    Charged for 1 month advance even though we ended contract due to increase in price. Now charged overdue charges. Absolutely wrong. Don’t ever go with them. More trouble than they are worth. Customer service is hopeless

    Took out a TalkTalk broadband contract but had slow speeds from day one. Told it can take time to settle, left for a week and then contacted TalkTalk. Tried some fixes but wanted to charge for an engineer to visit. Took up my right to cancel within 20 days. Signed up with Virgin Broadband. 4 months later realised TalkTalk have still been charging me every month so I rang to report this and refused to refund money taken as claimed it was Virgin 'who didn't take over the line' and was therefore my fault as stated it verbal terms and conditions.
    Horrendous experience and will never return as a customer.

    lost service. Support shockingly bad.A week now with no service. Support just make it as hard as possible to get support. Just switched provider and It's cheaper.

    Talk talk took my account from all with no consultation, communication to me. Was then moved to flur again no consultation or communication except stating when my payments due, rang to cancel, flur was amenable after long argument and threat to trading standards, talk talk still ongoing... Could not give reason for why lack in communication, and passing on my details, including bank details without my permission....supposedly closed my account .... Had another bill today... Strange I can't get through to them!,,,, think trading standards or rouge traders need a call?.......

    Deffo won’t be going to TalkTalk again. Constant internet dropping off. Sometimes fine but mostly bad. I wish I’d looked at reviews first before going with them. I’ve been told by others who used to use them that they purposely sow your connection down at certain times. And I could believe that. I work from home so this is really annoying. I’ve tried calling up in the past but they just keep telling me everything is fine. I don’t like hassle at all. Next time I’ll go with someone with better reviews.

    Talktalk bought out my contract from tiscili , i never agreed to be with this company and almost instantly after switching i lost connection frequently and my speeds went down massively. They are the worst provider out there and people need to stop purchasing their products so the business can die.

    Avoid at all costs. I was sucked in by their offers, but regretted it for months. I never got the speed or stability of the broadband service promised. Poor customer service. Call out an engineer to have a look, that's an extra £50. Then spent 3 months trying to get out of the contract. I can't recommend this company, and I won't be using them again.

    Avoid Talktalk if you can. Rubbish customer service.
    They don't take customer privacy seriously, and their multiple losses of customer information seem like a pretty serious breach of contract. When you try to leave before your contract is up due to security concerns, they will charge you £80. I hope they enjoy the £80, because it's the last of my money they'll ever get.

    I ended up with TalkTalk because Virgin Media decided to sell their National Broadband (telephone line) service to this company. The service provided by Virgin was very good. During the transition from Virgin Media to TalkTalk I was left without an Internet connection for 2 weeks. The call centre was located in India somewhere and was of no help at all. Every time I rang they started from the top of their response script. It took a week of repeated phone calls, with my voice getting louder and more desperate, for a more senior person eventually to admit that the problem was with their equipment. A 'board' was changed and my Internet connection was restored.

    Having been re-connected my Internet connection would regularly fail with my Internet browser often stopping and e-mail failing. This would be from a few seconds to many minutes each time. These breaks in service would occur as much as a dozen times during an evening's occasional Internet browsing.

    There were also problems with my e-mail service. About 3 weeks before Christmas 2015 I received an e-mail from Homebase with details about Halloween sales, which I then investigated. I noticed I had received a total of 6 e-mails that had been delivered between 4 and 5 weeks late. When I approached the so-called customer help at TalkTalk they sought to blame me for these problems. I checked the detailed message data behind each of these e-mails to find that they had arrived in my e-mail In Box at the same date and time recorded by the e-mail server. When I provided TalkTalk with this detailed information they did not bother to reply.

    I have now changed to a new ISP as TalkTalk insisted that I change to my e-mail address to a TalkTalk one. As I had to replace my old Virgin Net e-mail address there was no way I would stay with TalkTalk. I have been connected to my new ISP for 5 days have not experienced any interruptions to my Internet connection.

    You really should not consider using TalkTalk.

    Cannot believe just how terrible the broadband speeds are, the customer service is a disgrace. Some of the suggestions made would be pure comic genius if I wasn't so bloody annoyed. All I want to do is cancel my subscription but complaint after complaint after complaint has got me no where. Been trying since 4th Feb 16. SAVE YOUR SOUL, do not sign up to TALK TALK. One day I might be free to surf the net...

    They don't reply to texts, emails or letters. You wait 40 minutes on hold before speaking to an Indian who can't understand what you want. The worst company in the world!!!!!

    When I reported what I considered to be indiscretions, and derogatory comment which occurred in posts on the TalkTalk Community Forums, the initial response was one of outrage, of feigning incredulity, and abject apology!

    At this time I was prepared to accept a simple, but dignified, Yes / No answer to my original question, QUOTE: 'Is it acceptable for members of the TalkTalk Community, Support Team / Stars, to post / support, incorrect information, with impunity?

    However, this did not materialise, and when I stated specifically what I regarded as unacceptable, the mood changed, and when I made even more specific reference to a particular individual - Community Star Gondola - the subject of the indiscretions was effectively buried, and met with a stone walled silence.

