EE it's a joke! I've signed contract on the beginning of December and today is 19th if February and I still haven't got internet and landline! Firstly they sent my router to the wrong address and later I've been promised every single week that engineer is going to cone to my place and Internet will be active. Ppl that work for customer service lie! I've spent around £40 for data coz I haven't got internet at home, alter few calls I got my money finally back. They said that for sure engineer is coming 23th to sort everyone out and signal will be alive since 26th of February, I said if engineer won't come on Tuesday I'm going to take EE to court

I am an Orange customer since 2006 and since EE bought it, things just getting worse.
Unable to top up by using EE SIM Menu in my mobile, but it's worked fine few months ago. Now every time i got the same message: Sorry, the Pay as You go service you requested is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
    GETTING THE SAME MONTHS AGO!!!
    THEN WHEN LATER?!?
Today i tried call customer service several times and the automatic voice told me every time: Sorry we are unable to processing your call. Good bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    WTF?!?!?!!!?
So i'm very disappointed now and would give NO STARS AT ALL!!!!

Would of given it 0 stars if possible!! Speed slows to unusable at peak times and not much better the rest of the time.
I had a fault and had to call the Indian call center multiple times. They ask u the same questions and u never get anywhere, Some just put the phone down. Told me there was a fault outside the house then sent an internal engineer. Given up now and just put up with the fault until the 12 months expires. DO NOT USE

My advice is if you are thinking of switching to EE...don't. It is truly woeful. They offered to upgrade for a small amount of increase 3 months ago when the service didn't work and now they have offered to upgrade for a further £12.00. The internet is wholly unreliable, seems to go off during the day when clearly they are on repairs and it is a thoroughly miserable experience all round

Fibre Slowband. I was persuaded to 'upgrade' from my quite reliable copper line broadband to EE 37Mbps fibre broadband, What a complete farce it turned out to be. Fine in the day but at busy times the speed drops to as low as 5Mbps! Streaming video content is impossible. The so called customer service is terrible. The off shore tech support team are pathetic. You spend hours trying to get help and it amounts to nothing. Some are rude, most are uninterested. Others put you on hold never to come back to you. I've been told on more than one occasion there is a system fault, try again tomorrow. Utter rubbish. The problem is contention ratio, either that or a deliberate traffic throttling policy. I'm not sure if any other provider is any better but I can say avoid EE at all cost if you want to retain your sanity.

We moved in August into new property in devon. We previously lived in north London and had super fast fibre optic broadband.

While moving I contacted EE to explain that our address is changed, at this point we would still like to remain with EE and just simply move our internet provider with us to the new address.

It all seemed fine, although they say it could take up to six weeks for it be installed, I wasn’t sure why it was quite so long. We had lots going on in the move so we didn’t bother pushing it.

While we waited for it to be installed I got a phone call while I was out shopping with my wife. They asked if I was happy with my broadband and if I would like to continue with them. At this point we had just moved and we had a lot on our plate so there was no reason why I wouldn’t say that I was happy.

After two months I got a phone call from EE, this wasn’t to say that our fibre optic broadband was installed but to say that they have just discovered that fibre is not available in our area! I then asked to leave EE as we hadn’t been given what we were sold. That’s not possible because the conversation I had in a busy supermarket now meant I was in another two year contract.

I tried to say that I had been mis-sold the package as I didn’t get told that I wouldn’t have fibre. They escalated this to their mis-sold department that would look into it (you have to worry that a company would have so many of these problems of being mis-sold that they have a department dedicated to it). Apparently I didn’t have a case and we were stuck with EE.

By this time we were desperate to have internet in our house. My wife and I both reply on it for work and we had been using our neighbours broadband while we waited for ours to be installed. I eventually said fine, just get it working.

Their phone technicians weren’t doing very well until I talked to this one guy in India who changed the settings on my router so that it accepted regular broadband, not just fibre. A light was on and we were finally getting broadband.

