    I cannot understand the negative feedback here! Maybe only people with problems post feedback? I changed to Fleur some time ago and cannot recommend them highly enough. They have been brilliant and so kind and helpful when I had problems; someone even called back the next day to check I was ok and everything was running smoothly. Great firm.

    I don't want to seem to be living in cookoo land, but I am more than satisfied with service they provide, I had to wait 2 years for Openreach to bring fibre near enough to my property. When it arrived I called Fleur Telecom, they had me connected when they said they would and quicker than other houses around me who had a BT contract. Other queries have been dealt with efficiently. I would be reluctant to leave them as the service has been reliable for meetings and my childrens' on line university studies.

    Talk Talk sold us off to Fleur with no option!!!
    Fleur are very new(as they admit) so they have problems but in our case they(in particular Mr.Simon Machin)could not have done more to help.We had a very difficult fibre optic installation-one of the first Fleur were involved in.The main problem was Talk Talk not letting us or Fleur know fibre optic was available.We were very lucky with Fleur and the Open Reach engineers we had.Any problems on difficult installation was BT not talking to Fleur or to Open Reach so they often arrived unannounced!
    We have no problems since.But we had loads of problems with Talk Talk

    Like many was transferred from Talk Talk, best thing that happened. After a few initial problems which were really Openreach based (and Openreach were very good and quick in sorting) my speed increased from less than 5 with Talk Talk to a promised up to 17. This turned out to be 19.1 !
    Recently advised that I am to be upgraded to fibre and 30 speed for no additional charge, the new router arrived yesterday.
    Overall I am delighted with Fleur and surprised that others are experiencing problems.

    Having been transferred from Talk Talk to Fleur several years ago I have just moved my internet provider to them and could not be more satisfied. My previous download speed was 0.1 mps now it is 20mps. The customer service (from Jamie and Damien) was excellent with much helpful advice and the new router arrived before the expected date. As far as reliability is concerned I have given it 5 stars but will have to wait and see how it continues!

    Like many I was forced to move to Fleur by TalkTalk. Delighted they did, I am paying significantly less for higher speed. Promised as an up to 17 MBs service it proved to be 20MBs !
    I did have a problem with the speed dropping to a crawl but they responded very quickly and got Openreach out, although they did warn it may cost £170. It turned out to be a fault with some connectors at the local exchange and the Openreach guy could not have been more helpful and checked all my house connections, replacing a few items and all for free.
    The only 4 star response is for reliability as it is sometimes difficult to connect around the time all the offices are opening up but then that would be peak time for a business orientated company.

    My experience with a Fleur is positive. With no extra cost they increased my broadband speed from 2mgs to very nearly 40 msg. Delighted.
    Problem with landline last summer but this was an underground problem that needed sorting by BT.

    Had a fault with the telephone line, rang fleur telecom at 10am on a friday, open reach contacted me at 1pm, telephone line temporary repaired by 3pm. How's that for service! It was good to speak to someone at a call centre in Preston rather than a call centre abroad!

    I moved to a house with Fleur as the existing provider. There were not a lot of options so I went with them. It was hard work - four or five calls to join as a customer and take over the existing line. However once I got through to the right person (thank you Sarah) it worked from day one, and was faster than my old Sky line. It has been stable and trouble free for the past week.

    This is an update on my previous review having taken over an existing account in a rural area. After six months or so I found the speed was mostly OK with some minor drops. As with other customers, BT Opernreach brought fibre to the local cabinets.

    The first I knew was when my broadband failed and after troubleshooting called Fleur, who the told me what was happening and that it would improve speeds. By next day still no connection so I called again to discover that Fleur had found a line fault and asked BT to fix it, but again, had not told me.
    The main problem was that Fleur would not believe I was the client. Somehow they had rolled back six months and thought the previous occupier was the account holder. So they would not talk to me or believe me even though they sent letters and emails addressed to me. It took a lot of sorting out and Fleur suggested I track down the previous occupier and get them to contact them. Finally they accepted me and sid there was nothing they would do anyway, but that I should not expect a visit from an engineer.

    SAn hour later a BT engieer turned up at my door! Ge was good though. He discovered that the cabinet had water i it so he drained and fixed that. We had not actually been connected, so he fixed that.

    So the conclusion is that Fleur staff are a bit overworked and get confused, and don't communicate with the customer.

