    I know many people seem to have problems with TalkTalk but that is not my experience at all. Every time I have contacted their overseas call centre I always get what I can only say is 'world class' service and that is not me being naive or an irregular user. Much better than my experience with any UK based call centres. Always knowledgeable and they follow up issues. Perhaps I must be just luckly. I have had horrific experinces with BT and 'so-called' BT companies who have mis-sold services to me in the past. I deeply regret giving in to the BT sales pitch about 10 years ago and thankfully was back to TalkTalk within 3 months (with compensation payments from BT for mis-selling).

    I have just switched to talk talk and I have to say I have received excellent service from the beginning of my contract Nothing has been to much trouble staff have been helpful and provided clear information when I have needed it. Thank you for making my switch so easy

    I signed up with Talktalk in January 2015 and can honestly say I never had a problem with them. On 3 occasions the line/broadband went down (2 of these caused by BT Openreach) each time the faults were dealt with fairly quickly. Now the price is going up at the end of my contract, so I am looking to get a new provider with a faster speed. However, having read reviews on other providers I may just stay where I am. (If it aint broke then don't fix it)

    my activation date was on the 14th, On the 15th, morning, i had no broardband as was straight onto the phone, few days after i had a TalkTalk openreach technician to my house, who then went on the phone to tell them everything, they escalated the issue to the orders department who rectified my issue on saturday the 18th.

    now have flawless internet, customer service was incredibly, very polite and helpful. I chose to give TalkTalk a chance and so far, it seems to be going great.

    I just wanted to say I am so far amazed at this provider. I also wish to include that I am so happy that I made the decision to drop my £120 a month sky tv and broadband package at 0.1mg download speed for the £5 per month 28mg talk talk speed. I can't believe it. Our internet no longer feels like dial up. Also we were promised love to shop vouchers (I was expecting at least a 6-8 week wait like other companies) NOPE ! Got them less than a week after our supply switched. So far MEGGA impressed, delighted I made the decision to switch and long may this great service and happy customer relationship continue. Give this provider a chance. If you end up like me it will be the best decision you've made regarding providers ever !!! Thanks talk talk !!!!!!!!

    Update of my initial review on starting the service with talk talk.

    All i can say is i must be with a different company, also i think i have limited needs and limited expectations all of which have been met/

    We changed providers from skys extortionate prices when we moved house simply put talk talk were the cheapest i could find.
    We cant get fibre at our new address so its what they call faster broadband our guarantee says 4mb its never below 8mb and almost always 9-10mb , never dropped once except the time the wife switched it off.
    From over £70 a month with sky with no calls included and no movies just bog standard channels , with out freeview play box we have all freeview channels via a now tv box we have sky movies and entertainment channels plus netflix via the freeview play box and our talk talk deal gives us unlimited uk mobile and landline calls total per month is £50.00.

    Better service more choice and less money than sky im well chuffed fel sorry for the unhappy reviewers but I must be the lucky one.

    We've been with TalkTalk for five years now. I know they get a bad rap, but I honestly can't fault them. I had an issue with the phone line that did talk a while to get sorted, but the fault was at the exchange so the blame there lies with Openreach, not TalkTalk. I get consistuant 70Meg download speed and 20Meg upload in my North Essex village, so speed is good. They even sent me the latest router free of charge as a sorry for the phone fault.
    My only slight annoyance is a lack of UK call centre. The staff in the Indian call centre do try their best, but they can be hard to understand at times.
    Prices are very good too. Much cheaper than BT and many others. Overall, very happy with the service.

    Been with talk talk fair while now. Many issues have popped up in the past but I can honestly say in the last year things have got a lot lot better.
    I take full package includes tv, broadband fast fibre, telephone and 2 mobile contracts.

    I can honestly say in last 8 months the only reason I have called them is my tv, youview box was freezing, called customer service they went through things with me, and after this they offered me a new youview box and got that within days.

    Broadband speed and connection never goes down, cause I check it regular. Tv always on top working order, home phone never had issue with it and 2 mobile phone plans not one issue ever.

