Have had months and months of the broadband cutting out done every single check they ask but still they would not send out an engineer. They eventually said oh! you need a new router that's £65 we told them no way their equipment and if faulty their job to replace or breach of contract they then offer the router for just under half price. Stuck to my guns said no way eventually router for the cost of postage £6.95 still stuck to our guns and said no! After this they then put me onto a manager thousands of miles away still, with crap English.
They then do more checks online, now it is not the router but still refuse to send out an engineer.

Long and short we signed up to another ISP and low and behold the crummy 3mbs drops to an average of 1.5mbs and even as low as 0.5mbs we are approx. 1 mile from the exchange so no reason not to be close to the " Upto 17mb speed".

Stay clear of this company they are total garbage.
Broadband that keeps disconnecting sometimes 5-10 times in an hour is not worth even having if it was free never mind actually paying for it.

If you are looking for a connection that allows you to watch a 2 minutes video in 10 minutes sky is the connection to be with, not only do I have the filter added on to sky but the booster aswell, I have to say sky connection is really bad, it has been problem after problem after problem, it is a struggle to keep one tablet online with little as 2 bars of connection

Sky broadband is a scam. 90% of the time you are "connected, no internet" or "limited connection"
Not only are you constantly unable to use the service you pay for but the helpdesk staff are unable to assist in anything that isn't part of their script. I am sick of phoning up and repeating for the 1000th time it's not the micro filter.

Sky broadband is a scam. They advertise and charge for a service they are clearly unable to provide

Sky is the worst service provider ever. It is impossible to contact Sky to speak to or email and contact is often required as the service is dire. Broadband speed is the lowest and watching a program in it's entirety is impossible as the signal drops constantly. If you think of joining Sky, do yourself a favour and think again.

Sky used to be the best company for tv and broadband, well worth the price (back then). All i can say now is very over priced for a very poor quality service and terrible broadband speeds. Very unreliable aswell. Been with sky for over 8 year and its got that bad im looking into other companys to go with. Not good sky, not good at all.

Conning and ripping everyone off for their shoddy speeds, reliability and customer service. Consistent drops in connection, lagging when gaming, or video conference calling. Speaking with their customer service is pointless (turn it off and back on again). As soon as the contract is done, I'm out. If you're in London, avoid.

Worst internet I have ever had. When we moved into our new house we went with standard unlimited broadband which took 6 weeks to install and was utter rubbish after a year or so we upgraded to fibre and for some reason its worse than standard broadband. Customer services are a joke 4 times iv been on the phone for around a hour with no answer. I will end my contract when I eventually get through and will never use sky again

Wow. I can not comment on sky's broadband speed as I'm yet to experience that joy but I will say save yourself the headache save yourself the time most providers are run through the same bloody line so just go with one that provides actual customer, just call the provider you want on a number you find on the internet not the one they give to sale you the product and see if it is possibly to be put through to a human. Let me save you time with sky it is not oh unless you want to message them through Facebook messenger and than repeat yourself a 1000 times and be sent emojis like your talking to your girlfriends and not a business. You've been warned.

I could almost be forgiving in this review if I was willing to stoop as low as this company has.
Customer service comes in handy when you want some unfathomable under-trained scab of a human being patronising you asking things like “is it definitely turned on?”. No sir, I completely had no idea about that one, thanks bob. Now these are supposed to be the people you go to for help, but when they sense stress in your voice that was brought on by the problem you need them to fix, they get defensive and hang up or they will argue with you. Now I don’t know if that’s just how they treat all their young customers but you really can sense these guys hit rock bottom and fell right through the ****.
The guys they employ to install the router are just as bad, the first guy came and shoved it in my hall with the wires running across the whole hallway as the only other plug in the hall was at the opposite end. The second guy who came out to fix it drilled a hole in the wall in my spare room instead of installing it in my living room where it could possibly have a better chance of working at all.
They occasionally drop huge bills on you for whatever reason they decide, and they take money out of your bank account at random dates (this can really **** some people over)
Anyone I have ever met that works for this **** stain of a company has been mentally unable to communicate in any empathetic or even competent way or is in their mid 30’s still living with their parents.
The broadband being 11mbps in comparison to virgin going up into the 300’s really shows that they’ll sell anything regardless of the quality that is out their that they should be trying to compete with.
Long story short, these guys and anyone associated with these guys are moralless, empty people that just want your money. They don’t give a **** about what there selling, I’d be stunned if they even ******* know.
In summary, don’t go near sky, they’re a total joke and should have ran out of business years ago

Sky broadband is AWFUL. For the first month it was fine, but having used it for 6+ months it is terrible. It cuts out regularly, it is INCREDIBLY SLOW. It takes 5 minutes to load google sometimes, and our download speed is anywhere from 0.2-0.8mb/s, when it should be at least 10mb/s or more.

