I was told if I upgraded to fibre the service I get would so much better. Load of tosh, trying to watch Andorra v England and up to yet the garbage internet has buffered 30+ times ,absolutely abysmal service,that is if anyone can be bothered to answer the phone. Considering paying to get out of my contract. Hopeless ,inept,get the picture ????

I have cancelled my direct debit due to the fact I have tried to talk to someone about my contact only to be cut off every time. I have been unable to talk to someone and I've had enough of there service its bloody rubbish.

After being let down with talktalk not fulfilling their promise i tuned to directsave. i have been with them 4 month and to be honest i dont get a great speed (9mbps) but at-least it was up on t/talks at a fraction of the cost...Lets hear the good for directsave.

I left Talktalk early 2016 to join dst after 18 month of dissatisfaction with the corrupt talktalk. I'm now on cheaper broadband and better speeds with dst.After a couple of issues with dst in the early days, everything got resolved without problem.
b/b speeds, customer service and price are far better than talktalk. I'm happy.

I have no idea why this company is still allowed to trade... Never get a bill for the amount the contract is for, extra charges added on, charged for minutes on landline despite paying for free minutes, is this company a prank on society or something? No one wants to talk to you, they send you rubbish hardware that constantly disconnects.
For a broker they are terrible.. People need to know they are not actually a provider, they just sign you up with Vodafone (i found this out later) and sell you a £25 a month contract for £35, and more... In the end i had to leave and go directly to vodafone as they were not the problem. I'm still receiving threatening letters, but i refuse to pay it. Wasnt fit for purpose.
Avoid if you don't like rogue salesmen..God help the pensioners these people have savaged financially..

Sometimes the broadband cuts out but they seem to have fixed this for the price very happy with the service although the signal doesn’t seem to stretch far if you go outside which can be a pain if you have WiFi security cameras

A very good value and efficient service. I am very pleased with the way it was installed and with the online billing etc. Customer service has been very good.

Do NOT, under any circumstances, sign a contract with this company. They never provided the service or delivered the router. In the two months since I foolishly signed, I have spent hours on the phone calling them and their delivery company trying to get the router I paid for. I have been told it was on its way but no "tracking number" was available. Needless to say, it never arrived. After cancelling the service, they refused to release my old number to the new provider so I am now forced to either spend a few more hours on the phone or to get a new number. I will start now trying to get my money back via resolver....

This company should not be allowed to operate and Of-com sitting back doing nothing. Their customer service is below poor, they never respond to any email and they cannot be trusted as they do not deliver what they say they would. I have suffered a great deal of stress trying to talk to a manager who seemed to be always unavailable

Excellent customer service AND you get to speak to a real person, without having to go through endless menus!
Broadband speed isn't an issue for me as I do very little online, and to date haven't had any problems that haven't been resolved promptly.

Ok in terms of speed.Horrible experience with customer care.Very irritating explaining same thing to again and again to technical support.Barring one expert in technical support ,all others irritated me.Also termination team will go to any length ( on negative side) to keep the customer.One of them even used threatening terms which is not acceptable.Keep increasing their price and not very competitive in terms of pricing with new service providers.Almost went on to complain OfCom about their conduct and handling of the complaint.

Direct Save should be avoided (and ideally stopped from trading!) They cheat & mislead the customer into paying far more than for any of the supposedly more expensive providers (e.g. £54 charge for not returning the router which never worked and they didn't ask for the return of!). Also the contract defaults to a far more expensive one at the end of the initial period, but they don't tell you when this is about to happen, or when it HAS happened! Don't bother to complain either - "customer service" consists of a gang of rude oiks who will pretend not to understand their own language before helping.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the good reviews are from staff that work for the company.
I would NOT recommend them to anybody, every call would take me 25 minutes to get through, the staff did not have a clue and were rude to me on many occasions.
I would stay well clear of this company!!!!

AVOID AVOID !!!They took out £180 of our account without any warning Still in dispute with them They then terminated our line without any warning- Turns out bt engineer fixed the fault on the telegraph pole They passed on charge even though outside our property Shocking slow speeds- continuous dropping line Customer service beyond RUDE -They don't care Zero communicate !!Unbelievably poor /no service

response time in answering calls when phoning customer services is a JOKE. Expect to be left wait anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes listening to naff music. Other than this issue I cannot fault Direct Save.

