    [Read until the end]
I had Vodafone for 2 years. It was never a perfect internet, it would not work sometimes, but I was overall happy with mainly because of the competitive price.
Every changed on the 6th March when I received those messages "sorry you are leaving" as if I had requested a disconnection. I phoned Vodafone and told them I did not request a disconnection. The woman on the phone was very kind and when I asked for a SMS confirmation she provided it straightaway confirming the disconnection request was cancelled. However, a month later 6th April, OpenReach started to work outside of my house, they had only parked the car and my wife went out to ask what was happening and told them we had not requested our internet to be disconnected, they apologised and left. The internet was working fine, in the afternoon of the same day, my internet suddenly stopped working.
I phoned Vodafone who then told me my internet was disconnected as requested by me. Regardless of what I told them a month before and regardless of telling them I had a SMS to prove it, they said there was nothing they could do and SKY had picked up my line. I told them I did not care about landline, I just needed internet as I work from home. They said i would have to wait at least until mid-May to get my internet restored and I would have to subscribe a 48-month contract. I explained to them my internet was working "a minute ago" how come now I have to wait until nxt month to get it connected. They made me to speak with different teams and different managers and nobody was able to simply restore my internet connection. This took me about 6 hours in different days talking to different teams.
On the 18th April I received an email with my monthly bill, charging me for the month of April/May. Then I phoned them again on the 19th April and told them this was unacceptable and I was not going pay for it and that they should not charge it to me. After a while they were trying to convince me to reconnect with Vodafone, but I still would have to wait at very least 2 weeks, which I undoubtely refused. The manager then phoned me back and said I was not going to be charged and apologised for all mess they had done.
27th April they charged me anyway, despite numerous calls and confirmation. This is such a messy company, I had never seen this in my life. Phoned them now again 2nd May and asked for refund and confirmation in SMS of the refund. I received SMS confirming it and hope I will get the refund too.
Whenever come to your mind the company you work for is disorganised, remember Vodafone is there to go above and beyond your bad expectations.

I signed up for Vodafone's 500MB fibre broadband deal. There was about a month's wait for the fibre-to-the-premises connection to be installed, but as soon as that was completed the connection was running and download speeds were up in the 480/490 MB region, and always well above the 250MB minimum performance guarantee.

Until the two week colling off period came to an end!

After two weeks, download speeds started to deteriorate and were at times as low as 50MB - one tenth of what I was paying to receive and one-fifth of the minimum guaranteed performance. Even using a LAN cable, rather than WiFi connection, made no difference.

Contact with Vodafone's so-called "customer service" team was an unpleasant experience. I was treated like and at one point inferred as being an idiot! They blamed the number of devices running from the router (TV, mobile deveices, PC, etc), whereas only a single device was in fact connected.

It was impossible to make any headway, and it appears I am left locked into the remaining 22 months of a contract where Vodafone is failing to deliver the service it is contracted to provide.

Started with Vodafone great for a month, then all down hill
Signal drops in and out, streaming on Netflix would buffer lots. Now comes the best part leaving them. Give a months notice not a problem, then they put a late charge on my account even when I was all paid up. Just received another bill even thou I left 3 months ago. Shocking from Vodafone.

Awful! Tried several providers and Vodafone has definitely been the worst. Paying a bomb for supposedly superior wifi, but in fact often glitches when streaming on just one device, and I've been totally unable to use it for work from the upstairs room in our relatively small house! Useless customer service keeps me talking ages and basically just tells me to switch the channels!

    Dishonest and nasty
I cancelled my broadband with the necessary 30 days notice and was given a disconnection date and told early termination would cost around £10. However, I got a confirmation email with a disconnection date a month later. I let it go. Then they made a “mistake” and actually disconnected two months later! But they kept charging me and I overpaid them until I got fed up and stopped the direct debit. I called them up and a rude and aggressive woman told me I’d need to pay early termination fees of £200 !!! I told her that was impossible as I only had a few months left on the contract - and she suddenly backed down. Unbelievable crookedness. They then got a debt collection company onto me (despite my firm belief it was they who actually owed me money) - for £18. I challenged them (took hours) and they admitted their mistake, deducted £12 from the final bill but still asked me to pay £6 “late payment charge”! When I asked them to waive this as a goodwill gesture because I did not have the time or energy to carry on the dispute for £6, they refused. So, enjoy my review Vodafone: I believe you to be a dishonest and rather nasty organisation.

