I joined Voda fiber after leaving Sky fiber for the cheaper voda prices. The exchange turned out to be oversubscribed by nealry 2x which meant between 5 and 11 evening times, my internet would always end up crawling to 200kpbs (4 times faster than dial up). The link at the exchange still hasn't been upgraded and I'm still, 3 months later, on slow connections in the evening. Didn't have this with Sky. And no choice but to wait for open reach to upgrade the link, which is a woefully slow operation. Sky Fibre was the best internet I'd had and leaving for this is painful.

Categorically will never use again and recommend the same to anyone else. No one there seems to have the foggiest idea what service they can provide. Set up was delayed by a month (after they said install could go ahead straight away) and then didn't work properly for a further month. Once resolved, speed was as advertised for contract duration. Real issues came at contract end where I spent a month fighting to end contract without charges; initially they wanted £170 despite being in cooling off period after contract renewal. Called repeatedly to have this reduced to £0. Then they continued billing us so had to call again multiple times. Each call resulted in an hour on the phone, being passed from one person to the next, being placed on hold for long periods etc. Strongly advise finding a better provider, they might seem cheap but for good reason - they also ramped our bill up 25% in second year which was the reason for leaving in the first place.

The level of customer service at Vodafone kills any benefits from any service they have. You can easily ruin your day and waste your energy and get nothing done. Add to that, I have been charged for full two months for a service that I cancelled during the first 14 days, and never manage to get my money back with their customer support!

Recent reliabilty issues, disconnected for 2+ weeks in October and again for 10 days over Christmas. Not all Vodafones fault, the incompetence ofsome of Openreach's engineers account for some of this. However, the appalling service from most of Vodafone's support team has finally made me decide to terminate my contract with them. Several times calls were ended, online chat the same and various promised follow ups - referrals on never materialised. They seem to think that now they have a larger share of the market customer service has gone by the by.

Absolutely dreadful firm. I was promised the earth in speed with Superfast 2 and they even checked and confirmed it in the shop. They have checked it many times since but they just fob me off until I give up. Last contact (over3 days) they told me all sorts of things to do such as take the front of the main socket and connect via the engineers socket inside. Result was my master and extension phones would only work in swapped places and no improvement to speed. The promised engineer's phone call did no materialize. A dreadful company, treat customers as dirt. Can't wait to leave.

Supposed to be getting around 35 MB, a year ago we were getting 18mb which was enough for our needs. Now dropped off to between 9 and 10MB. Connection will randomly drop off. We are getting a discount every month due to the slow speed, but just waiting for the contract to end so we can leave! Avoid!!

DO NOT ! Get Vodafone Broadband..
I’ve had Broadband from many providers over many years and this is the worst experience I’ve had. I’ve been waiting 5 days to be connected and it’s still not happened after 6 phone calls to there technical departments, They keep blaming open reach but it’s purely down to them being able to organise a simple task that was supposed to happen 5 days ago and keep getting told to wait another 24 hours. Stay away from Vodafone and go to a more reliable provider like BT or TalkTalk.

My first experience with Vodafone and its been my worst experience with any company in my life. 3 weeks later i still dont have all the dongles that are in my package. Internet is dropping out, customer service does pick up phones fast but their powers are essentially useless. This company is bordeline scam. I know all the paper answers of the customer service team by now as ive been on the line with then several times a day over the last 4 weeks. Apparently they dont even have records of that. They are utterly useless mostly.

Their service was okay, same with the speed. The last few weeks have been really awful. In the evening the internet disconnects at least 2-3 times while we are watching a series or a film. Even when we are not downlaoding anything. Trying to play an online game like Fort**** in the evening is a big risk unless we want to gamble and die half-way through the game.
Their customer service is not the greatest either. It takes forever for them to get any resolution.
I've been with them for the las 2 years and wished I did not join in the first place. So looking forward to move.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I have never experienced any company as terrible in my life. I'm in disbelief.
Took them 3 months to fit broadband, they are unable to deal with complaints. They tell you, you have the speed but this is pointless without connection. Everytime I call I'm on hold most of it being passed around for an hour. Horrendous customer services and product. They do not give a dam about customers.

I believe Vodafone UK are advertising a guaranteed broadband speed or money off. This is terms "the ultimate broadband guarantee". Just don't believe it for a minute.

