    Hello All,
Should be NO STARS on the whole drop down of ratings
Seriously, this has got to be the worst internet service I have ever come across. I´ll go as far as to say it was woeful. I regrettably paid for a month's service as I live outside of the UK and needed a stable service. So bad that on their website I thought I would lodge a complaint via the ombudsman and whilst trying to connect it tilted and failed as I had tried on numerous occasions to follow their trouble shooting remedies, to no avail.
I thought BT of all providers was going to up there as they are most certainly not cheap (as in you pay for what you get).

Every time you, or any one of us three, namely my wife and brother tried to use the service, we had to repeatedly log on and within a short time we lost service. you literally had to stand stationary in the house, service was lost immediately you left the house.

I could not use the service at ANYTIME on a trip from London to Exeter not even at Luton airport upon departure.

Consumption of service on the occasions that I was able to view it was, negligible.

Rounding up, this BT service failed me, the customer.
This was an expensive service so poor value for money.
This BT service, on this occasion was not fit for purpose. and I would not recommend to another.

Shocking when you can´t even lodge a complaint via their ombudsmen link, obviously, I´ve had to use another provider in order to lodge a complaint but at the material time it was not possible.
I hope this feedback proves useful to others, thanks for reading.

I just moved into this house. After having to wait for 14 days to have a
BT landline installed (as Virgin Media won't bother to connect it) I have ordered a BT broadband. Had to call 4 times and spend in total more than 2 hours on the phone just to order the Broadband. After which i got nottified I would have to wait another 5 weeks until the broadband will be activated. I was told that as soon as I order the Broadband I could use the BT-WIFI and BT-wifi with FON in the area. I just needed to login with my BT account. One week after the landline activation I still do not have a BT account number so I cannot activate my BT account which means I cannot use the wifi. called BT a couple more times. Then, as I have work to complete, I paid 7.99 pounds for a day with BT wifi with FON connection. Hoping my BT letter with the account number will arrive. It didnt happen and I still needed to work. So i paid 17.99 pounds for 5 days connection with bt-wifi with FON. Except this time the wi-fi was so bad, worked at 120 ish kb per second, kept disconnecting, most of the times on reconnect will just show NO INTERNET. So called BT again to complain, and the guy tells me that since I ordered a broadband, He can give me a one month voucher to access the BT-WIFI hotspot. Went to Argos and bought a WI-FI amplifier. With amplified signal, BT-WIFI works at its best at 120kb per second (which is like internet in Romania 20 years ago), with a ping of 1500 - 3700 ms and repeated timed out requests. I cannot even connect a second device to the WIFI. To think of it, in 2019, i had to pay about 50 pounds just to get the crappiest internet connection ever. BT, did you know that it is possible to have fiber optic connection brought into your house with 200Mb/s speed/ TV and landline, all for 8 pounds a month? in Romania, not UK. But still possible.

Apalling. Total waste of lots of money for a disgrace of a signal and speed. Everything good for the first day and then once you pay for longer term it goes to hell. Customer service is just as bad if not worse. Save yourself money and energy and stay away. Anything else will be better.

Extremely unreliable. Connection will randomly drop, sometimes the sign in page won't show, sometimes you won't be able to even connect to the router. The speed is usually fine. Prone to randomly disconnecting or requiring you to sign in again literally minutes after first signing in

What a rubbish experience and waste of money. Worked for all of an hour and then vanished. I wish I had read the reviews before I signed up. Since I had no internet, however, and was relying on my phone it wasn't so easy.

Okay so, before moving to Birmingham, BT was alright. Could watch videos, movies and even play games. We had the fast package and it was working fine. After we moved to Birmingham the internet went to hell, first of all, they don't have fast broadband where we live and had made no effort to get it here or at least give us a much cheaper alternative. Second of all, if my husband and I use our laptops to watch videos on youtube, the internet will just go to hell. We can't load videos even in 144p, if a third person is connected then that's it, you an say bye bye to internet.... It's also really stupid that they keep sending mails and put billboards up with how amazing the speed is and all that b.s, when it's actually absolutely false advertisement

This is quite honestly the worst experience I've ever had in any form of service. I signed up for bt hotspot WiFi and at first was pretty good. Not the best but manageable for my needs. But then after my first monthly payment, on that same day I completely lost signal. I managed to find some WiFi and made a written complaint. Oddly enough my WiFi came back on 6 days after the same day I received the email back from the two working day reply policy they have. And told me to contact the technical department. Well after I had been reconnect anyway, all I've experienced is disconnectios, and has been gradually getting worse and worse. Today I have been disconnected at least 20 times. And the connection is extremely weak at the moment. It can't even load a picture on a webpage. If tried all sorts of routes to complain. Was advices to a link on there complaints page ironically it disconnected as I was trying to do this. Eventually got on hoping I could do a simple email complaints. Oh know just found automatic questions that had know relevance to my complaint about the hotspot. I've now left 12 email complaints hoping this will annoy them as much as I'm currently annoyed. I even disconnected twice trying to write this. It seems that they lure you in then bang a first payment happens than all goes downhill from there. I have to say, I am shocked that a national company are able to still operate in this way given the amount of complaints they obviously receive. I could understand it if I was paying £5 per month, but £26 for hotspot not to properly work?! Why even have the service if it's that bad. It's obviously a scam of some description. This needs investigation surely. There is acts in law that should prevent these things from happening. especially when money is being paid for a service.

