Equipment provided by Vodafone is an absolute joke. It took me 4+ hours to bypass their router to get normal internet speed over the wifi and cable. Whole process was painful so I won't ever again choose Vodafone in the future.

I switched to Vodafone from TalkTalk as they were unable to match the Vodafone offer which was ten pound a month cheaper and double the speed. The switchover was completely seamless and now getting 75MBPS download and around 20 MBPS upload. The service is 100% reliable and I 100% recommend it.

I read all the reviews before ordering and to be fair they werent great.. but i thought id give it a try and i couldnt be happier.. yes you get a couple of teething problem but that was to do with open reach connections... vodafone sorted it with them and get a new socket put in within 48 of me calling. The service is great now and i have never experienced bad customer service from them. I would advise give it a go the price wont be beaten!!

I do regret for signing 12 months contract due to the broadband being so unreliable specially on mobile devices. I would not recommend anybody to get in to this mess if you're from my area.

I chose Vodafone when moving into a new property.

Wi-fi hub was delivered on time, and activation went ahead as scheduled with no issues.

So far, after around 3 weeks, I've had no issues, speed is on par with predicted speeds, signal is strong all over the house and no drop outs.

I haven't had a need to contact customer service so can't comment on their effectiveness, but I've been a customer of their mobile service for years and they have always been helpful

Switched from talk talk to Vodafone. Gave them month advance time, on the day internet was not connected and now over two weeks later still no internet. Every "consultant" I lying in exactly the same way as previous consultant - engineer will be with you in two days and you will have the internet. Still nothing. Worst experience I ever had.

I read these reviews after I had agreed to make the switch and was full of dread. They offer 30 days cooling off so I thought I would see how it goes.

All I can say is that it is exactly as promised. High speed connection for £20, perfectly reliable. I have had no problems at all.

Got vodafone installed 21st of March 2017, started complaining about a problem on 7th April. Been complaining about said problem in drops and kicking devices off the network ever since. Keep getting told, theres not a problem at their end (how great for them). So I have to either put up with this rubbish provider for another 8 months or pay 8 months to cancel it! This even though I've been complaining since within the 30 day cancellation period! Wish I hadn't of bothered. What a waste of my hard earned money!

    Please avoid like the plague!

Switched from iDNET to Vodafone to save some money but so far it has been a mistake as I’m still without internet 6 days after my supposed go live date with Vodafone. I’ve contacted Vodafone support multiple times and they keep getting me to do the same tests with the master socket and hard reset of the router, even after explaining I’m calling about an existing issue and I’ve already done the check with the previous support agent I spoke to, its like logging a new fault with them every time you contact them. They keep telling me it will be resolved in 48 hours then when that passes they say it will be 24 hours yet no progress is ever made. Absolutely useless don’t switch to them.

Constant dropouts since signing up in November. Naively allowed them to arrange an engineer and send a new router, went over the cooling off period and now stuck with them for 16 more months. Loses connection for a few minutes about once an hour, disrupts our streaming and working remotely from home, and the boys' gaming. Much happier with Sky before them, slower but almost never suffered dropouts. A shame as I really rate them as mobile phone providers, been with them 16 years.

I switched to Vodafone Broadband last year from Sky.

First of all, the switch was seamless. I received the router in plenty of time and the service was turned on exactly when I was advised.

Since then, I am pleased to say that the down/up speeds have been way faster than Sky giving pretty reliable downloads of between 35-65 Mb/s.

Last off, I recently had an outage caused by Virgin Media putting a spade through some fibre in the street and the customer service I received was excellent.

    I thoroughly recommend it.

Customer service is terrible especially the phone operator which takes ages to get through because it keeps asking "Tell us in a few words what your call is regarding". When you explain it it replies "I'm sorry, I didn't get that..." - drives you mad. Then the callers don't seem to understand what your issue is and are inadequate.
I had an issue at the end of my contract when I switched to a new supplier which was no fault of my own and Vodafone would pass left right and centre to another person, and even told me to call the new supplier and few times. All in all, I had to call them 7-8 times to sort out the issue and will be writing a complaint to them.

Broadband speed is fine, WHEN IT WORKS. Almost on a daily basis broadband won't work for a few minutes (sometimes longer) and will disconnect you before coming back on when you are expecting a constant uninterrupted service.
Don't fall for the "cheap" price. It's cheap for a reason

Customer service is friendly and tries to be helpful, which is nice since I've spent many hours dealing with a delivered failing modem and a modem delivered with no configuration.
We had Plusnet up until Monday and it was always stable as a rock.
We were promised an easy switch, we have been lied to.