The reality of the guarantee being based on Sync speed is of no use to man or beast.

Thy Sync speed gives no guarantee to actual broadband throughput.

So you can be happily syncing at 30Mbps / 7Mbps as I am but your throughput will vary from 30Mbps during the day to 3.5Mbps every evening (as mine does). This makes it
impossible to do anything at any decent speed.

Vodafone support (on phone which takes litrally hours to get through to) will take you round the houses trying to diagnose it but in reality they know they cannot delivera guaranteed throughput. If you do nail them down to not fixing the problem they blame Openreach for a "Red Cable Link Issue" (whatever that is, sounds like it's designed to scare customers off). If you push them further they will quote your contract "sync speeds" are being provided as per contract. This leaves you in the position of having extremely poor broadband speeds every evening but locked into an expensive contract.

BTW don't bother with online chat they onl having restricted access to your account and have very little skilled knowledge. They even gave me a ticket
reference number which wasn't even a ref number, it was my account number.

So all in all, pretty poor support around a service designed to stop you getting good speeds every evening (as in my case, fully documented with Vodafone support and now going through an OfCom process).

    Avoid at all costs.

Overall the customer service agents are friendly and helpful, all whilst not really being able to provide any actual support. I suffered with terrible speeds well below what was originally quoted, the connection keeps dropping out for no explainable reason, the router is perhaps the most ineffective I've ever come across - and this is a widespread problem it would seem. So much so, Vodafone agreed to start letting customer use their own routers, but in order to do so you need to call and ask for a DSL Username and Password - this is official information on their website, but when I called I was passed from department to department and nobody knew what I was talking about. The only saving grace about my relationship with Vodafone Broadband is that I've had so much money back from them due to the sheer volume of calls I've had to make to get issues resolved. For instance, they sent me a new router but forgot to de-register my old router so the new one didn't work, which took about 12 hours to resolve. Then a day later they de-registered the new one and it set my house alarm off whilst I was at work, and took me another 12 hours to resolve.
I've been a Vodafone mobile customer for years and have no issues whatsoever with that, but the day my contract is up on the broadband, I'm gone.

I was promised a minimum speed of 40mbps and I'm struggling to even get 12mbps.
My old provider gave me over 20mbps and the area offers up to 57mbps.
I've twice contacted Vodafone about this and although helpful, the speed has not increased at all.
Very dissatisfied, disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

Broadband randomly drops when not in constant use and speed is variable at best. The issue for me is that they have just doubled the cost of my broadband with no notification other than sending me the new bill. Apparently, I went out of contract four months ago and no one thought to mention it, so they have the freedom to charge me what they think fit. Customer support were pleasant but couldn’t do anything beyond refunding the increase this month. This isn’t the first time they have done this.

Terrible. Had this now for over two weeks, device has not yet actually been activated. Having to make do with a back up dongle. Apparently it’s a problem at the city fibre/open reach end but can’t really get an answer as to when it will be fixed.
    AVOID!!!

Terrible. I rarely leave reviews but this fibre internet connection has driven me to despair! The only positive thing that I can say about Vodaphone is that with the price increase they have allowed people to leave before their contract is up. I am jumping ship to either Sky or BT.

When first installed it was okay. Now it is terrible. The connection keeps dropping out and the wifi is terrible. Sometimes I can only get 10mbs when I am paying for the full fat fibre. When I do get the 10mbs I am happy as it means I actually have a connection for once. My wife is upset with the situation as she has had to up her mobile phone package to allow for more data as the wifi keeps failing.

STAY AWAY FROM VODAPHONE BROADBAND IF YOU WANT A STABLE INTERNET CONNECTION! (I am writing this article using my iPhone as a hotspot as the connection has gone again)

Got Vodafone broadband in November. Had service for a week theb cut out. Then I was told thw earlier it could be fixed is on Christmas eve. Then come Christmas eve they said there was a problem with the phone like. A week later had an gas engineer out who fixed the line and the internet was working. Lasted for 2/3 weeks then cut out again. When chasing it up I was told it would take 3 days as per the contract. 3 days later I was told that the line had gone down. Had an engineer come out 10 days later who said that the line was fine now and the number had changed. I didn't want my number changed. I was not reimbursed any money that I had paid for a sub par service.