It is very frustrating and now with constant cutting out of the internet, my family and I are switching to a different provider because we've had enough of this terrible service.

I was due to receive my new sky HD box today, I waited in all day because "That was the date agreed" and when I contacted services to ask when installation was coming because theresults only 45min late, a worker called Keith words are "Didn't they inform you there not coming today?? Do you possible have a week off in December because we've penned you in for next availability 14th". When I told him am going to the bank in morning to stop payment, Keith says "can I pass you on to other department" I had to tell him that they've wasted my entire day never mind other 20min. Crap is a understatement

Sometimes i check my speed, and i have 14 mbps download, which is good!
othertimes i'll be getting 500 kbps download, i phone sky and they just say that because i'm not connected with a cable it's nothing to do with them, 'We're sending 19mbps to your router, what ever happens after that is nothing to do with us' is what a sky worker told me down the phone.
Internet randomly drops twice a day!

I signed up for sky broadband in August this year. It's now 30 November and still no sign of a service. I'm paying - they've even increased the charge!!! but still no service. Phone line needs connecting up properly but their customer service seems incapable of arranging this..instead they are rude and patronising...they've now said they can't access my account because of data protection!! What??!! Unbelievable. Think very carefully and read/believe the reviews before you consider broadband from Sky. I wish I had.

Honestly, the most infuriating and disgustingly poor service I have ever encountered. I live in a small 2 bedroom flat, that unless you're in the room of the router you cannot get any signal. I'm talking no more than 3 - 4 metres away. And when you do get signal, it drops 20 (at least, no exaggeration) times a day. When an addition device adds to the wifi (e.g. When my partner returns from work and his phone connects) the wifi crashes and takes 10 or so minutes to reconnect. When you are connected, it is slower than the dial up I had in 99. With regards to customer service, when I have called regarding issues with the internet I am forced to go through the same pointless routine of pulling each and every wire in and out of the router and wall, despite the record on my file that I did that 10 minutes ago with a different operator. Following which I'm told a referral to management is in place and they will call back within 48 hours, which has never happened. So I have to call back and go through the wire routine again, before being passed to management, something they said couldn't be done immediately on the previous call. I am then told it's a problem with my micro filter, and they will send a new one which will take 3-5 days. When it arrives 5 days later it's not the microfilter, so I have to call back, pull out more wires to even talk to anyone, and when I finally get through am told it's the router and they will send one in 3-5 days. 5 days arrive and they accidentally send another microfilter rather than router, so I have to call back again. Same routine. By which point I'm clocking double digits on the hours on the phone. Finally, after 5 weeks of nonsense, one final genuinely good employee actually listens to me, reads my file and realises that he whole problem was a simple click on a button at their end that they made the mistake for. No compensation offered, when I asked I was brushed off with a nation wide offer already in place for any old Joe. Since which my service had been deplorable, and the only reason for not changing suppliers is that to do so I would have to go without any internet for at least a week in change over, and I work from home. And at this point I'm used to working intermittently, with a break every half hour on average, often more. For a company so big, I have never known such horrendous service and customer service to back it up. All I want is a continuous stream (with the odd exception that of course can happen) of Internet and a signal that extends beyond one room. This is supposed to be their speciality! If you are choosing a new provider, NEVER ever go near sky with a barge pole. Absolute joke.

Just the fact that in my 24 years of existence this is the first review I have given should speak volume. Getting sky as your internet provider is a life sentence. Worst provider ever. I feel like I’m back in 2005 when my internet is so slow I can’t even load my Netflix.

After experiencing sky wifi, I have never felt so low. I cannot replicate the old world of escapism I previously experienced, I no longer feel the joy of dopamine rushing through my veins. Instead I am feeling adrenaline and cortisol, wanting to destroy the next local Sky building in my outrage. This is a SCAM and not worth WASTING MONEY on. I'd rather strap a potato with wires to an asteroid that is 4.246 light years away, orbiting Proxima Centauri than this rubbish wifi.

The customer service representatives are rude, incompetent and unable to understand simple requests. I have been trying to cancel my sky account since 1st July but it is beyond their intellect to comprehend this request. I'm still being billed for internet services I don't use and when I tried to bring this issue up, I was on hold for 51 minutes only to speak to a representative finally who was humming a tune while pretending to listen to my problem and then hung up on me.

Sky broadband is utter crap. It can't run videos on YouTube even on 480p with constant buffering. Even though I'm side by side with the router. It can't run multiple connections at once meaning those in my house need to ask for others to go off to do something online. But alas. Im not in charge of internet and thus. Have no power as to changing to any other provider.

Sky broadband intermittently cuts out but their broadband checker says all is ok. They are telling lies. If my 85 year old mother fell and her emergency beeper connected to the internet didn’t work because sky only provided intermittent service she could die. Are sky expecting you to pay for a 24 hour service or an intermittent service???????!!!!!