Originally a sky broadband customer, moved to vodafone as attacted by being cheapest on the market. i now pay £20 per month for 38mb. Initially it started off a bit shakey , they canclled more order without telling me i only found it they done this when i rang up after not hearing anything for 2 weeks and not having received my router. Anyway a fews days later i received my router and had an activitation date a week later. On the day of activation it said i should be up and running by midnight, i checked the following morning and still no internet. I called the next day first they told me it was to do with the parental settings so they changed something on the router i was actually at work at the time so didnt have a chance to test until i returned home , to find it still wasn't working. so i called up again and they asked for the serial number of the router which i provided and they said the router wasnt registered on their system! They registered the router and within 15 minutes i was online. Since then it has been working fine and getting same speeds if not better than when i was with sky. After a shaky start it seems to be ok, touch wood!

Signed up to Vodafone Unlimited Fibre 76 and for the first few months it was fantastic, great speeds on both consoles connected, both phones and both tablets. However my speeds dropped about a week ago (was receiving 5mbps, my minimum should be 35mbps) with only one device connected. I have contacted there customer service about ten times now, including 3 phonecalls to the complaints line. 3 of the live chats were cut off, as were2 of the 3 calls. When I do eventually get through to someone all I get is "we will raise a ticket with the tech 2 team", who have already contacted me and said my internet is fine. They are also supposed to contact me back again within 3 days, I am now on my fourth day, and awaiting 3 different phonecalls from their customer service, all of which should have taken 3 days max. Again it has been like this for a week at least. Eight days to be precise.

Lying on the phone at customer services. My home broadband went off at 10.20pm on Wed 7th Dec 2017. Called Vodafone 9 times between Wed and Sat. Told utter lies by staff. First it was an outage, then a fault at the exchange, then Tech2 team said there was no fault. Even although my broadband was still off. Spoke to a woman who told me call back Sat Morning at 8pm and ask to speak to Tech2 team (which you can't do. I subsequently found out). Phoned back spoke to some bloke who said Tech team will call you within 24 hours. Which they didn't do. Then I called again Sat night at 6pm. Went nuts at the woman on the phone. Told her I was going to Ofcom and trading standards. She put me on hold. Boom 2 mins later my broadband is back on. Odd that?

As soon as my 18 month contract is up I'm gone. I pay them £110 a month for 2 mobiles, a tab, home phone and broadband, And they don't care. As long as they get their money their happy. Bunch of robbing liars. Avoid at all costs!

Just cancelled my contract with them on installation day due to the fact they are now saying the broadband would not be ready for around 2 weeks so no connection to the internet for 2 weeks! This was due to openreach not confirming a date with Vodafone but this was only checked when I called at 17:30 on the day the installation day as I had not seen my current Plusnet connection drop or had any contact from Vodafone. So now I have to call my work and explain that I cannot work for 2 weeks due to no internet connection! I am going to lose a lot in wages or have to use my annual leave, to say I'm angry with Vodafone is an understatement! Be aware they have dealt with my transfer from plusnet and gave me an installation date and therefore a termination of my old contract date but never checked to see if they could actually achieve this until I called! They are totally incompetent! Broadband is now an essential part of life especially when you have to work from home. Please be aware of Vodafone and hopefully you will not get into a situation like me.

I have had 900 Mb/s fibre-to-the-premises Internet through Vodafone for about three years. I have enjoyed good reliable service, with practically no interruptions. The customer service, (the very few times that I needed something from them, has been knowledgeable and helpful.

Zero stars. I don’t know where to start. Poor internet quality, engineers that didn’t show up (twice) requested to cancel which was ignored- actually set me up with a new activation date instead! All this plus call centres in a non English speaking country. Extremely poor! Avoid like the plague.

Moved propertys almost 4 weeks ago changed my adress with the tobi helper.... comes to activation day no Internet. Calls the team apparently was cancelled, I spoke to 3 diffrent people each and every one of them got my new adress wrong changed it eatch and every time, so it comes to this morning.. gets call from open reach they have booked it to the wrong property. Id recommend either giving your staff drugs tests or employing someone who knows how to run a job because right now between your broadband team and tobi, I wouldn't trust you to even run me a bath please do not switch to Vodafone if you are reading this. My partner works at home and now she is 2 weeks in wages down. Cheers Vodafone

I recently had a terrible experience with Vodafone Fibre 500 Broadband. My service was down for 11 days, and I was never given a clear ETA for when it would be back up. I was told to reset my router numerous times, I was sent a new router but this did not fix the problem. After the fifth day and many, many calls I was eventually told that there was an outage that affected 8 other customers in my area. I was told to be patient, however, this was extremely difficult for me and my family due to living in an area with little to no cellular and 3G signal.