First of all my connection date was cancelled but I wasn't informed. Connection date was re-arranged, but in total I was without broadband for a month, and I work from home which made this rather problematic. They did provide me with a mobile dongle device to keep me going, however when it came to the bill date I was billed for this (nearly £170) and I had to call up to have it removed, only for it to still come out of my bank anyway, so several more calls were needed. I then had an issue splitting my mobile account from my broadband account (mobile is personal expense, broadband is house expense) which seemed to be way more complicated than it needed to be, resulting loads more issues with billing and bills coming out of the wrong account. They did add numerous credit to my account and I have to say that everyone I spoke to was very friendly and helpful, but ultimately I shouldn't have needed to call them 9 times to sort it out.
Finally, I'm now having issues with a terrible router that keeps dropping the wifi signal and a connection speed that is WAY below my guaranteed speed and about 20mbps below the speed I know from previous experience the line is capable of - I'm actually on the phone to Vodafone as I type and their solution is for me to troubleshoot using the advice on their website OR use a wired connection, which seems like a very sensible solution for my mobile phone and tablets...

Trash internet. Don't be tempted by the price and speeds if you need a reliable connection. I've had to be in contact with customer support 4 times in 4 months. The extra you would pay for virgin or other fibre is well worth it.

Stay away. Seriously regret my decision to join vodafone.

Broadband speed is low for download and almost nonexistent for upload. Connection also keeps dropping off, we have had an engineer visit a couple of times who has replaced various parts of the line but still having issues.

    Avoid!!
Problems with the set up and then direct debit has failed repeatedly. I paid them by BACS as it as charity and they couldn't find the payment. I'm minded to try and cancel early. 0/10 for customer service. The people are trying their best with systems that are clearly not properly set up

    Try someone else!

DO NOT USE THEM! Cannot express how rubbish Vodafone are!
We were with them when we bought a new house, when I informed them of the house move they told me the people buying our house had taken over our line so when they took it over we would get a £139 fee for our contract terminating before its end date. I had numerous phone calls about this and after speaking over me and being completely unhelpful they told me it was my responsibility to get our buyers to cancel their order with Plusnet. Luckily I wont settle for things like that so I Googled it and contacted BT and Plusnet who both told me that this wasnt right and Vodafone should have rejected the request for my line to be taken over in the first place (fyi this procedure of taking over another line without permission is known as SLAMMING). After me telling Vodafone that it was against Ofcom regulations and was known as slamming they suddenly decided they would contact Plusnet and sort it out. I then got told I had to wait over 2 weeks for an engineer to come to the new house to connect the line. The appointment was made for the afternoon and then on the day I got a message to say it was going to be in the morning, luckily the plans I had had changed so I was free! Then after being connected (after specifically telling them I needed to keep it) they told me I couldn't have my old number as I had moved from one exchange to another.
Bottom line.... I have 18 months to go until my contract expires with them and Im counting down the days!

Worst I’ve ever had even compared to standard non fibre. Drops out regularly . Roku and Sky frequently need to be logged in. App always indicates speed around 50 while speed tests can indicate 5 or 7. Phones lose signal so one is now on 4G permanently.

I have left as the service had really deteriorated and I was getting a very poor download speed. The Voda app failed to let me claim against their guaranteed minimum speed as it always gave an error. New provider Plusenet instantly restored existing download speed that I started off with Voda. I would not use them again.

    Dreadful customer service

Product ok until you need help or support and then may God help you because Vodafone will not!

Either cannot be bothered or are incompetent. Not sure which

Tried to raise formal complaint and they faffed around putting me through from one person to another and left me on hold for about an hour to the point where I lost the will to live and gave up

Cannot wait till the end of my contract then bye bye Vodaphone

The speed of the broadband is great when the line is stable... Since we took out the contract with Vodafone 5 months ago we have had 4-5 dropouts a day and maximum of 3 days with no dropouts! Their support is friendly but repetitive and goes around and around with tests that just don't work but they refuse to try anything new, replace hardware or let me talk to the next level of support. Unless you enjoy spending your time on the phone being told the same thing over and over please avoid for your own sanity!!