Set up a contract in October 23 for the Broadband £25

I cancelled the sky TV in April 2024 end of contract Sky put the Broadband up from £25-£43 the deal was not linked I contacted them they explained it was an error and would put the initial agreement back I confirmed this several times on the phone .I have now received emails to say I have entered into our 18 month contract for £38 from the date of the phone call today
I took that agree this all that happened on the phone call was that they apologised and reinstated the initial Broadband deal they are clearly all on some sort of commission and putting you into contract you didn’t agree to

I signed up for a download speed of 8mb. I had a new phone line fitted and was expecting a download speed of aprox 6.5mb. All I get is an average speed of 0.45mb !!!! All sky say is that between the hours of 5pm and midnight the speed will be a lot lower than is expected, but this download speed is the same no matter what time of day I check! They have no interest in this fact and my pay as you go three dongle is faster than the speed from sky !!!! I'm now locked into paying for a download speed of 8mb when in reality its less than 1 !!!!!! should have just stayed with the dongle !!

    The Hub 2 specifications:
    Single band 802.11n (NOT 802.11ac)
    2.4GHz (NOT dual band 2.4GHz and 5GHz)
Ethernet 100Mbps ports (NO Gigabit Ethernet 1000Mbps ports)
    (NO USB connection)
    (NO IPv6 Support)
The Hub 2 is left standing by its rivals at the newer wireless standards with BT, EE and Virgin’s routers more than twice as fast using 802.11n 5GHz, I guess that says it all, I hope this helps, Do not get SKY.

Changed from bt infinity to sky broadband . Was told it was going to be 1-4 MB for the first month and then it would be upgraded to super fast fiber at 38 MB . 4 months later and we still have the same Internet as we started with . The internet speed isn't even between the 1-4 MB that was stated . It has been on average 0.7 MB , which is ridiculous . Would not recommend , cancelling the broadband consisted of around 6 different phone numbers being given to us to call and on average 15-20 minutes of being on hold . Terrible service all round .

AVOID SKY... I received a call a couple of months back offering me deal to switch to Sky from BT. I was promised that even though I was in a contract with BT all would be taken care of and I wouldn’t need to pay any money.

It turns out BT weren’t contacted and a new phone line was put in so I am now paying for 2 separate TV/broadband packages. The cost to get out of my BT package is £340...

MYSTERIOUSLY, the recorded phone call can’t be accessed which would prove that Sky messed up, and I am now out of a lot of money whatever happens. Even if I cancel my Sky package, BT will be charging me to sort out the phone line again. On top of that I will need to pay for a new BT router as my old one was disposed of.

Also the Sky broadband connection is very poor. It consistently loses connection and frequently have to use 3G connection on my mobile devices.

broadband to my flat poached by engineers on 2 separate occasions from flats below me. On second occasion called sky who assured me it would be fixed. They refused to send out an engineer on the weekend but sent 1 out regardless on a weekday on 2 separate occasions when I was at work?!! 4 engineers & 2 months later & problem not fixed but assured by sky that I will be reimbursed for my monthly spendage - finally engineer fixed it with a simple solution & when I requested reimbursement for the £84 I was spending each month was told that they would only give me 1 weeks reimbursement because I wasn't around for the 1st engineer!!
Disgusting- if I could give 0 points I would

Sky Broadband is the worst service available and they are absolutely impossible to contact. Recommend using any other service!

I’ve never hated a WiFi so much in the entirety of my life, in fact I’m using my mobile data to write this. Countless hours of complete and utter **** WiFi is driving me crazy, paying for sky fibre too which is meant to be the substitute for the original **** of a broadband system. Definitely cancelling soon and using another broadband, most stressful time due to this appalling WiFi

My internets cutting out every 15 minutes and then regaining connection. Im an artist and my work needs to be uploaded to the web to make money, but im unable to do so as of the disconnects. Think its time to move to faster speeds and a more reliable source. Thinking maybe virgin media, because lets face it Sky your moto is 'believe in better', and you really have to believe there is better after suffering your robbing ways of putting prices up for loyal customers and reduced prices for new customers. Give your heads a wobble and get into gear because no uploading my work to the web means no money and no money mean I cant pay your expensive fees for Tv, phone, and internet. UPDATE your on demand catalogue while your at it. Infact im phoning you now to have you removed from my house, as your customer service is as rubbish and reliable as your internet. I'm believing in better!!.

Awful, avoid like the plague! Unless you want to repeat the same thing to some poor chirpy employee who sounds confused of why you want to cancel your subscription (probably employ actors as they must have the same conversation day, in day out)

broadband is shocking, so slow, not what you would expect in the "new city" of milton keynes, I had better speeds 15 years ago in another area of Milton Keynes.
