I had EE broadband for 18 months before requesting them to do a home move. After moving into our new property we had problem after problem! There was a problem with the line, with our broadband box, technical faults, problems with the line again. Cut to 5 weeks after our move and internet STILL wasn't activated. Not only that but we were threatened with being charged for an engineer to come out and see what the problem was.
I can't emphasise this enough - do NOT go with EE Broadband. Awful service. By contrast we got so fed up and cancelled our account despite having 3 months worth of credit at this point. Virgin Media had the box with us and the line active in 48 hours AND gave us a couple of weeks free service as a thank you for switching.

DONT GO WITH EE!! Period! Their technical support-which you will need - are totally clueless-I figured out how to fix my own internet problem while on line to them as they ?consulted manuals on what to do.They told me my laptop was faulty- absolute rubbish! They might as well say "to repair your broadband you need to go away and eat baked beans on toast!"Total numpties. I went for this contract for the free £100 amazon gift voucher which is coincidentally(?) now due for pay out- now my broadband is awful-I cant use it- and obviously want to go elsewhere-but I will lose my £100 voucher if I do. My advice - Steer cleer of EE.

EE Broadband is absolutely shocking! Internet is so slow, it becomes 'limited' so often that it's better just using 3g or 4g which is way quicker and reliable. Everytime someone calls, the internet disappears which is not good considering my work is based on using the computers.. Absolutely disgusting and waste of money..

I don’t know about other people but Iv always had good customer service, even when my internet had stopped working. EE gave me free data when I had no internet for three days. Iv had an EE engineer come out and very honestly said that, fibre internet isn’t in my area and not to get it if an EE sales person rings me to upgrade. I can’t fault EE, yes they are expensive but I would never go with virgin or sky or BT, as their customer service is terrible. Doesn’t make sense if BT took over EE, why does EE internet work fine in my area, but BT internet doesn’t. Very strange.

Connection goes down several times a day, often not returning for hours at a time. EE themselves are very unhelpful. It's been ongoing for months, and has gotten to the point where I've had to upgrade my phone contract (thankfully not with EE!) because I'm using so much data thanks to having to tether my phone because my EE broadband is ALWAYS DOWN!
Do yourself a favour, DO NOT sign up for broadband with EE! It is a nightmare.

cut me of for no reason at all joined sky and they keep sending letters asking for £11 21 saying they have disconnect my services and close my account and giving me 30 days to pay this amount before they take further action to recover the outstanding debt wich may include referring my account to a dept collector I wrote a letter back to them saying they had already disconnected my internet and landline saying when I rang them that someone with a different phone number had canceled my contract with and ask me to set another contract up with them and said it would take 14 days but they would reconnect me within 7 days I canceled the contract the next day and joined sky in theory they ee still owe me money because I was paid up every month sky router is far better than ee and the only time I had any thing to do with ee was by phone or email sky sent me all the contract papers and in my eyes a far better the ee who are a bunch of crooks

Can't really find any words of praise for EE, have been with them since 2012, and following the BT takeover of EE the broadband has been absolute rubbish, countless calls to India invariably were full of empty promises to sort it out, the number of engineers that have been booked to come and test the line, some showed up some didn't, those that did turn up kept telling me the issue was at the BT Exchange and they would escalate the report to the tech team in BT, but nothing ever happens, just carry on with drop outs daily and line speeds that are utterly dismal. The EE Executive Team are now dealing with the complaint, and quite frankly they seem to be struggling, booking and engineer to get the exchange line card replaced has been cancelled with no notice today after staying in specially as requested for the 5 hour AM slot. Best to steer clear of EE if you are thinking of being conned by their overly rated advertising.

This is the worst company in the world. i went with ee thinking i was getting away from what i though was the worlds worst company talk talk but as bad as they are ee make them seem perfect. only been with ee for about 3/4 months and had to raise a numver of complaints due to incorrect billing and customer service and moved home and took them with me due to refusing to pay cbf and they have just told me i will not be getting any broadband service untill the 15th of jan due to it being fiber and they can not put me on adsl untill then yet im paying for a service i cant use what a joke can not wait untill they put up the prices so i can leave this scam of a company or hopefully they get shut down first but how unlikely is that? my advise to anyone wanting to join ee is to run as far and as fast away from them they are nothing but theives.

This is the worst broadband ever! I stupidly agreed to sign up when I went to get my orange mobile contract upgraded and the sales agent convinced me that if I took out home broadband I would be saving a lot of money. How wrong! The agent said the internet was exactly the same speed wise as talk talk but this was completely untrue. The internet is painfully slow all the time and watching even a short youtube clip is virtually impossible. To top it all off, it's costing costing over a fiver a month more than he said it would and they are refusing to pay the cancellation fee from our old providers which the agent clearly said they would pay! My mobile service is also shocking with the network down on a regular basis. Of course I have tried complaining but every time I call I get put on hold until I give up after about 20 minutes or I get through to someone half way across the world who really doesn't understand what I'm saying. Be warned - STAY AWAY FROM EE!

