Absolutely terrible customer service. Phoned re call shield so many times only to hang on 30 mins each time. Apparently chat on line is still busy after 1 hour and they do not reply to sms texts at all

Broadband speed has slowed to 3.3Mb today. It has been slow for a week now. Usually we can achieve 5.5Mb which is about as good as it gets in this area. Standard phone line speed is reckoned at 5.5Mb so we are the slowest around. Not happy. I shall be contacting Sky to see if they are slowing us down

I was originally with o2 but they shipped all their broadband customers to sky with a deal to keep the same broadband costs for a few years which they did adhere to
It is now £10 for broadband unlimited which is pretty good value and the broadband network is usually fine
My only gripe is that I have to pay an extra £5 for not having sky talk which brings my bill to £15
We are on BT light user and sky cannot beat the BT light user cost for line rental, so I am paying them £5 a month for nothing
I've complained to them and even contacted watchdog who did a feature on it but nothing has changed

I downgraded from virgin to Sky basic broadband package. Despite not being at the price I agreed to Its reliable (but obviously not as fast as Virgins) yet still more than capable of coping with Streaming On Netflix, Amazon and Now tv.

Painfully slow and constant disconnections. I've recieved 2 replacement hubs because of persistent wireless failures. I didn't choose this supplier, I was migrated from BeThere which was far better. Phone support is pretty good, I talk to them regularly.

Switching was easy, no other contact with customer service. Speed good except afternoons when it often stops. Same as previous 2 ISPs.
Watching video on YouTube stutters due to buffering even when speed test shows 30+ mbs and PC is on ethernet to router.

Overall OK. I moved away from SKY to EE. I regret that because EE is terrible. But Sky was OK. The speed was acceptable and customer service were great! But the broadband would go like twice in a month. That wasn't good but still. It's better than EE

Horrendous company! My tv, broadband and phone line deal ended and the price doubled. I called to discuss a new deal and there wasn’t much they could offer. So I terminated the contract. I was then sent a letter with a great deal. I agreed to the deal online and then I got an email through after with an increased price! I challenged it, and after loads of calls and been passed around I was told they wouldn’t honour the deal! I should be happy as the increased price was still a great deal?! I’ve never dealt with such incompetent and morally bankrupt people!!

It is ok but everyday my internet turns off for like 1-5 minutes then it starts again, but it doesn’t happen once a day it happens around 2-5 times a day which is annoying. Internet speed is poor. I bought 65-70 mbps but I usually get 20-50 mbps or maybe lower, I’m grateful for the decent internet but I pay a lot just to see my poor internet speed. Customer service is actually good to believe it. Once my internet went to around 5mbps and our average was meant to be 30mbps so we called customer service. They told us somethings and we got our internet working at a good internet speed. I would advice you to not get Sky if you have lots of people using devices at all times also if you work, play games, etc I would not advice you to get this internet because of the low speed you will get. If you’re saving money then buy this internet also if you’re patient or don’t really use your device I’d advice you to get it. There are much better broadbands then sky. Thank you for reading this!

Moving to Sky from Vodafone broadband has been a very disappointing experience. I am a graphic designer and depend on good connections speeds. I cannot understand how organisations can get away with boasting 8Mbps and delivering, at best 3Mbps. In any other industry this would be damned as misrepresentation.

I have been with Sky for broadband and now fibre for a couple of years And apart from offers I can say it's not that good. I switched to Fibre as the broadband was very slow when it decided it wanted to work, not sure if that was a sales ploy by Sky to get me on fibre. Anyway I was looking around to leave Sky but was offered free line rental for twelve months so signed up again. Overall Fibre is fantastic, I have several problems most of which have been blamed on my local exchange. The main problem with Sky is their hardware, the router/hub is shocking. I am now waiting for delivery of what will be my third router in less than 12 months. The one thing you cannot fault with Sky is the customer service, I can only imagine the crap they get from customers who are not getting the service.

I recently relocated from Darlington to Barnard Castle County Durham so I had to switch from Virgin Media to SKY (SKY fibre Max). Online SKY assured me that I would receive between 57 & 79 Mbs bb speed; I only receive an average of 40 Mbs! After complaining to SKY they sent out an 'Openreach' engineer to check my phone line-both inside the property & from the property to the BT cabinet & he stated that the phone line could not provide a bb speed any faster than 47 Mbs. As I stated previously, I was originally with Virgin Media for 20+ years & over the past two years I was assured of receiving 200 Mbs bb speed-yes, 200 Mbs & guess what, I received 200 Mbs bb speed!

they offered me a refund of £24 for total denyal of service 5nov2018 until 20dec when their own customer service representative had stated £8 per day compensation.they then increased their charges to negate the compensation and attempted to charge me more than 100% of what I had signed up for. AVOID SKY AT YOUR PERIL, they lie and rob you.

Most miserable 2 years of internet I've had. Constant days of connection coming and going like London rain. When I wanted to cancel for that reason they asked an extra cancellation fee... For all their hard work of not working.

And in the same call they tried to sell me upgrades with money back guarantees.

How about you provide a service worth staying for in the first place? Instead of trying to sell me a deal when I want to set your building on fire.

Been sat on the phone for 2 hours no way of being able to get through to an actual person at customer support. Then a further 3 hours waiting to speak to someone on live chat I gave up in the end. Looking at changing to another provider who is more than likely cheaper and who cares about their existing customers more than new ones

Terrible service. Did not let us know our contract ended, and as a result for two months we were charged over £10 a month more. After that, when we cancelled Sky Broadband, they still charged us for the next month. Despite not being on contract, phone operatives insisted we needed to provide 31 days notice to cancel and had to pay them for a month of broadband even though they already disconnected us and we couldn't use it. Spent over an hour on the phone, and over half an hour on hold, but no one was helpful.

