My advice is if you are thinking of switching to EE...don't. It is truly woeful. They offered to upgrade for a small amount of increase 3 months ago when the service didn't work and now they have offered to upgrade for a further £12.00. The internet is wholly unreliable, seems to go off during the day when clearly they are on repairs and it is a thoroughly miserable experience all round

Even writing this short review is painful. Regular download speeds of 0.3mb. Haven't watched a film to the end in months. Such a waste of money. Due to swap providers on 4th September and it can't come quickly enough.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. I did a big mistake stake to change from the previous provider to ee. The speed is a stupid joke especially after 7pm. I absolutely do not recommend ee as a internet provider

When I joined they waved the connection but they cancelled the engineer's visit and by the time it was installed it took me just outside the 2 weeks cool off period. Then the first time I used the landline, it was terrible, sounded like I was in a rain tunnel. I phoned them to cancel the contract only to be told...you have guessed...couldn't do it as it was just outside the 2 weeks. After more calls and to placate me they gave me a month's free and promised to send the engineer for free only to charge me £80.50 some 3 months later. I had to ring them for the refund numerous times and still waiting at the time of writing this. I made contact with BY Opne Reach who advised me to request the engineers report ( he clearly told me at the time that it was their line not my equipment). When I did just that, finally they agreed to refund the charge but still waiting. Bottom line: they will promise anything until they get your signature on the dotted line. The staff in the UK are very good but once they transfer you to "Technical" you can forget of any sense. In my case I feel like they induced in the contract under false pretences, promised something they could not deliver. AVOID AT ANY COST!!!!!

I were with orange network since it first came about, that is until they all joined up with their little clicks with each other!!!!!! What a bad move that they've all made, because now being with EE Which are the worst company I've ever done business with, and due to all their defrauding's they've done to me, This then drags every other phone companies that are now under their umbrella company suddenly ties them in with them..
When I phoned about why my service had gone down I called them to see why I couldn't connect due to it stating the service were down and were working hard to get it back up and running, only to find I had been cut off, not only this but I ended up speaking to a person that could barely speak English at all, and his seriously bad manners were enough to make me nearly swearing to say the least, I were informed I owed £22s but checked with my bank, to find I were upto date, which I then told him this, But I were shouted at down the phone and called a stupid bitch, this fired me up to say the least, but I were not allowing him to stoup to his level, Which I then asked his name and where he were working from, he continued to battle with me when I repeatedly asked his name, and suddenly laughed at me down the phone stating his name began with R and stated his name were Jacob,
I've never been treated the way I were, and despite the fact of me saying I would be reporting him, I were laughed at down the phone. I were horrified by such behaviour of so called customer services.
The following day by daughter checked the bill and the way EE got away with disconnection were that it were one day out from my direct debit.
I've had so much hassle from continuing issues with their broadband and phones always going wrong and nothing being done about all the issues I've had with them and everything wrong with their phones too, they have also taken money from my account when payments were not due, and then they e taken money again on the actual due date, which are their being paid twice in one month, and then have denied the fact by saying I were behind on payments, despite having the proof in black and white.
So I'm now refusing to pay them another penny, if anything its them that owe me and also to be paid compensation for the way I've been treated.!!!!.
Defiantly a company to stay away from without a doubt...

I received a cold call to join EE broadband a year ago on a 18 month contract. I was told that it would be "cheaper & faster" than my sky broadband I had at the time which was giving me download speeds of around 10Mbps.

I agreed to join - paying a severance fee to Sky.

Unfortunately, since I switched over the internet speeds were very slow <1Mbps and sometimes the internet completely dropped. I raised the issue multiple times with EE and did all that they said to remedy this. It was always slow and the drops in connections kept happening.

Ultimately, after a while EE sent an engineer who was able to get me speeds of up to 6Mbps (albeit for a short time) but the drops in connection got worse. I was fed up and kept raising the issue.

Finally, at end of December I asked to leave the contract without paying the severance. They said that is not possible and I need to give a formal notice of leave and then they have 30 days to try and fix the issue. I did that.

They sent someone round and tried a few things but the issue wasn't solved. I gave my notice at end of Jan and EE informed me I need to pay the severance fee. Their explanation was that the issue that I raised was "fixed" when they put in a solution and any future issues I have are treated as a new issue and hence for their part they have fixed my issue. I have raised more than 15 issues in the time I was contracted to EE - all of which are apparently closed. And because of this I am to pay a severance fee when I leave EE.

