cancellation fee.

    They disagreed with this and we were left at a bit of an impasse whilst I spoke to the Ombudsman.

    I then received a vague and garbled voicemail stating they had an update to my complaint.


    I called back to speak to an agent who had no idea what I was talking about to eventually speak to a manager who proceeded to reiterate their point previously about the cancellation fee.

    I asked what they had called about and what update they had, only for her to repeat the same sentence confirming their standpoint.

    I asked again what the voicemail and update was concerning, only to have her say the same stock script about cancellation.

    I didn't understand the point of the call!

    Absolute joke of a company, I'm keeping my direct debit until my contract is up and will until my last breath advise against this company.

    I was told not to use them myself but thought 'hey they're cheap, it can't be that bad'

    It is....and so much worse.

    Avoid at all costs, reprehensible company needs to be changed from the top down. Disgusting.

    The worst experience of my life and I have been around a long time. Put on hold,handed from one person to another,cut off waiting,having a party so you cannot hear the operator.......Talk Talk have the lot!!!

    Never be tempted by talk talk. I was as I was fed up with sky. I found a deal with Cashback and signed up. After a short while I got a letter cancelling our order. After ringing to sort out why they made a new account. Then it all went more pair shaped and I got a better deal from Sky. Talking to talk talk customer services was really difficult and they didn't understand anything. I have also got a telhone bill of 2 long conversations to them for over £50. What the hell. Avoid at all costs. It will cost you!

    The company should be ashamed of it self seriously charging a extra 12 pounds because we missed a payment but not telling us that is what happeneds also with internet speed below 2mb I hope the company crashes and burned can't wait for a recession they will not last 5min customer service was all the same with no progress when we had problems if advise anyone to not go there at all no wonder they getting beat left right and centre in the market bad service bad internet bad everything what a rip of

    Awful company food if nothing goes wrong, if youbget a problem it takes about 10 mins in phone calls to get through to a person and they do not understand the problem and jyst repeat themselves asif they are reading of a screen do not help then at the end of the phone call they have the cheek to ask if you are happy with the phone call AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!! Id rather stick with bt or sky and pay a extra couple of pounds more a month

    Promised 10mbps and above, but we struggle to get anything over 2.5

    Tech support are a nightmare, all they want to do is sell you fix-all-the-speed-issues fibre

    I'm currently going down the complaints process as they're in breach of contract as far as I'm concerned.

    Avoid them like the plague. If there are any issues then you're stuffed and you will enter the never ending circle of technical support pain, endlessly starting their support script from the beginning each time. It is HELL.

    We moved to TalkTalk from Plusnet and bitterly regret it.

    AVOID TALKTALK AT ALL COSTS

    HORRENDOUS AVOID AT ALL COST. As all reviews say they have no level of customer service. Disconnected Wi-Fi when I changed my package and I use it for work. Misspelt my email address then charged me for paper statements. Staff refuse to put you through to a manager. They used to be good but now they are a nightmare all none UK call centre. Will never go with this company again after my experience and can't wait to leave when current contract up but I am guessing that will be a challenge in itself. Also call centre has inflexible working hours.

    Terrible scam artists. Due to finding a cheaper broadband deal, I switched to a new provider and they stated that they would contact Talktalk. Switched as planned, then Talktalk send a bill as normal. Called talktalk to say my provider has changed and I had already checked that my line to talktalk had been switched. Talk talk then claim they had not been told. New provider gave dates of sent and received confirmations. Called TT many times, after giving you security details four or five times and being passed around, you are eventually connected to cancellations. The perfectly clear phone call suddenly changes to the sound of a hundred voices, louder than your agents voice and the sound constantly breaking up. The same thing happens every time I get through to the cancelation team. I can never complete the process. I going to have to waste yet another 45 minutes to get through the them. Due to the repeated nature of problems of cut offs and poor sound connection in only the cancelation team, I can only assume it is completely deliberately unprofessional, so that you cannot cancel. Meanwhile my new provider has given me extra credit on my account for the difficulties Talk Talk are causing.

    I honestly don’t understand why so many people are complaining about Talk Talk. I switched my provider to them from Sky as I was experiencing horrendous download speeds and constant buffering. I originally wanted to sign up to the UFO package but was told it wasn’t available in my area. I moved to their standard high speed deal and was happy with the change. A month after I signed up UFO became available in my area, I contacted Talk Talk and told them I wanted to switch as this was what I wax originally interested in. Within a week I had 2 engineers on site and the install was finished. I had no charges for changing my package and no sign up fees. I average download speeds of about 200mbs and stream Netflix in Ultra High Def with no problems. Even with an average of 4 devices connected at any one time I don’t experience loss of service or any slowing/ buffering. I’m on a completely uncapped package and I have to say it’s the best ISP I’ve used.

    I am unable to leave zero stars, so one is being generous. Since joining talk talk 3 months ago we have not had a day that I can recall with full internet connection. Every time I call or have an online chat I'm advised that the problem is being looked into (although no technical fault can ever be found) and left hanging again. No follow up calls, no customer service calls, nothing, zilch, I have never experienced such appalling service with the product being provided or the staff at talk talk. I cannot express how frustrating this is and I certainly would not recommend anyone would join talk talk!