I have been with EE for nearly two years now after switching from extortionate BT prices and incredibly poor download speeds.
I can honestly say it is the best decision I could have made. My download speeds are triple what they used to be and the price is very reasonable for the package that I have.
I have only ever had to deal with customer service once when my line went dead for a week and the customer service team were a little bit useless in providing information on the matter. But the issue was eventually resolved and credit was added to my account to make up for my lack of access.
That situation was over a year ago now and I have had absolutely no problems since and would highly recommend them to anyone in my area.

I was overcharged on one of my bills and when I phoned up and it was explained to me it was actually a miss-communication between myself and the engineer. However, the lady at customer service was brilliant, she spoke to her manager, explained the situation and they gave me a full refund on understanding it was the engineer's fault not mine. The issue was resolved quickly and the lady on the phone was brilliant at explaining everything to me. Thank you!

Was previously only able to achieve 3meg on the copper unlimited broadband, due to our distance from the exchange.
Fibre was launched in our area on the 10th April so we ordered the 40meg fibre basic package on the 13th.
Fibre was activated on the 2nd of May.
New Brigthbox 2 router is brilliant and we get the full 40meg and 10 meg upload speed. Downloaded a game via Steam to test speed at 4.5mbs a second! 4 gig data took 15 mins.
Slightly marked down on their customer service who were very inaccurate about our activation date. To their credit though, they gave us a month free in compensation for the inaccurate activation date information.
Some of the other reviewers on this site don’t seem to understand the limitations that cooper wire has on the speed of you connection from the local exchange and limitations of Wi-Fi technology.
For an accurate speed test connect via Ethernet to the router and run the BT wholesale speed test.

Wanted to rate no stars but wouldn't let me . Do not get we broadband . Paying for Fibre for the past year and a half , never had fibre speeds ever they have breached there contract with me , trying to get at least a years refund although I should get the full year and a half and compo for loss of earnings , currently in the process of sorting issue with ombudsman and going to ofcom and also seeking legal advice should I not get my refund . Promised refund and callbacks hasn't been done they tell u all diffrent things to fob u off , they provide u with the worst service ever , and still take your money . They won't even cancel your contract when u ask them to . They even try and charge I for engineers when your broadband doesn't work properly . Avoid at all costs . I will get bk with another review if and when this is all resolved .

Changed from Sky to EE has to be the worst mistake I made. I have or should I say supposed to have the highest broadband they do was poor at first but gave it a fair shot as I put it down to being new. I haven't even had it a month and I'm hating it. Internet cuts off and is slower than any I have ever tried. Why am I paying for "unlimited" "great speed Internet" which I do not receive.

Charged over £50 a month, wifi dropped numerous times time during the day. Dropped everytime you would use social media in phone whilst watching tv streaming sites.
Even sat next to the router the wifi would drop or be slow.
Had to use mobile data everyday and to connect to laptop to wfh as it would never work.
EE said that this was normal wanted to charge £600 for us to leave contract, compromised to £300 which it’s still ridiculous for a service that never worked.

I have had nothing but trouble since I signed up to EE. Within the first week the speed was ridiculously slow and can't go longer than 5 minutes without dropping off! I phoned and spoke to several different people who didn't have a clue what they were on about and after ELEVEN phone calls I threatened to contact trading standards and citiZens advice to see whether I had to pay for a useless service. It was then they suddenly sat up and said they'd send a technician round (although it would be at my expense if it needed any repairing even though the installer guy put a new line and new box in.) The technician who came told me the internet was set to the lowest speed and put it up a bit. It was ok for a few weeks but kept dropping off again. Final straw has come this morning when for the second time in a row they have taken £83 out my bank for a £19 bill. Will be contacting them this morning and informing them I WILL be contacting trading standards this afternoon. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

Do not sign up to EE broadband it's slow really really slow.I have just cancelled my contract after 8 weeks of calling what felt like every other day trying to get them to sort the speed out, but to no avail. The customer service representatives were nice and tried to help but the actual broadband service is useless.

Can't wait for my contract to end. The broadband speed is truly dreadful. We had no problems with our previous sky but being greedy we were tempted by EE's offers. I would gladly pay double to get a decent speed again.

Recently switched to EE to save myself £7.50 a month for 12 months. Was really not worth it. The speed is awful and that's when you can actually access the internet. Save yourself the hassle and don't go anywhere near EE!! Just got to get out of the contract now and go back to my previous supplier!