To top it off they have the nerve to call me yesterday to incentivise me to stay with them. You can guess what my reply was!

Overall Broadband speed is ok but I sometimes lose signal if I'm in the kitchen or bathroom. My biggest gripe however is the lies that they tell you. I was told that there wouldn't be a deposit as I'm already with EE which is why I chose them in the first place so imagine my shock when my first bill went out and it was £73! That was after having my broadband up and running after for only 3 days with the month before being without it working as the work hadnt been done on any of the days it was supposed to be done. I also set up for my bill to go out on the 8th of each month so I know I have the money to pay it which is why they set it up for the 5th instead

Pay as you go data sim. Overall coverage and speed is good, however. The web site is rubbish and topping up or buying more time is unbelievably painful and unreliable. I have been without service for days at a time because I have been unable to purchased more time. The customer service really is an absolute joke. They commit to do things such as refunds or add extra time and then do nothing. They promise to fix the issue and call back but the issue is not fixed and the call back never comes. I have spent over 4 hours on the phone to the CS centre over the last 3 months. The representatives do not know the system and give misleading or just plain incorrect information. The merging of these organisations has been a fiasco for customers. This company is the single most frustrating organisation I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Do yourself a favour, look elsewhere for your mobile services.

It is hard to describe this broadband. I've read the reviews here and it seems that EE are just as Rubbish wherever you live, they know it and can't care less. I was misold this. Promised 20Mbps. Can only get 1.2 to 1.5Mbps.....when it works. Sometimes I cannot log on. Dire broadband. Sensationally slow to the point of making streaming totally impossible. I have rung EE "customer service dept" 13 times now. Nothing has changed...but nothing. This is the worst broadband provider that I have ever signed up with. False information and no support service coupled with a lousy and totally unuseable broadband make this company one to avoid. Oh...and to top it all they introduced a mid-term price rise after promising the payment would not increase for the duration of the contract....! This company is a fraud!

This is by far the worst broadband provider I have ever used.

I was told by email and text that 'Everything was good to go' and that I would be connected on a certain day. This never happened. So, of course, I phoned EE to find out why I was not connected and I was told that an engineer had to make some adjustments the next day. No one from EE had called to let me know this, no text or email.

So I have had the broadband for a 6 weeks now and it has finally ground to a halt. Download speeds of 1.8mbs being the norm, while I am promised a minimum of 17mbs.

Several calls from someone, obviously not in this country, have proved pointless. I am going to switch providers even though I am 'tied' to an 18 month contract. They can take me to court if they wish as they are not providing the service the promised.

Truly pathetic company, promised everything, delivered nothing.

as of now I have had 5 ee routers all keep going faulty, We have just found out the problem!!, I am a ham radio and have got a hf antenna on my roof and according to bt it is my radio that is blowing the routers with rf affecting the routers, because ee only supply cheap routers they are no good for me, ee want me to buy a 3rd party router and they will pay upto £50, but as I have told them if that router goes faulty in 12mth time will you buy another one NO they say ??, I am on a 18mth contract and they will not let me go with out paying them £105 "half of what I owe", it is not my fault if the routers are not up to the job.
I did not have any problems with other suppliers IE sky/talktalk, I think the only way round this is to stop the dd from my bank as the customer services are useless.

Big mistake switching to EE. Great talk from sales person on ease of switching, speed of service - even gave me a personal email address if I had any problems. Needless to say all rubbish. EE take over the line then all goes dead - no phone, no BB and very poor contradictory response from EE. AVOID THEM USELESS

Okay I don't know why everybody is giving EE bad reviews. I have never had any issues whatsoever and have been with them for roughly 5 months. Speeds are good...download 13Mbs during peak times. They do throttle P2P during peak hours which is good as it doesn't slow down everybodys connection who are connected to the same exchange. There are obviously ways around this but it seems to stop most people who aren't too technical from using P2P. I play a lot of online games and get acceptable pings. Used their customer services once and was acceptable. The only problem I think I have is that I sometimes get packet loss when playing online games, but to the majority it will not be an issue. My service has never gone down so far. And their is no download/upload limits. I seriously can't complain.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! were were close to three weeks without broadband. Despite being told in the shop that we wouldnt have to do anything and the whole changeover would be seamless. They should not be saying this as they have to rely on a thridparty (BT) to change over the service and if there is a delay there they have no control over this whatsover. I made numerous calls to get our connection expedited without much luck. half of the calls i made the line was so bad i couldn't hear them properly and some of the calls to offshore call centres had trouble understanding and speaking plain enmglish. Now that we are connected the speed is pathetic at times ...cant even listen to the radio via my phone without it constantly being interrupted. connection often drops while watch film/tv. It really is awful. i will be changing to a different supplier as soon as i am able to.