However as we used our broadband we discovered that the feed we were getting was really slow or nothing at all. Most of the time our electrical devices thought we weren’t connected to the internet and when we were it was slower than dial-up internet.

After lots more conversations with EE they sent me from person to person and decided to send out an engineer. The engineer arrived and put a booster on the system. While chatting with the engineer he wondered why we weren’t on fibre. I told him that we were told its not possible. He looked puzzled and explained that they simply had to plug our house into it, a relatively simple job. This was annoying but at this point I didn’t really care as long as it started working!

The engineer left, but as he left he left he said that there was a good chance it wont do anything. More than likely the problem is with EE. Reassuring words.

Sure enough there was no difference. I phoned EE again, they had a look at my plan and discovered that our plan was still set to fibre! And we had been paying for fibre! This person actually sounded helpful. She explained that we had been paying for the wrong kind of service and so the router couldn’t work with regular broadband because it was being delivered fibre… which apparently isn’t available anyway. She said that she would get the changes requested to make our contract into a regular broadband contract and make sure that we were reimbursed for our lack of internet over the past six months! That sounded great. She would phone back in just three days to get it all finalised… she didn’t.

After another week I phoned EE again and talked to yet another advised. This one was probably the most down to earth and realistic out of them all. First I told him what the other advised had said about changing over the plan so that it’s feeding in the right kind of internet. He said he could sort that out but he very much doubted it would do anything. However I needed to try anything that was suggested so we went for it. He did make sure we got six months of free broadband, which I’m grateful for… if there broadband. He also sent a new router just to tick every box we could think of. I thanked him but I could tell from his tone that this wasn’t going to get me anywhere.

Sure enough it didn’t improve. This leads me to today. After trying absolutely everything for the past seven months the only thing I could do was insist that they let me leave so that I could see if another provider could do any better. I phoned and was greeted by a lovely lady. I explained my story and she put me on hold while she went to her manager to see what they can do. She came back and to my shock not only said they couldn’t end my account but that when the contract was changed over to regular broadband, after their six month mistake of having on fibre, it was now another new contract and any problems that I’ve had before are now VOID! Seven months of trying to get things fixed and they are now choosing to ignore all the efforts that have been made to try and fix it.

After battling this out over the phone they ended with sending out an engineer again and escalating the package to the mis-sold department… again. I know that this is very much a first world problem but not having internet effects my work, and therefore my income… and makes my wife angry.

We have had huge problems with our EE home broadband, since moving house at end of August. Firstly, it took them almost 5 weeks to provide us with broadband at our new address, various 'go live' dates were given, none complied. When we finally got connected, the speed has been unstable and very slow a lot of the time. A truly appalling experience which maybe explains why we are moving to a new provider next week!

I would not recommend EE to anyone. I have had a year of trying to resolve issues with my mobile phone, temperamental signal, a complete error with the Broadband and Landline phone and the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I could say more but I'm fed up with it all and wish I had never changed to EE.

ive now gone to bt and will never go back im always getting speeds over 10 Mpbs during the evening .

just doing this review as i would like to save someone from making the same mistake as me and entering a 12 or 18 month contract and getting rubbish service

ee totally ignore your consumer rights. they mislead you with wrong advice/information. they are unhelpful and stubborn. they ignore your consumer rights which is a criminal offence. they remove and block you from their ee facebook site. they don't give a dam about you. they are operating outside the law. report them to the ombudsman. it costs you nothing and costs them several hundred pounds. I don't know of any other large company that operates in such a disgraceful and illegal way.