Utter pants. There has not been a day when we have had a trouble free internet day. Constantly drops out, router resets itself back to its default name and password, we have used 4g more than we’ve enjoyed connection! Customer service seem clueless (prompting you to reset the router every time you call) was told initially “oh the line will have a 10 day settling in period, that’s why you’re dropping connection.” Well let me tell you... day 12 I reverted back to BT

My Father used to say “you get what you pay for”

Absolute rubbish Vodafone!!! Will be steering clear of your services until my last breath.

Vodafone advertises ultimate guarantee speeds of 55MBps on Superfast 2; however, the reality is different where customers like me are only offered 42MBs - well below Vodafone's advertised rate. Be aware - there are also issues with it dropping out.

Appalling. They cut us off without warning. We phoned, they said another company had taken the line (VB are required to give you notice if this has happened, so it might not have been true. Five months into a 24 month contract so we couldn't afford to leave even if we'd wanted to). Took five (working) days and ten hours of a combination of phone calls, and chat on their execrable app to restore own broadband connection. Their helpline drops calls, a lot, one of the 'help'ers phoned us back when this happens, two did not.

Simple home move specified a month before results in the Internet being cut off 2 weeks earlier than the date specified, no Internet as a software engineer who works from home completely messes everything up. As the home move comes they send an email saying the internet is being activated at my old address. I phone up apparently it's ok.

Come move in date the line hasn't been activated at the new property so it wasn't ok. Currently being pushed around departments; 36 minutes on hold so far on my phone.

Automated message keeps saying 'we're really busy at the moment sorry for the delay'. I'm really busy at the moment trying to do a home move and I've got mr fat fingers at Vodafone not typing the right date into the form for my home move. Why do I need to sit around waiting for people who are breathing through their mouths on a phone line when I can type into the form more accurately than them.

I contracted to take Vodafone's Fibre 500 product for two years. For the first two weeks after it was installed, everything was fine. Download speeds were up around 490MB/second. Very soon after, however, I noticed that speeds had plummeted and now it is rare for speeds to get above 90 - 95 MB/second - well below Vodafone's minimum guaranteed speed.

I contacted Vodafone and the customer service advisor could not have been more condescending and insulting. They said there was no problem with my connection and the slow speeds were due to having too many devices connected via Wifi, such as TV, iPads and PC. Only two devices were connected, so the customer service advisor was talking nonsense! Even an ethernet connction from my PC into the rouiter was unable to improve download speeds, which remained in the high 90s MB/second.

I can work with the speeds delivered, but that's not the point! I am paying for up to 500 MB/second with a minimum speed guarantee of half that, whilst receiving less than 100MB/second. Vodafone doesn't care thgat it is breaching its own service guarantees.

I am stuck with Vodafone for another 22 months, but I won't be renewing mu contract with them unless they sort out the issues with my connection. I know that the infrastructure can deliver 500MB/second, because it was doing that for the first two weeks after installation. Coincidentally, two weeks is the "cooling off period" during which the contract can be cancelled without penalty... Sharp practice on Vodafone's part?

    How I hate this company!
I was visiting the UK for one month! I went into one of thier shops to get a pay as you go deal to cover my stay.
I was told that it was not the way to do it by enthusiastic sales people.
The way to go is get a months contract and cancel the next day. This used the 30 day cancellation procedure. This saved about 30 pound!
I took their advice. During the month I had problems with them and lost the will to live trying to talk somewhere in the world to an operator I could not understand and went ruthlessly through his script!
I went back to Thailand thinking I was rid of them for ever, only to find they took 240 pound out of my account for early cancelling!
I guess those salespeople got commission!!
They have won! They can keep the money! Life is too short to challenge them!
Never ever again will I consider this horrendous company!

I'm reporting one of the biggest con jobs I've come across after BoZo's Brexit lies. In fact I'm open-mouthed at VF's cheek relating to their 'Ultimate Speed Guarantee'. I - as it seems many others commenting here - thought it related to the Internet speed I could obtain on my broadband, and if it went below that figure, in my case on Superfast 2 55Mbps, I'd get a refund. It was only when my tests on Ookla showed that at times I was getting less than half that, I started researching further and eventually downloaded VF's own app on which to check speeds. It was only then - after being told my download speed was 80Mbps did I realise these total shysters measure the speed between my flat and the green box over the road! They then have the cheek to confirm my 'sync speed' is above the USG and presumably I don't get any compensation. Crooks.

