Signing with Origin was a bad mistake. We do not have the internet most of the time, when we do the speed is pre-2000 dial up modems. The customer service is substandard. First you have to wait an hour to get through to them "first tier" ( that is the people who do not know what ping is). They lie most of the time saying the outage is nationwide for all ISPs and the open reach are working on it. That is to avoid paying a compensation. And so you are left with a paid upfront annual contract and no Internet. The only advice is to AVOID these people or loose your money. |

Like others I wish I had read the reviews. This bunch of cowboys really do not care, they just want your money. Delays in installation meant I wanted to cancel, but like an idiot I didn’t check the small print, and cancellation has to be 24hrs before they go live, which means all the advantage lies with them. There are much better out there, and hopefully you are reading this before you sign up. |

No stars for anything ! The Irish guy who talked me into signing up was nice! Then no connection lots of very young lads running about pretending to connect my tiny router !! Really wish I had read the reviews . It’s not really an internet company it’s just a scam to get £18 out of people. Now I can’t get in touch on live chat or e mail. They aight to be taken to court for fraud. |

Customer service for cancellation is horrific. 45 -1 hr wait with responses that are vague, rude, and a 30 min wait between each reply. They should use a bot. |

This is by far the worst company I ever dealt with, My router fails to recognise my password 90% of the time, I can't watch films or TV without it dropping out every few minutes, Even worse for me I got the contract as I am starting college, Lessons have become remote for the main part due to covid, It dropped out 7 times in the first 90min lesson, The oonly way I get contact with anyone from origin is to go online elsewhere and act as a prospective customer, They fone me 9am next morning but still have not spoken with technical support 60days later DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME |

Truly awful support. Seriously, brain dead and extraordinarily slow. I have spent a total of NINE hours with their "live" chat team. After the first 3 hours they identified a fault on the line and told me it would be fixed in 48 hours. 3 weeks later and 6 more hours with support, nothing has happened. Every time I go back to support, the morons just read off the tech support script, and when I tell them repeatedly that I have already done this and they have already identified the fault, they just read the next line on the script. Their staff are incapable of independent thought - they should just use an AI bot, at least that could reply more than once every 30 minutes! |

I was sold a broadband package, they never installed it, refused to cancel the agreement, and have ignored my letters of complaint. I ended up just cancelling the DD, maybe now theyll get in touch. It turns out Fibre optic isnt even available in my area, and they still sold me the package... |

This is the worst internet provider I have ever used, I have only been with them for 3 months and have been unable to stream any media over the router they provided. Nobody seams to know what they are doing .I phoned them numerous times but the tech team was unable to resolve my issue and was even told that 6 devices were to many to connected to the router. |

Absolute trash. Line speeds of half what I used to get with Plusnet. When I tried to get their tech support to help, many hours were wasted with incompetent staff who can only read off a script, and when they reach the end of the script they just stop replying. Even when they said they were going to fix the line, nothing happened. It takes hours on their "live" chat for a 5 minute conversation, and they don't even bother reading your replies. Might as well talk to a brick wall. |

This is the biggest joke of an internet I have ever seen in my entire life. I am like 90% sure this broadband is based in a 14 year old's garage with about 2 employees. I get 1mb download, and the highest ping spikes I have seen in my life, if anything shutting down your garbage tier internet would be the most professional thing I have seen from this company. what a complete joke, they have the audacity to say '' GAMING INTERNET '' yes if you like getting throttled and having 180 ping, sure it's gaming internet, I HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT GETTING THIS BROADBAND |

For internet speed (great) customer service (****) i first began with them mist May, they got my order wrong & set me up with the downstairs flat. I could still connect to it as guy downstairs had moved out, but without any notification, they cut me off for 14 days then re-connected me, 6 days later i was issued my first bill of 17.99, was not happy & tried to sort out some sort of arrangement the screw up, i was given a free month to be added to my account but days later another 17.99 came out of my bank account for the next months bill. I complained & won 2 months line rental, its notw 30 days later & i still havent recived the 2 months line rental back, im getting pissed off with the sevice as it is. Will be making a indemnity claim to get my cash back & suggest that everyone else does the same. |

Very poor service internet is always cutting out. Took 14 days + before I got the router which is the cooling off period so know am tied to the contract. Tried umpteen times to get through to someone in customer services but get cut off after hanging on for 45minutes. Not happy with these. |

Absolutely disgusting to say the least. Been holding on for 39 mins and 1st in queue. I work for NHS and it’s imperative I have internet as advised when I joined them! It had yet again given me stress beyond belief. Poor customer service and taking money under false pretences as they are not providing a service.... next step solicitor for suing !!!!!! **** service, that had affected my mental health. |

I’ve only had origin Broadband for less than a month and it is the worst I’ve had by far. Before I had set it up I called and was on hold for 30 minutes before the call cut out, so I ended up not speaking to anyone and having to try and work it out by myself, after 3 hours, I got it working. And it worked like a dream, when it was only me in the house, I’m 17, so I live with my mum, her partner and my sister, so there are 4 of us on this WiFi all day, and then my sister has friends round, so there is more, and before I was with origin I was with talktalk and they could keep up with the amount of people and the only reason my mum switched was because it kept dropping out and costed too much, so that’s when we switched, currently there are only 3 people in my house, 4 devices are connected to the WiFi, you’d think it would be able to keep up, well no. I was watching Netflix and the quality dropped so much I could not see the video. 10/10 will NOT recommend. Awful customer service as you don’t get to speak to anyone. Awful WiFi speed. Absolutely horrendous. |

I signed up and paid £34 something the whole thing has been a disaster. Customer service is non existent and I have asked for my money back. Wasn’t sent a box, they’d inadvertently cancelled my order then having spent several days trying to get some answers by phone and on line I have achieved nothing. They asking the same questions i have replied but zilch. How can anyone run a company where everyone is so inept. Do not go there. It should be illegal. I feel conned. |

We signed up to the company a few months back. We had no internet for the first month. Then the Internet was so terrible when we did have it. The customer service is non existent. They had no idea how to help. The waiting on the phone to connect to an advisor, every day was an hour. We called 5 times a day some days and that was pathetic and ridiculously unacceptable. The advisors expected us to use screwdrivers and mess around with our connection points that connect to the router. They promised to send out an engineer and never did. It was absolutely disgraceful. They then charged us to try and cancel and still wanted us to pay for the non existent broadband they had supplied. I would give them a 0 rating if I could. Please don’t sign up with them. |