The mobile network I found to be very good
so because of this we got EE broadband hoping for the same quality
No it is so un-reliable and i usually find it cut out at least twice a night and even when it does work it is slow compared to other broadbands
    it is a scam
I was applauded by the low quality and after reporting the issue many times and still no improvement or any action on there part at all I am disgusted
I hope anyone considering EE will learn from my mistake and go to BT

It has been nearly 3 weeks since activation. I am still experiencing internet drop-outs every day. I am unable to watch a movie on my PS4 (streaming) without it buffering at least 10 times!
The customer service is DIRE! Technical support is ALL based in India (or somewhere similar), 90% of the things they say will do.....they dont! They seem incapable of making sufficient notes about your call, and as I mentioned, do not action stuff they say they will e.g. a few times the agent has said they will credit my account with a free month, but subsequent phone calls revealed that the free month was NOT applied! despite (the 2nd time)my asking her to double check the credit had been applied.
Also, despite 4 calls about getting the eeTV (my reason for going to EE), they went back on their marketing blurb (eetv available to folks taking out broadband of at least 9.95 per month), and after TWO months i finally got bullied into changing my 31.70per month sub to 35.70 in order to get eeTV! I am locked into an 18mo contract.... :(

EE are absolutely useless. Only one person can use a mobile/tablet, can't use a tablet and Netflix at the same time. Constant very, very slow internet, on a speed test the upload speed doesn't even register. I have phoned customer services several times and although they are polite and helpful nothing changes regarding the non existent speeds. Definitely wouldn't recommend going with EE

I can't say I've been impressed with EE Broadband at all, the broadband speed/reliability has been great their customer service is terrible! If you're joining them they're great, your best friends but if you have an issue they're far from helpful! I had to wait 3 months for my broadband to become active, then to find I wasn't reviewing fibre, YET I was paying for it, and even after phoning twice to correct it, it was only when I cancelled the TV service, which I'll be reviewing later they've finally reduced it, you get the occasional nice people but overall I'm not satisfied at all. Wish it could've been a better review but.....I can't say anything positive :(.

If only I'd read these reviews before I switched to EE! On switchover day I received a text to say my broadband would be switched on 8 days later and a call to customer service did nothing so my first experience of EE service was to lose my broadband for over a week. Asked customer service if they had a formal complaints procedure and was given an address to write to but weeks later I've still not had any response whatsover. Today I've had an email from them saying I've missed my first payment because my credit card may have expired (it hasn't) and therefore I owe them an administration charge. Link to 'update payment method' online doesn't work so I can't check what details they have wrong. I phoned customer service just now to sort it out that way but after 20 mins of queuing the phone went dead. I don't think I've ever known a more inept company in my life.

This is a must NOT buy ISP!
I had Virgin, Sky, BT, TalkTalk none had problems, and now am stuck with EE luckily am going back to Virgin as they provide best internet in UK. EE is one of the most awful providers ever, not to even mention their customer service, one of the most terrible services you could imagine. The person on the other end doesn't give a damn what you say, they ask you if you tried to turn the router on and off, they do a connection test which doesn't tell anything and lastly they will make you pay £50 for an engineer to come and visit your house to fix an internal problem with your dial-up box. If you had an internal problem you can simply fix it yourself, nothing hard just YouTube it. Apparently there is never a problem with EE it's always you, the router or the line. What a load of bollocks. Internet keeps cutting off, impossible to play video games, PING 500 :D. When I call them they say my internet connection is very stable and there is no problem. Ahh screw you EE am so happy am never gonna have to come across EE ever again.

I thought I would add my review of this totally joke of a broadband package. Just had a mid contract price hike on my "fixed for 18 months" contract. BAD, BAD badly slow download speeds render ee broadband all but useless. No point ringing customer service as there is no service. Cannot understand how anyone can think this is good broadband. NEVER AGAIN...AVOID!!!!!!!

I am writing this as a balancing exercise, reviews are often biased towards negatives as those experiencing poor service feel the need to share their issues whereas those experiencing a quality service just take it for granted (the service is just as it should be) and make no comment.
My own personal experience of EE has been good speeds and very reliable.
Customer service though rarely used has been prompt and efficient.
A recent fault resulted in crackling on the phone and seriously reduced broadband speed.
This was correctly identified as a fault on the local loop and passed by EE to Openreach for a home visit.
It was resolved in a few days, the fault being located as a bad joint on the outside of the house where the underground service cable had been extended to continue to the master socket.
The only other issue I have had in my years with them was a loss of internet for 2 days, but that affected multiple ISPs across most of northern England and wasn't under their control.