    Have been with Fleur since account was transferred away from, initially Virgin, then Talk Talk and to be fair the broadband speed was just the same as it had been with both of them. Live in a rural location where speed is never better than 1.0 to 1.5 Mbps but since last week it has dropped dramatically to a useless 0.10 Mbps. Contacted Fleur who said they would run some diagnostics and report back. They did so but said they could not find anything amiss and as my line rental was paid to BT (I only pay for calls and broadband to Fleur) I should contact them. Of course BT said they couldn't help as they are not my ISP although they did run a line check and reported back it was fine so they could do nothing more. I now feel stuck in no-man's land.

    Their customer service is awful. My parents phone line went down. Mum is 84 , dad is 92 and on end of life care. We tried to report the fault. They wouldn't talk to my brother because he wasn't the account holder. My mother tried to speak to them just to report the fault. Same response. They have Lifeline for medical emergencies. They tried to speak to someone. It made no difference, they wouldn't talk to them. They made my mother wake up a dying man to authorise them to talk to one of us so that we could report the fault. We are beyond disgusted, this will be going to the Ombudsman.

    Service was alright but a bit pricey. When my mother died however (it was her service) they refused to stop the contract without being paid for the duration of the contract, fully, in my case an extra 7 months. This despite it not being a contract with me. They kept citing "company policy". Avoid these awful people at all costs.

    Fleur are excellent with customer service. However, they are working with an impossible situation where BT Openreach have not upgraded or maintained the lines from the nearest exchange, so matter what they do, we are lucky to get 1Mbs download speed. BT Openreach, being a monopoly, are a law unto themselves and do not even keep ISPs informed (who rent broadband space from them) and neither their own technicians. Consequence - hours and days of time lost chasing 'faults' which are known, ongoing and unfixable.

    After contacting fleur telecom about on an on going problem the man I spoke to was reluctant to help. Then putting me on hold, again and again when the manager(I'm sure it was the same guy) finally came to the phone. He, like the rest of company was a useless unhelpful twister, more focused on reading the script back to me and getting every last penny out of my pocket than actually listening to a customer. I will be contacting ofcom immediately and I would advise anyone else, like me, who was involuntarily changed to fleur to follow suit.

    Shocking Company - Beware!
    My father passed away last year and up until we received probate we were unable to access my fathers bank accounts. Since October we started receiving letters from Fleur Telecom saying there was a late payment on the account but no mention that we were getting charged because of this. We paid all the invoices that came through on a monthly basis but was surprised that the bills were so high!.
    In February I phoned Fleur to ask them why we had not received any invoices and the answer was that it was paperless billing. Obviously we were unaware of this as did not have access to my dads email. I asked Fleur due to the circumstances could the late payments be removed as we were completely unware and had zero contact from them to say this but they could not care less. They care more about making money than customer service it seems. Would definitely NOT recommend!!

    We too had to move from Talk Talk,Initially was ok as we received same terms (approx 4.6-5.1mb download)
    Recently had a line fault and was also told it may cost £170 if the fault was with me. Open Reach fixed line fault within 4 days but we now only have 0.51-1.12 download. When i rang to find out what had happened to the speed was told "it may take up to 10 days to come back up to speed"??? have spoken to customer services since and spoke to a very disinterested girl who stated that the fault was fixed and there was nothing they can do ref speed,this is because i am within what is quoted on the contract despite being way below the original speed.I also asked about terms of contract, as i was thinking of leaving to find a better deal and all the girl said was "if that's what i wanted then that was fine but other providers are much the same as us". Seems they want your money but don't want to do anything to help solve issues.I am now in the process of finding a new provider STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.

    Just Had a complaint and found their Customer service terrible. Didn't listen to the actual complaint that I had and therefore did not address it properly. Didn't choose to go to them but after being bumped by Talk Talk to them had no alternative. Would stay away. Don't choose to use them.

    Awful speed of broadband - a snail could go faster. Followed up by insensitive handling of a/c closure following death of a/c holder - no flexibility or business sense shown despite receiving money for months without any use. Would never ever use again.

    My landline developed a fault in August, and I was without it for almost 10 days!! Having spent hours on my mobile trying to get them to sort out the problem , they gave the impression that they were not really interested in sorting things out.
    Two of their operatives carried out line tests and said there was not fault, whilst a third one said that there was a fault. It took them another five days to contact BT Openreach so that an appointment could be made.
    I would not recommend then to anybody - I had far better service when the company was called Talk Talk!!!!!