I made a complaint in writing to Vodafone, hoping that the issue would be prioritised. I explained that my partner and I work from home using Microsoft Teams and my family use streaming services such as Netflix, Disney, Prime, SKY, and PlayStation as well as CCTV, which we could not use.

I received a call from Proactive Support and was told that he would investigate and update me as a matter of urgency. The following day I received a call from a Wifi Xpert stating that they had logged a ticket with City Fibre, but there was no timeframe as to when they would receive any information or update regarding this issue.

Another couple of days passed and I decided enough was enough and wanted to cancel the contract. I was told that I would need to pay an early termination fee of £166 and I would have to give them 30 days' notice, which I was not prepared to pay.

The following day I received a call from a Vodafone senior engineer and was told that City Fibre had found a fault in the cabinet. At last, my service had returned.

The following day I contacted customer services for compensation, which I had been promised (but never given the amount). I was told that I would be given £9.33 per day as automatic compensation which wouldn't even cover the money we have lost during this ordeal.

I was then called by the agent from my complaint and he advised that the agent had misinformed me and that I would receive an automatic compensation of £5.83 per day. I was disgusted by this, so he advised me he could give me an extra £10 credit on my account as a goodwill gesture for the incorrect information and the issues I had experienced. I was absolutely disgraced by this and his attitude in resolving my complaint so I expressed my feelings however he was not interested.

I advise anyone who is considering using Vodafone Fibre Broadband to think twice. Their customer service is appalling, and they are unreliable. There are many other providers out there who offer a much better service.

Here are some of the things that Vodafone could have done to improve my experience:

Provide me with a more accurate ETA for when my service would be back up.
Offer me a temporary solution while my service was down, such as a second line or a free upgrade to a higher-speed plan.
waive the early termination fee and the 30-day notice period.
offer me more compensation for the inconvenience I experienced.
I hope that Vodafone will take my feedback into account and improve its customer service and support in the future.

I wouldn't bother joining these, obvious we get times we need to reset the router but this router just takes the living piss, the internet cuts off every time you reset it were it takes you hours to get it up and running doing daft things having to hold the reset button in whilst powering it on, I'm cancelling my service in January Vodafone will not be getting no more custom from me. Never found it so bloody difficult resetting this stupid backwards router. I'd rather go unlimited data on my SIM than there crap broadband

I only left Sky because I was offered a really good deal as I had my mobile phone with them and I wish I hadn't. This is the worst broadband provider I've ever been with. the service constantly drops out completely it's rare that we actually get to watch a film or TV programme in one go, trying to play online games like rocket league is next to impossible and I'm currently writing this with 1.5gb of download speed. When I call and complain the staff seem pleasant enough and for a week or two all seems fine then I'm back to drop outs and slow internet. Absolutely useless - avoid.

Vodafone guaranteed 10.8 Mbs upfront in writing, initially all went well with installation etc. After a couple of weeks the internet speed started to cause spooling and drop out, speeds of 7.8 Mbs according to Vodafone but Oopla showed 7 Mbs. Router and incoming box was changed and all okay for a couple of weeks and a repeat of previous problem, Vodafone agreed speed had dropped off to 6.4 Mbs but watching TV and tele-conferencing, not together caused spooling and connection loss. Complained and was given the normal checks and they agreed that the rate had fallen to below the 6.4 and was at 5.8 Mbs, Oopla shows 4.8 Mbs. Final outcome more spooling, line down more often but Vodafone has given a whopping 15% discount on monthly charge and basically said live with it or go to another provider. Problem no Virgin in the area and Openreach will be backup so nothing will change. Speed at box is 21 Mbs so telegraph line is degrading quality to circa 5 Mbs (75%), so money being taken for service provided and maintenance but the latter not being done as distance from box to router calls should provide circa 15 Mbs. Vodafone is not in control of Openreach and therefore supplies rubbish Broadband.

spoke to several People, all ow whom were friendly. however were unable to resolve the issue. had to keep going though the same steps over and over.

ended up canceling the contract as service was so poor.

Completely execrable. Cut us off from our existing ISP three weeks early, and were unable to connect us to themselves.

Told us that it could take up to three weeks to resolve.

Numerous chasing phonecalls resulted in assurances that the broadband order was being placed again and the provisioning department would ring us back.

No one ever rung us back. Rang them again (after 3 weeks of chasing them), the day after the original go live date, to find that in fact the order hadn't been placed.

    We cancelled at that point.

Rarely have I experienced such terrible customer service A byzantine organisation of many departments, whose sole incentive appears to be to transfer you to someone else, rather then solve your problems. Avoid them like the plague.