When i had sky installed part of the package was if i wanted to take broadband. There was basic and an increase in speed for an extra £5 per month. Then recently i got an email from there saying that as a customer they going to upgrade my broadband speed for no extra. There has been no improvement so far, but the opposite at times its crawling. This is on a connection from router to my pc wired. Then when i use my laptop in other rooms its pitifull the speed, so slow. I left Talktalk because if there pathetic service, even from the company C.E.O. Looks like things got worse not better.

Extremely Frustrating! I switched over from EE to Sky a couple of weeks ago, and already I'm looking to jump ship and use another provider! First of all EE was alright, It wasn't the fastest in the world (around 4-5 mbps) but it was very very reliable, it never failed me, so after a year with them, I decided to go to Sky - bad move! the speeds is good enough, around 12 mbps, but the signal drops several times a day and this has been EVERY DAY since I've joined! This weekend its been like every 15-20 mins which is ridiculous. For a multi-million pound company, I really do expect better!

I've been with Sky for some years now but call every year to argue for a reduction on the bill for the next 12 months as they are not competitive (too expensive) and the service isn't great. I've had 2 modems from them now and the ranges are poor. The service is definitely intermittent - both by PC and my TV drop out reasonably regularly which is very frustrating if you're watching a film and have to take a break while the broadband reconnects which can take ages. I wouldn't recommend it but I stick with it as I can't be bothered to set up a new supplier. Virgin cable, which I had before, was much better but it was hideously expensive.

Awful customer service. Whenever there is a problem, you can never get through to an actual person to help you. Instead they put you on hold for ages while playing recorded messages trying to get you to solve the problem online. Which you can't because either you can't get online, or the issue you're having is not in the pre-canned list. Then you get disconnected. What a complete waste of time. I am switching to another provider as this service is totally unacceptable.

Had an automated phone call this morning informing me that my WiFi is about to be disconnected and to contacted my provider to have a new one installed. Tried to contact sky by text, live chat, email via their site but found it impossible. Tried phoning and repeatedly got the “we are extremely busy at the moment, waiting time is currently 20 mins” that I seem to get every time I ring them. Disgusting service. Don’t have anything to do with them - I wish I hadn’t. And this is only a few weeks after the last disruption in service.

Very difficult to get through to CS using their "live chat" facility. Phone team unable to offer any real deals. Lure in with great deals then more than double after deal ends. Broadband with sky feels congested during the evening.

The difference in deals for new customers and old is really terrible. If you have a choice of signing up with a provider that doesn't more than double the prices after their deal ends and has good customer service track records - go for that!!

Gillingham Kent Sky
Sky Broadband is without doubt the most abysmal internet service I have ever had. I signed up to Be Internet about 6 years ago (having read their Which review) and never had any problems with them. Recently they were bought out by Sky and I received letters telling me when my service would be transferred over. I was a little apprehensive, having read the Which website review, which revealed that Sky came 11th out of 12 suppliers for customer satisfaction.

A day or so after the transfer, I began experiencing internet outages two or three times a day and my ping rose from its usual 50-60ms to around 159ms. Download speeds were also awful. I was supposed to be getting 10-15mbps and if I were lucky, I'd get 100k/s (a tenth of the speed) on a good day and with a following wind. Then I received an email confirming that my monthly fee would be £30 (with Be it had been £17).

So I rang their customer services to complain about the jump in fee and the poor signal and to request my MAC code. Their advisor was very professional and explained that the reason for the monthly fee of £30 was merely because this was a first payment to Sky for being transferred over to their service and it would return to £17 per month thereafter. She put me through to the technical support, who told me that Sky were running a test on the line so my signal would be going up and down for about tne next 4 days but should settle down and return to it's previous levels.

My signal didn't improve. In fact, if anything, it got worse. More disconnections and streaming video was pretty much impossible.

5 days later my MAC code arrived and - in the same post - an itemised bill from Sky which revealed that my monthly internet fee was actually £12 for the broadband. The remainder of the £30 was made up of surcharges for not having Sky Talk and Sky TV included in my package!!! So effectively Sky were charging me for NOT having a product. I'm surprised they didn't chuck in a charge for not seeing the latest X-Men movie.

I immediately used the MAC code to subscribe to Zen (which I'd selected from their Which review). The next day, I get a phone call from a Sky customer sales advisor expressing sadness that I was leaving and asking the reasons (which I explained) and then asking me to hear what they could offer me - which included offering broadband for only £12 a month (he must not have realised I'd read my itemised bill) and significant discounts for my continued loyalty which he assured me - as a longstanding customer - I'd lose if I left them. I explained that I hadn't actually joined Sky by choice, I wasn't a long standing customer and he could give me the broadband for free for all I cared but I still wouldn't want it because it was so unreliable). He seemed genuinely perplexed that I'd happily pay MORE to leave Sky and go to a more reliable ISP.

The next 3-4 days were a trial as the Sky service continued to be abysmal. Then on the Friday, the signal changed over to Zen and - what do you know? - my signal improved immensely, my pings dropped from 160ms to 50ms and my download speeds went through the roof. I had a slight hiccup with the new router they sent me but I rang their technocal support team and their advisor talked me through how to set up my existing router to do the job until their replacement came. I haven't had any problems since and I couldn't be happier.

As to Sky broadband? I can say with conviction "NEVER AGAIN!"

We have had an ongoing issue with our sky broad band for about 3 months. Internet had been on and off. Sometimes off for days at a time. After numerous calls to sky...recently everyday the issue is still to be resolved. We have been instructed to buy a new router which did not work then 2 days later a engineer and now a week later they want us to pay for another engineer to come out. We are paying for broad band and on demand services which cannot be used. Id advise using another provider if you want any reliability and to save money.