    After switching over to a contract I am still waiting for a router everytime I ring them it is due on special delivery every time a new lie.
    I did eventually mange to get on the net with my old router but it is very intermitant and is always cutting out. My telephone service was off Sunday Morning also. I am not impressed they have a good helpless line where they tell you lies contantly I told one of the staff I would complain to Offcom she just laughed at me. I think they are all the same rotton to the core but they never forget to collect the monthly money.

    Although only 1.3 miles from the exchange broadband download speeds are very slow averaging under 2 Mbps and frequently hovering around 1 Mbps. When I originally signed up for the service with AOL it was on the understanding that the speeds would average 10Mbps. With a succession of providers taking over from each other the speeds have gradually reduced to a point where many tasks eg. online banking, video conferencing, online shopping are often impossible.This road has no Fibre service and is unlikely to get one in the forseeable future although the fibre cable runs down the the Embo Road 0.5 miles away. The line is prone to dropping at the most inconvenient moments making online purchases a frustrating experience. Fleur Telecom's website does not provide for customer interaction via chat line and customer service phone line is closed at the moment.

    Everything about this company is bad! Speed is very poor, customer service is a complete joke, they are ill-mannered, I’ll-informed and will not accept anything but their view even when proved to be incorrect. We had no choice but to use them having been sold off by Talk Talk but if you have an option, you have been warned....AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

    I don't usually write reviews but am currently listening to my husband on the phone, yet again, to Fleur having to convince them that our internet outage, for no less than two weeks, was no fault of ours. Rather than apologise they are charging us for those two weeks when they told us we wouldn't be charged for a service we didn't have and are now also trying to charge us for the BT engineer when the fault was not ours. This has caused us no end of stress and frustration, we work from home and in an area with no 4g coverage so were completely restricted in what we could do. An occasional drop is understandable, this is unacceptable. Will be switching providers ASAP.

    Sadly, due to old copper cables owned by Openreach, Fleur are unable to provide us with the service they had promised. Infact it is dreadful. BUT they will not let me out of the contract and were very unhelpful saying that it was not their policy to let people leave even though they have not been able to uphold their side of the contract. VERY disappointed and would not recommend

    Terrible provider who when I reported a fault told me they'd disconnected me & that to reconnect I'd need to renew my contract. This resulted in me looking for a new provider althought they couldn't connext me for nearly 3 weeks. Then when I had switched provider they had the cheek to bill me for a service they had not provided & claim I'd never contacted them.

    I doubt I'm the only one with this grievience.

    Terrible company with not an ounce of help or sympathy and hides behind T&C's. My parents both died within 11 weeks of each other which left a bill outstanding of c.£40. Called to discuss how to cancel but to be fair there was lots more to worry about than cancelling broadband. They have now invoiced me for 2 months at £74 stating that I didn't contact them in time. I talked to credit control who said that I should have notified them earlier and that the monies are outstanding. Having dealt with gas and electricity and even supermarkets these are the only company to shrug shoulders and say there is nothing they can do. If you wish deal with a company that treats customers like this then great but I would suggest you pick one with better customer service and empathy. Ridiculous especially when I supply death certs. They have added further stress to an already unpleasant experience. Well done!!!

    i wish i had read the reviews before!.Appalling company where the right hand does not know what the left hand has done .
    I have just been to Citizens Advice Bureau and have contacted Ofcom.
    I took out a contract,but because i could not access it,cancelled within my statutory time. They allege that i waived my right to cancel and insist that i pay their cancellation fee They have been threatening and harassing to an 80 year old since then and keep alleging that i owe them vast sums of money.

    DO NOT CHOOSE FLEUR! Very expensive for a low quality service. We were promised fibre before we signed a 2 year contract, but they gave us ADSL (very slow internet which was used back in the 2000s). We had internet issues and after it was resolved, we were billed an extra £180 as they said it was our fault (it was an internet line fault!). DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

    Absolutely disgraceful service. Our broadband band speed is so slow it takes 7 hours to upload and send 1 song so we arranged to pay for an upgrade and be connected to fibre optic. This was in January. On February 10 we received a date for April 6 between 8.00am and 1.00 am. The engineers did not arrive!

    My very elderly parents are moving house, and I'm trying to do as much for them as possible. I contacted the company, to change address, and was quoted " company policy" on each and every subject. Can I point out to any perspective customers, that it doesn't matter how infirm their customers are, and whether they need an ambulance in the middle of the night. This company is not prepared to assist anyone with disabilities, and to try and connect any phone line any quicker. Liam..... if anyone could have heard our conversation today, they would realise what a useless outfit you work for. Liam was the supervisor who promised to ring me back... I'm still waiting Beyond useless....