If you have ever had BT broadband and don't any longer then DO NOT buy the packages from the hotspot use your old details to access the hotspot, i had BT broadband 2 years ago then one day a hot spot was installed around 50 yards from my property so one day i tried to use my old details (Bt account) and it connected me with no issues now i don't even pay for my internet and further more install BTwifi app when out and about it connects you straight away no signing each time you want connected, The connection to the hotspot allows me to watch videos online and even use it to play games online, I connect my pc to the hotspot then turn my PC into a Virtual Hotspot so everyone in my home can use the internet.

I am in temp housing for twelve weeks while work is done on my flat so I decided to get a pay as you go broadband, this was pretty cheap at £120 for 90 days with no contract. For some reason the 90 day option never worked at the start when I joined so this added £30 I did not need to spend.

The speeds are decent for me at 5mb both up and down, but the uptime is around 90% with too many random small outages and too many hour plus disconnects.

As far as I can tell I get wifi from the local startbucks which is probably something you need if you want any decent monthly amount of download and I do get close to 1tb a month with constant downloading.

It is a decent temporary service for me, let down by the terrible cust serv and low reliability.

I would have given it two stars for reliability but it requires you to log on daily at 3am to 5am or it stops, so I usually have another two to four hours downtime every day.

Have to disable WiFi, wait 5 seconds, re enable WiFi, wait 5 seconds, go to Google, fall on landing page, select WiFi, click login, wait 5 seconds then try to go online. Sometimes you have to do this 4 times, a session may last only 20 seconds until you have to repeat the above process. I often have more than a dozen used login tabs after a half hour of internet use. Customer service admit how bad it is. Word of note - the contract is unfair under the 1974 unfair contracts act - compensation cannot be limited. You will get your money back if you quote this and consumer protection act and sale of goods act(services(fitness for purpose).

To sum up; a bad, slow, unreliable, infuriating service with no guarantee in the contract except that you pay the fee even if the service is not provided. Contract is wholly invalid, further to that the contract is in broken English with multiple spelling, grammar, syntax and denotation errors.

Deplorable service! Disgusting wi-fi! Waste of money! The management of the company is so bad that employees don't know what they are doing. By mistake, they turned off the Internet at our home without warning, and they have not been able to connect for the second day. I bought Wi-Fi on Demand because I have to work from home - a waste of money. Every half hour, you need to re-login; the speed is very plodding. We have the same problems with business! For ten months, no one from the company, even the top management, could figure out the connection errors made by their own employees! Every day starts with calls to BT. Avoid this company!!!

Ignore the one star for Each. I Would of put at least negative 5 stars if it was an option. Bt-fon is an actual joke 1.5mbps then grinds to 28kbps after 2-3 minutes aha. Even with EVERY single device disconnected on a 150mbps connection. They are beyond a joke customer service was a disgrace barely even spoke English. (Repeating small words, followed up by a do you understand what we are going to do at the end of every other sentence) Then proceeds to accidentally disconnect my internet for the next hour... There only solution to the bt-fon was to enter the WPA-2 key to connect to my personal side of the router and use it as the router owner as usual -.- Imagine if i was a FON only customer..

Funny thing is i only called them originally to see why my fibre has been shutting off every 2 hours for 10-15 seconds since ever since I've had it (isn't the router) which forces me to drop what i'm doing and run to reset 2/3 of my servers network cards. At this point I've moved back onto my old mobile network and am now using it for WIFI "All-In-One-35 - Three" & has been at least 120X more reliable than my BT hub and its completely portable....
Avoid this lying, failing, sham of a company at all costs i literally hope they run themselves into the ground.
Insisting on a full years refund Monday morning.
I've literally never lost so many IQ points in one day.

i have 12month contract and there is a weak or none connection. i got this reply: We do not recommend that customers set up BT Wi-fi subscription accounts for use at home. If you are in a residential area, you are connecting to a BT Wi-fi-with-Fon hotspot, each is provided by a BT Broadband customer who has agreed to broaddcast the BT Wi-fi signal from their router. This service is not designed as a replacement/alternative to a home broadband service. These are residential hotspots, each is provided by a BT Broadband customer who has agreed to broadcast the BT Wi-fi wireless network from their home hub. These hotspots are managed by the owner of the hub distributing them. As the customer's broadband connection may be busy or they may even switch off their home hub, we cannot guarantee these networks will always be on or working correctly and would recommend that you try at an alternative location. Sadly there is nothing you can do to improve the service yourself or for us to bring the signal back.

A BT Wi-fi subscription account is a mobile product for use at premium BT Wi-fi hotspots where we manage the service. BT Wi-fi premium hotspots can be located within establishments such as Starbucks, Hilton hotels, , Ikea and so on. To locate your nearest BT Wi-fi premium hotspot you can use our hotspot finder feature on www.btwifi.com/find.

If you need a reliable service at home, we would always recommend fixed line broadband. If you are interested in BT broadband, please contact our sales department on 0800 800 150 (Mon-Fri 08.00-21.00, Sat 08.00-20.00, Sun 09.00-18:00)."

It's basically a scam. You pay £10 for a day of WiFi and you do not get it. You literally cannot access any websites, even google. I'm not joking. Stay away.