If it was possible to give this company a zero I certainly would. Everything about this company is appalling. One of their representatives called my disabled 90 year old mother who has many different health issues and has a medical alert phone with BT. On testing the her bracelet which we do monthly, it didn't work. I phoned BT to tell them only to find that Direct Save had taken over the phone. On questioning mum she said BT had rung to offer her a better deal with them. Looking into this I found out that she believed and kept asking their operator if this was BT because she needed to stay with them. This operative led her all the way to believe that it was BT who she was speaking to and my mum even stupidly gave her bank details over the phone to this company. I managed to get on to her bank and explain and they cancelled the standing orders, etc immediately. I asked the company to produce the tapes as they say that they record every conversation, which was the advice I received from Ofcom. I have written to this company and emailed them and they have denied receiving any correspondence from either myself or Ofcom or any complaint was made or recorded against my mum's account with them. I cannot believe a company can carry on like this and stay in business. The guy who had the conversation with mum, who I agree the other comments here I think they only have about two members of staff, said he didn't realise she was elderly or had Parkinson's disease and didn't understand she had a special phone, I cannot understand that as her voice is weak and shaky. I am still trying to get them to produce this recording, they are still chasing my mum for cancellation fees, etc. and have today sent her a debt collection letter. Once I spoke to the debt collection agency they said they would go back and speak to Direct Save themselves. Ongoing fight but I believe a company is only as good as their service when things go wrong, so I just want to add beware if you are going to use this company. They even told me they believed that her medic alert would have worked with their service after they denied she told them she had one. They just constantly put the phone down on you if you try and reason with them, unbelievable.

Only been with them a week so will update in a few months too but so far they are great. We have always been with BT as we live in a rural area and they were the best option (we can't even get Sky) but then saw this company for so much cheaper and as I am on Maternity Leave was looking at ways to reduce our bills. Customer Service has so far been fine, got through quickly to someone I can understand (unlike BT). Broadband speed/connectivity has been fine - able to stream on my laptop while my husband is online on the Xbox too(unlike BT where is used to waver/buffer a lot) and websites load up quickly. So yeah so far so good (fingers crossed it continues). I was wary as just couldn't believe we would get the same service at such a cheap price but as of yet it has been better than BT.

Had to speak to Direct Save on a couple of occasions due to bills being more than quoted when i signed with them. I have to be that some of there customer service skills are to be desired. Was told I would get a credit on my account for having to call up and not being happy with the service, but then that credit never got added so had to call again.
The broadband is a bit slow in our area and i think it is quite expensive for the service that you get. But we brought a Persimmon Home and you get tied into a deal with a choice of 4 providers which no one has ever heard of.

This company is a farce, they are inept in every manner and provide a diabolical service. They have cut off a disabled vulnerable person who needs the phone line for her care call and emergency care line due to being extremely vulnerable and even after three calls and them saying it is our fault you should not have been cut off, but there is nothing more we can do! Reconnect instantly would be what you ethically should do! They are putting my mothers life at risk and has caused us stress, upset and worry not just to her daughter but her as well she has been so stressed, upset and is worrying, how can a company be allowed to run in this manner, disgusting, despicable and deplorable they can get away with it! AVOID them as they are cold money grabbers who have no care or compassion for their customers!!!!!!!! Horrid company

I have been with DST for over 6 years. At first they were great. The past 18 months have been terrible. Incorrect charging, service drop-outs, inconsistent advice for customer services. I have requested on-line billing (many times) and they still can't seem to manage that (I still get paper copies!). I have asked for my MAC code twice and am still waiting. Excuse after excuse. The sooner I can leave the better.

AVOID!!!!! This company is the worst I have ever encountered. Their service is diabolical.
We ordered broadband from them and it took 10 weeks for it to be connected! The excuse they gave was that it was BT's fault. I checked with BT and this was a lie.
After 5 calls - to different people - who didn't have a clue what the last person had said, eventually it was connected and was half the speed of other providers - so I switched. However, because I'd prepaid my line rental, they "reserved" my number and I had to have a new one.
Oh, and if you do want to make a call to customer services, make sure you have a good book to read while you wait for them to answer. The record was 40 minutes on hold.

Direct Save Telecom is a great company with the cheapest line rental in the uk. I have never had any prblems with my broadband and i have been with them over 2 years. The ammount of money of i have saved in the past 2 years has allowed me to DO SO MUCH THINGS I wish i had become a DST customer years ago. There staff are very friendly and helpful along with there great customer service team. I would also like to commend one member of staff by the name of Rosie who went above and beyond to help me....Thank you DST
