At beginning of June my internet disappeared - just thought it was usual(!) drop-out - 2 days later realised no phone-line either - after the usual 40 minutes wait using my mobile, they |

There are two good things about this ISP - its cheap and sometimes it works. The rest is utterly bad. |

Failing internet, phone line cuts off while on the phone. Put on hold for minimum of 40 minutes then disconnected. Customer service is appalling. Router didn’t work was offered compensation which was never received. Don’t reply to emails, 14 emails sent! Not a single reply. Never received call backs as told I would. Ombudsman contacted and took case on and struggled with contact. Agreement made for compensation after 2 months. Origin had 28 days to make compensation payment and failed, however took more money from my bank after the account with them was closed. Case is still ongoing with ombudsman. Disgusting treatment from this company. |

Appalling service from start to finish. Poor internet signal, terrible customer service, incorrect billing and now they want £40 for a router that didn't work, having failed to provide details of how to return it. AVOID. |

Surely I cannot be the only one in step? I have been with origin approx 18 months and am so pleased with them that I signed up for a further term. Yes there were some initial issues but they were all resolved satisfactorily. Compared to BT they are a godsend. In recent months they seem to have upped their game and performing well. Am I just lucky or do others expect too much from their supplier? I'll keep you posted. |

Giving this bunch of idiots 1 star is far to generous as there is no provision for zero. The speed with fibre is around 4.1 mbps. They have had to replace the router and it is the same. Open reach have been out and have splinters in their fingers after scratching their heads. The customer service is non existent the technical team are useless and to cap it all the billing dept cannot add up a simple sum and get it right. Half a chance and they will rob you blind. They have won awards according to their e mails. I guess this was the wooden spoon award from Talk Talk. Do yourself a favour do not go with these jokers. |

I would give this no stars if possible. The company were slow, unhelpful on the phone and had terrible queues. The service they ended up providing was so slow (0.2MB) that it was almost unusable. After a month of trying to get released, they finally let me out of my contract, and then had the cheek to continue sending me bills. Don't be fooled by the friendly call centre staff, they will do absolutely nothing to sort your problem. Cheap but rubbish. |

I wish I read everyone's reviews about company..it's the most ridiculous company ever invented.rubbish service..just big scam..free router turns out you got to pay for router if you cancel contract..I wouldn't be tempted by their rates..they hide everything..I am now reporting them to Ombudsman..I never been so shocked.. |

This company should be closed down taking money under false pretences. Not providing the service they claim they can give. Some days even amazons ALEXA. Won’t work. Today I phoned after 40minutes they answered. And 30secnds later the line went dead I only wanted to know when my contract ends so I can get rid of them. **** company wish I had never used them. If you’re thinking of going with them DON’T |

Just want to do some update information to everyone if they want to join this boardband company, PLEASE STEP AWAY from this company. If anyone also suffer with this company, PLEASE REPORT their poor service to OMBUDSMAN. As Origin never give you compensation or service cancelation. |

In Feb 2017 I bought an 18 month contract up front from Origin. 5 months into it Origin started charging me for the broadband I had already paid for! Countless phone calls several letters and I've got nowhere. Thankfully they suggested I cancel my direct debit so several months later (May 2018) we are about even on costs but I don't know how to progress from here when I have such mistrust in their ability. |

This is possibly one of the worst companies I have ever had any dealings with. We signed up to a 12 month fixed price contract as we thought the price was good. What a mistake. From the moment we changed over to them, our internet became almost non-existent. It would drop out for hours, sometimes days on end. It even got to the point where our printer could not connect to the network and refused to print anything at all. When we called customer service, we would be fobbed off with a load of excuses and put on hold for sometimes up to 20 minutes, finally being put through to their 'Technical' team who all sounded like they were completely clueless. We never once had any problems resolved by them. This went on for 3 months and after endless calls with no resolution we decided to leave and pay the breaking contract fee. We emigrated over to Sky and it was the best thing we've ever done. For £3.00 more a month the service is infinitely better and so is the customer service. If you want to keep your sanity, I suggest you avoid Origin like the plague - there are just as good offers to be had elsewhere with a much better all round service. |

Slow speeds and I mean slow. Nowhere near the package that I signed up for. If you need to get in touch to complain make sure you have a few hours free as it'll take you a while to get through. They don't connect you until the cooling off period has expired so they can charge you the full contract if you want to leave. The billing is random amounts. They re authorise cancelled dd too which my bank says can't happen so think it must be fraud too. |

Truly awful all round .constant dropouts poor speeds poor service. I've never know a company like this. The only thing that's reliable about this company is the direct debits..please avoid |