Thought I would add a decent review to counter balance the negative. I was offered to upgrade from broadband to fibre broadband. Negotiated a decent deal (comparatively), £30 for 12 months then £39 for 6 months for 38mb unlimited and anytime calls. The router arrived in three days. I was expecting some engineer to fit it but when my internet shut down last night I simply plugged in the new router and in about 10minutes I was up and running again. At which point I got an email telling me I had moved over to the new plan. Might have been better to send me the email before they switched me over !! Otherwise so far so good.

Just appalling, I have 38 meg fibre and it is frequently slower than sky 17 meg broadband. Numerous engineer visits,
Always blaming open reach, open reach are adamant there is no fault on the line and I know the engineer. Despite being hard to prove, but after extensive google diagnostics, they have to be traffic shaping. Shocking

Webpages begin to load then stop on any device, whether using Wi-Fi or direct Cat5 connection.

Talking to customer services, is so painful, they run a basic line test and then say everything is ok, and state nothing they can do.

I have now tried 3 modem/routers, a range of different DNS servers but the problem continues.

I never had this problem with BT Fibre ( yet they are now the same company ) only with EE.

    Avoid !!

From day one the speed was much slower than my previous provider Sky, and also they blocked certain websites that I used to be able to go on with a message that said something like "we are blocking this content because the website operates unlawfully"- like they are doing me a favour! That's my choice to make not theirs. I had to disconnect the wifi when I was making a phone call at home because it would automatically connect to wifi call and make the signal infinitely worse and / or drop connection. When I phoned and complained about this, the guy on the phone looked at my info and said "ahhh I see what your problem is, you've got our standard package". It's insulting that the service they sell you is the same one that they use to tell you that your internet isn't good enough. I will recommend all my friends and family to stay away from EE.

awful. we bought it to use with a new smart tv and even with the cable going to the tv it wont work for more than 10 minutes. wifi will work 50% of the time and to top it off we were promised a free gift when we joined up which we have never received. would not recommend.

    Can't comment on the connection...

    Never got connected...

Ordered over 6 weeks ago, called to find out what was going on with my order. Was told that my order had been cancelled...even though in their own letter it states the only way an order can be cancelled is if the customer cancelled....

I DID NOT CANCEL!!! And they could not tell me how it had been cancelled...Admitted to it being their fault...

Then was told I had to wait 30 days until the old order had cleared, before they could re-order... so as a patient man I waited and a week later they re-ordered it.

After 6 weeks of waiting and being messed around, I'm now called and told they can't get a connection in the local box...!?

WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THIS EARLY ON?

Shocking customer service, never got to try their service. But judging on my experience, maybe it's just as well I cancelled and went to another provider...

These clowns offered one of the best speeds and TV packages at the time. The ee TV never worked even tho its just digital free veiw with 4 or 5 extra channels. The WiFi router was always losing connection at least 3 times a week. The speed of the WiFi struggled to stream videos from my phone to my or from amazon prime to top it all off after we have swapped to a better provider we have had a very rude letter demanding there rubbish router and TV box back (wouldn't of minded a nice letter asking) bunch of *****

I switched to EE, from Hull based KC, a month ago, and have been 100% satisfied. They promised a minimum speed of 8mbps, which was faster than the 6mbps I was getting from KC. I've checked my speed almost every day, and it has never dropped below 17mbps, and has been as high as 35mbps, it's also very stable, so no more buffering problems with Netflix and Amazon Prime. Upload speed is also much better than KC. Recommended.

We live out in the country so the broadband and phone line is absolutely awful. No good if you don't live in a big town. Also with them on my mobile and can't get signal in Dromore. NO GOOD FOR COUNTRY AND SMALL TOWNS.
