We were promised a smooth change over by EE. It did not go to plan. They blamed Open Reach for the problem. When I spoke to 4 different customer service reps about their promise, I was either brushed off or spoken to very rudely. If you are thinking of going with EE dont bother. I literally just received a text from them to say they will provide an uodate in 5 days time, no need to call them! Really disgusting.

Absolutely terrible. When you test the broadspeed, the readings are usually quite good, but they are not backed up by the actual experience.
The connections drop randomly and stop in the middle of something. Some websites simply become unaccessible for a few seconds to a few mins and then reconnect. Totally unreliable. Really regreted signing with EE for broadband.

Only had this broadband provider for about 2 weeks but I have had good experiences with them so far! We chose them because they kept on calling us about switching to them and persuading us. We initially said that we’d wait around until September to decide whether we would stay with Post Office or move to EE, but because Post Office has been intermittent and lockdown and everything, along with the inability to play Roblox properly, we made the decision to switch in June and not in September.
I like that it’s faster, much more faster than PO who I’ve had to use for years.
Minimal drops of connection occurred from the broadband end. Only two so far from the router’s end and they happened on the first day (it was the first day so it’s understandable)!
It does drop a little bit in some apps but I just close them out of the app switcher and open them up again and it works fine! Might be the iPad but I do not know.
Not intermittent yet but it’s still early days. I would recommend this lot for your broadband but I wouldn’t recommend Post Office! I’m glad that mum chose this broadband!

Wireless connections are throttled can't even reach 1 Mb and I'm paying for the 2nd highest tier (top tier not available in my location). The customer service is generally nice but do not purchase this broadband as it a bad quality product. Suggest NOW TV as a provider as its far superior. (I have personally only experience 2 providers)

Don't use EE broadband. They provide 13Mbps download while Plusnet managed 34Mbps (same technology, also part of BT). They don't believe you when you complain, close tickets without consultation (I'm on #4 for same problem), send out engineers (#4 tomorrow) who confirm the problem, then close the ticket because "its fine our end" and play parse the parcel. Tickets can't be reopened, tickets aren't tied to master tickets, and you get content free "your bill can seen on our website" emails and texts every month.
I'm going to persue this for all my 2 year contract, by which time I expect to know every Openreach engineer in SE London.

Everything excellent, service, speed, connection in all rooms etc etc.. My only comment is I pay £28.50 Fibre plus broadband..at end of contract it goes up to £44.50
Cheaper price only for new customers, however at least they told me about price hike unlike previous company 'Sky' who just billed at higher rate without warnings..

Called to enquire about renewal options.
Excellent professional service and realistic, honest advice given. Renewed on the same plan for 18 months.
While on the call the person I spoke to picked up (from the diagnostic information they had access to) there was a potential issue which, when correlated with EE engineers was confirmed as a potential line fault. Issue reported to BT Openreach. I had noticed that my Broadband had been acting up and so problem solved.
Very pleased.

EE send you pointless "your bill is ready on our website" messages by email and SMS each month, and you can't stop them.
I have a speed problem, and its been a huge struggle getting through to second line support. You feel they don't believe you "Its working our end, ticket closed"

I wish I read those reviews 4 months ago! Got EE broadband in February and here were are not even at the end of June, I’ve called to cancel and I’m not even mad about that cancellation fee. For me to no longer have this broadband, I’ll gladly pay! Working from Home had been hell with this quality broadband and I owe SKY an apology for moving! I never had any issues with SKY but since my phone was with EE, they totally bamboozled me with their deal offers whilst they had me on the phone! Lord, never again! If you ever call a company about one thing and they try to sell you another whilst they got you on, DROP THE CALL

Contracted EE after rubbish time with Virgin Media - out of the frying pan into the fire!! Garbage service - garbage support, garbage product - and no real desire to fix. I’ll be ditching their mobile ASAP as I don’t wish to be associated with such rubbish! STAY AWAY FROM EE!

Avoid EE broadband. Worst WiFi I’ve ever had. Constantly drops connection even to devices in the next room from the router. Parents also have EE broadband in a different area and they’ve had exactly the same experience.

Be aware when signing up all inclusive calls do not include mobile calls, you have to choose another option to include mobiles. Found this out at my cost on first bill. Customer service is good and changed but in this day and age why aren't mobiles included I guess a good way to squeeze even more out of customers. Broadband is reliable and quick.