Terrible, when first installed the connection was poor, I called customer services and they said I should buy a booster. I live in a town so not exactly in the sticks. Ive been having problems again lately and they said they needed to send an engineer out. Failed to show twice, had to wait in half a day both times. Now on hold and have been for 40 mins trying to get through. To put salt in the wound they issued my bill today.

I was talked in taking EE's broadband when I rang to upgrade the mobile phones on my account. I decided to take the fibre package, it worked out cheaper than the current a Sky package I had which wasn't fibre and was supremely slow.
While it doesn't work 250m from the house, as promised, I am very happy with the service we received and with the product so far.
There was a one day delay in our fibre going live, so we were without internet for one day, but were at work anyway for most of it and as EE had given me a 10GB boost on both iPhone tariffs for taking the fibre package, we had that anyway so it was all good.
The fibre went live the next day, rather late on and I had to call a couple of times to get it sorted. Was actually dreading it after reading the reviews on here (after I'd ordered the package too - made me feel like cancelling it!)
Anyway, I spoke to a total of three technical support guys over two phone calls, two were English and one Indian, all three were extremely helpful and knowledgable. The fibre when it came on that evening was so fast that my husband and I couldn't actually believe it! It's been a couple of weeks now and the speeds are astonishing, downloading hour-long episodes of an American TV series that I watch used to take about an hour each and now they download in about four minutes. I am a very happy customer and would recommend EE's fibre package to anyone.

This broadband is so bad I mean bad as in lousy! No other description fits. One lousy company intent on SC reading you for every penny without even trying to provide anything like an adequate service. How can they call it broadband??? Streaming is impossible. Freezes all the time and even the most menial tasks take for. And do not make the mistake of contacting their so called service department. Incompetent and completely uninterested. Just one totally lousy company. Don't even think about going near. Be warned!!!

Am with ee for both broadband and mobile, no issues with either. Good mobile coverage - internet too new to comment on speed/ reliability but so far so good. Moved from Vodafone recently. EE Probably the best customer service I've ever had- in stark contrast with Vodafone who I hated having to deal with. You get to speak to someone within minutes and they are helpful and communicative and happy to put things right. Would confidently recommend ee to friends and family. P. S. I'm not being paid to write this

I looked at the reviews and decided to add my own.
I have been with Freeserve, Wanadoo, Orange, now EE since 1998.
Forget the Indian call centres, they are a waste of space.
The rest of the above 3 categories have been good.
Many years ago when the free internet Companies folded my service provider then must have brought in more servers to cope with the influx of new customers.
I have had 17 years of good service, EE also looks after my phone line.
This has been my experience so far, if it isn't broken, don,t fix it.
Other companies quote similar prices for my broadband and phone line service.
I have always had reliable service, but forget the Indian call centres, they are rubbish.
I hope you get a similar experience from your provider, I'm 66 now and if EE remains as effective I will carry on with them into the future.

I'm writing this with my tail between my legs.
What a huge mistake I made. I left a perfectly good service with BT because of pricing and took up EE's offer.
It took 3 engineers to come out and when it was finally fixed my speed was nothing that was promised. I am now stuck for another 8 months in contract.
I will never EVER make this mistake again.
Word of advice, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
I am now crawling back to BT.

Service activated on a new line in September, initially speed was good, around 3.5mbps as I am far from exchange and cannot get Fibre. Then line speed dropped to 200kbps d/s and 440bps u/s, line was faulty, then fixed, but still faulty then fixed and still faulty, eventually got the service back up between xmas 2016 and the new year, initial speed was good (3.9mbps) but now dropped to 1.14(u)/0.440(d) mbps, nothing I can do to increase speed, to compare I have another line with another provider and steady sync at almost 5mbps d/s and 1mbps u/s. EE = toataaaaal R U B B I S H. But hey. BB only costs me £1.00 so I guess it's £1 per mbps then. Looking to break my contract as I have means of comparison and service is DIRE, customer service is a little better though, I complained and was led to a Lovely lady from "Executive Customer Relations" which is trying her best to help.