    We moved from BT to TalkTalk, so physically it is the same line but the speed and reliability of service have deteriorated dramatically. The TalkTalk help line is deeply frustrating, they ask for a time to call back and then actually call days later. This has been going on for weeks now with no solution in sight. Yes, they are trying to upsell me to the fibre broadband but, guess what, I have no hope that it will prove to be anymore reliable. What a mess. My son is asking for the old broadband back, I can't blame him.

    overall this supplier fails on many levels, I have tried so many times to try to sort out the internet but, yet I still cannot get the fibre optic I am paying for. whilst the customer service are polite its a very frustrating experience trying to put across your problem and then to get it sorted..... never again once this contract is finished I will never have them again ...

    My visually impaired, hearing impaired 82 year old mother had all Talk Talk Services cut without warning - she has only just opened an account with them. We paid a reconnection fee despite there being plenty of money in her account for a direct debit to be taken. We are now unable to solve the problem because NO ONE will speak to us at Talk Talk unless we pay the bill - that would be be the bill we just direct debited from her account PLUS 2 reconnection fees which they have happily taken.
    I am so furious, how utterly ridiculous that Talk Talk can refuse to speak to customers with problems. I wish I could sue them for the distress and fear they have caused my elderly mother. There is no justice. These large organisations completely please themselves. Disgusting.

    What an embarrassment, idiots in customer service, you're on hold for hours, always cuts out and goes down, It wouldn't surprise me if there was actual monkeys running this company.

    A load off rubbish internet keep cutting out couldn't use WiFi for a few months but my partner still had to pay the few months that we couldn’t use the WiFi the internet speed is **** talk talk is **** going back to sky when contract is up as talk talk is scamming money for leaving I wouldn’t recommend talk talk at all with sky we had no problem go to talk talk and every ****** up not worth the time or day or money

    Talktalk deserve no stars! Sept 3rd reported no phone/internet. Told engineer will review. No updates from talk talk just me having to contact them. 5 days later still nothing. Customer services appalling...they do not understand and avoid answering specific questions. Many answers aresimply scripted! Day 5 of no service spoke to a manager who said it is a major fault and openet are on stage 2 of the repairs. The line should be repaired in the next 24 -48 hours and the talktalk customer services manager will call me back within that time. Surprise surprise... No call from the manager at all let alone when he said he would. Now on day 8 of no line (hence no phone or internet) spoke to a not her customer service manager.... I'm told openet working on the problem which is major and affecting other people. Funny the council know nothing about this major problem! So it gets worse...talktalk now tell me I will be contacted on September 20th for an update!!!! This means no line until at least then which is totally unacceptable. Not only will I have no phone or internet which I need for work and college I also still do not know what the actual problem is and how many other people are affected. Talktalk are absolutely USELESS and should be answerable for such appalling service! Don't ever take a contract with talktalk.

    Got rid of talk talk a few years ago as they are rubbish. Went with Tesco Had no problems at all now Tesco have sold out talk talk so unfortunately we are back with a craps provider. So will be looking to change very soon

    Absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service. Have no use of You View box for over 4 months. No compensation or reduction in payments unless I sign up for a further 12 months. So the attitude of this company is we will only give you back what you're owed if you allow us to deliver a bad service for another year. No thank you. ... can I suggest you up your game and consider your customers more. Your reputation is getting worse by the day! Disgraceful.

    Appalling treament on live chat. Got through security checks and speedtests, the internet then cutout and dropped the chat. I then had to tell a different representative the same security checks and details about the issues of intermittent connectivity.
    Currently getting half the advertised speed, intermittent dropouts, slow on all devices. On the third live chat the rep was copy and pasting script at me. Then my options were to pay to have an engineer come out, one thing BT doesn't. Or pay for a new router upgrade that apparently will work at the right speeds that I am already paying for! When typing a response to this information they cut the live chat! We moved to talktalk after a recommendation from a friend for their customer service, great speeds and reliability! Now looking at a different provider.

    Supplied wireless router does not support VPN connections, so had to revert to my old router but the speed is near that advertised. Overall excellent value for money

    Had a new business broadband and mophone with them on 17 july 2014.Till date it has not started working.I have to twice cancel my e pos installation in the shop as broadband doesn't work.Their technical support is the worst in uk.I phone them every day and each day I an given a different story.They say it is an external fault which bt open reach is responsible for and bt engineer says the line is fine it is the problem at talk talk end.It is a shame the way they treat thrir customers.I will never ever suggest talktalk even to my worst of enemies.