Over 3 weeks I've been trying to get them to sort out the broadband. Its fine for about a minute, then the speed drops to nothing and stays like that til you restart the download. They told me they have booked engineers 3 times and they have never turned up. The first 2 times there is no evidence on my file as having booked one - so they were lying. You phone up to cancel and they pass you on to the faults department. Its the faults department that is making me want to leave. Cancelling the direct debit as they are worse than useless

Very poor service. Internet is very slow and quite often cuts out altogether. Customer service can only do a connection test to test if you're connected. Can't move provider as they wont cancel the contract even though half the time we are paying for no service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. WORST BROADBAND EVER!!!!

Worked out of the box when delivered back in Nov 2014 cant complain about speed as getting 13MBS compared with 1.5MBS before upgrade
Strangely BroadBand username and password settings bore no relation to those on the card in the box...It worked so I left it alone..
Stopped working monday evening and was unable to get through to customer services on Tuesday before travelling to Europe
Back today and spent an 45 mins in an EE shop trying to contact Tech support...No answer again
My son found some info on the net so we logged into the router and changed the Broadband user name and paswword to the ones on the card..Didnt work
Bit of messing around with the username and it finally accepted it with the suffix @fs .....
Can only assume the Router was setup under a default account IE Not mine...EE discovered this and killed it....
This is poor service especially when you cant even talk to someone...
Dont even think about using EE for home Broadband unless you are VERY Technically confident....Im no expert but do this for a living....

This service is an absolute joke!
been with this company now for a number of years at the same time as BT.
the internet connection is rubbish, download speed crap. internet cuts out at least 5-10 times a day!
every weekend the internet cuts out and the customer service are not very helpful at all.
I would advise anyone who is looking for a new server not to use these!
utter joke of a company!
As i write this the internet has cut out twice already!

DON'T DO IT - dont be tempted. EE are the worst provider ever and have terrible customer services. you cannot contact them unless you also have a mobile with them. Staff are rude and don't do anything they promise. still spamming me with texts after 18 months despite me asking to opt out through various channels. please chose someone else, litterally anyone else.

The worst customer experience I have ever had with a company. tried to move broadband when I moved house and took over a month. Was misinformed about progress and what the issue was several times along the way and now the broadband speed isn't great. no acknowledgement from them that my experience was awful and seemed happy to then try asking me to upgrade to a better service. Avoid at all cost. when my contract expires I will be switching. they should be ashamed if they think they are offering a good service.

Garbage!! EE Broadband = Absolute garbage. Do not go to this rip-off organisation for broadband. I can hardly download an email let alone a video. Slow isn't the word!!!!! 1.2Mb/s is about the speed.....that is narrowband NOT broadband. No matter how many complaints I make to them NOTHING improves. Oh! and a price hike mid contract too!!! DO NOT GO TO EE!!!!!

My parents now have this monstrosity providing their home internet. I was out of country for almost two years, so therefore was unable to advise them against the change. Upon trying to it to play some online games on my laptop, I was greeted with speeds akin to late 90's DSL, or even dial up. I don't know how any internet can be this crap in 2015.

I was on BT Infinity for 18 months and decided to move the line and broadband over to EE fibre broadband to save a few pounds.
I wish I hadn't - for the small amount I am now saving it wasn't worth it.
Here are some reasons:
1. During the transfer for some reason my BT account was left active so I was still getting billed from BT as well as EE - it took a lot of phoning up to get this sorted and i am still waiting for a refund from BT.
if you are considering moving providers I would suggest your manually call up your old provider to make sure your account is closed.
2. EE operate traffic management which means I cant use the internet for certain types of internet use during peak hours - 18.00 - 01.00 M-F or 13.00 - 00.00 at the weekends. This is really annoying. I don't download any torrents but rather I use a VPN connection which always worked fine on BT but is unusable on EE.
3. The EE supplied broadband router is in my opinion inferior to the BT router (which is saying something). When my or my girlfriends iphone are connected to wireless web pages or apps freeze and have to disable and enable wifi to fix it. this happens all the time to both our phones. was always fine on BT.
4. When you move your phone line and broadband from BT you have to separately cancel BT sport or they start charging you £12 a month for it - so watch out for that.
I now have 18 months stuck on EE.
I learnt a lesson - you get what you pay for.
BT aren't perfect either but my advise would be to stick with them.

"Upgraded to EE fibre Optic broadband from free orange standard broadband. From day one it has been the worst, unreliable broadband I've had to date. Absolutely rubbish customer service, who tell you to do the same old crap time and time again. Absolutely disgusted at this provider, can't wait for my contract to end!!!! Constand low speeds of 3 to 10mps at very very best when I was promised and pay for 39mbps!
Save yourself the crap and don't even bother!