To add insult to injury after my complaint to them I was phoned by a very arrogant person in - presumably again - Bombay, who steadfastly refused to understand why I was cross, and basically told me to read the small print.

Like many others, I won't be renewing my contract with this bunch!

Avoid at all costs, I was with them for 6 weeks from nov-jan and there was not a day in which the internet did not drop off, the maximum was 14 times in a day. Since swapping to Sky from Vodafone there has not been a single drop off, yet Vodafone are now attempting to charge me over £450 to terminate a contract early.

The speed is actually great when it works

I switched from Plusnet over to Vodafone because of a cheap deal which turned out to be a big mistake. I've regularly had limited service and buffering compared to my service with Plusnet and By before then. Although they have apologised and given me 50gb to tether with whilst without service, nothing beats reliable broadband. I loose service most evenings even for just a few moments which is annoying to say the least. Think I'll be switching back to Plusnet.

I was told Vodafone was good for fibre broadband but my experience is not great. When my install was complete the range of the router was very poor and worse than my previous old modem. Additionally it cannot cope with multiple devices and speed drops noticeably when streaming tv. Their online chat bot is rubbish and if you do get to an advisor they are unable to help much either. I really wouldn't recommend this provider. No wonder they have to offer cheap deals to get customers.

Wifi drops so often it is not funny.
Vodafone check the line which is not the problem and close the call as the line is fine.
I have been round this process 4 times now.
Incompetent would be giving them too much credit.

After the price crept up by 30% I decided to cancel this service. A month later and daily arguments with support staff it still has not been cancelled and they still keep trying to bill me.
Vodafone is a scam, do not go with this company.
The broadband itself was OK. Occasionally it would cut out for a few minutes or speeds would drop to a third of what they should be. Mostly it was fine.

Took over a month from my go live date to actually be able to get online. Complaints made regarding this were ignored. When I was finally able to contact someone I had to run a script on one of my devices to be able to connect. No refund, or even an apology, was offered for the month of service paid for that I didn't receive.

Now it turns out that that script restricts what I can access online even when I'm not connected via their service - who knows what tracking cap is running too. And the page to change these restrictions - permanently down for maintenance.

If you want to pay for an ISP but not have one. Or like to have strict controls like some 90s workplace applied to your usage, then Vodafoney are your guys. Otherwise, pay a few quid more and go with some a service operated by some at least vaguely competent grown ups.

Vodafone is never to be reliable. Speed is not fast as hyperoptic or Virgin media, but it keeps on and off no services. Every time need to wait a week to fix. Even they can compensate to you, it’s not worth at all.

I have only been with Vodafone a couple of months but already want to switch away from them due to the terrible customer service I had. We were due to move house and informed them that we needed to set up the broadband at the new house but was told it would take nearly 30 days to complete. We are in the new house still waiting for the broadband activation. I contacted them today to confirm we were still due to be activated soon and got told that they house move had got cancelled on the day I set it up! So we have been waiting for nothing this entire time and they cant even explain why it was cancelled. Neither was I informed that it was cancelled and was told that i would just have to sign up again via the sales team. The customer service is a complete joke.

After installation my home(voip) phone never worked luckily we hardly used it so it was unplugged. For 6 months my broadband worked perfectly although the wifi dropped out occasionally. After this my cameras and Smartplugs with certain phones stopped connecting! I had about 30 calls to the "help" desk and all they do is a factory reset on the router. They insisted they had checked the router and all was fine. I told them I had tested the router myself and the problem was the 2.4 ghz signal had ceased to operate. They refused to accept this and would not send an engineer out. After several months I gave up and bought a cheap £11 router off ebay I connected it to their faulty router and magically all my devices worked fine. My contract is just ending and I'm giving up on broadband I've just cancelled it and bought a 5G router which connects to the mast luckily I have a good signal. I've tested it for several days now and its brilliant 12 month contract for £10 a month unlimited data texts and phone. I'll not use the texts but may connect a phone to the 5g router. Even though I've had substandard service they are making me stay for a 30 day notice period even though my original contract will have ended. So one extra week to pay then the pain will be gone. Ps I gave 4 stars for the speed as the 5Ghz signal was ok.
