Went to the post office for two postage stamps after waiting in line for about tem minutes I walked to the clerk . I was informed by the clerk that she did have change for a $5 bill and told me to go to the next clerk. I walked out after getting back in line and waiting for another 15 minutes with only two clerks at the windows and about 12 people waiting to be serviced. This post office really need to hire more people and get their workers to work more efficiently. The clerks really need to improve their customer service etiquette because without the customers you would not be working at the post office. The waiting in this post office is extreme.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. No broadband, no incoming calls for weeks, chaotic customer services, eventually had to go to another service provider, still want to charge me for leaving. Appalling !

Just awful. Every day it drops out for hours on end. I've had a few days in a row where it does not work at all. Every day I have to reboot it several times. Customer support was good. They reset it from their end, gave me a new router and even got BT to change the telephone wire. However it just never works properly. Avoid at all costs.

I was told I could make a single payment to cover the entire 12-month contract. I have since found out that this is not possible. In other words, they lied to me. The customer service staff are uneducated and keep asking me what the problem is.

Absolutely the worst broadband. As i write this at 8.30pm I'm not seeing anything over 20 Kbps, yes 20! Between 2 and 3 pm while your at work and not using your broadband you might get up to 2 Mbps, if the wind is blowing the right direction that is. The router that comes with the package is sub standard and cant support multiple devices. Smart TV? Dream on. Want to sit down to watch iPlayer? i hope its 3am when you do. Our dealing with customer service wasn't too bad, got through quite quick and discussed it. After heavy persuasion, they did say if we couldn't get the service we wanted in the next week they would be able to cancel the service at no cost. So to all you stuck in a 18 month contract, pester away.

Can only speak from personal experience. I had a problem with broadband dropping off at various times rang post office and to be it took a few weeks to sort out but they were helpful and courteous did everything to sort out had engineers attend the property but couldn't find anything wrong. Eventually they put the line on 24 hour watch and did discover dropouts on the line. Post office were great at ringing me to keep me up to date so no need for me to keep ringing them, post office did all the leg work to correct the fault which eventually turned out to be a fault on the line from the green box to the exchange which bt corrected and now have a nice clear broadband. So to sum up it does take time as post office have to deal with bt and talktalk but it did get sorted, eventually.

I singed up to an 18 month contract I should have none that the first three letters of the world contract spells exactly what it is a con, should never have cost me more than £23 a month its now at £26-99 a month and when i've phoned to complain, I've been told to read the small print in the CON tract, can charge anything they want. Can't wait to get out of it

Customer service okay. Router signal weak and really flaky. Connection speed utterly abysmal, verging on unusable. Worst broadband performance I’ve ever had. Service from previous providers has been fine at same address. Couldn’t wait to leave and left at first opportunity. Won’t be going back.

I have never had broadband with anyone but sky but it was time for a change due to the increasing costs and not completely happy it’s range in my new house. (a small 3 bed semi.) On a whim one evening I signed up with PostOffice and then spent days panicking and wondering if I should cancel.
Anyway, changeover day and I didn’t have broadband my midnight. Still didn’t have it my 9am the following morn so I phoned. Turned out it wouldn’t connect fully until my home phone number was passed over from sky (even though I don’t actually put in w home phone, just use a mobile). This could take up to 48 hours. Not mentioned in the paperwork anywhere! Man told me I’d be compensated but just got first bill and it’s for full amount. In the end I was connected by the end of the day. And I must say I’m more that happy with the actual broadband.
It gives me more coverage in my own house than sky did.
I have a spot in my kitchen where my mobile would not connect to my to WiFi when on WhatsApp but it does with Post office. Sky rarely worked in my garden and I usually gave up and went onto 4G but I’ve been on full WiFi in my garden with post office. In my bedroom, upstairs, above the living room where WiFi hub was, I could only get WiFito use for Netflix on tv if bedroom door was opened but can now get it with door closed.
Today, tv was on which uses WiFi for amazon and Netflix (I have no aerial so reply completely on WiFi for tv) 4 iPhones connected, 1 laptop playing a movie and all was great.
Saw a review saying that it won’t connect to WiFi printers but it connected to mine via the wps button on the WiFi hub.
So, a couple of issues to start with but now it’s up and running it’s better than sky. Shame I’ll need to move again in a year when the price goes up!