We had BT fibre 72mb and it was great but expensive. We changed to Vodafone when contract ran out and it was biggest mistake ever. Absolutely rubbish in every respect. We averaged 60mb with BT and with Vodafone are averaging 12mb even though we are paying for 76mb now. We have had lots of calls to Vodafone and no matter how Much fiddling with setting, no improvement. We even spent £130 on new high class router which did some improvements.
We would rather pay to end contract with Vodafone and go back to BT.

Having had Vodafone for 3 months now, and throughout of the last 11 weeks, i have experienced several problems.
Its the worst of all, general attitude of support with a huge lack of customer service.

Never have i experience so poorly service.
I have been customer at TalkTalk as well - and even their service is rated better.

Such a shame! It could have been so good, but when their 2nd line team just closes tickets without faults being fixed, with a comment of "your router looks stable now, and have been for the last 24 hours" - it is very frustrating.
Trying then to call back is just impossible Their IVR doesn't let you enter your customer number, and after endless attempts, puts you over to mobile, who don't understand fixed line.

Many a times, i have tried to escalate the issues, but just no reaction from their "Resolution team".
I have once been able to speak with a team leader, but i might as well have spoken to my neighbours 4 year old.

I have only experience incredibly poor service, and next to that, the invoicing comes different - my original offer was free for 6 months, then 5/month.
From having paid £10 months down to now this month £2,50 for 12 months - i am not really sure, where we are at.
Martin Lewis from MoneysavingExpert have in this weeks email, an article about how poorly Vodafone's service is. Is it VERY poorly, so if you get the opportunity, run away and save your good mood and patience.

    A bit of technical information:
They will cap upload at 18meg download, 1meg upload.
SNR will be set to 9dB as minimum.
Yet with this high SNR, the line often fails - however, the biggest problem is the feeling of the exchange is heavily congested - it shouldn't, with the use of their own very high speed network. But it does, and it is awful. The tech teams will NOT go into any discussion about this. Instead, you are forced to far about with changing wireless channels, trying different network cables in different ports, trying different filter. Never a single time, they have wanted to look at their own part of the network. So it's either you or BTOR, that have the fault NEVER them. Despite giving ping and trace route results that clearly lead to so problems, they offer no comments to it at all.

If you can leave, do so.
If you consider to opt in with them - please, please re-consider and save yourself for the hassle.

Have had Vodafone broadband for a couple of weeks. Delay in getting up and running. Charged more than quoted. Not getting minimum speed on broadband speed testers (except on Vodafone app)... odd that! Have spent nearly 4 hours over last two days getting nowhere waiting for phone to be answered or on online chat. Not impressed.

Terrible customer service and very hard to get money back from when you leave. Customner service is in India, the online help bot is useless, and they're terrible at sorting things out if things go wrong. It took them over a week to sort things out when my broadband went down. They also didn't give me a credit for the week I was without broadband, that they're legally obliged to do. I had to make an official complaint to get the credit added. They also took money out of my account on the day I left them which they have yet to refund any of six weeks later. They generated a credit note after I complained online, but it was for less than half of what they owed me, so I had to lodge another complaint. A terrible company, I will never use them again.

I contacted Vodafone customer service over an issue concerning unauthorised data usage on my mobile wifi device.
I had recently changed my package which had always had a data cap. I was unaware that the new package was no longer capped. Unfortunately a subsequent bill showed excessive data usage which of course I was charged for.
After my first conversation to discuss the situation the agent advised that the company understood the problem and would find a solution, and that I would get a call from the "back-up team" within 2 hours. The call never came and when I rang again the following day I spoke to a different operative who insisted the bills had to be pad in full and continually referred me to online or via-app notifications and conditions which would have alerted me to the situation.
He also certainly lied when he said attempts had been made to call me as I had sat by the phone for 3 hours after the first conversation.
I was finally offered £10 compensation against charges of hundreds of pounds.
Shocking and appalling treatment of a long-standing customer!