    All in all really happy with my services from talk talk.

    Prices are unbelievable for what you get.

    Went with TalkTalk despite so many bad reviews on here and TalkTalk being one of the worst rated, so I wanted to leave a review of my experience thus far.
    We ordered our WiFi, the time before we could get booked in could of been better. I think it was 2 weeks. We had to have a line setup. It was meant to cost £85 but it was credited back to us so we got it for free. (Side note: we have 5 phones with EE but they ‘couldn’t’ give us a free line setup). Our go live date was up until midnight of the day in which it was installed and it started working right away. So far I’ve had maybe a 30 second episode of slightly slow internet but they said thats to be expected for the first 10 days. Engineer was polite and quick, they even call when they’re on their way to you, I’m unsure if this is something you need to request, but either way this is something they can do. Online Customer service are readily available and saves stupid phone calls where you have to wait 30 minutes to have a 5 minutes phone call.
    I think the issue here is that people usually only pop by and leave a review if they have a bad experience to warn others.

    I have been with talk talk 3years now.
    First year we'll put it down to experience. contract renewed last year, and and I can honestly say I have personally found the service has vastly improved.
    I have ultra fast broadband,home telephone, and TV package and, 2 mobile phone contracts.

    My broadband is now excellent average speed never falls never stops. The TV package never faults. Telephone line no problems to report.
    Mobile contracts, and no issues whatsoever.
    When I phone customer service anytime I find if I have a issue it gets sorted there and then. The staff are friendly, and a few times I have to ask them to repeat themselves so I can understand but on the other hand with my strong glasgow accent I have to talk slower so that part works both ways.

    The service has improved greatly over the last year, and thankfully not had an issue that has not been resolved, but It honestly turns out it something I done not right.

    All in all its great value for your money and I'm glad I took out another 18 month contract which surprisingly I'm now paying almost half of what I was paying before.

    Yes I would recommend highly now in 2017.

    Recently switched to TT from BT. Struggled quite a bit at the beginning with TT's indian call centre. One of them had a goat/sheep nearby and bahhh'ed. Not sure if it was for lunch or what. In the end, it all worked out. The indian guys/gals tried very hard and succeeded in being professionals. Speed at greater 50mbits most of the time which BT never managed (was 20mbits on a good day). The line was rock solid and low voice line noise. Very pleased. Was worried at the beginning with all the 1 star reviews here. I am completely satisfied and doing this as a way to thank TT for a good job.

    New Customer who has defected from BT. With BT for years but concerned as I am being ripped off. Despite the bad reviews have gone with TalkTalk, The switchover was handled very well no troubles with set up. Find managing the account on line simpler than BT. No issues so far.

    I found this website by chance and cant believe the negativity expressed by the majority of reviews. I dont usually leave reviews but feel motivated to do so to try and redress the balance. I have been a TalkTalk customer for approximately 5 years and have never had an issue with the company. My telephone works no problem, my broadband speed is excellent, my You View TV service is very good and my mobile SIM only deal is an absolute bargain. I have had to contact customer services on only a couple of occasions in 5 years as I find that the help pages on the TalkTalk website usually answer my query or show me how to solve the problem. When I have had to talk to customer services they have always been very helpful. OK there may be a slight difference in communication style due to their call centre being in India but the staff are very polite & do try their best to help. I dont know if I have been extremely lucky, or other people have been very unlucky, but I can only reiterate that I have had no issues with this company and wanted to give other visitors to the site an alternative view.

    My land line went dead. I reported to talk talk and within 4 and half hours I had spoken to a very nice lady had two texts a open reach engineer arrived and sorted the problem. As people only seem to leave reviews when they have had bad service I felt it should be mentioned when it is good

    Been with TT for over 5 years. Never any problems until yesterday. Modem showing unable to connect to broadband. Went through the usual tests with no luck. Phoned TT suport and was talked through diagnostics. They could see I had a problem but no solution. Engineer visit scheduled next day. Engineer arrived, as scheduled, replaced router and everything worked. Even better, sync speed is the same but download speed has improved from 1.8Mb/s to 2.0Mb/s. Very good service from TT.