This broadband is rediculous I had been on this broadband for 1 year before realising they had put down the wrong address and then they was blaming us for it after we told them lots of times, my neighbour was going crazy, I do not find this funny and they should take responsibility for there actions. I pay £20+ every fortnight and the internet is so slow its not usefull for streaming because it just goes red on the box. I don't recommend this to anybody because I am ashamed to do so it is good for the price but not worth the hassle at all.

Awful service!! Awful broadband speeds!! Awful customer service!! Theft of money from customer bank accounts!!
I swapped from BT as after a year BT's price rise was astronomical. I'd been with PO before and had a no-fuss service so switched.
I'm in a rural location so I expect slow speeds, but not <1mbps on average after promising 1-3mbps minimum and having had 3.5mbps from BT.
After complaining post office told me this is because they cannot afford good routers and servers. It took 6 months of repeated calls and hundreds of speed tests that I had to report for them to acknowledge they were providing an inferior service (speed too low to load a facebook photo!) and to release me from my contract.
They then fluffed up my final bill, didn't register my service had ended and kept sending bills for a service which had already ended, taking more than £134 in 2 months (when my monthly bill had been £23). Multiple calls to them led to my having to start from scratch with my explanation of the problem each time as they did not read their own notes, repeatedly get told incorrect information and take the customer service person through the process of recognising they had confliciting end dates and bills in their own system. Each time they acknowledged their error, appologised and promised to set it straight...then more unauthorised money would be stolen from my bank without warning, which led to overdraft charges.
It was only when I threatened to go to the police to have them charged with the theft that they sorted out the final bill showing I was in credit for the amount taken and would be repaid, but despite promising to put the money back immediately it still hasnt been repaid causing more and more overdraft charges.

Awful... never reached the predicted speeds, not even close couldn't even run 2 devices at once. Closed the account and was advise if I didn't return my router I would charged. I no longer live at the property and no longer have access and I have never been told I have to return a router with any other provider before; especially when you pay for it upfront? Also tried to upgrade due to the package never reaching it's advertised speed and I would have had to sign up for another years term.... and that was NOT happening.
Didn't bother with customer support knew from many reviews it would waste my time but was average when I called to close the account. Online chat is never available and the fact I couldn't close my account online like so many other utilities providers allow you to do now was hard with the hours I work clashing with their call centres more often than not.

Worst customers' service ever! The admin and accounts teams are highly incompetent, technical support totally inept.Their website and customers' service phone line are useless, which speak volumes about them. f you have a problem they'll manage to make it worse, with no reference or names to go back to.

After all the promises of reliability if I upgraded to fibre I still have the same problems, I am just paying more for the same rubbish.

We have complained to the PO about the atrocious speeds we receive for a very long time and they simply do not care. After a sustained effort on our part we managed to get an engineer to our house. He took a reading and we had an amazing 5 mbps! We never knew such speeds were even possible as our best days are 1.5 mbps. He had not left the drive in his car before we were at 2.5 mbps and within half an hour we were at 0.5 mbps. Spooky eh? Today we have 30 kbps which is the motivation for this review. Contacting them is a glimpse into hell.