Incredibly disappointed with my experience with Origin. I was with them for over a year before cancelling. The speed and reliability was poor, with streaming tv services constantly buffering. At least four times in the year I had to call up to report that the Wi-Fi had gone completely for no reason. When I called to cancel they said that all broadband services to my address would have the same issues, which was not true, I was with Sky for about 6 years with no problems. Then, they didn't bother telling me that as I was cancelling I would need to return the router. This also wasn't mentioned in the cancellation email they sent. When I phoned to query why I was being charged £40 they said it was because I had to return the router. Apparently this is in the terms and conditions, but I pointed out that given the high cost, why would this not be mentioned in the phone call when I cancelled. This is blatantly a scam because they know most people won't read the terms and conditions. |

Rubbish speed, can't achieve the speed of the package they sell you even tho there is a lower speed package. Fraudulently re authorise direct debits. Bad customer service, that's if you can actually get through. Would give 0 stars if I could. Steer clear. |

Without a shadow of doubt, this is the worst broadband supplier of ALL time. Broadband speed? Don't make me laugh. Reliability - dropped out several times a week. End of contract have to send back their router. They signed for on 16 April and on 1 May I'm still being chased for payment for non return of router. This lot couldn't run a bath let alone a business. If it was possible to take stars away I would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You'll waste years of your life waiting for them to answer the phone |

Quite literally the worst ISP i have ever had to deal with. I purchased 38mb fibre in April 2017. My average download speed for the first 3 months was 3mb. I left complaint after complaint with their support team, which usually took over an hour on hold and being passed between departments. 4 months into my term, my download speed was fixed, and the latency was broken! 180ms to get to google, so VOIP calls / gaming went straight out of the window. It took another 3 months for me to get through to someone who logged a fault with Open Reach. At this point i asked to cancel my contract, and i was told i would have to pay off my entire 18 month contract to do that. I left it until this week, where i asked if i could move my connection to my new house as my rent contract was up, and was told i would have to sign another 18 month contract or pay off my remaining months, with a £30 cancellation charge! Do not deal with this company. |

wouldn't even give one Star if I could. Origin broadband all need to training on customer service as to how bad they are. On hold for 40+, having the phone put down! No internet connection. Stick to well known providers wouldn't recommend to my worse enemy! Messed up business you can see by all the bad reviews that's all over the internet! |

Terrible service and fraudulent actions. Paid and signed up for a 74mb broadband service and after a couple of weeks rang them to see why I was only getting 15mb (this was the highest speed I got it was usually around 7mb) then was told I could only get UPTO 27mb in my area. Tried to cancel and they said I couldn't as was out of the cooling off period, even though this was under 14 days since my connection started but took over 2 weeks for my broadband to go live, so they're not that stupid. Cancelled the direct debit and posted the router back to them. They then set up a direct debit without my authorisation and continued to take money out of my account. I had to get in touch with the bank to stop them taking any more money. I was probably in the wrong doing this but didn't see why I should pay for a service when they had lied about the speed. They have now passed my bill for the full cost of the contract to a debt recovery agency and the ombudsman are having to deal with the case. Not worth the hassle and wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. |

Here we are 12th April 2018 and I'm STILL trying to get back my money that Origin took from my direct debit as I paid a year upfront. I later found they had also been taking monthly payments from my Bank account and eventually had to close the direct debit to stop them doing it as they continued even after I complained. |

First day left Origin Broadband and I am so happy after suffering 12 months of flaky and slow broadband. I am going to take the hit of £40 router because frankly (1) you cant get through on the phone (nope, you cannot email them) and (2) other comments about still waiting on refunds, think I'd value my happiness and save the hassle. I now moved and pay another telco at the same price but I get 36Mbps down rather than 4Mbps. So happy to move away from the Origin Broadband. |

Fibre broadband frequently drops out for minutes at a time during evenings. Regularly find websites blocked due to "Unusual traffic from your IP address." Static IP address was changed with no warning. Spent more hours than I care to think about listening to their on-hold music and staff have never called me back despite promises on several occasions. They are currently blocking Vodafone so my SureSignal box can't connect - Zero progress with this for 6 days now despite calling every day. |

No problem during the lifetime of my contract, but on changing providers, was charged for services after my broadband service switched, and 4 months on have still to receive a refund for this charge (or even an acknowledgement that I have been overcharged). Also, a charge of £40 will be made for the router unless it is returned to Origin Broadband (they refund the postage up to £3.50, but the cheapest postage cost is £3.90). |