I cannot find the words to describe my frustration and anger at how awful this company is and how useless and unusable EE broadband is. I have just managed to get it to work after 48hrs of no internet AGAIN! THIS IS THE 16TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN 4 MONTHS!! I sometimes cannot even log on. When it works....WHEN...it is appallingly slow and I often use my mobile phone instead. My previous ISP's gave me non of these problems. EE's service department always have an excuse buy no reason and the promises that where made to me when I signed up for this EE contract have nowhere near been met. I( will never use EE again. AWFUL COMPANY!!!!!

Following a price increase I chose to change m package after more than three months, and many broken promises, and hour's of phone calls they were still unable to work out how to provide me with a service,as openreach were were unable to install fibre in my property. The final solution was a mini wifi, which didn't work, and technical support at ee were worse than useless,so I ended up without internet access

Very expensive at £32.50 a month over a 12 month contract. I found staff annoying and rude. Service poor and speeds random. Wouldn't use EE again.

I moved from Talk Talk which was a dreadful service to EE having been an Orange mobile customer for years. The Irish service team are friendly and helpful up to their limitations but despite having been assured they didn't have an Indian service support centre, guess what? They do and it's bloody useless. My main issue is that their landline 1571 does not allow me to personalise an outgoing answerphone message. I deal with clients who expect confidentiality so if they have to leave a message, they want to know that it's me they are leaving it with, not some generic woman's voice used by anyone. I would normally set up an outgoing message saying "Hi, it's *****, please leave a message or call my mobile the number of which is******". Impossible! Furious! I have e mailed them and told them I intend to break my contract if they cannot provide this basic facility. I also told them to call my mobile - at least they will know it's me because it has a personalised outgoing message on voicemail.

Please, Please, Please do yourself a favour and do not go near this company!

It's a shame that the review wont except 0 stars as a score. I had the misfortune to sign up with them after seeing a deal which looked to good to be true, it turned out the deal was for real but after 6 weeks and no broadband they should have paying me! The customer service was nothing short of appalling, call centre staff just transferring my call between departments without even telling me because they obviously didn't want to deal with my problem until I asked to cancel and then I got put to someone who was very helpful and actually agreed with me that their service was rubbish! Even though I was well over the free cancellation period the staff member waved all charges and agreed to give me a full refund, which finally raised my estimation of EE until a week later I received a bill for cancellation plus a full years line rental (which I had already paid)so instead of getting back £142 from them they were after a further £196.

I am still waiting for my broadband connection after 10 days.
Calling EE is a nightmare, if they do not know how to help you, they cut you off or keep you on hold indefinately. Been promised to be connected several times but nothing happens. Give EE a wide berth, they are less than useless

    Where do i start?
Service activated but no TV box.
Rubbish website, always confusing the mobile with the BB account.
101 different login id's, none of which seem to work properly.
No customer service to speak of at 23:00 not even, a chat line.
    Child protection settings - rubbish.
Switched from TalkTalk for better priced deal. Regrets!!!

I transferred to EE Broadband as they where promising good service and minimum speed 7mb. First they sent engineer round as they said they needed to put a new line in as they could not find any record of a line at my property. BT engineer came round and installed EE router but after he left it stopped working so along comes another engineer a week later. Then we start getting a service of about 1mb so rang and complained. EE informed me this is normal as the router need to learn my line capabilities which takes 10 days and they are unable to do any thing until this time had passed but assured me my speed would be 7 to 11mb. Ten long days passed and now had increased to 4mb so called and was informed that this is the maximum speed my line to do so I lodged a miss-selling complaint, I was informed this too would take ten day so once again I wait 11 days later still no phone call, I contacted them and was informed that they are still investigating as they had not received the phone logs but would get back to me by the end of the week. The end of the week came but still no contact from EE so I rang again this time spent over an hour on the phone and spoke to 6 different people one of which said that maybe if I'm not happy with the speed I should upgrade to fibre. I politely informed him no I just want what I was promised. I then said that they are breaking there T&C and that I wish to cancel service so they transfer me to retention team. After explaining the situation with them they informed me that I would have to pay £115 to terminate contract, can you believe this. So what ever you do DONT SIGN UP WITH EE BROADBAND