    I know people tend to only post reviews after having a bad experience. But I was just thinking, Talk Talk have been really good for me. Consistently low prices, speed is top notch, barely ever cut out and so far after about 3 years I’ve yet to really deal with price increases.

    My only real complaint is that they swindles me out of a promotional gift because I decided to pay upfront instead of monthly, which disqualified me. Despite nothing stating otherwise. Still salty about that

    Big leap in the right direction for talktalk always had better speeds than promised compared to others I have met who have have been with them since there bad patch my cabinet is quite a distance from my house as well for £23 a month you really can't go wrong

    Cant fault any of the TalkTalk services/Products. I am a Broadband engineer and can honestly say that more than half the people on this forum haven't a clue of how Broadband works and what to do to get the most reliable connection. Each household is different in terms of speed and reliability. Slow speeds can be down to a long line length from the nearest exchange from which a customer signing up should know what there getting before they sign up. Speeds are UPTO and you should not expect lightening throughput just because someone you know has a certain figure in regards to speed. Internal home setup is a big factor in slow unreliable speeds as on my travels I have visited 100's of homes in which the end user hasn't added a micro filter to an extension socket using a phone or using shop bought extension cable which is cheap cable only suitable for phone not Broadband. There are many factors that prevent you from not receiving an excellent reliable connection and there is plenty of information on the web.
    I have TV,BB Phone and mobiles from TalkTalk and have no issues with anything. Fantastic value and a great service beats any service provider out there.

    I've been with T-T for nearly 4 years and I've always had a good Service from them whilst their Customer Services are always very polite, helpful and deal with my Enquiry in a satisfactory way. The B/B speed used to be a bit 'iffy' but since they've introduced their new fibre 35 service its much faster now, and that is despite my area being known for poor reception (I've had to pay to have 'free sat'installed for my tv).

    I have been a customer of Talk Talk now for 6 years. Broadband has occasionally gone off for a few hours but has been restored without having to notify the company. I don't find this unreasonable I'm sure it happens on all networks.
    Last week my broadband disappeared and it was clear there was something wrong.
    I reported the fault and was put in contact with the call centre in India, the people there were extremely patient and helpful, I have to admit that they were at times a little difficult to understand but they did repeat things slowly until I did understand. I had two long sessions whilst they tested all manner of things and eventually it was concluded that there must be a fault in the equipment in my home. I was told that an engineer would be sent and an appointment was made as soon as possible. Several text messages were sent to keep me up to date with what was happening.
    The engineer arrived exactly as promised and sorted out the fault.
    I would just like to say that I found all the staff I dealt with to be extremely polite and caring. It was annoying to be without broadband for a week but I don't run a business from home or anything so no great harm was caused.
    Personally I would recommend Talk Talk to anybody I think they are a very genuine company.

    On simple broadband my speed was slowwww and connection erratic, moving to fibre it's stable and fly's and has done from day one. My speed was totally independent of TalkTalk, it was the ageing infrastructure at fault. People need to appreciate on the whole slow speed is beyond the control of the ISP. Yes they should be upfront about what to expect but arguably you could try asking a neighbour their speed given you will most likely be served by same cabinet. For the record I am on a fibre to cabinet and copper to house, my speed is great. Though my house phone is still a write off, I know I'm not alone on my street, I refer back to my comment of talking to neighbours.

    I have been a longstanding customer, many years, and cant really rate TalkTalks customer service as I only phone to renew my contract. I did take a point off customer service as when I phone to renew they insist I listen to them recount latest offers. I don't want to hear it but no they insist.

    For straight up fibre you can't fault em it's the archaic network which is limiting. It'll take a concerted effort which I think should be a priority above things like TV etc.

    Overall you can tell im a happy customer and don't rate ISPs it's the effort to improve the network which I want to see above all else. TalkTalk take note.