I shop around for Broadband every year and other than Sky, Post office has been the worse. The broadband speed was ok but it dropped several times a day every day, didn't seem too bad at the start of the contract but by the end was about 4 times a day. Switched to Plusnet, speed has doubled and connection is reliable. wouldn't go back to Post office

Horrendous in every way..I first tried to cancel my contract prior to my service going live. I did leave it till the last minute but nevertheless I should have been able to due to their T's and C's. They told me their T's and C's had changed!!!..Although their literature I had in my hand, had NOT been changed..They would not budge and the service went live. 2 months ago I received notification that my Bill was about to increase !!...BT warned me this would happen. They draw you in to a "good value" 18 month package and then increase the cost after 4 to 6 months....I have Not had a working landline since Sunday 16th October.....Despite sending an email daily.I did not hear back from P>Office until Wednesday 19th Oct....They told me it was an external fault and they would report it to BT... It is now 25th Oct and I still dont have a working land line....I sent an e mail yesterday and today and still no response...offer of compensation or explanation. Utterly Useless....
The Broadband has been painfully slow and my modem needs rebooting about 8 times daily.
DO NOT under any circumstances use the Post Office as a service provider...They are expensive and Customer Service is Non existent ....Stick with the Devil you know...

7 Days into my contract thought there would be a cooling down period where you can cancel if your not happy with the service but no apparently you can only cancel for 14 days up to your activation date! which means when you realize how bad there service is your stuck with it for a whole year! they will trick you into a contract by offering you a low monthly rate but is not much good when you realize that your Amazon Fire Stick doesnt work and all they can say is wait 10 days for optimisation of your hub, and can i cancel if i'm still not happy yes of coarse they say as long as you pay us £140!. They have no faith in there service which is why they wont allow you to cancel once you have tried it, how can you tell if your happy if they wont let you try?

Terrible service from PO Broadband.
Been with them for 6 weeks.
Was fine for first three weeks then started having problems with router not showing Chromecast as being on network despite chromecast and other devices being connected to internet through the router.
Phoned tech support, first time talked me through some settings, but no solution. Got email from them admitting problems with chromecast and wireless printers.
Second phone call to tech support, guy didn't know what a Chromecast was!
Recommended I contact router manufacturer Zyxel directly for support, tried that but they were uncontactable.
Unbelivable poor service from PO Broadband.

POST ORIFICE
AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Horrendous svc full stop.
These clowns have the cheek to send a final payment demand (TWICE) for a closed account that I calculate is paid up.
Customer svc is a joke, don't reply to emails / & an 0345 number for customer svc's... I'll never ring them, if they want the claimed final payment they can kiss my crack...Or ring me & I'll put them on hold for 30mins...see how they like it.
P/Orifice went up to £30p/mth from £18.99 with no notice of contract ending, so Looked elsewhere, got Plusnet @ £16.99 p/mth faster B/band, a few router teething issues, all seems good now though.
B/Band deals in general are a rip off, don't be ripped off by these morons.. Look elsewhere is my advice, never again would I use P/Orifice.

I wish i had read these reviews before i jumped head first into a contract with this broadband provider. I get less than half of the promised internet speed they said i would receive. Most nights its only just capable of checking emails, if i want to steam a movie then i have more joy hot-spotting my mobile phone as the home broadband cant even load the initial intro.
the fact that your right to cancel the service if you are not happy expires the day before you go live is an absolute joke. This does not allow you to even see or use the internet to make an informed decision on their product.
i have now been in a three week post office battle and i feel this could go on much longer as i refuse to pay £200 to get out the contract when i falsely sold it in the first place.
AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Would have been 5 stars for all if they didn't start constantly lowering my speed.
It started off good but it is getting worse and worse as the months go on. It works most of the time but the speed is what is causing the problems.
I had around 11mb download at the start of my contract, 16 months later I'm down to barely 1mb download.
It was worth the money when I first signed up, it certainly isn't now.

Totally messed up my switch through their own incompetence, leaving me without broadband or phone for 3 days. I work from home and rely on both. I cancelled immediately and they are now trying to bill me a couple of hundred pounds. They will be talking to the Ombudsman shortly and compensating me. If anyone is tempted by their offers; DON'T DO IT!