I switched over from Talktalk some years ago to Vodafone which was a blessed relief to be free of Talktalk. Internet was down for about 10 days when Vodafone took over due to their inability to switch the service. They eventually worked it out and did the switch. I fought for compensation which they eventually agreed to. Then the connection speed (basic fibre) was about 35% below the stated figure, for which they again provided a discount. Fast forward a couple of years and when they raised their prices I called them to negotiate. They offered me fibre to the home, which was an upgrade, all for £1 less than I was currently paying. Sound like a good deal? Sure. Well, BT Openreach came and swapped the old copper line for a fibre one. The engineer said it should start working in about half an hour. I called Vodafone a few hours later and they said it will take up to 72 hours to work. Definitely NOT warned about this before agreeing. The activation date was clearly stated on the email and now they wanted 3 days more. OK, well, what can you do except wait? Four days later still no Internet. Again I call them and spend over an hour (mostly on hold listening to the same 3 songs on repeat!!!!) on the phone with an Indian woman who I could only understand every third word she said (very different to Vodafone's previous Egyptian customer service reps who spoke perfect English). I asked to speak to a manager and was told one would call me within 24 hours. Guess what? No call back. And she told me I would have to wait for.... another 72 hours for the Internet to be set up. Sound familiar? Well, here we are, 5 days and still no further along. Time to cancel and move to Sky. For anyone reading this, ask yourself how much your time is worth and whether you really need the stress in your life for what should be a simple thing. If, however, you have more than enough time and not enough frustration, please feel free to use Vodafone. I wish you all the best.

Failed to switch my broadband correctly. Paying £42 to BT instead of the £25 promised. Vodafone blame BT even though they share the same network. They said they will handle the switch but in the end blame the customer. Useless service, lies and contradictions. Never again.

For the first 18months brilliant, recently shocking, router drops out 7times a day, Vodafone are refusing to replace the router, they have done line checks and say the line is fine. They wont let me buy a new router and on board it. So I have been left with poor internet throughout the house. Leaving to go to Sky and now Vodafone are trying to charge me for leaving a sub par service

I've had 2 new routers in the last few months. My internet has gone down several times in the last week. I've contacted support every time and although they are helpful the service keeps going down. Their support is based in India so their standard of English isn't great which is a bit frustrating. Poor value for money. Wouldn't recommend.

Absolutely shocking. Constant hours waiting on the phone, or dealing with low calibre help desk staff. They never call back, or take ownership of an issue. I've never had a provider so unreliable. Moving away at last

Don’t bother. Really poor speed, drop connection quite often. They tell you a sync speed on their app ( like me telling you a can run 100m in 9.58 seconds ) we all know I can’t but I told you it’s true so it’s got to be !!!!
Got out of my contract in the 30 day get out period , thank god, don’t think I could cope with 18 months of a better upload speed than download!!! No joke this day and age.
About time something was done by the government about such poor speeds and promises . Roll on when I can get virgin in my area. Back to BT for now ( as long as they don’t start slowing me down again !! )

I have been with Vodafone broadband for several years. Regular dropping of the broadband connection over a period of several weeks has become almost an annual event. Their techinical helpline, even if you can manage to get past their robot assistants, is next to useless. After being talked through the usual farcical script of unscrewing the test port in the telephone socket etc, I have usually eventually managed to get Vodafone to agree that there is a fault. In the past it has often been resolved by them re-setting my router. This year, having had more than 10 drop outs a day, I've had two engineers out who have checked the system and made some changes both in the house and in the cabinet over the road, but although there has been some improvement it's still dropping out, mainly in the evenings. The last engineer was very clear that if the problem continued it was a problem with Vodafone and not the network. I'm absolutely disgusted with the appalling level of service, and I would advise anyone looking for a broadband provider to avoid Vodafone like the plague.

I switch on fibre 76 Vodafone and I pay 60£ for new line. 1st day I was getting speed 60mbps and upload 17mbps. Next day start WiFi speed dropping to 10mbps and upload 15mbps. I contact support and they say my speed 1st 10days will be poor. After that router start saying it’s disable and I can’t do anything to set up my router WiFi setting because disabled. I connect to support about this issue and they couldn’t fix my this issue. They say try sometime and maybe will work. I will see 10 days more if speed improved.
I had TalkTalk fibre 35 and that was very good and wasn’t droping speed as Vodafone broadband.
Look to me bodafone bad but let see how it gonna be.