EE is a joke with no integrity and no customer service and support.
I have been with the EE since 2018 and I renewed my contract paying £30/mnth in February as I was told I will be getting 47-71 Mb/s estimated download speed range. And that is what I got exactly for 2 weeks and then it dropped down to 28-30 Mb/s.
I gave them a call and the guy who spoke to me told me they will send an engineer to look for any outside connection faults. And if the problem didn't get fixed and if the service did not work as expected then I can terminate my agreement without any charge. When I asked him if I have to be at home, I was told I don't really have to be there as it was an outside job. After a couple of days, I got a message saying there wasn't any fault.
I thought the service will get better so, I waited. But there were no changes and I decided to cancel my agreement and move to a different provider.
I got this letter saying I will have to pay the termination charge of £158.07. Now as I had the right to cancel the agreement as discussed, I gave them a call to clear things. Sounds crazy, I had to talk with 5 different staffs and I had to be on the phone for more than 2 hrs just to talk on this matter and get things clear.
The lady I spoke to in first place told me THE ENGINEER WAS NOT ABLE TO BE THERE BECAUSE OF CURRENT COVID SITUATION and was trying to help me out. The line was kept on hold but after a while, the line cut off. I waited for 5-10 mins hoping I will get a callback. Nothing came.
I gave them a call again and spoke to this guy and mentioned him the same thing again. Guess what, the line got cut off.
I had to call them again and this guy, the third person I spoke to told me I have to pay the charge because THE ENGINEER WAS THERE AND THERE WAS NO FAULT WITH THE CONNECTION.
Now, WHO SHOULD I BELIEVE TO???????????????????????????????????? the lady I spoke to in first place or this guy.And guess what, I told him they are saying me different things. As soon as I mentioned to him that, he transferred the call to another staff from the technical section.
Now, this lady told me because of this current situation they need at least 90 days to fix the problem and I am not allowing them to do that and that is why I have to pay the charge. I tried to explain to her but then she transferred the call to her manager. Now, the manager told me the engineer did come to my property and I DIDNOT GIVE HIM AN OPPORTUNITY TO GO INSIDE MY HOUSE TO RECTIFY THE FAULTS. Also, they expect a call from me if the service is not working properly.
My question is how many times do I have to ring them and tell them about the same thing again and again. Also, EE usually put you on hold for long and they transfer your call from one staff to another having you explaining the same thing again.
As you can see people are saying different things just to make me pay that charge. There is no big issue with paying the charge but since they are lying and making things up, that is clearly a lie. Can say, that is a fraud. This manager told me this is how they do the job. But I say that is how they rob the customers. I am ready to go forward with legal terms as I cannot stand it. After this, I am never going back with EE even though they give me free service and I would not recommend anyone if you are a person with the principal and you don't want to get robbed.

Router doesn't stay connected for more than half an hour max, the majority of time it's down. I honestly don't know what I'm paying for since EE don't provide any actual service other than a stupid annoying yellow light. Customer service told us it's because the router is too close to other electronic devices, when it isn't. It's got its own corner of the room.
So if you want to pay £35 a month plus line rental for a blinking yellow light then go ahead, but you won't get anything more out of it.
I've been with EE for years, unfortunately they're my only option in this backwards, remote area. The routers never last more than a few months without ceasing to work, but at least they replace them for free.
I just want to go online, to use the internet like everyone else, but as long as I'm stuck with EE I don't see that happening anytime soon :(

I don’t know about other people but Iv always had good customer service, even when my internet had stopped working. EE gave me free data when I had no internet for three days. Iv had an EE engineer come out and very honestly said that, fibre internet isn’t in my area and not to get it if an EE sales person rings me to upgrade. I can’t fault EE, yes they are expensive but I would never go with virgin or sky or BT, as their customer service is terrible. Doesn’t make sense if BT took over EE, why does EE internet work fine in my area, but BT internet doesn’t. Very strange.

EE broadband is absolutely terrible. You won’t even get half of the average speed they state on their websites. Even when you complain about this all they do is ask you to reset you modem which doesn’t do anything.

EE treat their loyal customers, who have been with them for decades, unfairly. They charge them way more then new customers.
Last time I upgraded my broadband into Fibre broadband after having lowest speed. I agreed to pay £27 monthly by direct debit.
It has improved for a short time and got even worse after that.
Moreover, I was charged £32 per months.
This month I found out that I was charged £41 with no notifications or whatsoever. Very disgusted by this!!!
Can’t wait to leave EE!!!!!!

Don’t even bother using EE Broadband. Every time I try to use the internet, it will either just not work or it will work momentarily and suddenly crash. After speaking to customer service, they said that the problem would be solved. It worked fine for a few hours and then the problems only started to occur again. The broadband is also not worth the price as the speed of the packages they offer for the price they do is not a good deal; and I regret signing the contract. If I knew the broadband would offer so many issues, I wouldn’t have even considered EE as a potential option.

4 stars because Toni at EE was genuinely trying to help. Unfortunately, her determination was not matched by the service. If the broadband connection lasts more than an hour, it must be while I'm asleep or not looking. Changing to another supplier and it really cannot happen soon enough. If you are thinking about moving to EE...don't

Since we got this broadband I have at most had 5 mb/s. My parents are paying for a plan where we should at least have 20 mb/s. A few weeks ago before the lockdown in Edinburgh, a man came to try and fix it, he was nice but did nothing to improve our wifi. And just yesterday another man came (but couldn’t come into our house because of coronavirus) and did absolutely nothing to help. In fact my internet has slowed down even more, down to 0.4 mb/s. That is terrible!!! My parents for some reason don’t want to change broadband but this is the worst internet I’ve had in my life. As good as McDonalds wifi.

Switching to EE broadband has been one of the worst decisions I have ever made. I have been a long-standing mobile customer so it seemed a 'no brainer' to switch, taking into account the advertised speeds and the addition of 5 Gb of data to my mobile account each month, which is great because you will chew through that in the first few days each month when you don't even bother trying to connect your mobile to the broadband when at home. The speeds are awful (getting well less than 1 Mbps consistently), it keeps dropping out and it doesn't each more than about 6-7 m from the router. Avoid like the plague. Just do not bother.

Moved over last June to fibre due to poor internet speeds but staying with EE who were my provider. Initially received for a couple of months speeds of 28mb but this has slowly dwindled down to 23 to 25mb max and service can often be eratic. Not that happy but tied in for 18 months.

This is an initial review as line has only gone live this morning.
I had a chat I store with very helpful member of staff. Signed up, I've had emails and texts informing me of progress and when equipment would turn up. Everything happened when I was advised it would be.
Switchover day the old router was flashing, just unplugged that and plugged EE one in. There is a handy plastic tab on the side you can remove with the password and other info on, such a good idea.
Had no problems at all while experience has been seemless. Speed is 2mbps slower but likely to increase to 28 where it was when it's settled.
I used Call Centre once to ask if I'd need to contact Vodafone, that call was answered quickly and I was told they'd handle everything and they have.
So far very happy.