Paying for superfast broadband 2 so should be getting guaranteed minimum speed of 60Mpbs but speed-test is returning 32.6Mbps. The Openreach part of the service, line from cabinet to house is syncing at 64.1Mbps, which tells me that the Vodafone part of the network isn't capable of providing the required bandwidth to meet my guaranteed service speeds. Poor service from a provider who really should be delivering a quality customer experience!

My Vodaphone home broadband went live on Feb 15. Since then I am having to do manual resets multiple times per day. The signal drops and the only way to get it back is to unplug the router for a couple of minutes, and reboot it. This is obviously pretty pointless for home security devices, not to mention a high annoyance and inconvenience. I have made many attorneys to contact vodaphone. The live chat is next to useless. If you are lucky enough to speak to a human they say they are going to call you back and never do. I am currently trying to get released from my contract as I do not see why I should pay 23 quid a month for a service that Vodaphone simply can’t supply. My advice don’t get suckered in by the promise of great speeds at competitive prices, oat a little more and use a reputable company.

Vodafone constantly fail to meet their guaranteed speeds. The last 5 mponths they have given a discount, but I want speed not discount. Time to move to a different provider.

Applied for broadband, Vodafone cancelled the order without notifying me. Spoke to an agent who said there had been a system glitch.

Applied again, this order was also cancelled.

Vodafone social media team sorted a third application and got it processed.

Router arrived, 1st October activation date given. Line didn't transfer from my old provider. Old provider stated Vodafone had given the wrong transfer date.

This order has also now been cancelled.

I now have no internet, and no phone line. I also have to pay for an engineer to attend no matter which provider I go to, because Vodafone deactivated the line.

Do NOT use Vodafone at any cost. This has took 6 weeks, left me with no internet whilst working from home, and cost me £50 in setup fees to go back to my old provider.

    Disgraceful.

With an overall customers satisfaction score of just 77%, at 45% customer satisfaction rating (compared to 85% for the top vendor) Ofcom has ranked Vodafone as the worst broadband provider in 2023.

My experience concurs - I've been a mobile customer for over 10 years, and broadband customer for over 4 years , had 3 rubbish routers and intermittant internet connection dropouts and slowdowns throughout.

The straw that broke the camels back is the pending 14.4% price increase and completely broken broadband upgrade offers. The upgrade promised in the email sent to me when I started the upgrade process from their website for ProII Full Fibre 100 for £28/m with UltraHub wasn't actually available so I couldn't actually take out the deal they offered! It would have been available for £43/m without the Ultrahub and thus wouldn't actually support the required features.

The routers have extremely unreliable wifi s/w issues requiring frequent restarts of the wifi to get Sonos systems and my LG TV connecting robustly, and the wired connections are also unreliable.

Customer support is 0/10. Vodafone provide a completely usless "AI assistance" TOBi which just doesn't work. The entire support system was down on 3 occasions which I tried to use it this week, and Vodafone's own staff also had problems due to its unreliabilities.

The support phone staff couldn't sort this issue so escalated it to another department which refered me back to the original support staff who couldn't resolve the issue! I asked for the complaints department but after 10 minutes they couldn't transfer me so I thanked them and explained I'd email instead. They then called me back again trying to reverse transfer me back to the original team so clearly they hadn't understood a thing.

I gathered evidence of the email offer and upgrade website issues as PDFs and during the tedious support calls I found 3 email addresses for support/compliants via google (Vodafone don't actually publish any ....)

Emailing them resulted in no response from two of the address, the 3rd got a response which led to 1.5 hours of calls only to discover Vodafone can't comprehend what offers are actually available, offered me Pro II Full Fibre 1 rather than the promised Pro II Full Fibre 100, and despite this the website T&Cs still specified the wrong router which wouldn't support the Pro II features of 4G backup and WiFi6. so the descriptions are wrong and contradictory in terms of pricing and the equipment supplied.

One support person was very helpful and offered to try to provide resolve things to an upgrade which is actually available and fulfills what they offer email specified, but before they returned from holiday a "muppet" took over the compliant, and didn't read the information I'd provided or understand what had been discussed and closed my upgrade process/complaint saying I'd refused their offer which is blatantly untrue. Now they won't reopen it, and anway I'm so fed up and disgusted with the "service" provided I've decided to take my business elsewhere.

The £3 discount for having a mobile contract and broadband contract is also useless - I can get a SIM card with 2x the data allowance for 1/2 (or even 1/3) of the price with the other major suppliers which also offer better coverage.

I'd strongly recommend avoiding Vodafone - other suppliers have coherent offers which can actually be taken out, offer higher DL/UL rates and equipment which actually works reliably, and they also have customer support which actually works.