    DO NOT GO WITH TALKTALK. They are the worst providers ever! We could never ever get a proper connection. Even cost us money through work (working from home) and having to constantly buy data on our phones. I even bought a Giffgaff sim for the kids iPads because they couldn’t ever watch or play on anything!! Whilst still paying for TalkTalk. Then when you want to leave you have to go through a whole massive process which takes forever. They hang up. They claim they can’t hear you down the phone. They claim they don’t understand you as they’re all foreigners. We’ve just gone with B.T and in 1 day of being with them I can’t believe the difference. Stay away or you’ll end up wrapped up in this joke for a full 18 months

    I have been unable since February to reliably access my tiscali email despite many calls. There service is a complete disgrace. Have written to their complaints department and been ignored. I would not recommend them to anyone if this is how they treat a long standing customer who will be leaving at the end of the contract

    The internet speeds advertised are nothing like those advertised. Their customer service is dreadful. Call backs don't happen and they fob you off with excuses. Steer well clear. You would be better off with 2 empty bean tins and a piece of string!

    Broadband was terrible so rang Talktalk and they suggested I upgrade. I did so and this started a new contract. Broadband still poor so rang and asked for the superdooper router that they advertised would come with my upgrade. After 2 hours haggling got it. Broadband better. Then 1 year into my new contract received an e mail from Talktalk stateing I am not getting the speeds I am paying for and suggested I downgrade to save me money. I did this and now have the poorest wifi broadband ever. Got 2 kids whose iphones wont connect to the wifi. Keep having to turn router on off. Roll on April when contract expires. Please avoid. Customet service very poor. Despite admitting I am not getting the service they still refuse any kind of refund.

    Happy customer with AOL for 15+yrs, no problems really. Talk talk took over billing recently, lost my secure account details, blamed me for not paying my direct debit. Spoke to some robotic "far away difficult to understand" customer services teams for probably over 3hrs on numerous calls apart from my bank who hadn't caused the problem. They agreed to resolve & compensate, then few weeks later automatically cut my service off in error for non-payment so had to waste more time. You get told different things from different managers. Absolutely awful company to deal with, avoid.

    DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AT YOUR PERIL. I recently opted to take fibre broadband which was due to transfer over on 15/8 however lost all connection to any broadband. Spent whole of next day on the phone to Talk Talk with no success. Eventually they said that Open reach had not completed the switch correctly. This was a lie, two Open reach visits later the engineer advised Talk Talk the problem was at there end and a coding problem. In the meantime Talk Talk had insisted on sending a further new router despite the engineer stating that the router was working and not faulty. When the router arrived and was plugged in still no connection. Yet another phone call to Talk Talk who again insisted on sending Open reach out again. Engineer again spoke with Talk Talk who finally agreed that it was a coding problem at their end,just as they had been advised the day before but refused to accept. However, as it is now Saturday there is nobody at Talk Talk available to do the coding and we were told it would take up to 72 hours to do. Advised this was not acceptable and I wanted to switch back to standard broadband which the Open Reach Engineer could facilitate whilst he was still on site. I was told this was not possible to do today and would take up to 24 hours. Went ahead with the downgrade and Engineer moved the lines back. At present we do have broadband but this may change later when Talk Talk do whatever changes the are doing so I am not holding my breath!! This has taken four days out of my life to only be at the same place I started at. Throughout all of my calls with this company the staff have not taken any notice of anything I have said to help resolve the situation, nor have they taken notice of anything that Open Reach have advised until the final stage. They have been obstructive when I have tried to escalate the problem, and wasted much time re running tests that have already proved fruitless rather than accepting the information they have been given. It is impossible to continue to deal with one person and always state they can not transfer call this is another lie as when I insisted I would not end the call until they did so miraculously I was transferred, albeit I was on hold for 15/20minutes at a time. Overall I would avoid this company at all costs, as stated in one of the other reviews my monthly charged has crept up and up which I do not mind if they are improving their offering but this is not the case. My intention now is to cancel this contract and go elsewhere as I have no confidence in this bunch of idiots.

    Don`t touch with a barge pole, if you see there reps walk the other way. they should be taken to court for impersonating an internet product. As for customer services it`s a disgrace why can they not give you an honest answer it is incredible how they can keep you on the phone for that length of time and basically lie when they say a manager will ring you back. It never happens!!! Mine was supposed to be an upgraded package ( Laughable!!!) If you want to get a call off them cancel your direct debit they`ll soon ring you then.

    Unfortunately, in February 2013 I made the mistake of changing my provider for T.V.,broadband and telephone to TalkTalk. I paid extra for power cables and set up my own system as preferred by TalkTalk saving a fitting fee. The broadband and telephone was not a problem except that TalkTalk told me I had to change my phone number, I later found out this not to be true. From the moment I got the T.V. I had problem after problem with freezing, buffering etc. I completed over forty e mail complaints, had three service engineers and still very poor service. In January 2014 I decided enough was enough and cancelled my contract. They attempted to threaten me with I would have to pay the remaining money owed and tried to charge me for the box. They eventually conceded after I pointed out that they had been fined by of com in 2011 for over charging. They sent a bag to send the box back. I posted it and received a receipt on 10th February 2014, on 16th April 2014 they took by direct debit £150 from my bank account for the box. I had to raise a complaint and after providing the posting code, they conceded that they had received the box on 13th February 2014. I am now awaiting the return of the £150. So BE AWARE IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS VERY POOR COMPANY.
